Le Sirenuse Positano Reviews from The Last Year
Nirvana in Positano
It took us way too long to discover this icon of a hotel. Fun like a family home, Le Sirenuse is a true icon of the hotel industry. As the saying goes “ money can’t buy class”. But, money can experience class. This hotel oozes class. Everything from the checkin to the checkout and everything in between just oozes class. Even though Le Sirenuse is on the expensive side, this is subjective, it is truly value for money if you enjoy the finer lifestyle. The hotel has so many tasteful surprises. There are many highlights, but the pool and breakfast are a standout. The location of the hotel is perfecto. The views are dreamy. Relaxing by the pool, relaxing at breakfast, just amazing. Did i mention the breakfast. One of the best globally. Their breakfast chef deserves a knighthood. Le Sirenuse also has a fantastic boutique of curated proprietary high end products. Unique and quality. Mens fashion items looked amazing as well as selected home products from ceramics to cushion covers. I had to buy a hand made fan. As the fan says, “ a little breeze of Positano”. Finally the staff. OMG. Second to none. Many who have been with the hotel and owners for decades. A real testament to current custodial owner, was having breakfast with the guests most days and making himself known to us. He sets the highest example for all staff to follow. Must experience this once in your life time. We will be back.
Le Sirenuse pure bliss
The staff and the beautiful views from the hotel make you never want to leave Le Sirenuse hotel. The food at all the restaurants was amazing and the breakfast in the morning will put you over the edge. I highly recommend this hotel if you need a little R&R in pure luxury.
Don't Waste Your Time Unless You Like Bad Service For Lots of Money
I was excited to stay at this hotel again after my phenomenal experience staying here in August 2022. However, my hopes were quickly dashed upon arrival. I had booked this reservation when the hotel opened reservations in 2023, wanting to ensure that I booked the same room as last in 2022. Immediately upon booking the hotel, I emailed them asking them to ensure that I got the same room as last time, even providing the room number. Fast forward to June 2024 when I check-in, and I'm shoved into a tiny little room on the top floor, nowhere near where I asked for. No accommodations were made. Then, fast forward to check out several days later, and the disaster continued. We were leaving really early in the morning and were assured staff would be available to bring down our luggage. We called the front desk multiple times with no response, so we had to bring our own bags down haphazardly in a five-star hotel that was not easy to navigate. Upon arriving in the lobby, we found the porter who assisted us the last five feet to our car and then found out why the front desk phone had not been answered. The front desk agent was drunk at 5:30 am. The front desk agent then proceeded to take 15 minutes to run my credit card, making mistakes multiple times and louding accusing me of not having enough money to pay my bill, when in fact it was user error with the machine. Thanks to this agent all of my primary credit cards were locked and had to use credit cards that charged me excessive international transaction fees for the remainder of my time in Europe until my bank in the US opened. I will never stay at this hotel again!
Picture Perfect Positano Resort
Long overdue review, but this hotel made such a lasting impression on us I had to leave one. We visited Sept 2023 and from the moment we arrived in Naples and our hotel-arranged driver picked us up to the moment we left the hotel it was a near perfect experience. Le Sirenuse is a literal dream with immaculate vibes and some of the best views of Positano from almost every angle. We tried each of the restaurants and were not let down once, and the complimentary sunset cruise with wine and local snacks was the cherry on top. The only recommendation I would make is to spend the extra money on a room with a view. We booked the most reasonable courtyard room and there was no view whatsoever, but luckily the vibe of the room was still great and the service at the hotel made up for it. The second day of our trip the AC went out and while we were walking around the property a bit frustrated that it was being repaired when we wanted to rest, a hotel employee we had not yet even met found us in a random section, greeted us by name and offered us complimentary beverages until the issue was resolved. THAT is five star service. We can’t wait to return and will only book Le Sirenuse when visiting Positano in the future.
DON"T THINK TWICE, BOOK THIS HOTEL!
My husband and I had a beautiful view from our room! The staff was very accommodating and professional. We will definitely be back! I 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for calm, upscale, and comfortable accommodations. This hotel is 100% worth it!
How fitting it was when I got to stay here for a few days
How fitting it was when I got to stay here for a few days during my cousin's writer's workshop back in March. I love how they continue to support writers. This was the workshop's 15th year. John Steinbeck once stayed here and wrote, "Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." It really is a breathtaking, magical city that I was fortunate to visit. What makes it even more amazing is that it is owned by the Sersale family from Naples who have opened up their summer vacation home and turned it into a lovely hotel in 1951. They had purchased the adjacent building next door to expand. This hotel was also once a US Army rest resort. It is still a family operated hotel with some staff. Antonio, the co-owner and general manager was at the writer's workshop dinner, and his wife Carla does the gardening throughout and designs for the Emporio Sirenuse boutique store across the street. Famous celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Kylie Jenner have also stayed here. The rooms are a good size. We had a marble bathroom with huge bathtub and a small patio seating that had wooden lattice windows that opened to the pool/terrace overlooking the beach. I'm shocked about a Dyson hair dryer in its own box. The turn down service was so great. They laid out my sleep clothes, a small towel on the floor near the bed, slippers, a Baci chocolate (my fave), bottled water, turned down the lights and put music on the TV, and gave a card with the weather report for the next day. It was helpful! Positano was chilly and sometimes rainy mid March. Antonio, not the co-owner though same first name, was at the front and greeted us when we transferred from our AirBNB. He was the sweetest and helpful when I inquired about a tour to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. Even when I left before the writer's workshop ended, he said I should stay. I really wished I could! I had already taken 3 days post spring break from work since I had been to Germany and was headed to London before going home. The spa was open to the writers and their +1s. After hiking Mt. Vesuvius, I got to sit and relax my muscles in the sauna, ice room, and did 2 dips in the cold plunge pool. The snacks and tea were great. I loved that there was a shower with Aveda products. The gym was also on the same floor. La Sponda restaurant at the hotel terrace area is a Michelin star. They're usually open for dinner, but they were closed because it was still considered winter and not open until the end of March or beginning April during peak season. We were fortunate to enjoy a cocktail hour prior to dinner at La Sponda specifically for the writer's workshop. They also served a buffet breakfast plus a la carte entrees for 2 days. I missed one day since I had my tour of Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius in Naples and left early am before breakfast. I did take advantage the second day! Btw, you can also order in room service. I loved everything at Le Sirenuse from all the plants and flowers to the detailed decor, epic views, delicious food and friendly staff. This was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.
Simply Amazing!
My wife and I stayed at Le Sirenuse for 3 nights and I can comfortably say that it is simply the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We are lucky to have stayed in other 5-star hotels all over the world, but the way the staff treat you here is just on another level. It’s like they are genuinely pleased to have you as a guest and they clearly love their role in catering for your needs. Yes, accommodation along with food & drink is expensive, but the Amalfi Coast is not aimed at visitors looking for a budget holiday. And talking of food…the breakfast…amazing and an amazing view in which to eat it! If you’re planning to stay here, make sure you book one of the hotel’s cruises, which are exclusively arranged for their guests. Highly recommended. I cannot fault anything with this hotel. Location, views, rooms, staff, food, pool, activities, service and attention to detail…all perfect. Thank you Giovani and your wonderful team. And see you next year. Grazie mille!
One of the world’s special restaurants
My wife and I visited La Sponda at Le Sirenuse to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. This was to be the culinary highlight of our trip and it did not disappoint. The food was without doubt some of the best we have ever tasted - beautifully served it look as wonderful as it tasted. The service was brilliant and the sommelier was very good at recommending something that was not the most expensive on the list but still was superb. A special place for a special occasion - but not stuffy - they make every guest feel special.
Beautiful hotel that looks like it is set on a post card
Beautiful hotel placed in a postcard setting The styling of this hotel is impeccable. Every minor detail has been covered to create this visually perfect hotel. Staff are great in the hotel and are extremely attentive to your needs. Every member of staff greats you will a welcoming smile and some friendly chat. Housekeeping staff do a great job and are extremely friendly. La sponda is an experience. Make sure to try it when staying here Location is perfect in Positano. This hotel is located central to both town and beach with simple walking routes surrounding. Just prepare from steps outside as expected. Perfect hotel for some R&R
We stopped here for drinks.
Prices are steep and we didn't have a seaside view since we didn't have a reservation. However, all of our drinks were delicious. My dad really likes gin and tonic and sampled various ones in Positano and this one was the best. My Dream cocktail was ethereal and also quite yummy. The seating area for cocktails was like an oasis and had heating lamps.
Just Booked
So I haven't stayed at this resort yet, will be staying in summer. But, I can only say so far amazing things. I booked for 2 nights and the concierge has been amazing. They have booked my restaurants, made reservations for their inhouse boat which is included of no charge. They also inlcude tastings, multiple types of boat tours, breakfast buffet and beach club access all included. can't wait!
My Dream come true at Le Sireuse
Le Sireuse is in my list since April 2000 Due to Covid I have to cancel that trip However, I decide my first trip since pandemic to me here. Love the service from friendly staff , the weather is not good when I get here but I have a very beautiful memories here. Need to have a lot of budget since Positano is high cost living. Not recommend to come during long holiday by bus is disaster. I was there during easter and it's very pack.
A perfect experience -- I wish I could have stayed longer!
I stayed at Le Sirenuse solo for only one night leading up to a wedding in Ravello and am so glad that I did! The stay was basically flawless. An easy transfer organized by the hotel from Naples and a smooth check-in experience with Maria at the front desk kicked off the stay. I arrived before my room was ready, and Maria did a great job of reviewing my itinerary, explaining how to make the most of my limited time on-property and smoothly handing me off to various English-speaking employees before I arrived at the pool restaurant for lunch. The pool, bar and casual restaurant are the heart of the property because of their extraordinary views of Positano and the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is truly one of the best views one could desire for lunch, pool lounging, reading etc. (and with views are clear and sunny most days the property is opened between April and October). Food across the board was excellent. I had a wonderful lunch at the pool (tomato salad and club sandwich) with generous portions, a nice bread service with housemade tapanade and Le Sirenuse olive oil, an amuse bouche and very attentive staff (e.g. they offered a table in the shade as the sun shifted midway through my meal, they brought another cocktail, olives and almonds to snack on after I finished my meal). La Sponda was a wonderful experience too. Elevated food featuring local ingredients, a flexible menu, live music and beautiful views (as with everywhere on this property). The service is what really stood out in a week full of great food — I was instantly recognized and greeted when I came down the stairs for dinner, the sommelier did an amazing job of pairing the a la carte dishes I chose with local wines, and the service was warm and helpful, but never overwhelming or pushy. I was in the base room as I booked a couple of weeks before my stay at a time when the property is generally sold out. The room was very comfortable, and had a nice view (albeit limited compared to the higher room categories). There was a festival in town that night so it was wonderful listening to the sounds of Italian music, Positano and sea breezes outside of my window while lounging in the room...and thankfully the sound insulation was great when it was time for bed. I loved the take-home gift offered in the room (I won’t spoil it), and all of the thoughtful touches, local handiworks and artwork throughout the property that extended to the room. It was basically a perfect stay. The only constructive criticism I would offer is that the gym is limited in the weight equipment it offers — it would be great to get a full rack of free weights to use as the one set of adjustable dumbbells that they have was in use while I was there so I had to wait a while, and the base rack only goes up to 20kgs or so. I would love to return and stay for longer. There were plenty of activities included on offer (sunset cruise, walking tour of Positano), and the location of the property is ideal for exploring town and walking to the beach. There were also several bars (Aldo’s, Don’t Worry) and an extensive menu of food options that I didn’t have time to enjoy. The stellar service from beginning to end made the experience even harder to leave! Can't wait to be back!
Be prepared to drop $$$.
Cocktails were $28 each but definitely worth it to try! The food is good; though, I wouldn't say it was life changing. I ordered the steak for 2 and really didn't feel like I was close to being full. You're really here for the vibes and energy. During dinner there was a band that would go table to table singing and playing music and a bunch of random freebies (e.g. limoncello at the end of dinner, some desserts). The table that we were sat at was gorgeous with an amazing view out into the ocean. I think if you're in Positano and you're able to come to Le Sirenuse, you should! It's an experience that is unforgettable! Note that you have to make a reservation in advance!
Heaven can wait! We’ve found it here
Heavenly home from home. Our 19th visit. And we are never disappointed. Having stayed at some of the most glorious hotels we always feel Le Sirenuse tops the charts. The amazing attentive staff wrap their arms around you (metaphorically) like a cosy blanket. Relax on the terrace. Enjoy the food in the divine restaurants, and Mauro on reception is one of the warmest kindest people. Definitely family run. Generations of love has gone into every detail. Thank you Sirenuse Family. We shall see you 2024!
Wedding Anniversary Celebration
We chose The Sirenuse to celebrate our 30 th wedding anniversary , From the moment we arrived to when we sadly had to leave the experience was first class. We were in a standard room which was comfortably furnished , perfect view from our terrace . Linen and towels plentiful and water supplied each evening . The 2 restaurants , Aldo’s on our first night was great , and La Sponda where we celebrated our anniversary the evening was amazing we were serenaded at the table and the room was bestowed with candles , pool bar and don’t worry bar all the staff were friendly professional and made our stay such a fabulous trip . We were lucky to go on the hotels sunset cruise which was very special and shared by other hotel guests the crew were excellent . Fabulous hotel , thanks to all for an amazing stay .
One of the finest hotels in the world in one of the world’s most beautiful locations.
As expected, truly amazing in every way. One of the finest hotels in the world. Incredible room, views, cuisine, and staff. Leonardo and his concierge staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. Luigi and his pool service staff catered to our every need.
An amalfi icon
I stayed here with my husband for two nights after arriving from Capri. It was lovely. It’s an exclusive hotel, as others have mentioned earlier - and frankly, in a town like Positano; that is needed…a respite from the crowds and the ability to stay somewhere family run and steeped in history. As a member of Leaders Club from The Leading Hotels of The World, I was treated like a VIP, got an upgrade, and enjoyed some great perks like breakfast in their restaurant La Sponda; which was an epic spread that also included ala carte menus. My husband and I spent most of the time here as Positano can get tiring with the crowds: we went for a hike and came back to use the spa, soaked in the sun and dipped in the pool, had a wonderful tour of the garden one morning and learned about the details they care for in this property, and even took a rigorous Pilates class. Truly a special gem in the Amalfi; a recommended stay if you can do so. big kisses to the team here. Michael and Ramy
Rude
Staff at entry were incredibly rude. Hotel was booked so couldn’t stay there unfortunately so I was looking forward to going to eat at the restaurant. I was told I was too early and couldn’t even look out the windows. I was told I couldn’t look out the windows unless I was staying there. This was in the main lobby. Very bizarre. Shocked at the treatment at a hotel of this level. Would never stay here.
Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!!!
Third stay … always breathtaking. What a wonderful view of this magical place. Rooms could be a little larger, but they work and include everything you wish for. Service is great and prompt. The breakfast (incl.) is fantastic and offers everything you are looking for in Italy. And the views …

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!

This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
