A must visit restaurant with an elegant yet cosy interior and smart but relaxing vibe. Food was delicious, excellent quality produce, beautifully prepared and presented with a very good menu of delights to choose from. Front of house were very knowledgeable about the food, extremely attentive and friendly. The Chefs and front of house clearly know how to do things exceptionally well! Loved the look of the library, please think about keeping!! One last note to make this restaurant my absolute no 1, my little dog was genuinely welcomed by the team, thank you! I don’t believe this has a Michelin star but it is as equally good on food and service as some I have been to.
Be the first to ReplyA great venue with a few tweaks needed!
We reserved a late slot for Sunday lunch which was not really a good idea as when we arrived we were rushed to order and there was limited choice available. Fortunately my wife and daughter wanted the chicken roast but the vegetarian stuffing was no more. I went for one of the beef specials which was so rare it was almost 'mooing' and for me, was inedible and as the kitchen was closing or had closed, I didn't want to make a fuss. Fortunately, my wife's chicken portion was very generous and she gave me some which was delicious. I liked the roast potatoes, my wife and daughter didn't, but other than that, it has the potential to be one of the best restaurant Sunday lunches I have tasted. There were lashings of gravy, a mound of generally well cooked vegetables and all served by excellent staff in a most delightful atmosphere. We all loved the relaxed and classy ambiance of '50 Cheyne' and the wine was reasonably priced for a very drinkable Gavi! Would we return, certainly, but possibly of an evening to sample their main menu. If I went for Sunday lunch I would book an earlier time slot and stick to the delicious chicken. Did we enjoy our visit, most certainly and the bonus is there is a delightful pub around the corner called 'The Cross Keys' where we finished the evening. A lovely afternoon all told!
Be the first to ReplyBest service I have received for a long time
I attended this location for a wedding. The room upstairs was perfect for the ceremony and then we all came down to a beautifully set restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. The best thing that I experienced here was the service. I have not received this level of service for a long time! The red headed lady that served our table was outstanding, friendly, had fun and jokes. She anticipated our needs before we knew them. Had fun with our daughter and spoilt her. The bar staff were exceptional with great drinks and smiles The managers were on form and clearly the team worked great together Well done, highly Recomended
Be the first to ReplyPretentious and unsophisticated.
Trying to be a sophisticated restaurant with unsophisticated food, unprofessional service and grossly overpriced. To be seen (sic) but not fed!
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding staff and food
The lady at reception was wonderful and welcoming. Impossible to praise her more than that. We went for the Al a carte menu, but were drawn to the Taste one instead. Glad that we did. Exceptional food, great portions and our Ukrainian waitress were altogether amazing. Great food can only take you so far, what makes the food and the venue excel are the staff. 50 Cheyne have an amazing combo.
Be the first to ReplyReally exceptional
Exceptional service, delicious food and surprisingly good value wine list (given where it is). Scallop and soufflé starters were great, the steak was exceptional. Minor gripe that the chips were a bit salty and the spinach a little dense were dealt with in a way so many restaurants could learn from. Absolutely delicious and a really great evening, hence submitting this rare review.
Be the first to ReplyTruly amazing!!
Wow, wow and wow!! The best Sunday lunch ever, we visited yesterday and we will definitely return and recommend. Don’t really know where to start, the chicken was so tender and buttery, the roast potatoes were obviously a labour of love by the chef. I have never had roast potatoes like these ever. The only thing I as disappointed at as the fact that I could not order a dessert as I was so full, next time I will make room for the apple tarte tatan.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect Location for My Small Wedding
I had a small wedding party of 11 guests. We had an exquisite meal here and the service was impeccable! Thank you to all the staff for helping make the day special! Can't wait to come back for our anniversary!

Delightful staff. Great ambiance. Fab food. Good wine list. My second visit within six months….a regular haunt in the making!
Be the first to ReplyFamily Sunday lunch
We visited for Sunday lunch for my daughter's 30th. The Sunday roast was incredible. Best we've had in London! The service was excellent, the staff were extremely kind and attentive. All in fabulous surroundings. Would highly recommend. We will return soon.
Be the first to Replywonderful evening - 4.8/5.0
Dinner with my wife and a classmate: attentive and professional service, creative menu, prices reasonable vs quality. Positive experience from the start - no issue moving our reservation back by 30 minutes (we were late), attention to my wife's pregnancy (allocated a comforable table and carefully explained the ingredients of the dishes my wife ordered). The restaurant's strength is "fancy food": perigord truffle & cheddar souffle, sole and desserts were amazing; rib eye good. Excellent wine choices, skilled and attentive sommelier (wine w just a tinge of cork replaced on the spot). Prices as expected given quality and service. Will come back.
Be the first to ReplyA delicious, if somewhat expensive, lunch..
We met up with two family members who live and work in London, they recommended No.50 Cheyne - and as were treating them we were happy to accept their recommendation. The location and premises are indeed superb, and the staff very attentive throughout - we loved the decor and ambience here.. The food was faultless and delicious, but rather expensive for what it was... especially the 15% service charge levied which amounted to £85! (although, in fairness we are not au fait with Chelsea restaurant prices).
Be the first to ReplyInconsistent quality
The first time we came in August 2022, we sat on the ground floor for dinner for 3 people and the service, ambience and food was incredible. We liked it so much we booked again to celebrate a birthday in October. We came again with a large group of 12 and were disappointed. We were sat on the 1st floor and it felt as though there were not enough staff as there were often times when there was no staff about despite there being a few tables occupied upstairs. The food was also not consistent. Several of the table ordered the cheese soufflé starter. 1 of them came out pale white instead of golden like the others. We asked 1 waiter to replace it, he promised it was fine then when we insisted he said he would get his manager. His manager didn't come till we flagged him down ourselves then also tried to insist it was fine. Eventually they agreed to replace it but would not expect to have to argue like that in front of guests. The presentation of the food was not as decorated as when we came in the summer (e.g. tart tatin did not even have so much as a sprig of mint) and my chateaubriand and tarte tatin were both not piping hot when served. Bit disappointing when you are paying £2k for a meal.
Be the first to ReplyA very quaint and quality restaurant near the River Thames!!
This was my first visit to this restaurant and had a very pleasant Sunday afternoon roast dinner – probably one of the best (if not the best roast dinner) outside of your own dwelling. This restaurant is situated in a very expensive and plush part of London running parallel with the River Thames. Surprisingly parking was no problem with ample spaces. You were received with a very warm welcome and there was a relaxed ambience throughout the afternoon. To kick off I had some bread and butter and a couple of very nice cocktails. To follow the Roast Beef dinner was a treat and of real quality. You could not in any way fault this Sunday roast. I have to say that to date it is the best restaurant roast I have had. It leaves a lot of ‘so-called’ Sunday roasts standing. The cut of beef itself, the large Yorkshire Pudding, the crusty roast potatoes, hispi cabbage etc… were of first-rate quality. Additional side dishes of broccolini and cauliflower cheese were indeed very good. Dessert - a raspberry tart was disappointing however, pleasant. The Sunday roast itself was excellent and overwhelmingly puts the overall mark of 5/5 without any hesitation and would definitely re-visit this very pleasant restaurant in the near future!!

Great service, great atmosphere and great food. Its a cosy, local spot, really worth a go. The pre dinner China Rose drink served in a delicate tea cup, how original!
Be the first to ReplyA really great experience and meal provided by outstanding staff and chef.
Exceeded expectations in all respects . A lovely room, brilliant staff, great service and really good food with a very good and flexible wine list.
Be the first to ReplyA perfect evening
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we will be back again. From start to finish the evening was perfect. From the staff who were attentive but not hovering to the food which was beautiful and just the right amount for each course. We had a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails to start with which were all very good. My husband and son had the gazpacho for starters and 3 of us had turbot for our main, one had scallops and one had the tomato and pasta dish. Everyone said how lovely each of the dishes were. Two of us then had the strawberry soufflé which i could have eaten again and two had the cheesecake and chocolate dessert which were all given a big thumbs up. The wine recommendation was perfect for all of our dishes and not overpriced. To top it all on a very hot evening the air conditioning made everything even better. We would highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Sunday lunch
Great venue and nice light space upstairs. Friendly service. Only criticism was that we ordered the beef chateaubriand @ £96 to share between two and it was a bit mean. - would have been more appropriate for one than two
Be the first to ReplyPretentious with average food
We did not have a good experience here. I entered and had to flag down two members of staff to inform them I had a reservation. Then a large party that entered after me were greeted and seated first. When I was finally seated, I was told I had the table for one hour (despite my reservation showing differently). My friend was running late and again I had to flag down a member of staff just to order a drink while I waited. The food was ok - my french toast was overly sweet and drowning in cream which made it very soggy. I provided this feedback to the restaurant afterwards and of course heard nothing. This place is clearly catering for the vacuous Instagram crowd. There are many better options in the area - one to avoid.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional fine dining in Chelsea.
Exceptional in every way. Attentive staff, beautifully created food and delightful surroundings. Highly recommend and will definitely return
Be the first to ReplyWorst service ever!!! Don't waste your time and money!
Worst service ever! Was told as I was a walk in customer (I have had a confirmed booking for 6:30pm) the table needs to be returned now when I tried to order the souflee at 8:20pm. They then changing the story that the policy was stated on the reservation email which I never received! I then questioned them why I was not informed before they sat me down! Otherwise, I choose somewhere else to dine tonight! The worst thing was the utterly disgusting hand gesture by a bold headed male staff indicating the waiter that he needs my table back right now and I can't have souflee as dessert. Alexander, the waiter was very accommodating and helpful, and sorry for putting you into this awkward situation! I would not recommend this place to anyone! Do not waste your time or money in this place! There are many places in the area to spend your money in Chelsea and the surrounding areas! I've not been treated in such disgusting way in a place where I spent a decent amount of money as a single diner! Just to highlight a cherry on this rotten cake, I was served a glass of dead flat rose champagne at the price of £19+! as soon as I sat down which I had to returned back to the bar! Alexander was embarrassed agreeing that this was not accepted as flat as a glass of rosé wine!!

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! A wonderful evening from service, to food, to drink, to ambience. Highly recommended, worth every penny.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional
Having eaten at 50 Cheyne on a number of occasions and loved the food, ambience and décor, we decided to hold my daughter’s wedding reception in the drawing room there.
Quite simply it surpassed our wildest dreams.
First the food. Chef, Iain Smith, took the time to discuss with the bride and groom to tailor a menu to exactly what they wanted and it way surpassed expectation. All guests said it was one of the best meals they had ever eaten.
The service fully matched the quality of the food. It was outstandingly professional and efficient.
Finally the thing that set it apart was the friendliness, care and attention to detail of all the staff with a very special mention to Mileva who was always so patient and accommodating and made the stressful planning process easy and enjoyable.
All in all, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for such an occasion.
Huge thanks to all staff especially Mileva and Iain.
A huge mound of brown & expensive for just a roast
So.... this place gives you vast, & I do mean vast amounts of food. There are generous portions & there are stupid amounts. I checked other plates leaving other tables & there was usually half the meal left. Surely the kitchen has clocked this - what they must be throwing away in these sustainably conscious days I dare not think. We we all had something different & everyone left a large amount of food.
They specialise in roasts - we all had a different roast & yet for each one there arrives a huge mound of brown - it looks unappealing - there is not one bit of green - peas, beans whatever - brown meat, roasted brown carrots, brown potatoes, etc.
Then lets get on to the prices - this is a roast folks - put it in the oven^& you are good to go - roasted cauliflower £26 chicken £26 - happy to pay that for something the chef has poured over but not for a roast. They do include all the trimmings - but for 4 with a bottle of wine & 2 2 scoops of ice cream the bill was £230. The staff are good .
So disappointed & saddened by such huge amounts of waste.
First rate food and hospitality
fantastic food and great service at an always reliably high standard - the grills are among the best to be found in London
