Located in the UES next to a hotel, this place felt very intimate and cozy. We were seated outside in the back which we absolutely loved, especially since we were surrounded by what looked like small orange trees you can also just smell the flowers throughout the place. Staff was very attentive and provided outstanding service (didn't like the crab risotto and he changed it immediately to my liking which was the monkfish - wish I remembered his name). They have a prix fixe menu and we ordered the 2 course ($145) instead of the 3 as we weren't craving dessert. Food was interesting and asparagus soup was delicious given it was my first time. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the mood for some French food.
Tea at the Lowell is Not the Same
I’ve been going to tea at The Lowell for 25 years and have loved it. Tea at Majorelle is physically at the Lowell, but not the same experience at all. It is fine - but not the proper tea it once was. The tea was either not loose leaf or brewed and strained prior to being put in the pot. The scones were tough and the clotted cream was almost butter like in texture. Most of the bread used in the sandwiches was dry and stale. The hyped Lily of the Valley tableware is pretty, but does not offset the now mediocre food.

Where do I begin? The service is superb and top notch.
Ambience is Frenchy, transported to a delightful scenery. Huge bouquets of beautiful flowers surrounding this intimate setting. The caviar and bread are delish. Appetizers are perfect. The entrees were memorable, love every single presentation. Filet mignon and duck were simply exquisite. The best and memorable dish has to be the soufflé, to die for. I've never had anything quite like it. Literally dessert heaven. I wish I could order dessert all the time but it's part of the prefix. Will definitely be back soon.
Stunning hotel and great service.
We came here after inquiring over the phone about the vegan options for their afternoon tea. I was told that they do have a separate vegan menu. However, they served us a salad with leaves, avocado slices with olive oil, a few small dips, and sugary sorbet in 3 flavors with cut up fruit. I've been to the Baccarat hotel for their afternoon tea and they truly did have a separate menu with thoughtfully crafted vegan pastries and such, not just an impromptu lettuce salad and cut up fruit. We also paid the same amount as the regular menu, which was a tower with beautiful scones, finger sandwiches, and pastries. I get that most people don't come here for vegan food but if I'm calling ahead and you tell me that you have a separate vegan menu, I'm going to assume that the chef knows exactly what to do.

stunning place I had afternoon tea service by Dior Lily of the Valley my sever was so amazing he took us on beautiful trip to France explaining the Dior Story and why the name Lily of the valley and location ,incredible explanation about everything , the Damon tea was delicious and hot the entire time and flavor the best I ever had , every course starting from crab cakes to the tea service imperial with caviar sensational , hot scones to die for, with fresh homemade jam . he really made that experience to the lowel Hotel unforgivable , I think he was Brazilian because the accent but I feel bad watching him serving , bussing tables , wrap food to go , clearing tables , reseting tables ,running the food to us and others , this place can not afford to pay for support and buss boys never seen fining dining like that , my impression they will get burn out and live soon and such shame when the service was impeccable . will return with my family soon can't wait, also I want to get my Dior tea set in least for 4 guest for my home, extremely luxurious and necessary . Very impressed!!!

Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea (collab with Dior Maison): Food: 7.6/10 Service: 9/10 Ambience: 10/10 We ordered the $125 per person set menu. The tea was excellent. We loved the plating and teapot sets. Teas were delicious. I've had better afternoon tea food, but we were mostly there for the vibes anyways. I'd return to try the regular restaurant food!

Had Dior's "Lily of the Valley" afternoon tea for my birthday at Majorelle yesterday and it was truly impeccable! The food, ambiance and service were all top notch! Cannot recommend this special tea service enough! An absolute must experience this Summer in NYC! I will remember this day, thank you to everyone at Majorelle and The Lowell Hotel for making my day so perfect!

Never disappointed at Majorelle!! I have been dining here since they open the doors. Jacks runs a beautiful well appointed and delicious dining room. Fabulous French foods, deliciously prepared and served via very great staff. The flowers are beyond belief. Old world elegance awaits you here. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

I went to Majorelle for my birthday and am quite pleased that I did. I have been to a lot of restaurants in my life but this was the best smelling one of them all. There are fresh flowers everywhere and the scent is intoxicating in the best way possible. Seating was spacious and I did not feel like I was eating in a sardine can. The atmosphere really is quite relaxing. Everyone was polite, friendly, and not nosy. They made me feel like a queen. The food was quite good. I had the foie gras with pear appetizer which was probably the best I ever had. Seared foie gras is one of my favorite foods if not my favorite and Majorelle made my mind blow. I ordered the lamb entree with the black truffle supplement and was quite flavorful. The lamb came with the most beautiful scalloped potatoes that were ridiculously delicious. I never had a soufflé before so I ordered the chestnut one. I definitely ordered something magical! I don't really have anything negative to say. I would only suggest to prospective diners not to order the mezcal cocktail that has orange juice in it before drinking champagne though it is delicious.

The most beautiful restaurant in New York City, with wonderful food and gracious service. Next to the restaurant is Jacques, it's expansive lounge, which is perfect for a drink before or after dinner and is worthy of a separate visit on its own.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
