I plan to return soon and have already recommended to many friends. This is the definition of a diamond in the rough! Hidden within Liverpool station, Moshi Moshi is shockingly beautiful upon entering and escaping the hustle of the station. With it's unique seating and layout, it would be the perfect date night location.I brought a large group to Moshi Moshi, and the team was fantastically supportive and flexible to our needs and reservation process. They weren't phased when our numbers continually changed (even night of) and they worked with our limited budget. We were able to get a meal (not just 1 sushi roll) for £14 or less per person.I'm excited to go back without the budget limitation to try some other items.

This place is a bit difficult to find, but once you are there it is really nice. I sat at the bar with the conveyer-belt and helped myself to the sushi / sashimi passing by. Some of the plates are very similar colours but prices vary drastically. So be careful if you're on a budget, as I got caught out. I think this may even be deliberate. What I loved more than the sushi was the hand rolls. I ended getting a few of those as they were so nice. (Visit - 27/07/2015 Lunch)
Be the first to ReplyI love Moshi Moshi.
I went on a date there and it was the perfect place for it. Located in the famous Liverpool Street Station, Moshi Moshi is always packed for lunch (almost impossible to get a table), but is pretty calm by dinner. Getting a table for 2 on a weeknight was not a problem. The food is spectacular - I had the beef teriyaki and it was sublime. It's small and overlooks the train stations. Prices are reasonable, especially given the location. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I cannot wait to eat here again!

I really like the layout and the location is hidden, discrete, and deep inside Liverpool street station. It has that allure affect, probably the fact its at a bus/ train station, tons of people around and unsuspecting. Great place for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The food is decent, however it was late in the evening, what I first look for in a good decent sushi restaurant is the temperature of the sushi rice, slightly above room temp, and how neatly they pack or shape their nigiris and sushi rolls i.e. symmetrical - usually I find its a good first indication of the restaurant and the chef making it. Here I rate it 6 out of 10. It wasn't bad, but tasted better. The service was quick and attentive, but the service can be improved, its the type of service you would expect at a large chain restaurant, which slightly brought down the allure I was talking about earlier. The price was city prices, considering its location, I would say fair. To summarise, I do like the restaurant, nice little gem, but would love to see it improve on food and service, to get a four star from me.

We arrived here during the busy lunch hour in a group of eight, without any reservations. But our hostess was gracious enough to find us a place, and that too fast.Ordered a bunch of drinks. The macha milkshake did not go down too well, but that was a matter of pessimism preference. The curiosity cola, on the other hand, was refreshingly different. Our waitress was patient and explained to us what some of the dishes were. The food was good too. Almost half of us went for the katsu curry. They serve it with pork instead of the usual chicken, and I prefer it that way. The presentation was fantastic too. The tonkatsu came in a nice box. Loved the place, and would definitely go here again.

I go here at least a few times a week for lunch or dinner as it is right next to my office. Great sushi and value for money. Actually tastes like fresh fish with no fishy aftertaste that you find at other nearby sushi joints.

A nice place, quite authentic, though a little expensive but that's less of a surprise when you compare it to other places in the area. Food great, staff pleasant, I went for the sushi bar with conveyor belts was not disappointed.

Really not impressed with this place, food was below average and the service was not great either. We were sat at the window-side seat, and the windows were dusty, pigeon faeces and feathers on the other side, it was rather disgusting. The server kept bothering us, asking if we would like to order something else (not in nice, attentive way, more like Order more things! Order more things NOW! Kind of way). Rice of sushi was overcooked, which is a big no-no for sushi.Tane of sushi (=the toppings) were small, thinly-sliced, knackered and clearly not fresh but frozen.Shouga-yaki (ginger pork) was over-seasoned, with under-cooked courgettes. And when we received the bill, for the quality of the food, it was surprisingly expensive!Could've gone to a proper Japanese restaurant, like Roka, for a little extra. Would not be returning there. There are much nicer sushi available in London!
