Possibly the most uncomfortable outside seating in NYC
Went here not by choice - friend chose it for her birthday last minute when change in plans meant we couldn’t go to her first choice. The street is gross. The area around the restaurant highly unattractive, the seats uncomfy (the metal ones inside looked equally unappealing), the tables small and the food - the risotto was overcooked and the cauliflower was decent but drowning in cheese - sadly the only two options on the menu for a vegetarian. The bike shop or whatever it is next door just further ruins the atmosphere. Honestly it looks like a dive bar. Couldn’t wait to get away from there.

Love this place. Friendly, mostly small plates menu of awesome quality with great veggie options. Wine was beautiful and owners are a hoot. Buzzy with locals and just had the best time. Definitely worth going to.

This charming French -Basque wine bar on the LES is top notch in so many ways. It has high quality outdoor seating in plastic "igloos" .
Service was warm, helpful and attentive. Food was super delish. We had small plates: a luscious burrata; creamy "tartiflette" [not your usual potatoes potatoes au gratin] ; delicate beet salad [even for those who don't like beets]. We mentioned it was a birthday, and a lava cake appeared, courtesy of the chef-- also, pure heaven!
It's known for its wine but also has a full brunch menu! An oasis of excellent food in an unexpected place!
Cute wine bar
Rustic chic French wine bar with cute décor, candlelit, French music right in the Lower East Side. Happy hour till 7pm ($8 selected white, red and rose wines).
I had this place on my “want to go bucket list” and finally made my way down to LES last night. Visited this adorable wine bar for happy hour and stayed well beyond that! A charming neighborhood spot.
Great service, good food and fantastic wine selection. It totally lived up to my expectations.
The dinner menu has a great selection including French classics such as escargot, foie gras, roasted Brie and charcuterie
Loved everything about it! The food, the wine, the atmosphere. Very small restaurant with excellent service and food.
Food –
• Tarte Flambee “French Pizza” – Alsacienne: bacon, cream yogurt, onions & nutmeg
• Tarte Flambee “French Pizza” – La Parisienne: Paris ham, gruyere, cherry tomatoes, cream yogurt, onions & nutmeg
• Escargot a la Francaise: butter parsley and garlic sauce
The escargot was probably the best I had in NYC! Both French Pizzas were delicious but La Parisienne was just fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!
A touch of romance
Cozy, calm, gorgeous spot. French decor and simple but great wine list.
Excellent costumers service. Will return!
Mediocre customer service and mediocre wine
A French wine bar in LES. The male bar tender is efficient and attentive, but not entirely welcoming or inviting with sincere warmth. Probably not Pierre the owner. Oddly, I was the sole patron in the business at that time of day for a early Thursday evening in the mist of summer's epic blazing heat, humidity, haze and physical exhaustion. I needed relief to shoot libation. The air conditioning is extremely weak as it felt like the same stifling hot temperature outdoors. When asked "are you from around here?" as the make bar tender automatically ASSUMED which implies I am a tourist rather than a native New Yorker. I am not the girl who he wanted but a silent writer with angry words to attack and expose one's malice attitude. Truth. I refuse to pay attention or to answer. Keep writing! No Happy Hour is available. Yelp mobile check-in offer is available. No crackers are offered in the menu. I like the decorum on the bar counter of a single black slate coaster quote inscribed: "A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine" and "wine makes me awesome." The facade contains the company's name with the French flag colors: blue, white and red.
Chenin Blanc Vouvray (Loire Valley, France) $12
Semi-sweet but engaging wine.
Roasted Brie on the bread $11
Served warm with honey and rosemary herb. One of my favorite cheeses, French Brie was tainted with honey and rosemary herb and warm which I prefer prepare "as is" in its natural state without any additives.
Relaxing Spot for Enjoying Wine and Small Bites
My wife and I hung out here for a couple of hours. The service was terrific. We had several glasses of wine, cheese, meats, pate and even some escargot. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing. We will return for sure.

We were visiting Lower east side with my girl friend,we stop for a glass of wine at Lena ,they have a very good selection around 35 by glass unusable in NYC,the waitress and bar tender was very friendly ,after couple of glasses and smelling the cooking we decide to have our dinner here.
We start by cheese and charcuterie plate and roasted Brie my girl friend took tuna tartare and me the short ribs everything was amazing.
I recommend this place for spend great time and have a good dinner.
Should Have Known Better
I guess I'm slipping, as I failed to notice that there were only 2 TA reviews for this restaurant. This will be #3. This place was a nightmare from the moment we walked in. I have been to some loud restaurants in the past, but this one took the prize by far. VERY LOUD PATRONS (MOSTLY MILLENNIALS) TRYING TO SEE WHO COULD TALK THE LOUDEST. If you're getting annoyed by reading this all caps text, (i.e., shouting), you get the picture. There was one obviously overwhelmed person who served as both the hostess and the waitress. I told her that we had a reservation, and she didn't bother to ask my name. Just pointed to a table across the restaurant and said, "you can sit over there". Came back about 10 minutes later with two glasses of water, then left. Came back about 10 minutes later and said, "do you know what you'd like to drink?' At this point, we bailed and had dinner elsewhere. My sense is that this is a very popular spot for the younger crowd to go and have drinks and small plates, but is not the kind of place you want to go for a romantic night on the town in NYC.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this bar, only dropping in for one initially and ended up staying all night. The owner was very welcoming and food was great! Highly recommend it.
