Finally made a res for a table and had a great light dinner
Finally made a res for a table and had a great light dinner here! My boyfriend and I tried: + Peacock Throne cocktail + The shining path cocktail - both cocktails were amazing as always + Bunch of west coast and PEI oysters - incredible, they know what they're doing here in the oyster department + Lobster roll - awesome, and a really good deal at $36 + Gem and chicories - good, but overdressed, wouldn't get again Overall I'd say this remains a top-notch spot for cocktails and oysters. Hard to make a full dinner of it, but great if you want light bites or oysters! Also a bonus that you can make a table reservation and just drink (they don't make you order food).
Be the first to ReplyI was beyond charmed by my experience here.
The restaurant is quaint and inviting. I really loved the bar being featured in the middle. Beyond the ambiance, the service really stood out. We received a 5 star dining experience which really left me awe. The food was beyond fresh and everything tasted wonderful. Stand out dishes were the La Maison tower, Lobster roll and I personally loved the semi sweet/salty whipped cheesecake dessert. I cannot wait to go back. I almost forgot to praise our server Mary Grace who was extremely patient, knowledgeable and a joy to have. Again thank you

We walked in to a bar reminiscent of the 1920s that makes you feel like you're in a different era. We were welcomed by Eddie at the bar, who was charismatic and knowledgeable. We loved the cod dish and clam toast. Eddie was so talented and creative that he made a special drink for one of us that epitomized what she told him she liked. To top off the evening he offered us a toast to celebrate my daughter's engagement, gratis. This will definitely be a place that we return to in the future and ask we will definitely ask for Eddie!

A must do! Superb service at Maison Premiere and a fantastic menu. I enjoyed the oysters, lobster and martinis. We sat in the corner and it was quite comfortable and private for our group of 3. I recommend and will definitely be back. 5 star!

This was hands down the BEST OYSTERS I have tasted in such a long time, especially to find them in Brooklyn. We came around 1030, and it was still very crowded for a Saturday with no reservation, so we got very lucky because people were getting turned away. The kitchen was closed, but we didn't care. we really came for the oysters, and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT AT ALL. Even the shrimp cocktail was fresh and sweet (4 pcs 3.75). We ordered a dozen and about 4 different choices, but these were FRESH BABY!!!!! I ordered the draft BIPA "BANG," & this was good if love, well crafted beer from Brooklyn. Then I ordered the Maison Pina Colada, and this was soooooo freaking good HANDS DOWN! The Cinnamon and the fresh mint with shaved lemon on top. This was definitely the showstopper. Also, if you are into Absinthe, this place is for you. The place is vintage shaped as a horseshoe, and this was very sexy and cute, but it gets tight when crowded. I will be back cause the oysters are really that good.

My Aunt wanted to take us to her favorite local place and this was it! We had SO much fun sitting at the bar having cocktails and small bites. The bartender was not only funny and friendly but extremely knowledgeable. Love the 20's vibe from ambiance to staff outfits (suspenders & fishnets). Needless to say they make an incredible classic cocktail (from French 75s to Tom Collins) but I would recommend adventuring through their specialty menu cocktails. I go for gin, so I had the Peacock Throne and it was divine (must love orgeat - common in Mai Tais). We also had the cod small plate which I quickly finished off - it was so creamy and delicious! Their bread comes with seaweed butter so if that's not your thing, ask for regular butter. Probably best to make a reservation if you want a table on a weekend night but the bar is such a great spot too. Would love to come back in the summer to experience their back garden patio area!
Be the first to ReplyVery cute and intimate oyster bar, perfect for date night.
However, definitely on the smaller side, making it feel slightly cramped. The menu isn't super huge, but the selection of fresh seafood is great with options for oysters both from the east and west coast. They also have a great list of mock tails upon request. The service was extremely attentive and friendly.
Be the first to ReplySuch a cute upscale date spot.
Do not come in the summer however there is no air conditioning. Every drink I've had is on the strong side but still good. This is not a dinner place it's all small plates so don't come expecting a dinner menu.

Be the first to ReplyGreat place for date night.
I really enjoyed the New Orleans themed decor. The drinks were delicious and unique. Our bartender was very informative, he had all the answers for each question we had. The only issue we had was that our food took a little long. Aside from that everything was delicious and we had a great time there.

This upscale bar is perfect for date night! I loved the vibes, and the cocktails tasted great. It's on the pricier side but worth stopping by for a drink. - @nyconthetable
Be the first to ReplySuch a cute and elevated bar in Williamsburg.
While things are on the more expensive side, every thing from the drinks to the oysters were quality. My group of three sat at the bar, and though there was a walkway directly next to us, we never had issues with eating space. I'll shoutout the service, because our bartender was seriously the best. He gave us great recommendations and was super attentive of us.If you're looking to try any cocktail, get an absinthe cocktail. Our bartender recommended the Inverness and it was such a good drink. It begins tart/fruity but then turns to a yummy cream taste. Oysters were super high quality and they have a pretty big selection of east and west coast oysters. Get the Chefs selection if you want to try a variety.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful bar, reminds me of a galley kitchen.
Nice oysters and big options for drinks
Be the first to ReplyI cannot say enough amazing things about this place.
This is my favorite spot. In all of New York to get a little cocktail. The oysters are also great. They have a large selection. The ambience is exquisite. The staff is amazing. You can't go wrong with going here for a cocktail or even dinner.

Stopped in for a few cocktails before dinner nearby in the early afternoon on a VERY chilly day, but still had a bit of wait. The bar was crowded, but still managed to snag two seats and have a lovely time. Note if you're on the side of the bar nearer to the restrooms, it's a tight squeeze, so be prepared to feel a bump here or there while folks shuffle through. Staff is lovely and very attentive. Enjoyed some absinthe cocktails and the beautiful presentations! Enjoy yourselves!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible cocktails and such a great atmosphere.
The lighting is dim, as if candlelight, and the walls are the color of old book pages, yellowed with time. The goal is to whisk you from Brooklyn to New Orleans, and they largely succeed (though I have not been to Louisiana in years). The cocktails, like I said, are really tremendous and the main draw for me. A reservation is helpful but, if you don't mind a wait, you can walk in most nights.

My son wanted a cool ambiance with seafood options and impeccable cocktails. This is an oyster bar and their cocktails are on point however if you are looking for full dinner options this might not work for you. Maison has an old world French New Orleans style. Of course we tried Oysters but I absolutely can not remember the specifics however we had a sweet selection and a salty selection. The service was impeccable, they boast a cocktail list longer than a peacocks tail and we experienced one of the best hospitable restaurants in NYC. From the moment we stepped into the bar they were affable, service was top notch and tastefully professional. We had reserved a table for 6 and just waited maybe 5-10 mins but most of my party was a bit late so it worked out great. We tried the she wolf sourdough with seaweed butter, braised beef cheek, lobster roll with chips, steak tartare and the steamed mussels with gumbo sofrito. For most of our palates the mussels were our absolutely favorite dish. It was seasoned to perfection and sat in soIt is a small quaint place that packs a punch. I had a glass of Prosecco and their traditional Maison pina colada that is made in a young coconut. Think of a Pina Colada then throw that out the window this one is way different. My other party guests tried the Penicillin, Absinthe Kubler and the Shirley temple. They were quite happy with their selections. It was for a birthday and we did bring a cake but we ordered the absinthe crème brûlée and it was astonishing. This is a place you to go to have an experience.

I used to come to this place all the time before the pandemic... This was one of the few establishments in the city that I was eagerly awaiting to reopen. The interior design itself is a work of art, this is one of the most beautiful bars in the entire city. I went with my fiancé and got a tray of 30 oysters with an absinthe cocktail and some champagne and it was all absolutely perfect! Our server, Reb, was stellar. This is an absolutely wonderful spot that I highly recommend for anybody in the New York City area.
Be the first to Replytwo words! Delicious & Amazing.
The oyster were super fresh and they had such a plentiful assortment. I loved it. I will definitely be back!

We made a reservation for 10:30 and arrived fifteen minutes early. Our table was not ready, which was obvs fine, but we were told the kitchen was closing and we needed to order before we were sat. Um, ok. Not to worry though, we were assured the oyster bar would be open for TWO more hours. Exactly ONE hour later, at 11:30, we were informed it was last call for oysters. Um, ok. We put in an oyster order and the server complained/freaked out to us repeatedly that there wasn't enough room on the table for the oysters. (I made room.)The drinks were just fine. Overall it's a lot of show that seems to cater to a certain type of (privileged) clientele, but the restaurant's flaws ultimately shined right through the facade. And for F's sake, don't make your bartenders wear that ridiculous get-up if your restaurant is going to be like 90 degrees inside. Ambience is cute and food is decent, but I prob would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who isn't a pretensious douchbag.

New York - the name of the restaurant on the door is not Maison Premiere, so you might walk past it. I think Oyster Bar is the name. This was my first time having caviar and I love it! So delicious. It was fresh and creamy. What an experience. I'm hooked now. The outdoor seating was nice. 10 out of 10, I recommend this restaurant. The staff were delightful and very helpful. It was a classy experience. I love when the wit staff is attentive. Best part of the experience. I like it when they appear to enjoy their Job.

Such a cute spot! This would definitely need to be a pre dinner sort of place. They have a bunch of raw bar items and a lot of drink options. Very cute for a little date. The garden in the back was adorable and the inside was decorated like an old timer bar and it was all so beautiful. Definitely a little pricey though.
Be the first to ReplyMy experience here was delightful.
The ambiance in this place was truly thought out. The decor brought out a warming comfort feeling. I came here for the oysters which were amazing!!There were about 4 different types oysters on myPlate, all ranging from East to west cost oysters. Besides the oysters tasting super fresh and somewhat filling, the food I had was just as good! I had the clam toast it was reallly tasty. Definitely recommend this place as the drinks were also just as on point as the food.
