Having seen this on Mikey Chen's channel before, I knew I had to give this place a try. Alas, I finally had the chance when I noticed this chain at the Dekalb Food Hall. I ordered the Folded Cheeseburger and Rib Eye Minute Steak for my boyfriend, which totaled to around $30.You can order takeout/delivery and eat outside at the hall, although I saw a party eat indoors. The food took a while to make, but that's how you know it's fresh! Upon taking a bite, I was in love. The delicious fatty beef was too good, and I'm sad I ate it too quickly to fully savor it. It lived to its name, as it did taste like a cheeseburger, but I must say, BETTER than an actual one. In addition to tomato and pickles, it also had a spicy kick to it that added to its uniqueness.Unfortunately, the beef was super salty if you eat it without the pita, which will happen since the meat is overflowing at first. The minute steak is even saltier. But good!Presentation was on point, taste was phenomenal, and I would totally try their other pita sandwich options.

Miznon's pita sandwiches are more expensive than the average pita sandwich. That said, they are also (1) better and (2) juicier. These things have the habit of literally squirting juice out the sides when you take that first bite. Don't do it near your wife because she may take the brunt of it, and then she'll be pissed. Or go for it if you don't mind if she gets pita juice all over her...I don't want to insert myself into your marriage. So far I actually prefer the ribeye minute steak and the chicken over the candy steak, but I've yet to really have one I was sad about. The pita is super fresh and fluffy, the sandwiches are painstakingly constructed with pickles in every bite (not always the norm, as it should be), and the marriage of the green hot sauce with the tehina? Perfection.I also highly recommend the bag of green beans. They are absolutely drenched in olive oil, lemon, and salt, but it makes them very tasty indeed. Even my kid will eat them. I do wish whoever prepped them wouldn't slack so hard though, there's often stems left on the end for no reason, and I feel like someone dropped the ball there.

I've been wanting to try Miznon for quite some time but then the pandemic hit and it's been tough to stop by; elated by their participation in the NYC Restaurant Weekยฎ To Go program this year, I placed an order through Doordash and:1. Their Restaurant Week special (Pita + Vegetable for $20.21) wasn't available but since we were already looking, we went ahead and ordered the dishes as separate items.2. Got the ultra hyped Original World Famous Baby Cauliflower dish but it was underwhelming -- overcooked, soggy, really just a whole, roasted cauliflower that lacked in flavor.3. Got the Falafel Pita but the falafel was so, so, so dry; the tomatoes, pickles, and sour cream were all pooled at the bottom of the pita.4. Also got the Rotisserie Broken Chicken Pita -- out of the 3 things we had, this was the best dish; not worth the $13 though.Given all this, I'd still like to try this place out IRL one day, especially since the pandemic's been rough for everyone. For now though, I wouldn't place another take-out or delivery order with them.

this place has always stood out to me because of their "world famous baby cauliflower". but, they truly deserve the hype for their other food. this location is located inside dekalb market hall; when you get off the escalator, it's a few feet in front of you to the left. -if you want to place an order for pickup or delivery, then you can do so through their website. make sure you select the right location!-i'm unsure if they accept cash, since i paid with card.-since you're not allowed to dine inside the building, you'll need to find somewhere else if you want to sit down to eat. my friends and i found a couple of blue tables outside, near albee square. -the worker who took my order did a terrific job of describing the menu options. he told me how they cook their candy steak pita step by step, and it was more than enough to convince me. his energy was just so positive, and it was some of the best service that i've ever gotten.11/8/20-the original whole roasted baby cauliflower: i was hesitant to spend over $10 including tax on this, but i decided to go for it anyway. i liked how they baked it enough to have a slight char on top. i could taste the touch of oil that they added to this, but i felt like it started to lack flavor once you got to the bottom. the seasoning was mostly on the actual head of the cauliflower, and not evenly distributed throughout. i expected it to be dry, for some reason, but it thankfully retained its moisture throughout. the downside of this is that there really wasn't anything special about it. it tasted like the typical roasted cauliflower that you could make at home, except bigger. i do appreciate how the portion was pretty big, but i just didn't think it was worth the price. (3.5/5)-candy steak pita: this was absolutely life changing and one of the best things i've ever eaten. the inside of the pita had overnight sliced braised beef brisket, aioli, mustard, pickles, onions, and tomatoes. the brisket was high in quality, and cooked to the perfect texture; it was crispy on the edges, but chewy and tender on the inside. every single bite taste like heaven; the flavor of everything inside paired so well together. i really couldn't get over how good the aioli was! the pita was also freshly made warm, and it was the best pita that i've ever had. i was taken aback at first because it seemed small at first, but it was actually so filling. they added a decent portion of brisket too, which made it worth the $13.50 without tax. they also added a side of roasted peppers, which were delicious. (5/5)overall, i wish i could this place 4.5 stars! i definitely would've rated this place 5 stars if i had just gotten the pita; spending the extra $10 on the cauliflower still doesn't sit right with me. i would undoubtedly come back in the future; the quality of their food is truly out of this world. my favorite that i would recommend that you must try is their candy steak pita!

We got a candy steak pita, avocado and egg pita, and cauliflower. There were 2 big problems - the avocado was underripe and inedible (I had to pick it out), and we received green beans instead of cauliflower. When I called the restaurant they apologized and told me they were out of cauliflower. ย They should've called me before changing my order. Then they said they would have an employee follow up with me about a refund for the avocado. I never heard from them again so they get a 1 star review. (Updated to 3 stars because they granted me a refund later)Steak pita was ok, there were some fatty bits we had to eat around.

Be the first to ReplyI love Miznon since it opened in Chelsea Market.
I remember the first time I somewhat skeptically tried a baby cauliflower. Now it's all bout that floret in rice, crust, and all types of low carb forms. The Miznon in Dekalb Market hall delivers the same food cravings. They have a particularly big space to fill in the market which will hopefully someday be an option to eat in. It's like eating in a cozy cave, away from the bustle of a multi stall food hall. The soft pita pocket with your choice of savory filling is one of my favorite meals. I don't particularly like the Lavan cauliflower option here (too smushy like a puree instead of what I'm craving, a crispy flavorful bite or two). The cheeseburger and the brisket options were great and satisfy my meat craving. The mushroom filled pita is also excellent and particularly umami. They do deliver via the apps but right now in the last month of 2020 they're giving you a discount if you Apple Pay anywhere in this food hall on the weekend. So if you happen to be here and have a craving it won't cost you as much as you think.

I've tried all of the NYC locations. The folded over cheeseburger is fantastic. I've always thought the American burger bun is a bit lame. If you love 'em... more for you :)They use a delicious pita. This a great bread solution. Fresh bread for the win! Fresh everything at this place. This is my new treat spot when visiting the area
