So good but…….
I wish I could give 5 stars. Service was good, food was great, toddler running around a six table space annoying and loud profanity riddled gangsta rap loudly played totally intolerable. Wont be back

Hidden “Speakeasy” within BlueGold restaurant. Six tables and four (uncomfortable) bar stools with a fantastic ocean view. We had an amazing “jade pendant” cocktail expertly made by Ashley. We started with the shrimp fresh spring rolls and the grilled lemongrass pork and beef skewers and for an entree we split the fried sea bass. Absolutely some of the best Vietnamese food we have ever had. The sauces were full of flavor and depth. The ingredients fresh and bright. It was a fantastic experience we hope to repeat. And yes there is a 90s rap playlist playing in the background which fits perfectly with their vibe!

Me and Wifey Mikki recently walked in without a reservation, and they were still able to accommodate us. You are treated like Royalty here. We appreciate the efforts of the entire staff. The hospitality keeps us loyal to both restaurants LSXO and Bluegold. Special thanks to Chef Cameron and Jorge. Their Lobster Paella is the best! I want to personally thank the ENTIRE Staff of LXSO! Special thanks to Manager Michael, Waitress Jordan and Elyse, Bartender Anthony, and hostess Tristen. They all worked very hard to make sure we had another amazing dining experience at their ultra-exclusive speakeasy restaurant. What a beautiful and intrinsic establishment. Very romantic views with great music and ambience! Our waitresses gave us exemplary service throughout our meal. Our bartender made my Wife a specially crafted libation that had an edible butterfly. It is now her favorite drink!! I see future visits to both LSXO and Bluegold soon.. Bon Appetit~!!
Be the first to ReplyUltra Hip Pan Asian Speak Easy. Incredible Food
LXSO is a 28 seat restaurant located within the Bluegold in Pacific City. The food is SE Asian Fusion, sister restaurant to Little Sister in Manhattan Beach. The Flavors will blow your away. Service amazing, decor stunning. Very private.
Be the first to ReplyLXSO....restaurant within a restaurant
This little restaurant is kind of hidden within a larger restaurant. I imagine that a decent percentage of the people dining in the main restaurant, Blue Gold, don't have any idea this little 8 table speak-easy type of place is even there. Excellent craft cocktails made at the cool little bar. Killer views. Food is made to order, sooo fresh and tasty. Sticky rice is insane!!! Make reservations weeks in advance if your actually want to get a table.

Four of us went to dinner on a Monday night. The "speakeasy" type of entrance was kind of cool. The interior reminded me of a project on "This Old House" when they have removed the sheetrock from the interior walls to get started.
We tried a variety of dishes. The best, to me, was the banh xeo. Nicely crispy with tasty fillings! Wanted to love the lamb satay, but the lamb taste was too strong against the peanut flavor.
Also tried the spring rolls with vermicelli and the sea bass. Both were decent. Had a couple of other plates that were OK.
The service was not memorable one way or another, so I guess that's a good thing.
The view of the ocean was nice (for half of the table!) The music was a little too noticeable (both volume and content) for a place with the aspirations of LSXO.
This was BY FAR the most expensive Vietnamese restaurant I've ever eaten in. The banh xeo, for instance, was $19. Ouch! The other plates were equally high in price as were the wines and the cocktails.
It was nice to try one time, but I can find more enjoyable meals for fewer $$ in HB.
Friday night out!
Haven’t been over to LSXO for awhile and wanted a nice little spot to catch to sunset while enjoying some nice cocktails and good food. That we did, the food is still constant from the last time we made it over although the dish I had the prawns were lightly breaded in something that gave them a cardboard past consistency/texture. My other knock’s would be the service was hit and miss and the music they play was a bit load and rap just didn’t seem like the right music for this venue. Other than that we had a good time.
The pork, shrimp and crab dumplings were damn good
Phenomenal Staff, Delicious Food, Unique setting
We enjoyed a phenomenal dinner at LSXO last night. Excellent ingredients prepared perfectly. Shelby & the other servers ran an incredible service and were friendly & knowledgeable about the menu, and gave us great recommendations.
If you want a great meal on your vacation, book here. Enjoy!
Very good place.
Loved this place for a dinner date.
Great menu .
Awesome staff and service.
Amazing views from every table .
Watch as the chefs prepare your dish.
Great place to just enjoy the ocean views
As you dine on fabulous food.
I love this place even when holiday weekend I was able to find a table .
Thank you LSXO
Incredibly Unique
This small , intimate restaurant located in Pacific City, Huntington Beach, Ca May be the best eating experience you have ever had. This is Vietnamese food prepared from recipes of the chef’s grandmother—with a modern adaptation. The small, living room like venue adds to this incredible experience as the ocean view creates another serene part of the time there. Don’t go without a reservation

Read 5 star review in OC magazine, so booked table for 2. For appetizer, ordered pork rinds with chili seasoning and pork and chicken skewers. Pork rinds tasted like out of a bag, sprinkled with Tajin. 8 dollars of underwhelming. 3 skewers arrived with a mountain of mint and lettuce leaves buried underneath...waiter told us we could take the meat off and roll in lettuce leaves. Shaky Beef was tender, cold and red raw in center. Curry noodles with shrimp, scallops crab? Micro mini shrimps, 2-3 scallops size of marbles..seemed like it has been prepared 5 hours earlier and possibly microwaved. Total RIP off. Go up Brookhurst st. To Little Saigon and eat a real Vietnamese meal for 1/4 of this tab which was $122.oo. I would pay double the price for a good meal. This was terrible.

LSXO’s intimate environment is warm and welcoming. Food is served family style and very approachable ( it’s Vietnamese style food). We ordered the shakey shakey beef (super tender and delicious), the egg rolls (it had a different name but probably my favorite thing we ordered), sticky rice, the omelette ( so different from what you would expect but again, delicious), friend rice, and the whole lobster ( it was HUGE and super impressive). Overall the drinks and food were delicious and the view was amazing. Definitely recommend!
