We really enjoyed our time here. The service was phenomenal. They were so attentive and really on it. The food was so delicious. We had a seafood tower, lobster bisque, bone-in ribeye steak, and butter cake. I really liked the ambiance of this restaurant and plan to return.

He ordered a seafood tower with oysters, lobsters, jumbo shrimps and crab meat that came in a smoky ice for our appetizer. OMG, that was very impressive and superb!!! Then we both have filet mignon and shared a lobster mashed potato for our side. The service was on point! There's always someone waiting on us and just very classy! To top it off, our waiter gave me a butter cake for my birthday. Yummy! The whole place is fabulous! The view of the ocean from our table was incredible! After dinner, we went to the bar and listened to their live music and they surprised us by singing my Mom's song "Fly me to the Moon". Made us teary as my Mom just passed 2 months ago and she made us both feel she was there celebrating my birthday with us. Loved the vibe! It was such an epic night and a very unforgettable birthday dinner! Highly recommend

Waitress was wonderful! Restaurant was pretty overrated for what you pay imo. I got steak and asked for medium, she said they typically prepare medium rare but comes out on a hot plate and may continue cooking, I said that's perfect. It came out with no pink inside and I cut into it quickly, so it didn't sit cooking. Medium is usually pink inside. One steak was the wrong onebut they corrected it and brought out another, also gave a free dessert bc of it. The four stars is because they tried to make it right, otherwise would definitely do less. I didn't complain about my overdone steak because it was a business dinner but probably would have otherwise. Maybe I need to give it another try, but didn't live up to the hype for me.

From Wagyu to Filet to seafood tower. We came here tonight to just relax and eat some bar snacks like creme brรปlรฉe, latte, and cocktails. All were good. Service - as best as a bar service could be Ambiance - on a Friday night, very busy in the bar area with some reserved seats as well as 2 bar areas. There is also seating for dining. All gets packed as a novel date night fancy dining and bar. Love love love it! Verdict - all is good is this place. No real complaints. Pricewise, a little on the higher side, but of course you better know that. This is Newport and this is Mastros. Valet parking and service oriented. All were as expected.

Ordered A5 Japanese Wagyu 16oz for the family to share, sea bass, hamachi and crab cake for appetizers, and other. Food was good. I ordered Elder & Wiser cocktail that the waitress brought out in a cocktail shaker and poured it for me at the table and has the smoke effect with dry ice. When she was pouting the drink for me, the shaker came apart and ended up splashing it all over me, so that was the low light of the dinner. She apologized and brought me a new one but charged me for two cocktails...
My wife and I have been coming here for years.
Not sure what has happened to hospitality or common manners, nonetheless... Kayla, who works phones and front desk should not be who represents or is front of the house for this Mastro's location. I spoke with Kayla on the phone and dealt with her a few times in person and I'm not sure how they still have her working here. Shame on you Kayla

Valentine's date last Sunday was awesome BF uber surprised me by taking me out to Mastro's, which I low key always wanted to try but never been to... and it actually lived up to all the things people have told me. Wonderful service, food, live music - up there on my list with Summit House. Alicia was our server and she was such a joy. We ordered the 22 ounce ribeye, lobster bisque, crab cakes and to drink, 2 cocktails, me with a mojito and him with something I forget with I think whiskey? Enjoyed our meal and would love to come back on a night where we can sit in the booths by the piano and listen to live music by the bar downstairs over dinner and drinks

The Martinis are amazing, the Food is wonderful and the service is great! Mastros always provides a great experience. We really like the atmosphere and we sat at the bar.

We had an amazing birthday dinner here tonight! Our server, Betsy, and her table side partner Edwin were both absolutely perfect! From the food to the service to the live background music, the night couldnโt have been better!! And when you think youโre full and canโt eat anymore, you must still have their signature butter cake. Youโll find room for it.
Disappointed, its just not the same
Having been fans of Mastros for 25 plus years, it is definitely slipping. We have noticed it has slowly slipped sense Landrys bought them a few years ago. We were a party of 3 couples. The table was set next to entrance to kitchen so it was loud and bumping into shoulders of the person sitting on that side of aisle. Caesar salad was nothing special and did not seem fresh. Ordered 3 shrimp cocktails at $30 a piece and it came with small dish with about one spoonful of cocktail sauce for 12 shrimps. Had to ask for the horseradish that it normally comes with and extra sauce. Service was not the same for sure. I had halibut which was dry to me. Mashed potatoes were very thin and runny and tasted more like instant. People who had the steaks said they were still good. We have had the same dishes before over the years and definitely not the same. This location seems to become more of a bar and scene than a great restaurant. Itโs a shame. Hoping the original owners of Mastroโs who will be opening steak 48 in Newport fashion island will bring back the original amazing food and service. I will say the Costa Mesa location was better than Newport but still noticeable downward change. For a dinner that averages around $150 plus per person it is disappointing.

Wanted to take our friends from London to the Newport Ocean Club for their last night here. It was our first time here... and our last. Beautiful place, and we had a great table next to the window with a great sunset view. Ordered Filets - 3 8oz's medium rare and one 12oz rare, garlic mashed and asparagus to share. Waiter brought us 2 8oz's, 1 12oz, and a piece of burnt shoe leather on a plate. Waiter told us that's what she wrote down for our order..told her she was wrong, and returned the burnt leather for an 8oz medium rare, and had to wait for it while the rest of us ate. Our friends were not impressed, especially since he was the one with the burnt leather. Mashed potatoes were worse than KFC! Embarrassment # 2. Asparagus was way over done. Waitress apologized for everything and gave us a free dessert.. yippie! Oh yea.. the coffee was luke warm. As expensive as this place is, you think they would get it right... But No.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
