The food was served hot and on time.
The service was pleasant. I am so glad they turned on the heater because it was cold outside. The ambiance is your average chinese restaurant. Nothing fancy; but cleanliness was good.

Nobody there yet. Their concept is to order HK street noodles. They give you a laminated card and you mark off the things you want in your bowl. Price is ok, not cheap but not crazy. Portion is quite large. Food quality is pretty good, nothing mind blowing, solid 3-4/5 depending on what toppings you pick. The stuff they make is good, e.g. beef brisket, while their fish balls and other pre-made stuff tastes...well...premade, from a packet at the grocery store. Reading other people's reviews, it looks like their noodle prices have gone up a few dollars the past year. 3 item noodle will cost you $15.They also have an extensive "regular menu" for typical cantonese items besides the noodles. I got a half roast duck - this was excellent as far as HK style roast duck goes.overall if you avoid picking items that have pre-made stuff in it, e.g. fish and beef balls, i'd say overall a pretty solid 4/5.

Egg noodles were ok, but Chiu chow fish balls and beef balls were subpar. Chiu chow fish balls were not chiu chow style at all. Beef balls taste like more filler starches than actual beef. Both toppings tasted like the stuff from frozen aisleMajor disappoint

Service is okay. Roasted duck is delicious and it's not too salty like other restaurants. Great place to eat with family and friends

Came here for cart noodle, but they have lotssss on their menu. Lots of Hong Kong style dishes. The service was good but we definitely got confused after being seated and given menu. Was a little bit before sever checked in/took our order. We weren't sure if we were suppose to order up from. The place looks clean, even the bathroom so a plus for me. My husband loved the noodle texture of the egg noodle, I thought it was standard. Meal was good, hit the spot for us craving cart noodle. The milk tea lacked some tea tasted, lemon ice tea was good, perfect flavor with the appropriate amount of sweetness. The pineapple bun was on the smaller size but very soft and buttery, brings back memories of Hong Kong. Would recommend for those who wants noodle (as that's what we ordered and came for)
Be the first to ReplyWe came here just for the wonton noodle.
The noodle texture is different than before. I remember the one we had was crisp and al dente. The wonton seems different from what I remember. Lots of shrimp, crisp and fresh but not enough meat which they supposed to marinate with 麻油 and 大地魚. Lacking those flavor makes it very different experience.

I finally go to try HO KEE Cart Noodle after continuously passing by on Valley Blvd. I ordered some food for my grandma, aunt and I to try. We called in and was able to pick up within 20 minutes. The parking lot is located in the back and it is pretty spacious. Beware of some of the construction across the street. It was not crowded when I went inside to pick it up so everything went smoothly. We ordered 3 entrees and they were packaged in the usual black oval/round shape box. The price was decent and they filled the box to the brim. We ordered a Chicken Chow Fun, Soy Sauce Chicken, and Yang Chow Fried Rice. Everything tasted okay, like how it is supposed to taste. Nothing crazy or no wow factor. I will be coming back to dine in next time to try other foods so I am looking forward to that. Overall, it is a good place for the usual Hong Kong/Chinese food.

Parking is in the back and service was good. You can order the different " ingredients " 2-3 via marker on a laminated menu.Lots of choices -- different noodles / sauces / broth / veggiesCame here for the noodles, stay for the duck. Ordered half duck and it was well worth it

My friend told me that this place was really good, and I haven't had the opportunity to go. I went recently with a few friends. I had such a struggle because there's so many options. I wasn't sure what type of toppings to get and debated between two and three. I got the duck with pickled mustard, intestines and curry fish ball on the side. I didn't want the curry fish balls in the soup to mix the flavors. I got the braised flavor and medium spicy. I loved the broth, soup flavors and the ability to pick what you want. Will definitely come back!
Be the first to ReplyI would recommend the chef and store owner actually reviews
I would recommend the chef and store owner actually reviews the noodle toppings and tries it themselves. I know they would be disappointed. The fish balls (original and curry) have been boiled for so long they are watery, tasteless and have no chew. The sausage is basically from a pack of Nathan's. I expect more for a place that "specializes" in HK style cart noodles - where these toppings are important to get right. They're not even trying. And it's $15 a bowl! I feel ripped off. I'm giving a star for the waiter who was attentive and gave free lemon tea refills.
