Great quality sushi at a very reasonable price.
The restaurant itself is very plain. Tables were a little sticky. Service was fast and friendly.
Be the first to ReplyWe got edamame, hot sake, and the spicy sushi combo.
The tuna roll was really fishy, I thought the conch was really tough and the California roll was ok. The edamame was small but decent. Sake was ok. My partner got the teriyaki beef which was good, some of it was tough in my opinion. Small venue, friendly staff.
Be the first to ReplyNice sushi sport right by the water.
Great service and delicious sushi vibes and ambiance just right. Only wish no extra charge for spice mayo.

I love this place so much! Fresh sushi right by the waterfront, what more could you ask for? I also get the miso soup everytime, which is delicious and flavorful. The ambiance is great, especially with the beautiful views of the waterfront. Service is prompt and friendly, though the place can get somewhat crowded during peak times (Friday & Saturday evenings).
Be the first to ReplyDelicious sushi at awesome prices.
Delivery is always spot on and none of the sauces get squished on the lid. Edamame is never overcooked or under-salted. Miso is always just right and hits the spot.

I've been here twice now and will be back because of the affordable quality nigiri and prime location by the water. The restaurant itself has a cozy vibe, not too fancy. That's fine-- I'm all about food over ambiance if given the choice between the other. I am a sushi enthusiast (gimme the omakases!) and was hankering for some fresh wasabi, but I guess they don't offer that here. The service is alright. The first time around, I sat on the mats with a friend (pretty neat that they offer that, I've only seen it in a few izakaya style restaurants). The waitress was nice but felt like the timing was off for when we wanted certain things (ordering, receiving food, receiving the bill). The second time around, I sat at the sushi bar and was able to be helped more promptly and in a pattern that made more sense to me. The sushi chefs were friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. As far as food goes, the aburi toro is phenomenal! 3 large chunks of flame-seared toro marinated in a citrusy umami sauce for $20. The rockfish is topped with a spicy orange garnish that adds a great little kick. The salmon belly is quality. You can tell by how fresh, vibrant, and near-translucent they look. It's also my favorite nigiri! The tuna belly was good, not as marbled as I'd like, but still good. Thick, juicy portions. I'd pass on the yellowtail belly, it wasn't quite as melty-in-your-mouth as the tuna belly and salmon belly. Can you tell I love the bellies? Try them out for yourself
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered a platter of sushi roll, Fried tofu appetizer.
It was fresh and well-seasoned food. Everything was freshly prepared and it was so good. Side dishes were good too. The place was quite popular and has nice design setting. Very welcoming staff.
Be the first to ReplySmall sushi place tucked away by the water in fells point.
Compared to the other sushi restaurants in the area, nanami is my go-to because I know i can get great quality and fair priced food. The inside is smaller but whenever I go they always seem to have room. When the restaurant is busy the service does seem to slow down but it is reasonable given the amount of staff they have on hand.

I've been wanting to try this sushi spot for months, and I happy I finally did! Located right beside the water in the heart of Fells Point, this is a great spot for date, or lunch with friends. Food: I'm a sushi lover, but now that the weather is beginning to cool down. The smoked eel over warm sushi rice and radishes has me ready for sweater weather. The eel is perfectly cooked, the sauce is an umami bomb that will leave you wanting more. The pickled radishes are crunchy and tangy so it will cleanse you pallet. My friend ordered an assortment of sushi, I tried the fatty salmon and a shrimp tempura and eel roll. I will definitely return to have this meal again. Maybe even try something new! Service: Service here is great! I had difficulty making a decision because everything on the menu is tempting to a sushi lover like myself. Thankfully, my waitress recommended the smoked eel. As I stated earlier.... it was amazing! So when in doubt, ask a waiter! Ambiance: I sat outside which overlooks the water. Inside there are booths by the windows that require you to take off your shoes before you are seated. Want to keep your shoes on? No problem, they have regular tables available. Overall: The sushi here is fresh and the plating is beautiful every time. The best sushi in Fells Point!

Love love love! The vegetable yaki soba noodles are delicious! I was actually shocked the first time I tried them, but each noodle had so much flavor. The sushi is very good too! I loved the Chesapeake roll! Nanami is my new favorite spot to go to when I'm in Baltimore!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, clean and authentic little sushi place.
We love it here!! This is our 5th. Time and it is always delicious and super fresh! Definitely recommend!!!!
Be the first to ReplyI've been here a few times now and it's been ok.
It's a cute ambience great location along the water. The sushi is just alright, though. I got edamame, too, and it was just fine. Also, I went to use the bathroom and it was a half storage room + the toilet was unflushed with the seat up when I went in. The server was very nice and the service was good since I went during an off time and I was the only person in the restaurant. I would come back to try more of the sushi another time but it's not life changing.

Namani is low key one of the best and most consistent sushi places in Baltimore. This place has a great central location right next to Vino so wine can be had before or after your meal, but Namani also has a great sake and beer selection (not to mention champagne by the bottle so I that's always a win for me)You can sit at the bar and watch you sushi be made or enjoy the Kotatsu tables (and with the traditional seating you will have to take off your shoes). They also have regular tables in the middle of their space. But no matter where you sit you will get great service.I have made my way through most of the sushi menu, trying a new roll every visit and I have never been disappointed. (get the fatty Salmon!!)
Be the first to ReplyI've been a few times and the food has been pretty good
I've been a few times and the food has been pretty good each visit. The menu offers a mix of traditional and special rolls but I'd say is more skewed toward non-traditional creations. The rice-to-filling ratio is on point. The service was a bit slow when I've gone on busy nights, but maybe it's better other times or when dining indoors.
Be the first to ReplyCozy and tasty neighborhood sushi.
This isn't Nobu or Shoto - and isn't trying to be. Tables and floor seats. Friendly team. You can customize some of the rolls. Lots of veggie options. Yes, it could use a scrubbing - but don't be fooled by the casual appearance. This is some of the best sushi in Baltimore.

Nanami Cafe might be one of the best sushi spots in Baltimore. Nanami is a go-to spot for one of my friends, so we came for her birthday. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and even stored a cake in the kitchen to help surprise her. The interior is well decorated, and a few booths look like chabudai tables (the traditional Japanese-style tables close to the ground). We ordered several items to share, including one of their boats to share. All their fish was super fresh and delicious, and they even have toro! I would definitely recommend Nanami Cafe if you're craving sushi in Baltimore!

I'm so torn writing this review because there aren't a lot of sushi places in Fells Point. The prices are high (it's right on the water) so the views are great. I got some sashimi and some rolls. The fish wasn't cut well - I had skin and bones in my salmon. The scallop roll (the scallops were oddly put together as if they used different halves). I will give it one more shot since it's in my neighborhood.

This is a Japanese restaurant right next to the water in Fells Point. Went on a Friday night and they were packed and service was very slow ( we waited 25 mins for anyone to come to our table). We ordered the flaming sushi (can't remember the name) and it presented to us on a piece of aluminum foil. Given the slow service and poor presentation, I'd probably find another place for sushi.
Be the first to ReplyI came to Nanami with a group for a birthday party.
We had a reservation, but they didn't have our table ready when we got there. They seemed flustered trying to seat us, even though we had a reservation. Only gave us 5 menus for a table of 12, and took them a really long time to come take our order, and when they did, they actually only took half the table's order and then left. It was so strange. The sushi is fine, but I personally think I've had better sushi for cheaper elsewhere in Baltimore. Maybe I can see the appeal of sitting outside on the water, but otherwise, I definitely wouldn't come here again.

This place is really easy to miss - it's tucked right behind (or in front of) Pitango bakery by the water. They have great outdoor seating overlooking the harbour, and cute indoor seating with traditional Japanese style tables.Food:- fried tofu for appetizer: this was really great and I would definitely get it the next time I'm back.- we tried a couple of their rolls (spicy tuna / sunshine etc). you get about 8 rolls per plate. I did think the price was reasonable - it all tasted really fresh and they don't overload the sushi with ingredients; the seafood still comes through very well.- yaki soba vegetable noodles: for $9 it's pretty decent. Would I go back? Yes!
Be the first to ReplyThe sauce in teriyaki chicken was very watery and bland.
The sushi was very mediocre and tasted stale.

Pretty good! Small for the portion size but fish tasted fresh. There is outdoor seating. Inside is super cute. There are traditional seats by the window where you have to take off your shoes. There are also some bar seats. For a smallPlace they definitely Make good use of space. I enjoyed the rolls. We had 7 so I barely remember them by name other than I had an eel roll, Amy roll, rainbow roll.... Something with scallop and orange...That's all I remember. It was all very delicious. I docked a star for the small portion size but otherwise good service and a very busy spot. If it wasn't so windy I would have loved to sit outside. Parking can be tough here so probably best to Uber or Lyft.
Be the first to ReplyNanami checks all the boxes - really solid food, great
Nanami checks all the boxes - really solid food, great service, pretty roomy space, and A+++ location (right next to Pitango in Fell's Point)! I went just the other a day and thought to myself, why don't I come here more!! I got the Nabeyaki Udon and it was delicious - more onion than I'm used to in a typical udon broth but I wasn't mad about it. It was really filling and the perfect thing on a chilly night. They have tons of options for sushi and sashimi, and have larger servings/sushi boats for bigger parties. Overall I think the prices are comparable to other sushi restaurants in town.
