Amazing setting and great food options
Loved this place! So many options and something for everyone. I am amazed by the converted cathedral/church to this street food market place. One of my favorite spots for lunch with friends in London.
Be the first to ReplyStupid Water Bottle Policy
We had our bags searched at the door and water bottles confiscated due to what we were told was an environmental sustainability policy. This forced us to buy drinks inside which were in plastic containers and upon leaving we then had to buy more water bottles to replace the initial bottles. When I asked the rude staff on the door to explain their ridiculous policy they literally laughed at me saying the plastic served inside was biodegradable. It isn’t. So if this is their policy then please bring your water inside in a paper cup and see what they have to say about that.
Be the first to ReplyTop location - food mediocre at best ;-(
The location is unique and definitely worth a visit! But you should leave it at a drink - the food is average at best and, considering the quality, overpriced even by London standards!
Be the first to ReplyIt's worth having something
Very curious market in London. An old church converted into a market. Super pretty. There are several restaurants upstairs, one of them Spanish. It's worth going even if it's just to have a drink.

I visited Mercato Metropolitano and was thoroughly disappointed. The place was packed to the brim with people, making it impossible to move around comfortably. The lack of proper ventilation made it feel suffocating, and the excessively loud music only added to the chaos. To top it off, I was shocked to find out that they don't allow peopleto bring their own water bottles. As a Catholic, I found it incredibly disrespectful that images related to biblical passages are still displayed while people are drinking, eating, and partying. I won't be returning anytime soon.
Be the first to ReplyRestaurant is always great fun
This Mayfair restaurant serves Italian-style cuisine, The Italian-style food appeals to local residents and international guests in London. Marcato Metropolitano is a great spot in Mayfair for lunch and dinner. This restaurant is one of the most popular Italian sites in London. We loved visiting Mercato Metropolitano for lunch. The restaurant 's lunch was great fun.

Certainly one of the best food courts in London! As much for the breathtaking setting as for the quality of the dishes offered by the different corners.
Be the first to ReplyOriginal and accessible
In this church in the center of London you can eat delicious dishes for an affordable price. It's not expensive and the quality is good, a plate of pasta costs about £15. There are many other dishes to eat such as pizza, Asian dishes, sweets, etc. The place is very nice and although it is not particularly comfortable, at least you can sit and eat in a different place with special views.
Be the first to ReplyLovely market in central London
I come here very often, very central place, lovely atmosphere, loads of stands where to choose from! Definitely recommended
Be the first to ReplyFabulous food hall
Went following a meeting with colleagues bases purely on an online recommendation. Impressive entrance. Lovely atmosphere. Obviously popular as constant stream of people coming and going. Good choice of both food and drink over 3 floors (basement and balcony). All very reasonably priced. Quick service. Will certainly be returning on my next visit to London
Be the first to ReplyCrowded market
This old church converted into a market with different restaurants and cuisines on three floors is busy and crowded on a weekend. I went to the ground floor, like a dungeon where I found a sushi bar. I ordered a tuna sashimi and it was good. There were different kinds of food from pasta to Malaysian randang with rice on the second floor. There's a wine bar for those who like to sip a glass of wine or hard drink.
Be the first to ReplyYes, Make a Visit
Outside the well dressed groups of ladies pushing to front of lines like they own the place, Mercato is great. Used 5 of the food and drink options and all were very good. Place is packed on weekends so get there earlier than usual dinner hours. The structure is what makes this place paired with variety of food options.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible service, overpriced, family unfriendly - DO NOT GO
One of the worst overpriced places in London. Poor capacity control resulting in absolutely no place to sit especially as I went with a young family. We landed up sitting on top of some cupboards in the corner to eat. The staff were not happy about this and brought security to tell us to get off with absolutely no suggestion of where else I could sit with my kids who by this point were hungry and had already started eating. Staff were totally unhelpful and just said we had to find a table (when they could clearly see there was none and would not even offer to help us find one). Never ever ever go there with young children - even if you paid me I would not go there again. Better quality food available elsewhere in London (it is a big city after all!) with far politer staff and better service!
Be the first to ReplySpanish restaurant ruins the place!
Its the first time I face this much rude behavior in a restaurant. The waitress in spanish restaurant at 2.nd floor shouted at me, she was never polite and kind , and never welcomed us. She disrespected us and she lied to the guard like we swear out (I didnt). Why a waitress see herself as superior than customer? I just want to see smiling face from a waitress and she hasnt! You pay for nothing! Never ever!
Be the first to ReplySpecial food market
What a special place for a food market, we just had coffee and a cake but Woow! Prices for Mayfair location are 🤜🏻
Be the first to ReplyGreat fun if you want a casual, loud atmosphere. Good for groups with a variety of options!
These types of places are great if your in a group, don't mind somewhere loud and you want a variety of options to either eat or drink. Casual and fun if you don't want a formal meal. You can get your food quickly. Suggest grabbing a table first and then taking it in turns to order so someone in your party keeps the seats! We stayed on the main entrance level as we only wanted drinks. Busy, even on a cold Monday evening. Cool vibe. The entrance level has mainly Italian cuisine, pasta, pizza, ice cream and drinks. There are other cuisines including Malaysian on the upper level. The communal tables are generally kept clean and much better than other places. Staff do try here. They are strict and you can't bring outside food in. I have been on a weekend before and it is super busy! Difficult to find seats at peak times. I had an orange juice from Badiani Gelato which was very fresh and nice but so pricey! Would recommend. Check the website, I think if you are in a group of a certain size or more then you can reserve a table. Convenient location just off Oxford Street. This was a former church, lovely interior.
Be the first to ReplyRubbish
Don't go to the Malaysian Street Food The Spice Lab. It is not authentic. My wife is Malaysian. She tried the Nasi Lemak. Very poor. Sambar not properly prepared. No anchovies. And overpriced for what you get. Avoid avoid avoid.
Be the first to ReplyNice experience
We had lunch here. everyone could find something they wanted to eat. Some dishes were excellent like the bao buns, other were not like the Pad Thai. The wine bar was expensive and the wine disappointing. Overall nice experience, not sure I would come back though.
Be the first to ReplyDirty Tables
Good food and drink options, amazing venue inside an abbey, they have a lot right, but the communal tables are dirty and aren’t cleaned enough after every diner, one of my pet hates!
Be the first to ReplyNice concept, poor quality of food
Very interesting concept: such an alternative place with bars and restaurants in a church. But the quality of food was not top.
Be the first to ReplyPower outage - didn’t get to experience!
A cool place with an interesting concept, however when we showed up there had been a power outage so we did not get to partake in anything at the time. Maybe next time.
Be the first to ReplyGreat lunch spot!
We had a great lunch here sharing bao buns to start followed by Chicken Curry from the Pad Thai place on the mezzanine level. There is seating on the ground floor, mezzanine level and even a small roof terrace but we sat down in the basement. We bought wine from the wine bar in the basement then collected food and bought it back to the basement. Great spot for lunch.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing venue
Was looking for a place to get a drink around 9.30pm just off Oxford St and found this place which was amazing. A converted church with around a dozen food stalls and 3 or 4 bars serving gin and tonics, Kraft beer and cocktails. Music, friendly and the sort of place you have to have a look around once in. Child friendly. Sort of place you would see on Tic Tok
Be the first to ReplyVery cool venue
The outside of the building is a lot more understated so it was almost breathtaking when we entered. I had a stone baked pizza and it was absolutely delicious. Sometimes in venues like this the quality isn’t always the best, and it can be overpriced, especially in central London, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous building
Stunning building, worth visiting just to see it and lovely food choices. You order at counters around the outside and then take to communal seating in the central area. Better to visit in quieter times as imagine might get very busy and difficult to find a seat.
