Great Cooking
The four of us greatly enjoyed Meadowsweet. We order the olive oil roles (very good), the baby artichokes (good), burrata (very good), cavatelli (very good) and the tajarin & truffles (excellent). On the main courses the black sea bass was excellent, the chicken (very good) the wagyu bavetta (very good) and the cheeseburger was very good. Successful desserts were the flourless chocolate cake and the brown butter almond cake. For cocktails, we enjoyed the mighty quinn and the forgive and forget.

We really enjoyed our brunch. The outdoor tables were perfect. They offer an interesting variety of meals for breakfast/brunch. The Norwegian and Spring Scramble were very tasty. Our servers were friendly and very helpful. Prices are reasonable. Good value for money.

we took the M train over from Manhattan, Meadowsweet is right by Peter Luger, just a few minutes walk from Marcy St. subway. It has some outside seating, but the bridge traffic makes it a little noisy and smoggy out there, so we sat inside. We started with the rolls, so tasty. We started with the buratta and the baby carrots, then I had the duck, and we finished up with the almond cake and a glass of Vin Santo. Everything was amazing. Good wines and cocktails, Very nice spot. I would go back.

Delicious fresh food. Here for Mother’s Day brunch. Great options: two of us had the fried chicken sandwich. One had avocado toast. I had chicken breast with salad. Perfectly cooked chicken. Moist and flavorful. Perfect salad dressing.
Be the first to ReplyNeat but no star
Typical Brooklyn: no fuss, no frill, more or less affordable, actually enjoyable. But if you are looking for a star-experience, this is not the place. Food is ok, ingredients are upscale quality. Yet the arrangements, the fried stuff and the poor wine by the glass selection are not quite what I would expect from a 1-star by my standards. Downgrade it to a BIB gourmand and I would fully agree and support,

Perfect Brooklyn location. Super charming. Great service from Melissa! And the food far surpassed our expectations. We ate dinner outside and everything was interesting and delicious. Get the rolls to start - they are worth it. The craft cocktails were equally delicious. Then we started with the empanadas and artichokes - both great! Then moved onto the duck and wagyu...both perfectly prepared medium rare and super flavorful. Food this good would have been 50% more expensive just across the bridge in Manhattan. Definitely worth taking a trip to Brooklyn for Meadowsweet!
Be the first to ReplyA very very happy-making place.
It's a bit pricey, but hey, this is Williamsburg, so what d'you expect?
That said, ambience is great, the food is impeccably good, the staff is friendly, and there is Good Wine, so yeah, it's all good.
Tip - get a whole bunch of small plates and share, it's the best way to check everything out!
Great brunch spot
Excellent brunch with really fresh ingredients and attentive service. We ordered the doughnuts, chorizo, fontina and potato empanadas, cheeseburger, bacon, caramelized onion omelet.
Be the first to ReplyJust fantastic service, great food and a comfortable interior. Plus interesting wine list. Highly recommended!
Share plates and try everything! The empanadas with chorizo and fontina were delicious as was the cavatelli with fennel sausage. On the entree side the spiced duck was off the charts. Well done!

Was so disappointed with our experience here and the mediocre food and pooor service. At this price… you can do better!
Be the first to ReplyLovely Brunch with excellent food and service
My family brunched at Meadowsweet recently. We had reserved an outdoor table which was clean, spacious and felt well protected from fellow diners and the elements. The service was very good. The Bloody Mary was outstanding and all of food was tasty and a good value. The fried baby artichokes were so good that we ordered another serving. I would not hesitate to dine at Meadowsweet any time I'm visiting my family in Brooklyn.

During Covid-19 times you learn to appreciate something that makes you happy. The staff at Meadowsweet with it's only 4 or 5 tables they can properly social distance made my wife and I happy. They hustled, were friendly and delivered us great cocktails and food.

Across from Peter Lugers and next to a very popular pizza place, this one star michelin had nice outside and spaced tables and absolutely refined fantastic food. If anything we over ordered so my wife back at the hotel could have left overs. And the wine list also was good albeit a little short. And then she raved as well. Hats off to the server and staff!

Went with a friend and sat at the bar, cocktails were interesting and fantastic. Service and food was great, highly recommend this little gem!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great place
Yes, it's a Michelin star restaurant, but not like in The Netherlands. No apetizers, no wine arrangments, so keep that in mind...But the food is great, the salads amazing, very friendly waiters and reasonable prices.
