STAY. HERE.
We picked the Glenmark on a literal last minute business trip. Had to book through the front desk because my Bonvoy app wasn’t working properly. From the moment we interacted with the hotel to the day that we checked out, our experience was just fantastic! Pamela at the front desk was so sweet, so kind, she made the reservation process a breeze and also treated us to complimentary parking for our first night, which we really appreciated. The hotel is only 2 years old, with a cool, modern/funky vibe. Rooms are super clean, very modern, crisp bedding, fluffy towels, classy robes (I feel so pampered w a nice hotel robe 😉). We stay at a lot of Marriott properties, and this hotel is quite the value for under $300 for the LA area. (Speaking of which, if you’re going to LA and don’t want to deal with all the traffic and difficulty of LA proper, staying in Glendale is a very nice choice. City is super clean, plenty of great restaurants, very little traffic.) We began our night with a drink in the cute downstairs bar, which had an engaging bartender, and one of the best old fashions I’ve had in a long time. We then headed up to Mya, the rooftop restaurant, and had some delicious sushi (insider report is that the sushi comes from the same source as the infamous Nobu Malibu!) The next morning before we left, we had breakfast in the downstairs café, Olia and I have to say, that food was also excellent; the menu is eclectic, but all the choices are delicious! My only complaint - and it is a small one - is that the restaurants appear to be a bit understaffed. The servers had to struggle a bit to keep up with the customers. Perhaps that will smooth itself out in time.
Be the first to ReplyGreat hotel!
My bestie and I were getting away for a quick overnight. We originally were supposed to stay by the beach but changed our plans with the rain forecast. Due to the inclement weather the rooftop restaurant/bar was not open but other than that our stay at the Glenmark was a great experience. The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated. The hotel smelled and looked clean and new. The staff was great. The hotel is close to shopping and restaurants a short drive away. And we went to the spa the hotel website recommended as well. I highly doubt we will return because it was a one off but I do recommend the hotel from our pleasant experience.

Off to a rocky start m. Lifetime Platinum/Titanium member. After long haul flight usually just usually early check is available. Nope not here. The clerk kindly read me the statement clause about its based on availability which I appreciate the reminder but when it become a lecture and you are talking to frequent traveler and member it’s kind like talking to down to someone front behind the desk. Maybe my jet lag is catching up but the stuff attitude not necessary just keep housekeeping to flip the room and let me get on my way. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyFelt high end, amazing rooftop bar/restaurant!
This hotel was recommended by the company that had their summit in Burbank. I found out it had been built recently (completed just before the pandemic). Fantastic service, very comfortable rooms, and the rooftop bar and restaurant is fabulous. We notice a lot of people that were not guests of the hotel meeting there for drinks and dinner so you know it's a local hot spot. Great place to watch the sun go down. Centrally located and walkable to other restaurants and only 10-15 minutes to the studio lots in Burbank (either via city streets or the freeway). Very nice amenities in the rooms, super comfortable. I would definitely stay there again! Tight underground parking garage though, I was happy to have a smallish rental car. Small parking spaces, tight turns.
Be the first to ReplySo many things wrong
So many things just WRONG with this hotel that has potential to (and could/should) be excellent if managed well. Avoid this hotel if you are from east coast time zone. Breakfast begins 8am (yes, 11am for us)! When i asked management get this... they said there was not enough business to justify starting earlier. Well… the job of a hotel is to provide for guests! Misplaced priorities here. Whatever happened to hotels catering for customers??? This is a hotel which is apparently part of the worlds biggest hotel chain with travelers from all over the country/world - but they cannot have someone begin breakfast before 11am EST. Speaking of the breakfast restaurant - tables were not cleaned. We watched one group leave and staff do a cursory sweep of crumbs off the table then the next guests could come in. Accordingly, we noticed table mats were dirty. Really unacceptable levels of hygeine from a supposedly higher quality hotel! Overall the staff in this breakfast cafe really didn’t impress. Titanium Bonvoy members get $20 per day credit. We were told on check in gratuities not included (so dont forget to tip). They overcharged my invoice at check out. Why.. we were desperate for something at 7am so ordered coffee. But could not order food until 8am. The staff told me; oh we can only make one discount per guest per day. So my coffee was free (at 10am EST) but the breakfast (available 11am EST) had to be paid? What??? Drip coffee at breakfast was charged $5. The muffin ($3) was hard. We returned it and staff apologized that they had ‘mistakenly’ served yesterdays stock. A new one was offered but it was still partly frozen. Not edible! Reported it but staff shrugged and didnt care. $30 parking. Is this really justified? I asked pre-arrival for quiet room location and the staff kindly offered me end of corridor on 4th floor. That was nice and considerate. One day we asked for a wine bottle opener. They promised to send to our room. Took an hour and 2 trips to front desk to finally resolve. Another example of bad management and inconvenience to guests. We tried to use rooftop bar/restaurant. The two staff greeting us at the entrance looked completely unable to comprehend 2 guests were asking to come in and sit at the bar. Completely untrained and unwelcoming staff. We left and went elsewhere. Tried contacting hotel GM. Completely unresponsive. One of front desk managers did reply (see explanation of breakfast opening times above). Overall the hotel is ultra modern, room lights all controlled together by one dimmer switch is a nice idea but actually inconvenient. This hotel just had so many small details very wrong and it detracted from what should have been a much better stay. the ethos is all about making money, not about caring for guests and providing a convenient and clean environment. Lack of management (GM - Kevin Briggs) accountability was very disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyCoolest in Glendale
This is the coolest hotel in Glendale. It is modern, chic and the rooftop restaurant is such a wonderful hangout and has great food. Everyone should try this at least once so they know where to stay again and again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat location, great staff and pretty Zen design.
We stayed at The Glenmark this past summer for one week. The area lacks more upscale hotels, and we've had some truly bad experiences in the past. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I was glad to see this new property added in Glendale. I was hoping for the best, but a bit skeptical as pictures don't always convey reality. But from our arrival to departure, with the exception of a misunderstanding our stay was great. We were upgraded and our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was oversize which was nice for a longer stay. The only complaint I have is the edges of the glass coffee table were sharp and we kept bumping into it. Perhaps the management should consider swapping these out as someone can really get hurt. Chris at the front desk was always pleasant and helpful. We didn't try the gym or the rooftop restaurant as we had a busy schedule. Will definitely stay at The Glenmark on our next trip to Glendale.
Be the first to ReplyNot Family Friendly
I was excited to read the reviews and one thing that I should have paid attention to was there is NO POOL. I had my kids with me, so that was a shame, but it's OK, we can galavant Los Angeles, so it wasn't a deal breaker. I come in my room and my daughter asked why there was such a strong smell inside the room, so it had a weird smell at first. I go to the gym, no towels, but one that was barely folded, no water. Nice gym, but obviously no one checked to replenish anything. Walls are thin, or atleast one side is and I can hear full on conversations going on in the hallway. One good thing was that the staff is super nice. Asides from that, I was a bit disappointed.

Very clean and quiet hotel. An oasis in the middle of LA craziness. I was amazed how quiet it was at night and how well I slept. The rooftop bar/resturant was awesome. I would highly recommend a stay here. The staff were fantastic. There is ample parking including valet service.
Be the first to ReplyThe room is top notch! If someone complains about rooms they are the problem.
As a Titanium Elite member I log lots of nights and am highly critical of each property when necessary. This property left nothing to chance; including both a tub and shower in the bath shower suite. This hotel was a welcome end to a week long trip. Thanks Glenmark.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. The rooftop had amazing views, especially at night, and really good service. The rooms were like new with really nice, trendy décor. My favorite piece was a pomegranate statue by the lobby bar. Would definitely stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome vibes
Amazing ambiance! We stayed here while visiting family in the area. The lobby is super beautiful. Indoor plants, nice furniture, and an art wall!! The front desk was so nice and even gave us some recs around town. Our room was also very clean and modern with a nespresso coffee maker. And to top it off, they have a rooftop lounge! We had delicious drinks and bar bites while enjoying the view. Overall awesome!
Be the first to ReplyNice property, loud neighborhood
Stayed for one night and used a suite night award for an upgrade. The suite was quite large and well designed. Unfortunately the curtains didn’t do a very good job of keeping the light out in the morning. The neighborhood wasn’t the quietest, either, with a steady stream of sirens, traffic and garbage trucks. I did appreciate the free and unrestricted street parking adjacent to the property. We found no utensils, cups or glasses in the suite’s kitchenette. Fortunately the bar downstairs spotted us some nice wine glasses. I was also pleased that the coffee bar downstairs served hot food on real plates with real silverware and actual coffee cups. Too many Marriott and other chain properties are going the disposable route these days.
Be the first to ReplyParents visiting from NYC were very happy!
My Mum and Dad stayed at the Glemnmark for 3 nights over a weekend and were very pleased and impressed with their stay. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated. The entire process was easy and comfortable from the wonderful staff at checkin, to the bartender and servers at the restaurant. The breakfast each morning has a variety of choices- all delicious. The roof top is very trendy and cool with a lovely view. The location is so convenient to several sightseeing locations. There were several wonderful touches like a large screen TV, beautiful artwork in the lobby and easy parking. We will be back!! Thank you for a fabulous stay!
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot!
I took my wife to the rooftop restaurant at the Glenmark Hotel in Glendale. The rooftop restaurant is called Mlila and is a massive open air space with wraparound views of the Glendale mountains and city skyline that I can only describe as breathtaking. I had no idea this place existed. But apparently a lot of people know the secret because this place was buzzing with activity and feels like an upscale scene with a warm vibe. My wife and I enjoyed sharable sushi dishes, unique appetizers and some creative cocktails. What really stood out to both my wife and I was the service because all of the persons who served us had infectious personalities and we had some interesting conversations. I am extremely pleased that a good friend recommended this gem of a restaurant. If you appreciate gorgeous views, excellent food and killer service, then Milo in Glendale should be on your restaurant experience bucket list. Maybe next time we will stay at the hotel!
Be the first to ReplyModern Elegance
This modern and elegant hotel has extra plush linens and robes. Brightly colored artwork and high tech amenities adorn this hotel. The location was freeway close and convenient underground parking was appreciated. Customer service from the staff was exceptional and Joseph at the front desk went out of his way to be helpful by rushing to open doors and getting me some ice, since I could not figure out the techy ice machines. Too bad, the rooftop restaurant had limited days open, so I could not experience the food and view there. I am looking forward to staying at this stylish hotel again. Hopefully, the pandemic will be a forgotten nightmare, so I can experience the full services provided by this luxurious hotel.

I never post reviews but this hotel really pushed my patient and I felt the urge to do so.
Stayed one night with my family early July 2021, applied my suite night award to get an upgrade on the floor right underneath the rooftop - oh god, it’s the worst DOWNgrade I’ve ever had as a Lifetime titanium member. I didn’t know that suite night award could upgrade you to the saddest room you can imagine . My family usually can sleep pretty easy with noises, but it felt like you’re in a box, with elephants stomping above you. There are many other problems we had that I’m not going to waste time to outline here, my suggestion, please find other hotel to stay, even if you have to drive farther.
Long story short, filed complaint to the front desk with no resolution (well, they offered my family to move to another room at 10.30pm or later, which at that point I’d rather move to another hotel as moving room is practically asking us to pack all stuffs we had in the room). Told the director Mher Khacherian will call me next day. Waitrd next day until 5pm, no call from Mher. Then I called Marriott around 5ish as I didn’t get any response from the hotel, to file a complaint. Then called Mher and left vm, and he returned my call around 6ish saying he had a busy day and just had a chance to call. Spoke at length on all things that went wrong to him, and shared feedback for improvement based on what I observed. He appreciated my feedback and said he’d return my suite night award and my points. I assumed all of these were done, but to my surprise, he never did anything he said he would.
I called Marriott to follow up around 2 week of August to follow up, and today I checked - my suite night award came back but the points were not. Just called the hotel again, spoke to the manager on duty who said would check the status with Marriott and return them. She said Mher is no longer working at that hotel now.
As I said earlier, if you like to party and appreciate loud noises, this might be a good place for you to stay. Otherwise, I suggest to find another hotel. It’s so sad to say so, as the property itself is great design wise - it’s modern looking and we love the architecture. However, it’s not worth the sleepless night to stay at this hotel.
Also, I will not feel safe to bring my family anywhere near this hotel given that we’re still dealing with covid, knowing how the hotel manages the health and safety risks. That evening, I went upstairs to the rooftop, to find people enjoying hookah and talk loud to each others. I’m not a health expert but I am guessing the droplets are spreading all over the place. Not only that, people in the rooftop are using the same elevator as the hotel guest, so practically we were sharing same isolated space of elevator, where the folks coming from the rooftop did not wear mask, a bit drunk, and talk loud while I was in that elevator. I’m happy I was safe afterward, but I would not return to have the same experience ever again.
Great Rooftop
Was my first time visiting the Hotels Rooftop, recommended by a Friend. And boy was he right. The Rooftop itself is very big, the full size of the building with I think three section (Lounge with sofas, dining area and bar and a Hookah section) . The menu has a great selection of sharable items such as Flatbreads etc, but they also have a live sushi bar with a great selection of fresh made sushi! The Cocktails are had crafted (shout out to Ben M.), I had the "Mezcalito" with fresh passion fruit (see picture). The wine selection is well chosen and you can find something for every taste buds and wallet size - Oh you want Opus One by the Glass - well here you can have it! I do wish they had some sparkling wine by the glass though, I love my bubbles! Our server was very nice, checked regularly on us and made sure to stay in communication about our multi-course dinner.
All in all a great spot to view the Sunset and have great night.
Gorgeous, Panoramic Rooftop Views
We had a delightful time at the new Glenmark hotel in Glendale! The new hotel has clean, modern vibes and boasts a great rooftop restaurant with stunning, 360-degree views of the mountains and city. All throughout dinner, we couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the views were, in every direction we looked. It was the perfect place to sip cocktails and take in the beautiful sunset. They have a fun menu as well, with lots of sharable plates and a build-your-own seafood tower selection; we started with the oysters this time but will have to return for the lobster and crab. The service was friendly and attentive and you could tell they wanted to make sure everyone has a wonderful time. We will definitely be returning soon!
