I finally had a chance to try this spot with a friend after having walking past it for years. We ended up getting some really cute cocktails, grilled artichokes, pork belly and seared scallops, cavatelli, and creme brรปlรฉe. The pork belly was a bit salty, but otherwise the food overall was really good. My favorites were the cavatelli and creme brรปlรฉe. The drinks also tasted as good as they look, which was nice.It did take a while for us to receive our entrees but the staff was very apologetic and were kind enough to adjust our bill accordingly. Ultimately it was a m good experience in a really beautiful space!

I really wanted to like this place and had high hopes but it ended up being a bummer. We went for my birthday while visiting nyc. We are from Chicago so we were really excited to be in another city with more great restaurants! The service was good, attentive and friendly. The hostesses weren't that friendly but that didn't bother us. Unfortunately the food completely missed. French onion soup was quite salty but it was fine. The baked camembert was good, very simple camembert with honey. For our mains we shared the mussels and the steak Au Poivre. The mussels were so fishy and not fresh at all - and the sauce was just a salty broth, not good at all (our server did offer a 50% off for the mussels since I let them know how fishy they were). The steak was horrible, supposed to be a New York strip but it was definitely more of a skirt steak - so tough and tasted like charcoal, the sauce was so awful too. The fries were fine (may have been the best thing we had). The creme brรปlรฉe was great! The ambiance is great - we really wanted to like this place because the vibe and drinks are great. Unfortunately we will not be back, we love good food and this was just a huge disappointment.
Be the first to ReplyStopped by for a quick cocktail in this cute bistro.
The bartender was great and served us promptly and was helpful in guiding our selections. Drinks were strong, tasty and unique. My friend's drink was served in a mini bathtub with a rubber ducky! Suggest going on a less busy day of the week because it was pretty loud on a Friday night.
Be the first to ReplyLou lou gave me French country side vibes.
They have beautiful flower decorations on the outside and inside of the restaurant. The hostess was very accommodating to our bridal party of 9. They even gave the bride a complimentary glass of champagne. I ordered the croissant French toast which was delicious. There fries were also amazing. They were crispy and salted perfectly. Everyone else ordered steak and eggs. The steak had great flavor. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the fact that the music wasn't so loud so you could still hear everyone talk.

2I can appreciate an expensive brunch & I love love love the decorations outside - however I think this place is overrated. The bird drinks are $22 & the quantity looks soo small. Why would I want to get that? The mussels were chill and the tuna tartare was good. But it wasn't the best I've had for the $50 price tag I was paying.I have no plans on coming back here.

Food and drinks for brunch are amazing! French toast, omelette, burger - all great. Service was great, seating was just slow Wouldn't be able to really offer thoughts on ambience as my visit was with seating outside on a late spring Sunday

What a lovely little afternoon dining bistro! The upper interior was reminiscent of rustic old world living. It was too early to check out the subterranean Speakeasy this time though. Thoroughly enjoyed the creamy baked Camembert with warm and crusty, sliced baguette! My Frisรฉe salad was fresh and loaded with plenty of crispy pancetta; so much so, that I needn't have asked for the added grilled (and flavorful) salmon! Our knowledgeable server, Sleyter S recommended the Yellowfin tuna sandwich with (yes!) apple. My companion raved! Our French wines were excellent too.Finished with an Americano (sorry, no decaf options) and the delightful Apple Tart.Prices was reasonable too. Lastly, we each used one of the 3 different, single-stall restrooms - one cooler and bawdier than the next! Fun times!
Be the first to ReplyI really do love Loulou.
Their bartenders are fantastic. The drinks are amazing. The ambiance is cozy yet chic. The food is incredible. The hostess was awful! I brought a friend that has never been here before and since I've been raving about it she couldn't wait to try it out. After the hostess was incredibly rude my friend wanted to cancel our reservations and try something else. Was very disappointed since I was looking forward to bringing her to Loulou.

Good food at a good quality to price ratio. The crowd can get a little loud.

The place looked has a nice entrance and decoration so we gave this one a try. We were a group of 8 and they sat us outside in one the wooden cabins which felt like a nice private room with it's own heater. Just wished they had some music to make it perfect. Although we were outside, the service was still attentive. Food was good. The pork belly eggs Benedict were delicious. The burger is pretty thick and it came medium, just as I asked. The only downside was the price of the beers. Although the food was within the "two dollar sign" range, the beer was expensive at $12 per bottle for domestics. That's more than what the six pack costs at the liquor store.

Quite possibly the most DISGUSTING birthday experience I've had, what a complete let down from a restaurant I had such high hopes for.Food was great and waitress was kind and attentive, but that's where the good ends.My partner had made reservations weeks in advance for dinner and we arrived and were seated in the heated outdoor hut, cramped but we made it work. Before we even received our drinks my partner had felt something on her foot and upon looking down a mouse ran right across her foot. I immediately notified the hostess' in the front of the house of the situation and requested we be moved inside immediately, only to be told there was nothing available and offered us a seat at the bar on top of telling us that's not their fault. Additionally, both hostess' were laughing/joking about us with each other. We rejected and said we were leaving, only to be chased out and told we didn't pay our bill DESPITE not even receiving anything. We asked to speak to a manager and only then did they find us a table inside. Manager never came to speak with us.Won't be back, can't believe any decent establishment would treat their customers like this. Nobody even offered as much as an apology for what we experienced.

Came here with my best friend for brunch we had made a reservation on Yelp about three days before. The moment we came in we got seated right away and all the employees that spoke to us were respectful, kind, and attentive. My meal was like a tomato basil with a grilled cheese on the side but just like a fancier version and it was really good. I was concerned it would be too salty but it was perfect. Although the meal wasn't big I felt satisfied and full right after. Oh and trust me one drink is enough if you just wanna feel a buzz. Definitely want to come back. My best friend Agreed we would be back on a day we didn't drive to really "turn up."
Be the first to ReplySuper cute super cute super freakin cute.
ย Stopped by for some tea/ chai and good vibes. ย Servers were very attentive and chai latte was amazing. ย The flower filled outdoor seating cabins and aesthetics of this place are on point for any date night, girls/guys night or just stopping in for photo ops. ย Did I mention this place is also a speakeasy, that's right make your way to that coco-cola door and just pull. ย I didn't stop here to eat, I ate down the block before I saw this place but I'll def be back. ย I live that they offered oat milk for the Chai, as almond milk has been in my rear view for a while. I'll def be back to check out their speakeasy and some food next time
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite restaurants I've ever been to.
They have indoor seating but the outdoor setup is super nice. Every time I go here I try the French Onion Soup. It is so flavorful and tasty. Especially good for the cold weather. You must try the Apple Tart as well! Server was super friendly and I got my food very quickly. Can't wait to go back again.

Love the decor. Food was fabulous. Highly recommend. Would definitely return. Brunch was delicious.
Be the first to ReplyOk if 6 stars was possible I'd give this place a six star.
We had no reservations and it was Friday night in NYC. Listen I've been to many a New York restaurant. However, this place is the SHIZZZZ!. No but really, alot of restaurants that are overhyped but this one is far fromThat. We were sat at the bar immediately by a nice hostess. So of course I had to order the most popular drink the world is yours. It such a beautiful, mystical looking drink. I did not want to finish. But it's alcohol so ehh I'll bite. It was a drink I would order multiple times. Now for my egg white lovers you will love the cest La vie. Classic drink so good and very generous amount of alcohol. My friend had the firebird drink and it tasted like a margarita but served in a beautiful bird shaped glass. So yes aesthetics! Our server Chris made the experience all the more better. Now moving on to the food. We started with the Brussels which was one of the best decisions I've made in the last year โ. My friend is one of the pickiest eaters and she approved of this. The mushroom flatbread with Burrata you have to to get . If not shame on you. The fingerling potatoes were pretty regular but the sauce at the bottom stepped it up to a 7/10. Moving on was the petit poulet roti. Honestly one of the best chickens I've had and trust me cause I've had many a chicken. Crisp skin and cooked to perfection. Now. We were full at this point but we couldn't leave without eating the lamb chops. The lamb chops were a 9/10. They were well seasoned and juicy and easy to cut. Now this restaurant had many people it was a Friday night, packed, our food still came on time, our server paid great attention to us. Water always refilled. And the ambience was to die for. If you're looking for a date night with the girls or date night with bae. Look no more it's Lou Lou's. No regrets and will be coming back.
Be the first to ReplyVery cute, Instagram worthy brunch spot in NYC.
Our large party came to celebrate a special occasion and made a reservation in advance. We were seated in the outdoor area (fully covered and heated) lined with gorgeous florals. The food is modern French, flavorful, well plated, not too salty. We enjoyed our waiter who came by to check in on us several times without being too overbearing.

Be the first to ReplyHorrible brunch.
They have no tea, no coffee and no hot chocolate on a freezing, busy Sunday. The mean waitress couldn't be bothered and the service was horrible. Wish I could leave but they finally took our food order and so we are stuck here.
Be the first to ReplyI came here with a few friends for my birthday.
The front entrance was decorated beautifully with an arrangement of flowers that could be seen from the street. Inside, has exposed wood beams and gives a classy speakeasy vibe. We were sat at a semi-round table near the bar. We started out with some drinks and they were all great, but they were a little strong. For our starters, we ordered a the steak tartare, braised short ribs, octopus, and a dozen oysters to share. For my main dish, I had ordered the smoked duck breast. I have to give LouLou's an A+ for presentation. This dish came out covered with a glass cloche and when opened, the smoke came billowing out revealing this amazing piece of duck breast. Honestly, I was kind of stuffed from all if the starters that I had to take some of the duck home at the end of the night because it was so good and I didn't want it to go to waste. The restaurant knew that it was my birthday because I told them when I made the reservation. They came out with a molten chocolate cake and a candle for me and sang happy birthday. It was a surprise and I wasn't expecting any special from them. Most places in NYC would charge for this but LouLou's gave it on the house. I would definitely recommend this place and I highly suggest making a reservation especially on the weekends.

Went here for brunch the drinks are good and strong we had the the world is yours and the Mexican stiletto so cute how they serve it my drink the world is your was leaking because the way the glass is the lid in on the bottom, so be carful if you order that cocktail because it will be a waist if you don't notice it quick I had it poured out on a regular cup after taking my picture. I think ย they are very expensive here the food was okay we had the eggs Benedict and egg white frittata.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a girls night out with my friends.
We made a reservation but when we showed up, we were disappointed that there wasn't a table reserved indoors for us so we had to sit outside and it was pretty cold that night. What the point in making a reservation when we could have just did a walk in and be seated outdoors. Even though their outdoor dining had heaters, it wasn't warm enough. We were offered blankets but that night was really cold. The food was pretty good. Our favorites were the flatbread, ribeye steak, tomato soup and French onion soup. The ratatouille was a bit of a let down to us. The drinks are pretty strong. We do want to come back for brunch and hopefully we can get seated inside instead.Food: 4/5Service: 5/5
