Misi Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year
I'm not sure how I've never gotten around to reviewing Misi.
With some degree of reliability you can now snag a bar seat here later in the evening on off nights, and yet it always feels like you've lucked out. The open kitchen adds to the ambiance. I've tried most of the vegetarian options on the menu, and I always go back to the occhi and tortelli despite their somewhat comparable flavor profile, both heavy on creamy cheeses (mascarpone and ricotta). Both are exceptional pastas. I recommend skipping the much hyped ricotta crostini. It looks pretty but the dish is honestly too rich, and you're better off saving your appetite for pastas here.

Finally got to try Misi's pasta tonight, I give our meal a well-deserved 5-star rating, but the service was terrible. I felt we were ignored the whole time. Our server came and took our order quickly after we were seated, and he was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, but that's about it. After he took our orders we did not talk to him until it was time for desserts and then the bill. Dining room is cute but a little loud. We started with the roasted tomato and their famous crostini, and shared two pasta dishes: Sheep's Milk Ricotta Filled Occhi, Bottarga, Lemon - which was out of this world creamy and lemony - and Chitarra, Braised Lamb, Pepperoncini which had little braised lamb. Double Chocolate gelato was good.
The whipped ricotta crostini is whack and you shouldn't
The whipped ricotta crostini is whack and you shouldn't order it. Is it pretty? Yes. Is it literally a slice of toast with plain ricotta on it? Yes. It's also impossible to eat without smearing cheese all over your face. You will love this if you think black pepper is spicy and you think food tastes better after you take a picture of it. The pasta mains are are delicious, and considering the location in Brooklyn, you might even call them reasonably priced. We went with the gnocchi sardi and the linguine. The gnocchi have an exceptional texture and the pork sugo is incredibly complex. You have to eat it slowly to really enjoy it. It would be my top recommendation for something unique and special. The linguine was simultaneously familiar and brand new. Think "linguine with clam sauce" except what's that little something? It's not quite clams and you didn't think anchovies tasted like this. It's a crowd pleaser and you will want a second plate. I bump it down to second place, because this is another dish that's pretty easy to replicate for the hobbyist cook. At the front of the restaurant, large windows let in a gorgeous view and natural light. The amount of space between tables is cavernous by New York standards - I could squeeze between two tables without putting my butt into the next table's ricotta crostini (but if you got a dump truck you'll have to take the long way around). Unfortunately, the minimalist aesthetic means there is absolutely zero sound dampening. In fact, the design choices likely make the restaurant even louder. It makes for an unpleasant dining experience all around. Misi is not appropriate for you if you have any food allergies whatsoever. The menu is not labeled for allergens, and the descriptions DO NOT include all the ingredients. Thankfully, the servers are very knowledgeable and they will be able to tell you what has what. That's where the "thanks" end. They take "no substitutions" to a level of petty I haven't seen anywhere. My dining companion could not eat dairy. Looking at the menu on the website, there are multiple items that do not list any dairy ingredients. The server explained that for multiple items, the dish receives a shaving of pecorino, parmigiano, or similar cheese. It's apparently impossible to not sprinkle cheese onto a plate before service. I get it, substitutions are a pain, but they would not do this to you in Italy. So, while the pasta was indeed delicious, the atmosphere and the management (chef's ego? I don't know) make this a one time visit. I'm not saying you should turn down an invitation if your friend gets you a reservation, but I'm saying maybe you shouldn't be upset about not being able to snag one of your own.
Each dish was such a wonderful surprise.
Our hostess was so fun and helpful while we waited for our table - shoutout to Ellie! Made us feel so at home.

Such a beautiful atmosphere & the pasta is to die for- everything made fresh + in-house (say less) We took our 1yo son and they were very accommodating with a chair that hooked right onto the table! We loved everything and 10/10 would go back. Their in-house bitters in their spritz drink are also delicious.

Now I know why it's so difficult to get a reservation! Best pasta we've had in NYC in a looooong time! We got a last minute notification from Resy that there was a table available after being on the wait list for 3 weeks. Immediately I confirmed. We arrived early but were seated pretty quickly. The place did not seem full as we saw tables available most of the evening. Food was amazing and service was impeccable. This place will have a star soon if not it deserves one for sure! They did not have the whipped ricotta which was a bit of a disappointment but all of our dishes were fantastic!

I don't crave Italian food often, but this might be a place I actually want to go back to. We managed to secure a res at a random time and I was excited to try the whipped ricotta toast. I would say that the hype is somewhat warranted. It's really good - creamy, cold, rich, and decadent to complement the warm crusty bread, and paired well with the umami mushrooms. Is it something I could make at home, probably? Would I? Probably not, which is why the hype is only somewhat warranted because though fairly simple and probably overpriced, it is good. The pastas were all very yummy! My favorite was the sheep's milk ricotta ravioli - it was light and lemony. The spinach tortellini was a bit too salty. The rigatoni was good but nothing special. Overall, I enjoyed misi. It also had a spacious modern vibe which was cute!

Tortellini, olive ice cream, ricotta bread are musts! Kind servers in a busy restaurant. Food here is really good I would highly recommend to come in a group of 4 to try everything !

Dined here for Friday lunch, used Resy waitlist alert - we ordered the artichoke appetizer, which had a great herbacious sauce, 2 pastas to share which we thought were rather salty and the pistachio dessert which was full of pistachio flavor (10/10). Was a little disappointed in the pasta but if you're in the area, would be a fun place to try
A complete swing and a big miss as far as I'm concerned.
Ordered two appetizers, neither of which have been completely thought out. The mushroom appetizer was boring in great measure. The sautéed leek with chili could've been good, but was stringy and hard to cut. For an entrée I ordered the Bucatini pasta which was dry and worth about $12. Service is good and attentive and they put a lot of money into this place but so far it looks to me like it is a complete waste.

If you are anti Israeli war crimes, anti genocide, or just anti overpriced italian food cooked by a zionist - do not eat at this place. Their founders are donors to israel and issued a bs statement that "nobody deserves to feel unsafe" - of course they would never care about Palestinians as they struggle to survive an "unsafe" genocide everyday with 30,000 dead. BOYCOTT.
Overall a good experience, chic environment, stylish food.
Not sure if it's worth the hype but def not disappointing. The olive ice cream is great, and ricotta bread is bum!
Pretty flavorless tasted like unsalted butter but maybe
Pretty flavorless tasted like unsalted butter but maybe others who don't need flavor in their food might enjoy it .. however, there was great service and we loved seeing the chef's cook!
Popping place.
Walked by a few times and finally got a brunch reservation. Delicate little pasta dishes definitely its selling point. You can't get orders to-go because they want you to have it fresh. We were seated at the bar and it was fun as a girls date. The non-alcoholic drink options are great. Would recommend!
Overall (4.
5/5): Finally a NY Italian spot that is worth the hype and pleasantly surprised how much better it was compared to their sister restaurant Lilia. The service was welcoming, checked in consistently, and had great recommendations. We sat at the bar and it wasn't too crammed and would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Ricotta Toast (5/5): Lives up to the hype! 60/40 ratio of cream to bread and the bread was crunchy and well done with olive oil. The cream itself wasn't too cheesy, very light, and worth the lactose intolerance pain Grilled Artichokes (5/5): I was shocked at how much I liked these, and think it was the light pesto dressing that brought together all the flavors. Perfect portion for sharing Spinach Tortilini (4/5): I like brown butter so this was incredible but expect it to be really buttery. Spinach wasn't too strong and I thought it was cooked nicely Linguine (5/5): Star of the show and can't get over how good the tangy flavors worked together and the breadcrumbs was the best add for crunchy texture. Pasta was cooked al dente and I'm dreaming of it still Gelato (Milk and Almond Flavor): Good gelato but nothing special, I'd want to try the other flavors next time

Had lunch at Misi this past weekend to celebrate an anniversary! Although it was pouring that day, we made it to our lunch reservation. We were seated by the bar where we could see a group of ladies making pasta in a separate room. The restaurant was pretty full with only a few empty spots. After reading many reviews we ordered the classic ricotta toast, spinach and mascarpone tortelli, the butternut squash, the chitarra with braised lamb and the olive oil gelato. Ricotta Crostini with Trumpet Mushrooms - the ricotta toast is pretty bland by itself. Ask for chili flakes because it adds a nice pop! And combined with the trumpet mushrooms, this app was eaten easily and quickly. Butternut Squash - was not a fan of this one! There's an unexpected citrus marinade which I did not appreciate. Otherwise it's grilled well and very soft. Chitarra, Braised Lamb - very average. The lamb was well seasoned and tender but the pasta was ordinary. Tasted like something you could make at home. Olive Oil Gelato - a nice touch to end the meal! It's so smooth and creamy that I wish we could have had a second helping! Overall, pretty good! Would recommend the creamier pastas over the tomato-based ones. Wish we ordered the sheep's milk ricotta filled occhi instead. Also, the restaurant is pretty out of the way as the closest subway stop is a 15 min walk. We came just to try Misi but we'd only come back if we found ourselves in the Williamsburg area again.

i tried getting a reservation weeks in advanced but they were booked. but we were lucky to find a last minute reservation at 5pm and took it. dont try to walk-in as even the bar seats are reserved. the atmosphere was so elegant. the staff were good --not too friendly, not rude either. the food was so delicious but i didnt love the mushroom appetizer and the lemon ravioli. but the desert and cacio e pepe was devine.
Misi is good but I do not understand the hype.
It is a fancy pasta place so I do not quite understand the long wait and reservations. I'd say the dessert was great.

- Misi is incredible and is a must check out pasta spot in New York City. I have heard of all the hype and was curious to check out this spot. We were able to score last minute reservations during a week night. The ambience is welcoming - well decorated, dimly lit and busy. We were seated immediately. We ordered 2 appetizers, 3 pastas, and 2 desserts. Here are my thoughts by entree: - Whipped Ricotta Toast: On its own, this is a little bland - I did like the cool, airy ricotta on the crispy hot bread. This item comes with a side of oyster mushrooms - once you add this and a little chili flakes the toast is awesome. The mushrooms have a really delicious rosemary sauce that they are served in - delicious! - Romenesco - This was a cooked down cauliflower dish with herbs, spices, and sauces. I loved this - so flavorful. Ate this with my ricotta toast and it was amazing. - Spinach Mascarpone Tortellini - absolutely delicious, the sauce was ao rich and the pasta dumplings themselves were so tasty. This is a must get and was a table favorite. - 50 clove pomodoro - All dente rigatoni in a red pomodoro sauce - standard but really tasty, the pieces of cooked down garlic melted in the mouth. Wish the red sauce was a little more flavored but this was also solid. - Butternut Squash pasta - we were told this is being removed off the menu (and rightfully so) the pasta was flat and there pieces of breadcrumbs and butternut squash- this dish was no where near the others, would skip - Almond and Chocolate Chip Gelato - both delicious, so refreshing and creamy. Would love to come back to try out more of their veggie sides, pastas and more gelato flavors!
Excellent service.
Food is great. Sitting at the kitchen counter is a great experience. Gives you a first hand look on how much effort is put in by the staff in preparing the meals.

This spot is very good, albeit I think it's a bit over rated. This is more a function of the hype than the restaurant, as it is very good. We split a dew different pastas, has the appetizers as well and a sparkling red wine as well. I would definitely come back
Lived up to the hype
I’ve been seeing pictures of Misi’s iconic ricotta toast for years, and decided to finally check out the place. Overall, it was an awesome dining experience. We sat at the chef’s counter, which I highly recommend. The ricotta toast was creamy and scrumptious. The braised artichokes were also very fresh and delicious. Tortelli was quite good as well, though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the anchovy pasta (even though that was our server’s recommendation). The ultimate star of the show, in my opinion, was the olive oil ice cream. I’d make the trek out to Williamsburg all over again just for that.
Misi is a big YES 🙌
Misi is outstanding. Me and my family went to this restaurant for dinner and we couldn’t have left any happier. We ordered exactly 8 plates (including entries) and they were ALL absolutely delicious. As for the ambient, it was great. Cozy atmosphere. The service was incredible indeed! Our order was rapidly delivered and our waitress of the night Leandra was delightful! We’ll surely look forward to visiting Misi again. 10/10 Pasta recommendations: Fettuccine Tortelli Occhi

Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
