Nice, but the portions are so SMALL!

I went here with four work friends. The food was nice but heads up - the portions are so SMALL! My main arrived (the chicken and mushroom ravioli) and there were literally five parcels on the plate - very disheartening to see. All my friends had the same reaction. We ended up having to order more just because we were still so hungry, which I guess is exactly what Lina Stores want you to do! It put a dampener on what could've been a nice meal. Wouldn't go back.

Tiny pasta portions served on side plates, 4 mushroom pasta parcels, maybe 7 ravioli, bread small also, sharing prawn platter not very tasty. Service was shocking- food almost thrown down, no serving spoons for sharing dishes, my glass was whisked away before I'd finished, no finger bowl or debris plate for the prawns, food cool not hot, the table next to us waited half an hour for their food and to cap it all they add 12 .5% for service. Avoid this place it's not good.

I went to Lina stores in Soho two days ago and it's one of the most affordable fancy dinner spots in the area. The aesthetic is quaint with great lighting and a downstairs bar area. Ricardo's service was quick and helpful, as he pointed us to the three best pastas. We ordered the duck ragu pappardelle, tagliolini with truffle, and pici with Umbrian sausage. They were all filling, the pappardelle was sweet and tender while the Tagliolini was creamy and perfectly Al dente; definitely order this one. The pici was a bit salty so I would recommend going for the pumpkin ravioli instead. The gelato was also creamy and would recommend the pistachio and lemon. Each pasta was between £8-14 and the gelato was 2 scoops for £4--a steal! Would definitely go back.

I would recommend asking for a table away from the door, but LS, were very accommodating and provided a different table. Cannot fault the delicious pasta, vegan options, focaccia bread and selection of desserts. Alongside the excellent service and beautiful modern interiors.

Great interior, great atmosphere! Very friendly staff, who suggested a simple pommodore for our 9-year-old daughter. She warned us that the portions were small. And yes indeed, the portions were small, but it was enough and simply delicious! Instead, we enjoyed our tiramisu and the kids enjoyed their ice-cream. To London standards (compared to the other restaurants we visited during our three days) this was a very price friendly restaurant! Price / quality absolute top! And again very friendly staff who sang a birthday song to at least two tables...

We had the most beautiful pasta (and other treats) here; we liked that the portions weren't overwhelming, allowing us to enjoy some antipasti and desserts too. Fantastic value for the quality. This was the tastiest and most authentic pasta we've had outside of Italy. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in London. All the staff were really friendly, especially the chefs who interacted with us as we sat at the kitchen counter. What a great find!

Truly a taste of paradise! A wonderful oasis in the city especially if you book and avoid busiest times. All the staff were attentive and knowledgeable.. As for the Ravioli don’t upset me and tell me that It was a dream ! So tasty and delightfully presented.

Some of the nicest pasta I’ve ever eaten outside of Italy. We shared a few starters between the three of us - the deep fried artichokes with aioli were amazing as was the focaccia although our waiter committed the cardinal sin of taking the plate away when I was mopping the remainder of aioli with bread. WHAT WAS HE THINKING?!!! I forgot this soon enough when my pasta arrived which was Just. Beautiful. I’ve seen a fair few reviews commenting negatively on the portion size. I must admit I thought initially it was small however after taking my time to enjoy it and eat mindfully, actually it was the perfect size. If you want a heap of dry pasta from a bag, go to Bella Italia. If you want the handmade good stuff, eat here. For pudding we both had the Sicilian Christmas cake. Which was definitely a mistake because as tasty as it was it was enormous. You could definitely share this. I’m really quite sad on returning to my home town that we have no where that makes really great proper pasta, reasonably priced. Lina Stores, please come to Leicester!

I mean, it's utterly, totally amazing. Perfectly al dente pasta, buttery and savoury pea filling. Even my husband, who's not a vegetarian, admitted it was fantastic. The portion size is decent for the prize. I also had the lemon pasta and whilst it's perfectly al dente and both lemon-scented and tasting, with heaps of cheese... but it's not the ravioli. My husband's ragu though was disappointing to him... even I was surprised at the lack of flavour compared to the other dishes. Great limoncello spritzer and overly sweet cherry Bellini. Great service and lovely pistachio-coloured interior.

We've been yesterday in this venue, we've been seated on the counter where the chefs cooks was an amazing experience! They were very welcoming and charming, looking at them cooking was absolutely stunning, Mimmo and his team were absolutely great! The service was amazing, food was so good that we order 4 portions of pasta and we were 2. I highly recommend this place! We left really happy.

We visited two Fridays ago with friends. It’s a lovely restaurant with friendly staff. The food was tasty, we couldn’t fault it, but the portion sizes were tiny, two prawns in the Casarecce alla Calabrese is not good value. Service was slow but that’s understandable given the staffing issues all restaurants are having to cope with. It’s a lovely restaurant but we left feeling hungry so I can’t recommend.

The food here is excellent. We chose 5 of the smaller dishes between 4 of us to have a chance to sample a range. The pasta is cooked to perfection and still has that ‘bite’ the Italians rave about. Tasty starters and excellent deserts. The staff were friendly and attentive. The interior is modern and relaxed. It was hard to get an evening booking which says something about its popularity. It’s on the list for a return visit!,

A great dinner for a family of 4. The restaurant accomodated easily to two of us being vegans. Booked a table only an hour in advance. Would most definitely recommend to anyone as an amazing place for dinner in the City.

This is AN EXPENSIVE, NOISY PLACE!. The portions are tiny! The drinks are expensive. Whatever they add by way of food colourings and preservatives gave me a night of AGONY, with indigestion OFF THE SCALE!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! If however you want to be ripped off with tiny portions that were not even HOT, and enjoy a night of severe indigestion, then this is the place for you! I will not be returning.

I wish I could love this place but the service is way too slow and the food is mediocre for its price. Made a reservation for the large group and they capped us for 90mins. But their service is super slow it took 20mins for the drinks to come and also very slow to get another drink. The food itself taste ok, I had the crab pasta taste awful, the portion is so small that I had to order another pasta. All the pasta are blend have to add salt and pepper.

I had the best pasta dish EVER in this restaurant. In my case, this was the fennel sausage ragout dish, but the rest of the table agreed that their dishes were also stunningly good. And we have eaten in a LOT of Italian restaurante around the world... The starters were nice, the service was good, the restaurante nicely decorated. The only criticism would be that it is VERY noisy. So certainly not an ideal place for a romantic meal.

Visited as we were staying near to Kings Cross and this place had good reviews on Trip. Clearly, the majority are accurate as we enjoyed our food (Ragu pappardelle well recommended) and very good quality wine. Excellent service.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
