Not again, sadly
Second time staying here. This time 4 of us in Field 11 - one of their family suites that accommodates 4 ppl. We stayed one night including eating dinner and breakfast at Campo. Dinner at Campo: It was a fri night and it was busy. Server was friendly. Their sommelier Graham stopped by to help us with some wine selection and he was lovely! Def the best person we engaged with that night. Each time the staff would bring us the food we ordered they dropped it off on the table without a word (typically I'd expect at least an explanation of what the dish was) and no serving utensils. Our empty plates stayed on the tables for way way too long with no bussing. Just really poor service and flow - especially for the price. Based on that one meal I would not recommend Campo. Room/checkout: The suite was nice. 2 bedrooms, cute living room w/small kitchen and a little patio too. It did the trick for sure! Here's my beef....I booked it at a $660 rate (which already felt a little pricey considering it is March but whatev). I check out and the room is now $720. I complained to the manager and turns out that the rate for the suite that is intended for 4 ppl (2 bedrooms, 1 king, 2 fulls) is based on double occupancy and therefore the rate was increased b/c we were 4 ppl. The policy makes zero sense to me. But, really it was the manager who could have easily resolved this and didn't and instead sent me a screenshot of the room T&Cs to prove her point left a really bad impression with me. Sadly, I won't be staying here for a third time and I share my experience for others to make their own decisions. I will also say I def did get a similar vibe that other commenters shared - in general, guests are kinda treated as cramping on the employees time/space and I really don't like spending money at places that aren't welcoming and warm.
Be the first to ReplyUnique lodging and awesome setting for Autumn!
Really unique and well maintained restored farm and lodging, the rooms are very nice and well appointed. The store onsite is not to be missed and be sure to walk the grounds, it's really lovely. Cocktails outside at the bar/lounge is really great atmosphere, service was top notch. We ate breakfast both days at the restaurant, delicious, be sure to make a reservation, it's very popular. One evening we ate at the restaurant which was also very nice, we ended up at the bar as we didn't have a reservation but service was still fine and it's a pleasant place to people watch. Definitely a special event kind of place but very special indeed.
Be the first to ReplyShafted on room booked, unhelpful & dishonest staff & mgmt, hit & miss pricey food
We were shafted on our room by Brad at check in who exclaimed, "You are in the Greely suite, one of my favorites" which immediately clued my husband in that this was not going to be good. The two Greely suites -- previously not shown on the Los Poblanos website for good reason -- are old dilapidated & filthy with a very small kitchen & sitting area, large bedroom with low ceiling and old bathroom, nothing like the Meem Deluxe king we booked for two nights (see photo of our confirmation). The only thing charming about the Greely was the peacock poop littered about the entire front porch which no one bothers to clean. We love old properties, just not dilapidated & filthy when expecting renovated & clean. Returned to reception and Brad insisted that the Greely suite is a Meem room, seriously a joke as they are in a different building, except we were in no mood to laugh, and the Meem rooms are called Meem. Brad, the giveaway is in the name. Mona the manager REFUSED to speak with us and Brad said only other room available was a family suite that would cost us over $1000 per night. Finally as we were about to leave, Brad spoke to Mona, then told us we could have the family suite at no extra cost, but would have move to a South Fields room the following day, not ideal nor relaxing to pack up in the morning and move but we had no other choice. And neither was the lovely room we had booked and were expecting. The family suite is lovely but know that the kids "room" is a set of bunk beds in a tiny room that literally only fits the bunk beds and the suite is not at all private like Meem rooms. You have people walking around on all sides. The master suite is fantastic and at the back so quiet compared to rest of suite but you get a view of trucks driving by all morning. I don't wish to sound ungrateful but the suite was hard on us due to a family tragedy which is why I resisted being placed there in the first place. Our dinner that evening was spectacular; sweet potato pierogi w/kim chi, crispy pork & pickled cabbage, fresh tomato spaghetti and lamb birria with homemade tortillas. Perfection preceded by La Isley Bonita, a unique cocktail made esp delicious with Laphroig. Service was great and sitting outside was lovely, a faultess meal which we thoroughly enjoyed after a rough check in that took us by surprise at such a lovely looking property. But don't let the looks fool you, we would not stay here again. The following morning we had to pack up & move, as of course the other room not be ready until 3 pm. We stayed on the property and first did a walk around of the old mansion house spectacularly beautiful but also a bit creepy when you know the history of NM, then we went to yoga in the yurt with Marisol. That was the highlight of our stay. Marisol is a wonderful teacher & lovely person. There were only three of us so she tailored the class to our capabilities and limitations. Plus she was lovely to speak to, providing a bit of history about the area and suggestions of sights to visit. Our new room South Field #5 initially seemed fine until we tried to sleep. The loud extractor fan in the bathroom does not turn off and the fridge hums super loudly, overall a very poor room for sleep quality. In addition to fridge & fan noise, it's the first room closest to reception and parking lot so you get car and foot traffic. The bedside lamp is pointless because you cannot turn it off while in bed. Blinds have to be down on all sides or zero privacy, and the blinds are not black-out. Finally, the bedding is not sanitary, consisting of a duvet between two sheets so you exposed to the germs on the duvet of everyone else whose slept in this room. Gross & worrying. Dinner our second night was a total let down and we wished we'd gone off property. There were tons of tables available but we were seated in walkway right where all the servers came out so it was non stop traffic. Luckily our server allowed us to move to one of the many empty tables. The warm potato salad was tasteless but the Riesling pairing was superb. Roasted mushroom agnolotti was a disaster with only three tiny pieces of mushrooms but tons of peppers instead -- kitchen must have run out of mushrooms, in which case it should have been taken off the menu -- and a bland mealy cheese filling more like ricotta rather than tangy smooth goat cheese stated on the menu. Most disappointing was the NM ribeye. First of all, it was not a ribeye and second it was just not up to the standards and cost of this type of resto, poor cut of meat & poorly cooked. We couldn't eat it. Brunch on the day of our departure was fine, probably because we started with peach Bellinis. One thing I don't understand is that the property makes a big deal about reservations -- we made them for all meals and their website shows fully booked and not one of the dinners or brunch was the restaurant close to full. Also, the young hostesses are nice but clueless & it appears the blankets are only for NM residents or people that the staff know, not a very kind or welcoming practice. This was our last stay on a two week trip throughout NM which we thought would be the highlight and it was a total let down. The property itself is beautiful but the staff and mgmt are horrific which leaves a really bad feeling and the rooms are not up to snuff. We might come again to eat but not to stay. Possibly the Meem rooms are as nice as they look but the South Fields and North Fields are noisy and lack privacy with unsanitary bedding and poor sleep quality. It's a real shame because we enjoyed the yoga class, pool and the animals on the property are gorgeous, all of them but especially Mouse the orange cat, the male peacock outside South Fields room, and the alpacas. BTW, the Greely Suites have now been added to the Los Poblanos website under the name "Meem deluxe suite." I'd suggest a rename to Mealy as that's a more apt description. They are totally separate building from the Meem rooms- -- described as historic 1930's -- in an overgrown and untended area of the property & nothing like the Meem rooms. Everything about the Greely was old & grubby. Avoid at all costs.
Be the first to ReplyBest food ever!
The food and food service are superb. Worth every star. Four of us had a memorable meal for about $325, two of us with alcohol and two without. Flavorful, just exactly enough, imaginative, innovative, and fun, with careful (but not bothersome) attention to food allergies. I had goat cheese and mushroom agnolotti with sushito peppers, and for dessert an apple caramel tart served with a dollop of rosemary ice cream nestled atop pistachios. Amazing.
Be the first to ReplyPretentious, will ignore you
I would give this place less than a star if possible. The pretentious nature of the staff and management is palpable. Trying to reserve events that they feel they can't accommodate, results in them ignoring you and leaving you hanging without information. Also, despite having a farm and kitchen of their own, somehow disables them to be able to cater for private events. If you want to go into massive amounts of debt for little to no service provided, this is the place for you.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience!
We really loved the Inn. So much character and loved seeing the peacocks. Unfortunately for us our flight was delayed and only had the room for two nights so we didn't get to enjoy the facilities as to we were there for a wedding. We definitely would book again everyone was so kind and attentive...Front desk really accommodated our checking in at almost 2a.m. Again... Although we were stressed due to delayed flight and lost baggage from the airline front desk really made us feel welcome!

Excellent food, a beautiful location and our server Britain was outstanding. The wine list is very extensive, a bit pricey but great choices. The octopus was excellent only too spicey to enjoy the delicate flavor of the octopus. The strio steaks were delicious & cooked exactly to order as was the wild salmon. The duck was perfect.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is riding on its location; service and rooms severely lacking
We stayed one night in a Meem deluxe suite. I'm glad we didn't stay longer. It's billed as a space for guests "seeking privacy and serenity." Well, we could hear our neighbors talking at a normal volume and we could VERY clearly hear the gentleman snoring all night. How serene and private! The couch had a tear in it and the furnishings just look old and tired. And I don't mean they look antique. I mean they look like they came from Wayfair and need to be replaced. The carpet in the bedroom looked dirty and old as well. When I checked in, I noticed immediately that the window blinds in the bathroom were completely broken and laying on the floor. I went to the front desk to tell them this, and they just casually said they'd send someone to look at it. No apology. No, "sorry for the inconvenience." Just, "We'll have to send maintenance to your room." (Here's a tip, Los Poblanos: guests don't want to deal with maintenance fixing things in the room when they check in. They want to relax.) I waited around bit for maintenance in my room and then went to get something from the car. When I returned, there were tools outside my room door and the door was completely open. No one was inside. I knew maintenance would be sent and I have no problem with them going in to fix the blinds as requested. But I had about $10K worth of cameras just sitting inside the door that anyone could have swiped. It's crazy to me that the guy couldn't have locked -- or even closed! -- the door. He returned 10 minutes later and fixed the blinds. All in all, definitely not worth $500.

Dining Al fresco with a view of the mountains, sunset and sunflowers was breathtaking! The service and food were the best of our trip! Look forward to returning and staying at the Inn. The cocktails were fun and inventive, and I love the salmon with rhubarb sauce (surprised how well they went together).
Be the first to ReplyWhat a find!
On a family trip to New Mexico we decided to take a couple of days at this beautiful farm. Our 11 and 14 year old like to relax and get away from it all. They loved having tea and walking all the beautiful gardens and just taking in the beauty of nature. Campo the restaurant is a must if you are foodies like our family is and our room North Field 1 felt like we were in a shabby sheik photo shoot. We rode bikes down to penny’s card shop and check out a bookstore and sent boxes of lavender products home to the East Coast. This is a truly magical place . A place to get away from it all. We will be back soon!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Dinner
This restaurant came highly recommended by several waiters from Santa Fe restaurants, so we had to try!. They were right; this restaurant deserves a special trip on it's own. The menu is unique. Every dish was prepared perfectly. The property is gorgeous. It is worth a detour. Probably one of the best dining experiences in Albuquerque.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful place, nice rooms and staff
We came to Albuquerque for the weekend and decided to splurge a bit and stay at Los Poblanos. The location and grounds are beautiful. The service is good and the food is very good. My only complaint is that while the Campo bar/restaurant is open and serving drinks, that a small menu should be available to order appetizers from. I understand they only serve brunch and dinner but between the time of brunch and dinner some kind of small plates should be offered. As it is, they don’t offer this appetizer menu until 5:00 pm. However, if you are there at 4:00 pm sitting on the patio, enjoying the view it would be nice to be able to order small appetizers especially if you are serving your guest alcohol.
Be the first to ReplyA Perfect Place
The location, grounds, room, and food are carefully curated to celebrate the debt we all owe to farmers and the great tradition of sustainable living. The farm to fork experience does not dissappoint. All staff are knowledgeable and thoroughly trained to help guests slow down and savor their time at LP Inn. What could be better that strolling through the kitchen gardens after breakfast and meeting part of the kitchen crew harvesting things and having them tell you how they will appear on your dinner plate that evening (if you are lucky enough to have reservations). We booked our breakfast and dinner spots beforehand and were delighted to have them.
Be the first to ReplyWe love Los Poblanos
We first came in 2021 and love it so much we are back again. It is such a wonderful retreat to get R&R but yet so much to do.- pool, biking (free bikes to take off and recommend a trail ride by Rio Grande) animals, farm tastings, yoga, lawn games, Volunteering on the farm for lavender harvest, Smores and fire pits at night and more! Walking the grounds and Greely garden - beautiful! It is also a short trip to Santa Fe. The staff goes over the top to ensure a great experience. Marissa, Madison, August just to name a few but really everyone is amazing! El Campo is great and the bread at the farm store is beyond- every variety delish with the cheese and salami offerings! Their lavender products are amazing too! We will be back again! My 10 yo daughter is in love with this place and can’t wait to come back! A much welcome break from city life!
Be the first to ReplyVery relaxing stay
Stayed here while visiting the Breaking Bad locations in Albuquerque. We were looking for a nice quite location to spend the 4th of July and this hotel did not disappoint. The hotel is located a few minutes outside of Albuquerque on a beautiful lavender farm. It has all the amities you could want including a spa, shop, restaurant a very nice saltwater pool. There are very well kept gardens for walks or bike rides on the complimentary bikes. We used the pool a few times; it was a good size but did get busy in the afternoon. If you went in the morning or around 6pm before dinner it was empty. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two bed house / suit. It was very modern, clean and spacious. The bathroom was especially large with a huge shower and bath. The shower had amazing water pressure and lovely complimentary lavender shower products. There was also a patio with loungers overlooking the gardens. A roaming peacock even came to visit our patio a few times. The living area had a small kitchenette with an induction stove. It also had a huge fridge, dishwasher which seemed oversized. They only give you four dishes and cups and no sharp knives which was a bit annoying. I personally would have liked a microwave oven and a toaster instead of the dishwasher. It seemed a waste when they only gave you four of everything so you may as well wash the dished in the sink. You couldn’t really make much more than pasta in the kitchen. This isn’t something I’d take points off for, just something to note that they could possibly improve. All in all we had a great stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway this is the place to go!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Grounds
While the grounds are beautiful, this place seems to attract people with noisy children. The restaurant staff is trying their best, but they need training by a good manager. The restaurant service was not good. Food at night was okay, the braised lamb excellent! The simple salad was too simple and way over-salted. Breakfast was disappointing -- deep-fried potatoes too much fry and the hot sauce for the eggs was not hot. We are not likely to go there again.

I spent 3 nights at Los Poblanos with an old dear friend. The accommodations were magical. The room was large, comfortable and filled with all the amenities I needed and more. The grounds were beautiful filled with fragrant lavender plants and beautiful plants. Birds (including resident peacocks) were plentiful. I had an incredible massage with Desiree and took advantage of yoga taught by Pam each day, again excellent. The staff went beyond expectations with their help. Thanks Brent for taking your time and helping us with our check out questions, with humor and friendliness. I left feeling totally rejuvenated. Can’t wait to return!
Be the first to ReplyDid not disappoint
After reading the rave reviews on TripAdvisor, I came here with very high expectations and they were met. Our room, as well as the grounds of the Farm were beautiful. The yoga classes were great and the food in the restaurant were by far the best meals we had on the trip. I was delighted that they had daily housekeeping service, which is quite a rarity these days. We had one of the farmhouse rooms. It was spacious, had it's own private patio, the bed was so comfortable. The pool area was incredible, unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool when we visited.
Be the first to ReplyReturn to LP
It’s been a few years (5?) since our last visit to this wonderful place, and change has happened. Rose Greeley’s garden, previously less than kempt, is gloriously rosey with old garden varieties blooming their heads off. Peonies and iris, too. We had a happy brunch out in the sunshine at Campo, their new-to-us resto, with splendid server Sarah, and the best eggs and homegrown vegetables ever. This was our first time in a Farm Room—simply and comfortably furnished with good organic linens (Coyuchi), a wet bar, a fireplace for colder months, and a pleasant utilitarian spareness. Much has remained the same—the impressive lawns and landscaping, with the Lady Banks roses in abundant spill. Animal life abounds, too, the peachickens and irritable geese and the marmalade cat. And the staff are still tops, especially affable Ethan, a pleasant conversationalist and porter and gifted bouquet-provider. We’ll return to LP again and again for its manifold delights. Though New Mexicans through and through, we’ve done a fair bit of knocking about the world and know that LP is unique in the truest sense of the word. But this long long review would be incomplete without a caveat or two. For us, the heart of LP has been the historic ‘30’s Simms residence, a stunning domestic achievement by John Gaw Meem in every detail. This was converted with taste and respect to become the original inn. It seems that these days a spa is obligatory for establishments in the rather lofty realm of LP. Understood, and no objections. But now that gracious original inn has become a spa with blanked-out windows, its elegant, evocative public spaces essentially denied to non-spa guests. Doubtless a sound financial decision. But LP is the lesser for it. Another curmudgeonly comment: while as noted the Farm and Field Rooms remain comfortable options, they—unlike the older Meem Rooms—are in a setting lacking charm or sympathetic character. In 2011 the Polyzoides architectural firm designed these additions—ingeniously it must be said—to evoke farm structures of the Depression era when this acreage was indeed a functional farm and dairy. Well, a clever and not unsuitable idea in theory. But there’s a sterile utilitarian sameness about the structures. Planting helps a bit to soften the brutalist poured concrete. Still, the architectural concept succeeds all too well. These could almost be farm workers’ dorms of a century ago. Sorry for the lengthy essay this has become. Just an academic pedant here. LP is still LP, and we hope for many happy returns.
