Maison Premiere Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year
My friend and I came here the other night for dinner, after
My friend and I came here the other night for dinner, after wanting to check it out for a while. I was able to easily make a reservation and once we arrived, we were seated right away at the oyster bar towards the back. The ambiance was beautiful--dimly lit with jazz playing and candles all around. There is also a stunning backyard area, which looked lovely and would definitely want to check out next time. As for food and drinks, I ordered a cocktail made with fresh strawberries and tequila and it was delicious and my friend ordered a glass of rose. We ordered the bread and butter, the gem and chicories salad and six oysters to start. The appetizers were delicious, and my friend said the oysters were great (as I did not partake in eating them). For our entrees, we ordered the lobster roll which was a significant portion of lobster in a delicious bun with a generous side of house made potato chips. I would absolutely come back again and would recommend it if looking for a nice dinner or date spot.
This place was really cool.
We stopped in for a nightcap and the hostess let us know that seating was limited and we probably wouldn't be served before last call. We started to walk out but as we did, she followed after us and let us know a table just opened up! Perfect timing. The inside feels like you're in an oyster shack on the Louisiana bayou but the kind of oyster shack that also doubles as a speakeasy at night, if such a thing exists? The oyster shucking bar was super cool and outfitted with large ice baths. The drinks all seemed to be playing on a tiki theme or at least paying homage to the rum trade triangle. We had come from a day of eating and drinking and I couldn't possibly do a sugary type drink so I ordered a dirty martini. It was made perfectly. Others in my party ordered a piña colada which is served in a whole coconut with a shit ton of fresh garnish. We were all impressed. Would definitely return to check out more of the menu and actually eat some food the next time I'm in the area.
SO SO disappointed.
I've been coming here on and off within the past couple years- but service has definitely gone downhill. First of all- there is no AC (they said there was but it was definitely not on during the summer night we had dinner) which is wild to me as they serve raw seafood and meat! Waiters were dripping sweat as they were walking around serving food which I don't blame them- it's hot even sitting still in there. If you love raw bar marinated in sweat this place is for you. Made a reservation a week in advance and servers were extremely rude. It took a full HOUR to receive a drink I ordered as soon as we were seated. Asked 4 - yes FOUR different waiters to check on the drinks and was told the bar was backed up- then saw the table directly next to us (seated almost an hour after us) be served their drinks within 15 minutes of them being seated by 1 of the 4 waiters I asked (they received their drinks before we did by the way). Drinks came after dinner was served (which also took its sweet sweet time) and almost finished- absolutely unacceptable. Really ruined a perfectly good evening- don't know why people are still raving about this place- definitely not what it used to be.
Overall stellar experience of a cocktail bar.
We got a martini made table side and they explained everything and made a cool show with glass carafes. Amazing drinks and amazing ambiance, a must go in Williamsburg.

Every time I would walk past this restaurant, my eyes would be drawn inside. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities and the vibes reminded me of New Orleans. After shopping and spending time nearby, I decided to check and see how long their wait was. They were super busy, but I was able to get seated right away outside. One of the first items to come out was their bread and butter. They served some sort of infused butter. I've had other ones before, but this one was noticeably different in a good way. I was really impressed by the freshness of the oysters and the steak tartare. All of the cocktails we tried were wonderful! I hate sweet cocktails. The mai tai was perfectly balanced.
It was an awful experience.
The food and drinks were good, but the hostess was horrible. We made a reservation ahead of time and reserved seats at the Oyster bar. We arrived on time, but the hostess gave us two seats at the regular bar instead of the Oyster bar which we had reserved!!!!! She was not nice at all. We wanted to order the La Maison platter, a large tower of food, which was difficult to eat at the packed front bar where people were elbow to elbow. The Oyster bar has similar counter space but is not as cramped, providing more room to eat. It was awful that she made us sit at the bar where people mostly sit for drinks, despite our reservation. Additionally, during the two hours we were there, two seats in the couch area nearby the bar remained empty. She could have easily seated us there since no one was sitting there (see photo). It wasn't like the seats were reserved. We felt discriminated against, and this will be the first and last time we visited this restaurant. We do not recommend this place!
Came here to get a drink and it was super busy by the bar.
The bar area is nicely dim. The menu has a cool assortment of drinks and focuses on absinthe based drinks. We got two different absinthe drinks which were solid, but not sure we'd get again. Would try the oysters though next time!
This is such a classic Brooklyn, gem.
Two thumbs up to the steak tartare and lobster roll.
Came here for pre dinner drinks for birthday celebrations
Came here for pre dinner drinks for birthday celebrations and me and my boyfriend were started with a complimentary glass of Prosecco! Our reservations for dinner were pretty late so we spent a lot of time here and ordered a good variety of drink (at least I did). My favorite would be the Maison Margarita and the Maitai. But definitely go with the sherry cobbler or Casablanca if you favor something sweeter with no bite. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Adonis and ordered this drink twice. I did take a sip and would describe it as an old fashioned that isn't spirit forward. Really good drink. We also got the side of bread and butter which I throughly enjoyed, as well as half dozen oysters. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back again to try their other drinks.

What happened to this place? We came here a few times with great results. This time, getting a seat was ridiculous, considering there were few clients. We were seated away from the bar and couldn't order with the bartender. Had to wait for a server. The bourbon choices for an old fashioned were limited. A vodka martini were even worse, with no premium vodkas available. I'm so co fused it isn't even funny. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Finally made a res for a table and had a great light dinner
Finally made a res for a table and had a great light dinner here! My boyfriend and I tried: + Peacock Throne cocktail + The shining path cocktail - both cocktails were amazing as always + Bunch of west coast and PEI oysters - incredible, they know what they're doing here in the oyster department + Lobster roll - awesome, and a really good deal at $36 + Gem and chicories - good, but overdressed, wouldn't get again Overall I'd say this remains a top-notch spot for cocktails and oysters. Hard to make a full dinner of it, but great if you want light bites or oysters! Also a bonus that you can make a table reservation and just drink (they don't make you order food).
I was beyond charmed by my experience here.
The restaurant is quaint and inviting. I really loved the bar being featured in the middle. Beyond the ambiance, the service really stood out. We received a 5 star dining experience which really left me awe. The food was beyond fresh and everything tasted wonderful. Stand out dishes were the La Maison tower, Lobster roll and I personally loved the semi sweet/salty whipped cheesecake dessert. I cannot wait to go back. I almost forgot to praise our server Mary Grace who was extremely patient, knowledgeable and a joy to have. Again thank you
Best place in NYC
The food was fantastic and excellent, the place was welcoming and warm. The staff with us were helpful and attentive to our every need. We will be back for sure!!

We walked in to a bar reminiscent of the 1920s that makes you feel like you're in a different era. We were welcomed by Eddie at the bar, who was charismatic and knowledgeable. We loved the cod dish and clam toast. Eddie was so talented and creative that he made a special drink for one of us that epitomized what she told him she liked. To top off the evening he offered us a toast to celebrate my daughter's engagement, gratis. This will definitely be a place that we return to in the future and ask we will definitely ask for Eddie!

A must do! Superb service at Maison Premiere and a fantastic menu. I enjoyed the oysters, lobster and martinis. We sat in the corner and it was quite comfortable and private for our group of 3. I recommend and will definitely be back. 5 star!
This was hands down the BEST OYSTERS I have tasted in such
This was hands down the BEST OYSTERS I have tasted in such a long time, especially to find them in Brooklyn. We came around 1030, and it was still very crowded for a Saturday with no reservation, so we got very lucky because people were getting turned away. The kitchen was closed, but we didn't care. we really came for the oysters, and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT AT ALL. Even the shrimp cocktail was fresh and sweet (4 pcs 3.75). We ordered a dozen and about 4 different choices, but these were FRESH BABY!!!!! I ordered the draft BIPA "BANG," & this was good if love, well crafted beer from Brooklyn. Then I ordered the Maison Pina Colada, and this was soooooo freaking good HANDS DOWN! The Cinnamon and the fresh mint with shaved lemon on top. This was definitely the showstopper. Also, if you are into Absinthe, this place is for you. The place is vintage shaped as a horseshoe, and this was very sexy and cute, but it gets tight when crowded. I will be back cause the oysters are really that good.

My Aunt wanted to take us to her favorite local place and this was it! We had SO much fun sitting at the bar having cocktails and small bites. The bartender was not only funny and friendly but extremely knowledgeable. Love the 20's vibe from ambiance to staff outfits (suspenders & fishnets). Needless to say they make an incredible classic cocktail (from French 75s to Tom Collins) but I would recommend adventuring through their specialty menu cocktails. I go for gin, so I had the Peacock Throne and it was divine (must love orgeat - common in Mai Tais). We also had the cod small plate which I quickly finished off - it was so creamy and delicious! Their bread comes with seaweed butter so if that's not your thing, ask for regular butter. Probably best to make a reservation if you want a table on a weekend night but the bar is such a great spot too. Would love to come back in the summer to experience their back garden patio area!
Very cute and intimate oyster bar, perfect for date night.
However, definitely on the smaller side, making it feel slightly cramped. The menu isn't super huge, but the selection of fresh seafood is great with options for oysters both from the east and west coast. They also have a great list of mock tails upon request. The service was extremely attentive and friendly.
Such a cute upscale date spot.
Do not come in the summer however there is no air conditioning. Every drink I've had is on the strong side but still good. This is not a dinner place it's all small plates so don't come expecting a dinner menu.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
