Not dog friendly eventhough they are allowed
The hotel doesn't allow you to leave the dogs alone in the bedroom which is stated nowhere while booking. If you don't want dogs in your hotel don't allow them. I would have chosen another place to stay if I had known this in advance. I hace never experienced this and we travel with our dogs frequently.

We stayed for 3 nights from 24th to 27th November. Check in was easy, parking was good but a space must be pre booked. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and the bar was cosy and very well priced. I would definitely stay again as the location is ideal and the price was reasonable. Breakfast was very expensive but there are cheaper options locally.
Be the first to ReplyGood but not great at all
Fair to fair! Room was very warm and uncomfortable. Building was aged. Staff was just โokโ. Breakfast was pretty good though. Location is great, so thatโs a positive. Most of the buildings here are aged, so this is nothing unusual. The town is beautiful though.
Be the first to ReplyVery lovely hotel and room
We stayed here for one night for a concert at the Hippodrome. It's a 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. We arrived early, so it was not possible to check in, but we were able to leave our luggage and walk around the town a bit. We came back later and were checked in and advised how to reach the room by a lift at the back - quite a compact space, so not ideal if you want to keep distance. Nevertheless, we got to our room and it was very nice - carpet a little shabby at the door and the bathroom was small considering the room itself was quite big, but the toiletries were very luxury. There was also complimentary water and glasses - a big plus for me. Paper cups are ok, but do get soggy after a while, so glasses are perfect. As a Silver member, I also took advantage of the welcome drink, but as it was busy in the evening, we were able to take our drinks up to our room. We didn't take advantage of breakfast - at 22 euros per person, this is by far the most expensive I have seen it at in the Accor chain. There are plenty of nearby cafes to eat at. We got a really nice breakfast at Cheers just across the road. It was nice to have some luxury, even if it was just for one night.
Be the first to ReplyGreat location!
Everything at the Mercure was great for my short stay. I could walk the coast within minutes and get to good restaurants easily. The staff were very helpful and each one went out of their way with any question I had. I would definitely return to this hotel when in Oostende again!
