Birthday meal
I have known this restaurant for a long time, and this year, I decided to entrust Eric and Caroline with my husband's birthday meal. I opted for a “fish” menu. Our friends were really won over. From start to finish, refined, tasty dishes, for a really reasonable price. For those looking for a gourmet restaurant, I recommend, without hesitation, the Estellan in Lorgues. Congratulations again to Eric and Caroline for this meal.

Disappointed without even having taken a seat
We had reserved a table for 7:30 p.m. hours to celebrate our wedding anniversary as well as to end our 10-day stay in Var with pleasure. Unfortunately, we were 20 minutes early. The good woman (I suppose the boss… well done) made us understand that we were not at all welcome before opening in the evening and that she was eating with the staff. So, 20 minutes early and not able to serve customers an aperitif (work for 5 minutes) or even a bottle of champagne (work for 3 minutes). But then left a message on the answering machine why we didn't cancel. Really funny. I hope you do better next time. Without my wife and me, because we would never forgive each other in the event of repetitive disturbances at dinner before opening in the evening. Oddly enough, gastronomy constantly complains that it is having problems. Well then… Respectful greetings from 2 very disappointed customers. (Fortunately, all the other restaurants in Lorgues, Videauban, Tourtour and Sillans-la-Cascade appreciated the visit of customers who had traveled almost 1000 km to visit this beautiful region) Marco Versall
Wonderful experience
Lovely scenery, great food and friendly staff.. what more can you want? It’s a small menu which we love because the produce were super fresh.
Sublime Wedding Meal.
We chose this restaurant that we particularly like in a beautiful green setting for our wedding (Famille Papin July 1st). The meal was exquisite. Fine and tasty quality dishes, from appetizers to starters, a very delicate sea bass carpaccio. Then the lamb cooks with care And to finish with a delicious homemade strawberry with a personal touch. A very nice wine list from the region, we chose Château St Martin and Clos d Alari. Very competent, professional and smiling service. Thank you for giving us an unforgettable meal.
A huge disappointment!
I trusted TA reviews and booked a reservation for dinner at this restaurant well in advance of our trip to Lorgues. The Michelin recommendation intrigued me as well as the high praise from reviewers. We travel to Europe annually (France, Italy, Greece), so we are used to European standards of dining, which may differ from what we are used to in the US. We arrived at 7:30 to see that 3 tables had already been seated ahead of us and served aperitifs. We sat down, shortly afterwards two more tables of diners (2, 4) were seated. We waited patiently as we received no menu (only on the wall), nor water. We were a little taken aback when the two tables seated after us received their complementary appetizer plate and had drink orders taken before we did. In fact they received their drinks before anyone paid attention to us. We finally did get our appetizer plate and placed our aperitif orders and food orders at 8:10. It was really hard to eat anything from the appetizer plate without even a glass of water to accompany it! We heard as the wait person explained the wall menu in English to the 4 top seated near us, but when it came time for her to explain it to us, we didn’t get a complete explanation of the Ala carte items. I wanted to ask about the possibility to make a change or substitution, but didn’t want to make waves, so I didn’t ask. We ordered two starters and a cheese plate, as we both wanted to eat light. We watched as tables around us received their orders. Our starters finally were delivered to us at 9:05, 95 minutes after we sat down. We both understand what dining is like in Europe, that there is no hurry, but this was on the ridiculous side. After finishing our starters, we canceled the cheese plate, for fear that it might not arrive for another hour, paid the bill and left. What a disappointing evening, We felt forgotten, and unwelcome. I can’t see how this is a Michelin recommended restaurant . The food we did receive was fine, but not outstranding in any way. If Michelin is recommending this as a fine dining experience, then the experience should include the service, too. We’ve had better service in local cafes.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
