Hey
Terrible service. Very slow and contentious. Waited 45 minutes. Asked where our food was. Waited 10 more minutes and the manager served us never saw our server again.

Amazing place! The staff and food was fantastic. Definitely get the escargot - perfection! My dirty martini was perfectly chilled and my husbandโs schnitzel was delicious! Busy, busy on a Friday night - definitely make a reservation.

I needed a night out, a good cocktail, and an excellent meal! Arranged an evening at Le Petit Bistro with friends. We started at the bar and proceeded to a lovely booth for dinner. It has been a while since I have left a restaurant having felt the money that I left there was worth it. I have to say absolutely everything about our night was perfect! My husband had a yummy beer, my friend had a fabulous wine, and I had the most delicious Pineapple Ginger Smash cocktail (ok- maybe more than one๐)! We did not have dinner at the bar but they brought us yummy, crusty, freshly baked rolls anyway. For dinner, my husband ordered a steak that was perfectly cooked. My friend had the pork schnitzel and I had the pork mignon. We discussed the fact that neither one of us eats much pork but had heard how good it is at LPB- so we wanted to try it. My friend said it was the best pork sheโs ever had. My pork mignon, wrapped in bacon, had a wonderful mustard sauce on it and was the most tender, juicy piece of pork I think I have ever had in my life! It was served with mashed potatoes and haricots verts, also delicious. The service was amazing, the people all seem happy to be working there, and I was happy to eat there! We have been talking about it since, it was that good! And we will be back, sooner than later!

On our last night in Rhinebeck, my wife and I dined at LePetit Bistro. The bistro serves dinner and brunch, has a full bar and bar seating. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. We began with appetizers of crispy oysters and the grilled eggplant. The oysters were lightly fried with cucumber and spicy mayo and the eggplant grilled perfectly with a yogurt sauce and cucumber. Both were delicious. Our entrees were the hanger steak and halibut. The halibut was served over rice and vegetables in a brown butter sauce and the steak in a rosemary mushroom sauce. The fish and steak were moist, tender and sauced perfectly. LePetit Bistro welcomes you to dinner in Paris.

Excellent delicious classic French menu. We wanted to lick our plates. Very good service. Real professionals here.

Very good food, good service. Tables are a bit close and somewhat noisy. But since we were on vacation, we made friends with the diners at the adjoining table.

First time at Le Petite Bistro. The bride and I sat at the bar and had dinner. Strongly recommend making reservation since itโs a popular place. We started with fresh oysters that were delicious. We had a selection from ME and MA. For my main I had the veal franchise with mashed potatoes and haricot vert, it was delicious! The bride had pan seared scallops on a bed of Mexican street corn, grilled zucchini and a nice aioli sauce. A nice bottle of French white wine supplemented the meal. Great staff and engaging bar crowd.

We had a great dinner here. Waitress was lovely. Really knew how to sell everything! But she was spot on. French onion soup was excellent. The schnitzel was perfect. Great wine selection! Really enjoyed this restaurant!

LePetit Bistro is easy to find in Rhinebeck. It is located where the two big town streets meet. The restaurant area is small. So expect an intimate ambiance with close set tables. The bar area can be noisy. If you prefer a more quiet experience - request a table in the back dining room. My wife and I enjoyed our dinners. Most specially we liked the corn soup. Service was friendly and responsive

Very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and the staff very knowledgeable relating to the food they were offering.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly and tasty
As visitors to the area, we found this place to be warm, welcoming, and serving excellent fare. Traffic made us late for our reservation but the staff was most accommodating. Crispy trout with sweet/ sour sauce was very good, pork schnitzel perfectly prepared. Thie bistro seems to be very popular with locals.

The staff are quite young men who did not hold back their annoyance at being asked for coffee late in the evening, and what we got was the oldest most awful coffee I have smelled in 30-40 years. And no Whipped cream on an irish coffee! Place has a decent reputation so perhaps they do better on other days, non-weekend, non-holiday, but I am unlikely to give them a better chance.

We were in town for a couple nights and went to LePetit Bistro for dinner our first night. We had some cocktails that were generous and tasty, a couple appetizers (escargot and heirloom tomatoes), and then entrees (swordfish and steak frites). All of the food was excellent and the service was great (although overall on the slow side, but that was fine with us as we weren't in a rush and had just arrived so we liked the people watching and seeing Rhinebeck go by).

My girlfriends and I had dinner here one night during our visit and we enjoyed it. We all tried something different and were happy with our meals. Service was good and outside dining was available.

My husband and I were very much looking forward to returning to this restaurant as we had been there last October. Back then we had great food and attentive service. I have to say it's as though we dined at a different place. Server took our order and we never saw him again. Took over an hour to get our food. My husband's appetizer was good but his veal marsala was tasteless and my shrimp tacos were crazy spicy. We had to get up to request the check. We were so disappointed. I really dislike writing a bad review especially since Covid but this was such a bad experience.

For many years, Lepetit was a place we could count on for excellent food and service. After a few years absence, we returned to a pretty dismal experience. To cut to the chase, my wife and I both ordered the pheasant.. It was almost inedible. It was tough as leather and dried out to the point where I wondered whether it was reheated from the night before. As for the service, it was pedestrian at best. After serving the main course, the waiter never returned to check on how the dinner was. When he came by after a while to collect the plates after we stopped attempting to eat our dinner, he asked my wife "How was your dinner?" My wife replied "Not very good" to which he replied "Well, that's too bad" and quickly walked away. Before writing this review, which we never intended to do, my wife made two calls to the restaurant to express our concerns about how poor our dinner was to the ownership/management. Both times, we were blown off and ownership/management never returned our calls. If you are looking for a special dining experience, which used to be the case for Lepetit, you may want to go somewhere else. For us, there is nothing special about being overcharged for a lousy meal and so-so service.

After not going out for a while we ventured out for a quick dinner with friends. Tables were well spaced apart, I didn't feel like we were on top of our neighbors. Dinner was delicious and the hot bread and butter hit the spot. Cocktails were wonderful and to finish our meal we had the creme brรปlรฉe. Best I've ever had! Can't wait to get back to this happening spot.

My husband called to make reservations well in advance to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived, they gave us the WORST table imaginable! It was jammed in a corner right by the kitchen door. Also, weโd have to sit next to each other! We couldnโt even converse properly. When I explained that this was for my birthday and thereโs no way we could have known to pick a specific table because we live FIVE hours away, they had no sympathy. I asked about a couple of tables that looked like they would be vacant and the answer was no, no, no.They did offer to give us an outdoor table due to a cancellation, but I was already so aggravated and it was very cold out. We left, went a few doors down to The Amsterdam and was treated like ROYALTY! (I left a review for them and you can see why).
If youโd prefer a place with no attitude, Iโd suggest a pass on this place.
