Be the first to ReplyLovely Asian inspired lunch in the heart of London! Efficient Excellent service
A lovely lunch and excellent service. The dishes we tasted were delicious and the service efficient and helped us choose the right ones. Thank you Luca for making it our lunch a special experience!

Be the first to ReplyWhat a great time
Had a great time here visiting with friends, everything was amazing! From reception to the bar sommelier and our waitress Nora was phenomenal. Food sensational, ambience incredible!!! Thank you for everything lucky cat!!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible, totally disappointing
Traumatic experience to say the least for our party of 4 having dinner here two days ago. Dried, bland food, cheap menu offering - everything was half-borrowed from some cheap Chinese-Japanese menu, much worse than Yo-sushi. It was a complete assault on Chinese and Japanese cuisines. The music was so loud it was impossible for any conversation to be had, which ruined everything else left for the dinner. It was embarrassing. Staff were running around although not sure why our dishes were crazily late. Surely Gordon R with all his preaching on TV abt how ppl should run a restaurant must know how bad it is here!
Be the first to ReplyExtraordinary Lucky
We had dinner at the chefs table which is a restaurant within the Lucky Catโฆ a restaurant with in a restaurantโฆit seats 10 and there is only one seating a night. It has its own Chef and staff separate from the Lucky Cat. The chef we had was this young charismatic Chefโฆ I donโt know where Gordon Ramsay found Chef Elliot โฆ but he has struck gold with this young chef. He is a 5 star chef in every way you can rate a dinner or a chef. If your in London and can book the Chefs Table in the Lucky Cat and get Chef Elliotโฆ you are truly a lucky cat!!!! And you are in for a wonderful night full of flavors you can not imagine and Art on a plate your just blessed to taste. Chef Elliot is a blessing to all us foodies on this planet.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive, small portions and chaotic service - would not return
First, there were plenty of staff but none were particularly friendly, and kept taking plates away before we were finished and didnโt ask if we were done. We ate from the set lunch menu, price was ok but rather small portions. Would recommend prawn tempura and sushi but not monkfish tempura as it was tasteless. Best but was the desert, surprisingly, chocolate tofu was actually quite nice.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience
Marika was an amazing server, attended to all our needs and explained every dish as soon as it arrived at the table. She was very attentive and friendly which made the experience even better as it was me and my friends first time to the restaurant. Would recommend to go, especially if you have Marika as your server.
Be the first to ReplyFood just did not meet the expectation
Atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was great but the food did just not meet the expectation. Our waiter was very pleasant however somewhat pushy and trying to get us to over order. We had a wide range of dishes from the menu for our table of six, most of which were only ok and somewhat tasteless. The crispy duck which cost over ยฃ30 for a very small portion was only just edible, over cooked, chewy and crunchy rather than crispy, you would get better from your local Chinese takeaway. Would I return, unlikely, especially with the prices charged for the portions.
Be the first to ReplyOh my goodness
We were lucky to be treated by friends to the chef's table last night at Lucky Cat. What a revelation. Warm welcome, friendly staff, delicious food and wine. Decor is dark and sultry. Food is outrageously tasty. Special shout out to our waiter/host James, who looked after us marvellously and described each of the 10 courses clearly. We will definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Birthday Experience
This was my first time dining at one of Gordon Ramsays restaurants. It was perfect, the food was delicious, the staff were kind, gentle, thoughtful and kind. Especially our waiter Benito Oleandr. He was the perfect gentleman. Gordon, if you're reading this.. give him a promotion. He deserves it. He's amazing. The staff invited me up to meet the chefs, they sang happy birthday to me and gave me a lovely chocolate brownie. Definitely going back! Wonderful people, fantastic service.
Be the first to ReplyAn amazing dining experience
We ate at the Chef's Table, 10 course tasting menu with a view of the kitchen. The dishes were superb, varied and beautifully presented and the quality was outstanding. The menu changes but we enjoyed beef tataki, hamachi, fabulous scallops and signature JFC amongst others. Your dishes are presented by one of the chefs who explain what you are eating. The interaction with the team make this a unique experience. It is always really difficult to know what to drink with this type of meal. Well there's a simple answer. Put your trust in the sommelier. We gave him a budget and after a chat about likes and not likes left it to him. It was perfect, we had some chilled sake, rose, couple of whites and a red. Pre dinner drinks in the bar are in a very comfortable place and the service throughout is faultless. So why not 5 stars ? It may be an age thing but the music style and level was frankly horrendous and it was even worse in the main restaurant area. I do not want to have to shout to talk to my fellow diners. To be able to hear the chefs explain the dishes was a struggle. What about value. If you want to have a couple of drinks and with 15% service charge you will be lucky to get change from ยฃ500 for two. I suppose it all depends on how much you like your dining out experience . Glad we've done it but doubt we shall repeat
Be the first to ReplyShocker
Oh no, we have eaten serval time at LC previously and always enjoyed ourselves, food, service etcโฆ Tonight was a shocker though. Our first table we were sat at we genuinely could not hear ourselves speak / talk to one another or the waitress due to the loudness of the music ( we love a good party I hasten to add but at 8 pm in the evening for dinnerโฆ..) We asked to be moved and we were quickly shown another table. New table was good until c. 30 minutes in whereby the music loudness grew and we had to start to genuinely shout for the waiter to hear us and for my family to hear one another. Pork and ginger gyoza were the wrong side of pungent and not itโs usual delicacy. The California roll was like a roll from Waitrose take out - sushi rice was hard and if anything stale. As a summary it felt less than half baked. The waiter was good but unfortunately that couldnโt shroud the disappointment that we felt in every other part. Oh and just to add to odd, my 9 year old daughter used the mixed toilets (which is fine), but on her way out a gent had omitted to shut the door on the urinal toilet and so she had a full view of a random naked guy peeing. Aweosme! Not! Sorry GR and LC but tonight, Lucky was not even close, massive fail tbh and I am usually half full so this review is a generous one.
Be the first to ReplyLucky Cat is Lucky to have such a great team!
I initially came to Lucky Cat to have a drink with my best friend, we had the pleasure of Danayt greeting us with such a warm welcome! Danayt was very sweet, and extremely informative about the drinks and the food, and because of her... We decided to have something to eat. I asked Danayt what her favourite dish is from the menu and she replied with a big smile "JFC chicken" Well, I am so pleased I listened to her fantastic recommendation... I have just one word to describe the JFC chicken... DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! We also loved the Prawn & Shiso tempura and the prawn toast. A big thank you to Alberto, he helped my friend choose a red wine and she loved it! And finally thank you to lovely Nihal and Juvel! I can't wait to visit this wonderful restaurant again, to experience the outstanding customer service and superb food!!!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed
Went to celebrate 50th with a couple of friends. Food was delicious but music was so loud we could barely hear ourselves talk. service left a lot to be desired unfortunately. we knew we had limited time at table but food (small plates) were all delivered at the same time so some food went cold before we got round to eating it. instead of a kind or gentle reminder that we were coming to the end of our seating time, waiter just started to clear our food away. We were asked to move to a table at the bar to finish our drinks and when we asked if we had actually finished our 2nd bottle of wine, they didnโt even come back to us with an answer. We were sure we had not finished that bottle. We left it. Just felt like all the they wanted to do was get us in and out as quickly as possible so they can make more money but fitting others in. small acknowledgment of birthday with a plate that said happy birthday with 2 after dinner mints - there were 3 of us! Not at all the kind of service you would have expected of a Gordon Ramsay restaurant- esp not after hearing and seeing him critic others! Disappointed Would not go again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Service at the Chiefโs Table in Lucky Cat in Mayfair
Had a fantastic time at the chiefโs table with my boyfriend from start to finish, and our amazing server, Pavlov and sommelier, made our night even more special! The food and drinks were amazing, and all in which we give a 10/10. Definitely will come back again. Importantly, I want to give a massive shout out to all of the amazing chiefs and staff but mostly, to our amazing server Pavlos and sommelier again, as his service was beyond fantastic, and gave us a night to remember!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and brilliant service
A brilliant late lunch.. with only 1 dud dish out of 11. Everything was delicious, particularly the JVC chicken, the wagyu and truffle and the cheesecake. Cocktails were top notch. Only the squid dish fell flat.. under cooked with a really unpleasant taste of raw batter. Everything else was amazing. As was James - our waiter who made everything painless and smooth, he was charming, funny and massively helpful. Particularly sorting out the cost of the super cute gold cat chopstick holders.. which the menu stated - diplomatically- that if you adopted one (stole one) you would be charged ยฃ15 per Chopstick holder. We bought one and it came in a little box but weโre charged ยฃ30 for it. Kind of encourages you to nick one and be charged because they would be half price. James sorted it out and we were given the thief friendly price of ยฃ15. We will return as it was simply brilliant. I can forgive a kitchen that good .. for one dud.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food great service :)
Visited lucky cat the end of June for a date, we loved the food, the attention to detail and the service. The waiter James was fantastic, he was charismatic and had such positive energy. Great experience.
Be the first to ReplyAwful meal, food below average, way too expensive and a totally overrated venue!
We booked Lucky Cat for our wedding anniversary and were so looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was a complete disaster. We placed our order, choosing a number of dishes that come out when they are ready. This meant we had a bowl of egg fried rice on the table for a while, it wasn't even hot, warm at best so of course it was stone cold in minutes as the next dish came out - at ยฃ19 for a bowl of cold rice it was an issue. Next came the Bao buns that the waiter dropped across the table and floor so they had to go back, the duck that came with it needed shredding - unfortunately that wasn't done properly and I had to do the other half he didn't do, when you go to a restaurant and pay top money I expect this to be done properly, not half a job. The buns eventually arrived and soon followed by Gyoza that were sitting in a puddle of oil and again, warm at best and not the nicest we have ever had. We complained that these were cold and they were taken back and brought out later in the meal this time a bit more heat to them but still soggy from sitting in the oil which was not pleasant. Black Cod followed and at this point it as the only item on the table, excluding the cold rice that was not edible by now. The final plates were a steak that most certainly did not melt in the mouth, very fatty and and some tender stem broccoli that was covered in a very unpleasant sauce, 6 small stems for ยฃ14. Our chopsticks had all been removed, why? oh, you eat with your fingers at this point. Overall this was a terrible meal, it was ยฃ300 for the 2 of us and the food wasn't even that nice! how on earth Gordon can go and eat here baffles me, does he have a special menu only for him as this menu, service and the quality of food was so poor - I really struggle to see how these reviews are so good. I like Wagamamas and Lucky Cat is nowhere near as good, Wagamamas wins hands down every time. I have no problem paying top money for a great meal no matter what the cost but this experience is nowhere near what is charged, million miles away from that. I would never go back and would recommend anyone thinking of going - don't do it. A real shame - hugely disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic!
We visited Lucky Cat for our Wedding Anniversary and had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent from start to finish, as James looked after us so well. Thank you James! Lovely atmosphere and definitely one to visit again. Canโt fault it.
Be the first to Reply16th birthday treat
Fab night out at Lucky Cat.
Andrea, Elisa and Eric looked after us really well - service, food and drinks were spot on! Worth the price.
Birthday Treat
Service throughout the meal was very good, the recommendations from James our waiter were spot on.
Food was Very good we will be back soon.
A Wonderful Experience
This was our first visit to Lucky Cat and the experience was fantastic.
The ambiance was perfect and the experience of the staff was first class with the staff explaining the dishes and always very observant to when a dish had been finished.
I would highly recommend the restaurant for lunch as we did on a Sunday and we selected a number of fantastic tasting dishes, although I think we selected more than really needed. The quality of the food and presentation was unbelievable and the food looked like works of art at times.

What a lovely night it was. Superb food and sweet, warm welcome by our waitress, Ece , who was charming and suggested choices brilliantly.. She could have stopped us from ordering more earlier tho )))))
Be the first to ReplyJames is amazing.
On arrival, we battled out way through a huge group of coked-up, rowdy banker types - backslapping each other on another day of clevery shafting their mindless customers. "Please God, don't sit me beside these savages" I thought, quietly.
Fortunately, we were escorted far from the madding crowd. My own personal dread in a restaurant though - sitting to close to other people - quickly became realised. As we were seated, I looked round in a panic to see if there were any other seats with a more forgiving arrangement. No joy. All boxed in.
There was no need to panic though, fortunately. The couple sitting next to us didn't have much to say to each other. The man sitting across from his date spent most of his time with his phone attached to his head, but strangely, not speaking. Perhaps he was listening to a voicemail over and over again, from a previous lover. This left our poor maiden to fumble aimlessly through instagram for most of the night. Relief.
Food was nice enough. Beef and Padron skewers were overcooked - the thin flavour disappeared quickly and you were left chewing some rather belligerent beef. Gordon wouldn't have let that out, I tell you.
There were a couple of other things that failed us. It's best to mention it, because I know Gordon follows me religiously across all the food blogs.
Others have mentioned it as well - the music. Too damn loud. And the tables are far too long. Fortunately, as a good boy scout, I'm always prepared. I brought my flags with me and used my well-respected skills with flag semaphore to communicate to my wife for the remainder of the night. You can have tables that are too long, or you can have music that is too loud - but not both. Please fix Mr. Ramsay.
The night was slightly saved by the lovely Mr. James - our host for the night. Full of good humour and advice. No doubt he'll be running the joint in a couple of years.
Fix those things mentioned above though James, yes?
The Dr.
Food was rather good. Enjoyed one of James' recommendations - the sesame prawn sando.
