Come for the food first, the view is just an added bonus.
loved this meal! The service was also great and felt very comfortable and accommodating.

Manhatta is located on the 60th floor and the view is gorgeous. We came for dinner so we were able to see the sunset. We opted in for the 4 course and it was delicious. It makes you crave for more. The waiters were all super attentive and informative.
Be the first to ReplyThe view is spectacular.
The food was even better. But, more importantly, the service was terrific. One of the best dining experiences ever. Bravo!!
Be the first to Replyoverall lovely experience.
felt upscale. check-in in the lobby and take the elevator up to the 60th floor where a beautiful view awaits. nice cocktail, beer, and wine selections. get the hamachi appetizer. skip the kohlrabi appetizer. very nice trout dish with hollandaise sauce. i had the burger. it was good but not out of this world. purple chips were delicious. seems like a very nice date spot.

If you're looking for a spot to dine with a beautiful skyline, this is your spot. Food and service is fantastic. They have creative drinks to go along with their amazing dishes.

It was definitely loud, but the view and lighting was amazing and the overall vibe was really nice. The waiters were polite and swift and the food was brought pretty quickly, actually. The third course did take some time to come, but it was worth it because it was all delicious and made well, some foods being more simple while others were like art piece. The only problem I had was that the foods seemed a bit overwhelming at times, it was also pretty pricy, but really nice location with a view of the bridge and city.

They have a cool concept for the cocktails, but the cocktails themselves are just ok. They leave you with something to be desired. The views are killer though and the vibe is very good. Very luxurious finishes, modern artwork in the hallways. The staff is not the most professional, the bartenders felt a bit lazy (saw them make a lot of mistakes and just kept making the drinks, o well). You're paying your bar tab here pretty much to get a view of the NYC skyline -- I guess they know that too.

Second time I've been for lunch/brunch, and it's now one of my favorite spots near us! The cocktail/wine selection is fantastic, and their zero proof options are so fun as well - a good variety of NA beer, wine, and cocktails. Food itself is really fantastic - on weekends they offer a ~$65 prix fixe menu with a ton of delicious options. I get the kohlrabi and grapefruit salad, the burger (which is IMO one of the best in the city), and the key lime pie. It's a generous amount of food and we've always left stuffed. The service is always so accommodating. Everything from drink recommendations to surprising ways the staff has acknowledged special occasions shows an attention to detail and to the diners that a lot of other restaurants don't have. Last but certainly not least is the view - you're on the 60th floor and the sights are incredible. Overall, would recommend their lunch service to anyone!
Be the first to ReplyManhatta is a true gem in the heart of New York City.
Situated on the 60th floor of a skyscraper in the Financial District, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the city skyline that are unmatched. The ambiance is elegant and sophisticated, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience. The food at Manhatta is equally impressive. The menu features a modern take on classic American cuisine, with a focus on seasonal ingredients and bold flavors. Each dish is beautifully presented and expertly crafted, showcasing the chef's attention to detail and culinary expertise. One of the standout dishes for me was the Duck Breast, which was perfectly cooked and served with a flavorful cherry sauce. The combination of flavors was exquisite, and the dish was a true testament to the chef's skill. The service at Manhatta is also top-notch. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. Overall, Manhatta is a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly special dining experience in New York City. The food, service, and ambiance are all exceptional, and I can't wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyWhen Manhatta opened on the 60th floor of a downtown office
When Manhatta opened on the 60th floor of a downtown office building, I was instantly intrigued. Though it took me years to get there, I was thrilled to check it out for drinks and appetizers with colleagues. We were unable to get someone on the phone to make a reservation, so we just tried showing up and were lucky to get a small, high-top table to stand at next to the bar. The place was packed with a happy hour crowd, so even though we had to stand, I was glad we had a space to park. For my first drink, I opted for the Pollen Oats, which included fennel pollen, Wild Turkey 101, Aperol, cherry, honey, ginger, and kombucha. While it was enjoyable, I had asked the server about just how much honey was in the drink, and he had said it was not very noticeable. However, that was sadly not the case, and I really am not a fan of honey. Oh well! That just meant that I had to try a second drink, and I selected the Brooklyn. The cocktail was no joke...The potent blend of cherry blossom, Ragtime Rye, Amaro, Maraschino, Sakura Vermouth, cherry bark, and vanilla was like a sweeter Manhattan that surely packed a punch! I really liked the drink, but it was a struggle not to feel overwhelmed by its strength. Thankfully, we ordered a few food items to absorb some of the alcohol. The Everything Pretzels were very doughy. They looked more like a pull-apart, flower-shaped bundle of mini-rolls than a large pretzel, though it certainly tasted like one. It was served with a creamy and zesty mustard cream cheese. We also had the Selection of Cheeses, which was a variety of soft and hard wedges, accompanied by jams and fig toast. The platter was expertly assembled. My experience at Manhatta might have been brief and not overly comfortable, but the food and drinks were very interesting. I really would love to return to the restaurant for a full dinner meal.
Be the first to ReplyMy friends were visiting from out of town and wanted to go
My friends were visiting from out of town and wanted to go somewhere for food, drinks, and a view so we went to Manhatta. Manhatta looks like a very upscale bar and reminds me of a lighter/scenic version of the old four seasons restaurant (renamed the grill NYC) prices for food and drinks are very reasonable. There were a few bartenders at the main bar but the one we had was very friendly and engaging and chatted with us throughout our entire stay - we were probably there 2.5 hours drinking, eating, and just catching upThe bar opens at 4 and the kitchen opens at 5. They have a great selection of drinks but surprised they didn't have clase azule. For some reason the Miller high life only came in 8oz bottles, the bartender explained why but I don't remember - he did mention that once they're gone, they will be ordering regular sized bottles. He suggested the rothaus and said it was refreshing but I thought it was just ok. The tap was broken but he said it was going to be fixed the next day. My friends both ordered the hidden gold which was a refreshing drink. I ordered a champagne cocktail which was very good - probably the second best I've ever had. When 5 came rolling around the corner, we ordered food The oysters manhatta was very good and tasted like oysters Rockefeller if it had a cousin. The bartender couldn't figure out why the oysters were 1/3 cheaper than listed but it was because they ran out if uni - that was a shame since I was looking forward to it but even without the uni, it was so good that we ordered 3 plates of it (4 per plate) For food, one of my friends had the tete de Cochon which was very good. My other friend had the dry aged burger medium well and I had the dry aged burger medium rare. The burgers were good except we wish they came with fries instead of half a pickle. Also, the server who brought out the food mixed up the burgers. I'm surprised they don't mark which is which so we were unhappy about that. It sucks since the kitchen just got started and they messed up already. I even asked the server if she was sure about which burger was which. Overall, it was very good and even with the mishaps, I would have given it a 4.5 to 4.7 but since I can't do a half rating, I'm going with a 4. If they would have served fries with the burger and didn't mix up the burgers, I would have given Manhatta a solid 5 stars. I forgot to mention something that irked me quit a bit. At one point I was washing my hands in the bathroom and saw a server leaving the stall without washing his hands. It was quite disgusting to know that he did that so I will probably be contacting management about that as doing something like that could get people sick.
Be the first to ReplyI went to Manhatta back in 2019.
After a long time waiting for them to reopen and come back to this masterpiece here is my take: This high-rise restaurant offers breathtaking views of the city skyline along with a top-notch dining experience. From the moment you step off the elevator and enter the restaurant, you are greeted with stunning panoramic views of the city through floor-to-ceiling windows. The decor is sleek and modern, with a muted color palette that allows the views to take center stage. But the real star of the show is the food. The menu features a range of dishes that showcase the best of modern American cuisine, from expertly grilled steaks to innovative seafood preparations. Service is impeccable, with attentive waitstaff who are knowledgeable about both the food and the wine. And despite the high-end atmosphere, the restaurant manages to maintain a relaxed and welcoming vibe that makes it suitable for both a special occasion or a casual night out.Overall, this high-rise restaurant in New York City is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with stunning views of the city.

We were able to enjoy NYC view while dining here. This was my second visit. Food was tasty. Although portions were small, quality and taste of each dish were great. I also ordered a rose cocktail which was sweet but refreshing. Service was good. We had to wait for 30minutes for the counter seats as no table was available.Would be back sometime.

Restaurant resos book up- we were able to walk in for bar seating but it was slammed. Dillon was a great server. Menu from the bar to restaurant is a little different. Def worth the visit if you are down in the financial district in the evenings
Be the first to ReplyHad an excellent experience at Manhatta this past Saturday.
Food and drinks wre delicious, super friendly host and hostess. Bartender excellent and friendly. Waitstaff attentive and friendly, there was a lack of "stuffiness" that I appreciated. The cocktails and food were fantastic. View unparalleled. I highly recommend this restaurant

Amazing place , great food, great view Mayra was super sweet and made us feel like home among all the emotionless and smileless New Yorkers Loves this place
Be the first to ReplyFood was very good, but attitude less than average.
Even though we still had half a bottle of Champagne left, they brought us the check first, we literally had to ask to get the rest of the Champagne (which was kept away from our table) and right away they wanted us to sit at the bar to waive our table. Not up to the standard for a $550 dinner for two including tips. Went to a dive bar afterwards where they appreciated our business. Not worth the money.

5: Manhatta is located on the 60th floor, and on a clear cloudless evening, the view is great. They are known for a great selection of cocktails, so a group of us came here for some drinks and eats.We ordered:+Scallop Crudo - with red pepper, black olives, and lime+Blue Crab and Caviar - with green tomatoes and horseradish+Grilled Maitake Mushroom - with honeynut squash and farro verde+Grilled Lobster - with black garlic, Tokyo turnips, and Carolina gold rice+Cote de Boeuf - with caraflex cabbage and pommes aligotFor drinks, we tried:+Paradise Lost - prepared with cocoa nib ming river baijiu, empirical soka, guava, tomato, vanilla, nutmet, and Thai chili+Gourd & Tailor - prepared with fig tequila cazadores blanco, pumpkin, sweet potato, papaya, lime, spices, soy clarified, and topped with roasted pineapple soda+Mistakes Were Made - ume plum, rockey's botanical liqueur, luxardo bitter bianco, sparkling wine with fig leave, cucumber, and grapefruit+Bae Room - with ketel one citroen, cointreau, lillet rose, white cranberry, rose, white tea, ginger, and lime leaf; a carbonated beverageWe definitely preferred the cocktails more than the shareables that we had ordered for the table.Service was poor, as both the hostess and the server were both dismissive and more on the rude end; not sure what that's all about! It's like, why is it so hard to be kind?I'm glad I was able to try this place out, but not sure if the rude service is worth a return visit.+poor service+good cocktails+great views

Very excited the dining room is back!Cocktails are always on point!Tried couple dishes:Barbecued Freshwater Eel with bone marrow: YUM. Nervous about western way of eel dish but very well done.Tete de Cochon with maple cured trout roe and peanuts: very good. Crunchy skin and shredded pork within. Not sure about the peanut though.Squid and Daikon Salad with cucumber and seaweed vinaigrette: our least favorite dish, the sauce was very so just cucumber not much seaweed, so ended up on the boring side.Foie Gras and Duck Pie with chanterelles and vin jaune: yum bur heavy.Chocolate Sabayon with hazelnut miso ice cream and passion fruit: more like chocolate mousse. Kinda so so.Great service, had a lovely time.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible special occasion/ date night spot.
The ambiance is quite intimate with incredible views over NYC. We started with the crab and caviar, and BBQ eel. Both had such unique flavoring and the crab was so fresh. For entrees we got the lobster which is prepared in 3 different manners. The black sauce beside the lobster was one of the most flavorful things I have ever eaten. We also enjoyed the dry duck which was cooked to perfection. Lastly for dessert the citrus dessert was light and fresh while sour and felt like a party in my mouth. Portions are fairly small so I would recommend sharing some appetizers along with the entrees. Great spot and would return to try the rest of the menu.
Be the first to ReplyI have very mixed feelings about Manhatta.
It is one of my favorite places in NY & I go there pretty often, including I have celebrated my birthday over there. But staff needs some training. And the manager at check-in needs to be replaced by a professional for this type of place, or at least some thorough training. Manhatta has one of the best cocktail bars in the city; the cocktails are exquisite, thought through, and you will not find anything like that in the city. Must try: MONSIEUR LAFAYETTE & PARADISE LOST. Also what they did right is they renovated their food menu, previously they had more sort of comfort food (best lobster roll ever, no longer tho), now they reinvented the concept & created more sophisticated menu and I have to say it is really good (pricier than it used to be), and I believe they change it seasonally (for sure dessert menu). They had apple Tarte Tatin (you cannot find it anywhere in the city) and it was really good, but two weeks later it was off the menu ( a bit disappointing). On my birthday, we had a reservation, and things went pretty smoothly. We had a very lovely waitress; she asked us if we were here for a special occasion, but at the end she forgot & we did not have any candles in our dessert or special attention. And a bit of a strange thing, she was insisting that we order entrees at the very beginning, despite the fact that we ordered all appetizers (we did later order entrees). Overall we had a great time! Two weeks later, we came for my friend's birthday; it was unplanned and had no reservations. When we came in, the hostess said they have tables, but she needs to wait for the manager so he can get us seated. We ordered drinks, and I kept watching people coming in, getting tables, and we did not get any attention. I came a second time (25 min later) - I showed them that they have a bunch of open tables on RESY within 20 min & I have asked if I should book it since they do not help us.. They rushed & apologized and said they will help us in 10 min... 20 min later nothing & they closed RESY tables (like what!!!), I came a third time and only when my friend came for the fourth time almost yelling, the manager gave us a table. That was such a poor experience, considering our check was almost close to $$$$ for 3 people. I gave three stars, just because it was a very poor attitude from the manager. And that's a big part of the overall experience. And of course, needless to stay, the view is stunning! The restaurant is on the 60th floor, it could not have bad view!

Lives up to the hype! Breathtaking views, delicious cocktails, great service! Didn't have any of the entrees, but the apps I got were good! Would recommend taking someone who's visiting NYC here.

Theydon't have a full tasting menu yet but what they do have is very tasty. The Seabass Crudo is a must and I love the fried chicken for lobster roll was just OK. Staff was fantastic and German who is the host took special care of us since it was my Friends birthday. The views of course are some of the best in the city. The seating is comfortable since you're never on top of anyone. By for one of the best dining experiences in NYC . Danny has done it again. Bring your camera.

So the views are amazing but we came during restaurant week and felt a bit neglected by our server. Food was good but the views are what you're really paying for. Hopefully service can improve on attentiveness.
