Perfect Meal
We have had a wonderful birthday celebration lunch at Murano today. The food was fabulous while Ali and her team were magnificent in taking such good care of us. We will definitely be back as well as recommending the resultant as a special place to visit. A massive thank you.

The service was first class and friendly. I had the ยฃ50 3 course lunch - loved the ox shin croquettes and beautifully cooked pollack. Nice scicilian wine and and extra ยฃ8 for the 5 cheeses.

Honestly one of the nicest meal experiences we have ever had. This is not our usual eating world and was a once in a hardly ever treat, however, the staff made us feel like regulars. There was no heir of superiority or element of patronising even when it was clear we were a long way out of our comfort zone in such a wonderful establishment. It was so relaxed and friendly. My son is a trainee chef and the head chef George invited him into the kitchen and chatted to him for a few minutes despite a very busy service which blew his mind. He was then presented with a wonderful gift at the end of the meal which he hasn't stopped talking about. Thank you for the personal touch and for giving us ordinary folk an experience to never forget.

I took my wife and daughter for an evening meal and it was truly lovely, the staff were attentive, the food was excellent, Having our own pub restaurant we know how difficult it can be at times but they were an absolute joy, would definitely recommend!

Had 4 delicious courses, each one delicious and beautifully presented by great staff. Just the right pace too. A special meal for our anniversary. We knew the pricing so no real shocks ... 4 courses a g n t each... plus a bottle of wine between 2 Inc service charge was ยฃ330.00. The food was top draw quality prepared in a way to bring out the flavour of every mouthful. I don't think I have had such a delicious meal for a long time. Will go again when back in London.

We enjoyed a really lovely lunch at Murano. Amazing food and wine and outstanding service. Would have welcomed more pasta choices on the menu but the course we chose were perfect. We will be back and would highly recommend.

This was one of the best, if not the best, meal weโve had. The food is the most important thing and it was AMAZING. The service was great - friendly and relaxed but knowledgeable. The space feels special but not โup itselfโ. If you want to eat somewhere really special, but utterly relaxing this is your place. Just fabulous

Excellent food excellent service and a excellent location. Itโs the second time we have been here and we had a fabulous evening celebrating my partners birthday. Highlights were the venison, the halibut and the duck. The Maitre D in the stunning blue suit was a real credit to the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyMurano Love Affair
My girlfriend and I visited Murano for a Valentineโs Day treat and I havenโt stopped thinking about it since. Iโd heard good things about Angela Hartnett's restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, but the reality superseded my high expectations. There was no gimmicky Valentines Day menu which we appreciated, and so we choose 4 courses each with wine pairings from the a la carte menu. The service was impeccable and we were made to feel like royalty. To be honest, we could have filled up on the complementary bread before the real show even began. Fan favourites were the mushroom risotto, mackerel, cod cheek and venison. The wines were expertly matched and varied in style and origin (all from across the Mediterranean). Make sure you bring your big wallet or purse and really make the most of it.

We have just had an excellent meal. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We were well looked after and the food tasted incredible. The standout dish was the passion fruit soufflรฉ - I can still taste it, delicious. I was also happy with the prices. We felt the bill was very reasonable for the quality.
Be the first to Replyoverpriced and only ok food
The Mirano was overpriced, borring and poor meny, the food not even good and stiff quite atmosphere. Go to murano cafe at st james instead, much better. We were their for s family lunch, Regards Sandro arcari

Being a fan of Angela for many years it was only eight that we finally could visit on our diets child free trip to London. We werenโt disappointed. From the moment that we arrived the staff were extremely friendly efficient and welcoming. We discussed at length with the sommelier the wine list which was an interesting conversation and we chose a beautiful Chianti. The champagne we had on arrival was one I havenโt tried before and was crisp and really fabulous. The food did not let us down, every mouthful offered something delightful, the flavours were incredible, - sorry if that sounds pretentious but it did and itโs only when you taste food this well done that it happens. It was also a visual delight. Highly recommend to anyone interested in amazing food in a wonderful location. A special mention also to Victor who did a great job of serving us , well done hope to see you soon. See you again soon I hope.
Be the first to ReplyA classy and memorable dining experience
This was a family gathering, including overseas visitors, and our expectations of a high-class dining experience were not only matched but exceeded. All in our party chose the 3-course option, and the food experience was outstanding - servings were compact rather than large, allowing the elegant and stylish flavours and lovely presentation to be savoured. The standout dish was the pea risotto. The wine list was extensive and admirable, though fairly pricey. Our chosen wines were fantastic. Service levels were very high - well trained staff, and a large service team.

Just so beautifully looked after from start to finish. Amazing food and loved the staff. Had all the time in the world. Lovely service, and what we ate!! Nothing stands out as it was all really really good. Left feeling very full indeed which is always a bonus. Highly recommended. Its just a class act.

Visited here and would love to go back again Food out of this world but the main thing for us was the staff. Every one of them attentive, knowledgeable and so nice it made our evening. Lovely experience
Be the first to ReplyStar cooking without pretension
After reading such mixed reviews I am delighted to say that we enjoyed our family lunch immensely. Ally the sommelier was welcoming and besides the wines explained the various choices available on the two menus. Murano could not have been more flexible. We all had the lunch menu but chose a risotto from the vegetarian menu as a starter. Despite the heatwave the restaurant was pleasantly cooled by the a/c. Needless to say the food was first class. This is star cooking served by attentive staff and unpretentious. How refreshing.

It pains me to write this since I have genuine admiration for Angela Hartnett. I am afraid my experience was poor after a visit for my wife's birthday. The meal was overly rushed, we were on the first sitting at 7pm but the pace of the meal was ridiculous, which given the restaurant was half-full seemed a little unnecessary. A fantastic mix of bread, olive oil and ham was presented to us after the amuse-bouche was taken away. I wasn't even half way through a slice of lovely sourdough when our starters were presented. We asked the sommelier (who was very good) to pair wine with each course but the courses were going at such a speed - you couldn't drink fast enough. My burrata starter was overwhelming, far too much cheese to deal with. Everything had too much salt. The halibut was over-cooked to the point it might as well have been mashed and that was an additional ยฃ10, the asparagus with the dish was a joke, one and of it shredded could be used to floss your teeth, if you could actually get a knife through it. These were all things we could live with then the lamb (another ยฃ10 premium) came out, which literally would have needed a macerator to break it down, it was ridiculously chewy and ridiculously bitter. I rejected the dish and to their credit the 'chef' acknowledged the poor quality of lamb and offered me the Jacob's ladder as an alternative. I appreciated their offer but since my wife had nearly finished her meat course and I was losing faith I politely declined putting it down to just a bad dish on a bad day, these things happen. 5 mins later despite me declining the dish and my wife finishing her meat course, I was delivered Jacobs Ladder. When I said 'thank you, but I did say I didn't want it', they had said that regardless of that conversation they thought I should have it as a replacement (and in fairness on-the-house). It was the last straw for myself and my wife, I said it wasn't necessary and I didn't want the dish but it appeared that my opinion didn't matter. We left, ยฃ311 lighter, just over an hour into the experience (three courses, 1 amuse-bouche and 1 serving of bread in just over an hour) and bitterly disappointed. Over served, over seasoned, overly fast and very well below Michelin star quality. If I wanted fast food I would go to a chain restaurant, probably ingest less salt and have it cooked on-point - it just wouldn't be matched with great wine which the fine sommelier did, it was a shame we had to gulp it down rather than savour it. I appreciated their attempt to rectify a problem that was known to them, but if I say I don't want something - surely it is simple. Very sad day, and definitely the worst premium restaurant experience of my life, certainly not worth any Michelin star.

From the welcoming front of house, the knowledgeable staff and delicious menu. We chose the days menu consisting of our Wye valley asparagus followed by the pollack main course . Before this the amuse bouche of the focaccia bread slivers with their copa ham together with delectable extra virgin olive oil. Each morsel of the starter was bursting with taste and freshness . The main course of pollack fish perfectly cooked , mussels and a delicious sauce. The mussels were served out if the shell swimming in the mouthwatering sauce. The dessert of marinated strawberries, basil sorbet and a refreshing summer cucumber granita were very yummy. The after dessert petit fours added to the special touch .

A great new find for our group who were traveling for a day out in London. Our day finished at Murano,s which did not disappoint. The end of a wonderful birthday day for my daughter. We decided on a 3 course setting with most of the menu selected by our group so we sampled many of the choices on offer. All were extremely happy with the quality and presentation. We will have special memories !! Special mention for the Jacobs Ladder and all the staff. Outstanding.
Be the first to ReplyI would leave zero star if I could. It was the most horrible Michelin experience of my life
I would leave zero star if I could. It was the most horrible Michelin experience of my life after visited more than 50 Michelin restaurants all over the world.
Last Saturday my friend and I visited Murano for the first time, we were so looking forward to visiting as it was Angela Hartnettโs restaurant and it was a special occasion weekend lunch to celebrate my friendโs new job offer, I even called the restaurant to make sure everything would be ok on that day, but it has been ruined completely.
We have ordered a 6 courses lunch but only been served 4 courses, then suddenly we been told the table would been taken back in 3 mins. So we have to leave the restaurant without the cheese course and dessert. They said wouldnโt have time to serve us these two courses, but we had enough waiting time to finish all our bread and antipasto.
We have never been informed that there was only 2 hours and half to have this lunch, not even a reminder when we ordered the 6 courses menu or during our lunch period. If so, we could order a 3 or 4 courses menu. They said they could set up a table for us outside of the restaurant to contiue our experiences, but it was only 7 Degree outside and very windy on that day, the dessert definitely would blow away if we sit outside.
We have tried to make a complaint, but the manager told us this was always the way they treat each guest, she did not offer an apology or any other form of compensation.
The food was well presented but we found it bland and lacking taste and flavour which was very disappointing as well. Not Michelin star standard and not worth the money. So overrated!ย It was overall a very bad experience. I would NEVER recommend anyone to eat here.
Disappointed
We were so looking forward to visiting, a special occasion with friends on.
My starter was just average when I wanted to be blown away. The risotto my husband had was delicious.
My main course was excellent I had the Jacobs ladder . One of the main dishes was cold and was sent back to the kitchen.
It just took away from the evening when we all had high expectations. Especially when there is so much choice in the city.
I did give my feedback to the manager and also with the main dish being cold there was no good will gesture for example.
Amazing!! Save the pollack, just awesome.
I had high hopes, they were met (mostly). The staff were personable, unpretentious and professional. The pace of much was exceptional, the cadence between courses was exact, not too much time, not too little. The starter of pork jowel was exceptional, layers of flavour with apple sweet and sour. The pork was cooked to perfection. Maybe the best starter Iโve ever eaten. Main was pollock, maybe the starter was so good I expected more. Did it need more seasoning, something to cut through the milky pollock? Elderflower Panna Cotta dessert was sumptuous delicately flavoured and perfect texture. So, Michelin star? I can see why, the taste sensations were on another level. Good value.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with lunch here. It was just stunning on every level. Immediately impressed by the lack of fuss and relaxed atmosphere. The service and food were really stunning and wine at reasonable prices compared to many other restaurants. We had a wonderful time, staff were superb and we rolled out extremely happy!
Be the first to ReplyOsso Buco Feast - Murano come to Gloucestershire
We didn't go to Murano. Murano came to us (in Gloucestershire). We ordered to Osso Buco supper for two as a birthday treat.
Everything was delicious and easy to prepare. The arancini were the best I've had. The osso buco was cooked to perfection, and the risotto that went with it made me think I'd been transported to Milano.
The Pannetone bread and butter pudding was a fitting end to the meal.
It was good value too!
We wouldn't hesitate to have it again.
