Food is authentic Chinese! Servers are friendly also the owners. Over all a good experience except their restroom, floors are wet, just not a clean restroom could have been attended better

What happened to your pork chop? I've always enjoyed your pork chop and would never mind driving to Chinatown. But this... super disappointing! Ordered this to-go tonight and was devastated to see this when I got home.

First of all there were no other customer, except for one man that left right after we entered around 130. There was no one to greet us at the door, we had to go into the restaurant to find the waitress. she apologized because she was the only one working, but we were her only customers. once seated and order taken, we sat there a good thirty minutes for our food. my sister ordered stuffed flounder, I had stuffed shrimp and baked potato. the food was horrible, not hot at all, barely warm. Every thing took so very long, hate to think what it would be if there were more customers. would not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyBest food I've had since I left China.

Fuck this place I been come here for some time (years)now and found out today the lady who writes down the orders will charge you for more expensive items and always had a hunch something was off but caught them red handed today it's not about the 5/7 dollars I pay more per visit it's the principle of things.. if you go please double check your orders I personally will not be going back. I can't stand thief's foods alright but I'll just go back to abc across the street.

Our go-to place if we have large family gathering / celebration! Food is always good and servers and staff listens to your requests. And the owners were there also to assist you.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic place for Chinese food.
Great portions and pricing. Will definitely be a regular here.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious authentic food.
The service is great and prices are unbelievable. The owner lady genuinely cares and goes out of her way to please customers. Family oriented place. The beef and bun, the fried shrimp, and the chicken and greenbeans are my favorite. This place is my husband's favorite spot for the past 12 yrs. Never disappointed.

Ambience is okey.. considering it's been awhile there

Mayflower Seafood Restaurant seems more like a shrine to Manny Pacquiao then a Chinese restaurant. I've seen this place many times as I drive through that part of Chinatown, looking for parking but the first time to go inside. I heard a lot about it and wanted to try it out. Extensive menu, Manny memorabilia...But these reviews aren't always about the ambiance or look; it's about the food and service.Yeah, it's got a lot of cool looking things to see but just remember, Planet Hollywood...The food came out and it was nothing special. From the surrounding tables, fried pork chops, fried shrimp and fried fish was the staple. Our food was rather bland and cold. I asked for something spicy, other than the big bottle of sriracha they have on the table. With some coaxing, I was able to get some jalapeños in a bowl of soy sauce. I guess that will do...The service was sub-par and they spoke very little, if any, English. I don't discount that, but refilling water, checking to see how everything tastes is restaurant server 101. I see that they do have their regulars since they got busy after 1230 pm. Manage the expectations, but if it's just to take orders and deliver food...the expectations speak for themselves Ambiance 8/10Cleanliness 6/10Bathrooms 6/10Service 4/10Value 5/10Food 2/10Will I Return? Hmmmm...

Always a great idea to end your day here after a long day! Quick service, delisting eats! My fave is the house lobster - mmmmm so tasty! Make sure you come with an appetite and good company to share! They used to be cash only but now taking cards. Meter parking, as well as public parking available.

My parents like coming here because the food is cheap, the portions are large, and it's Pacquaio's favorite Chinese restaurant in LA, but I find the food intolerably salty. I have to eat each bite with so much rice. The service is just like everyone describes. You can't really expect American-style service from any authentic Chinese restaurant, but how many people do you have to flag down just to get your order in? There is better Chinese elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyAnother gem in Chinatown.
The aunties don't speak English but there's one uncle who does, so just be patient. I just smile and point at items on menu. The lunch specials are good, and so reasonably priced. Come with complimentary hot tea and dessert:-salt and pepper fried fish fillet $9.99 (4/5)Fish portion is a bit smaller compare to other places but it's also cheaper so i don't mind.-French style beef $11.99 (4/5)Beef slices instead of cubes and a bit chewy. Lots of garlic-house special shrimp $11.99 (4/5)Same sauce use on above beef dish, with just as many crushed garlicAdding this to my bookmark so I can come back

This used to be our go to place for really good chinese food whenever we are in LA. Service has always been terrible. Servers dont speak rngliah. Its a pain in the ass to ask for something. Napkins water drinks utensils you name it. Better brush up on your charades to try to get something. But that used to not deter us from coming because the food was good. Sadly we went to take friends there last night and most of food lacked flavor and seasoning. Mayflower fried rice - always good. Did not disappointHouse special crispy noodles- noodles was crispy but no flavor.Fish in black bean sauce- it was okay could use more saltSalt pepper pork chops - super crispy and soft in the inside. Butcould not taste any salt and pepper on the pork. Peking duck - it was dood. The skin was crispy and the meat is soft.Wonton soup - no seasoning on the broth or the wonton. Just bland water with wontons a few pieces of latge chopped up bok choy. Like they didnt even want to try making it look good. All in all i dint think we would come back. Time to find another good chinese restaurant in town.

Be the first to ReplyFood is very good.
Delicious fried rice, well seasoned pork chop, crunchy battered flounder, my favorite bitter melon with beef and black bean sauce. Accommodating and good good service.

This is our to go to after visiting the gravesite . But today we went before heading out to Forest Lawn.Craving their fried pork green onions.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is just bad.
Bad service, rude service, and bad food. We asked for our missing meal and they wouldnt answer us. And that was how asking for water, plates, napkins, etc went. So we dont even know if they understood us or not.
Be the first to ReplySatisfied customer service.
Everyone is happy. The people serving are also very warm. Thank u

Today we went to try their lunch specials @$9.99.Total bill $40 for 4 lunch specials.Very good food and service by Linh.Servings were still a lot good for 6 people really,We still had left overs,Their lunch specials used to come with soup before the pandemic so now it just comes with rice. They always serve you a tapioca dessert after meal.

I'm not going to repeat what's been said in the previous comments. Every bad review you've read here is true. Beware if the item on the menu is seasonal. Ask for the price, or they will GOUGE you big time.
Be the first to ReplyDoesn't look like much when you pass by.
However, the food is plentiful and good. The lunch specials are well-priced. The atmosphere is friendly. However, the service is a little slow.
