Be the first to ReplyWe booked a stay in the Eden Roc and there was an area
We booked a stay in the Eden Roc and there was an area problem with the electric affecting the Eden Roc. Keldon Young helped us and relocated us to the Nobu (a different tower - sort of a hotel in a hotel) which was even nicer. Keldon made sure that we were settled and comfortable and really made a difference. The rooms were beautiful, direct access so we could walk on the boardwalk each morning, great coffee shop in the lobby. What started off as a potential trip killer was taken care of and ended with a great weekend stay!
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I choose Nobu Miami Beach to spend Christmas
My wife and I choose Nobu Miami Beach to spend Christmas and New Years (10 days in all) and we booked their "Zen" suite which is beautiful. This hotel also benefits from having Nobu restaurant and its a member of "Leading Hotels of the World" which we frequent when we travel in the US and overseas. The hotel team led by general manager Roberto Thomae are all kind and extremely helpful, so what could go wrong? Unfortunately, the service has been terrible!! Not the cleaning staff or service at the hotel and bars where they clearly invested in people and their training. But dont try to contact guest services or the front desk, they simply dont answer. When you do manage to contact them, they promise the world, but then nothing happens. Simple things like promised robes, slippers, ice, sundries, etc, etc never show up. Nobu has a nice Spa too, but it is dirty, robes and toilet paper are hard to find, and even the staff says they are under staffed. Also, the first greeters, the bellmen and people who open the doors when you arrive, are poorly dressed and poorly trained. Compared to their neighbor Hotel Fontenbleau, or hotels in the same class like Four Seasons up the road, the Nobu first impression is quite shabby. Its not like Nobu rooms come at a discount versus these comparable hotels on Miami Beach, the Nobu rooms are just as expensive, but the Nobu hotel is not delivering the same level of services. All the above was shared with general manager Roberto Thomae when issues popped up early in our stay. He promised to make it right but after more failures he simply lost interest in trying to please. Perhaps there is no incentive to change since at least this weekend the Nobu hotel is packed with New Years and Orange Bowl guests. Readers attracted to this Nobu hotel might do better checking out other hotels on Miami Beach who can deliver on their promises. Happy new year!
Be the first to ReplyWe've stayed at Nobu before and had a wonderful experience.
We were really disappointed this time and won't be back. There is now new management and the changes are not for the better. The rooms are very nice but this is no longer a kid-friendly hotel. It shares a lobby and resort facilities with Eden Roc. The only resort benefit to pay the higher price to stay at Nobu is access to one extra pool with cushioned lounge chairs. This was just recently changed to an Adults Only pool (after we booked and paid $6K for 6 nights to bring our family here). So that pool for the first time was no longer available to us. The hotel used to have a large, great area for kids with outdoor games like large connect 4, large Jenga, bean bag toss, large blocks, etc. It was our kids' favorite part about the hotel - it was an area that kept kids away in their own spot so adults' had more peace. New management has eliminated this and replaced it with nothing. It is now an empty AstroTurf field. When asked, the manager said they don't bring the toys out anymore. They are about to convert another pool to adults only also. The manager did nothing to try to improve our current experience - she assured us it would be better in the future if we come back, with other activities for kids. Sadly, we are repeat guests (3 times), but will never be back.
Be the first to ReplyThis review is for the lobby bar area.
First of all, this is the EDEN ROC Hotel not really the Nobu Hotel... like it proclaims to be.This hotel has been here and has been called the EDEN ROC since the beginning of time or at least ever since I can remember. Not sure if you can really even get a Nobu Hotel room here... you can try... I guess. I wouldn't count on it... read the reviews.But.. none of that really matters.. I came here because it was next door to the Fontainbleau. It was an easy walk/drive over, with great parking on/near the beach and near this hotel.I walked in, took a spot right away in the desk area of the lobby, where there were lots of outlets visible. This lobby is geared for the business traveler. Looks like it has everything you need to get work done. The people are friendly and the lobby bar is convenient. The restrooms are very clean and close.I LOVE the fact that they left me alone to "do my thing". No harrassment.I will be back... I might even get a room here. That is.. if the rates are reasonable.AND... just a tip... make sure you ask if they have any construction going on... that will tell you a few things..
Be the first to ReplyWhen in Miami, I enjoy! And, Nobu Hotel definitely helped
When in Miami, I enjoy! And, Nobu Hotel definitely helped deliver the "enjoyment." Newly renovated, the rooms and lobby are beautiful. Customer service/concierge addressed me by name, which is always a plus. The rooms are spacious. Design is very minimalistic, but I think that is to be expected with a Nobu brand. The Nobu restaurant, of course, is attached to the hotel.Word to the wise -- the hotel is FAR from the action of South Beach. It's walkable...I did it, but that's because I like to exercise. An Uber would definitely be easier, especially if you're in a rush. All-in-all, I would stay here again and again. Staff, rooms, everything met the standard.
Be the first to ReplyDuring my stay the hotel was under construction.
Front entrance they're working on the handrail, masking and sanding. There's also equipment along the front entry, and is draped off. Not appealing first look. The whole hotel is in need of repairs. It looks neglected. For the money it is way overpriced. I went to hotel 1 last year and it was not much more then nobu but 10x nicer. The gym is smelly. Smells like mold. Finally I realized why it smells so bad. They have a big leak in the gym. There was water on the floor from the leak and a bucket catching the water. I kept telling my wife, man it smells really bad like mold or water damage. Well now I know why. See photos. Overall this hotel is a hard pass.
Be the first to ReplyNo way.
..never againOverpriced and horrible. It's a spring break vibe hotel and utterly shit
Be the first to ReplyHeadline: Nobu Hotel in Miami does not meet minimum
Headline: Nobu Hotel in Miami does not meet minimum expectations associated with the Nobu family.Context:I booked a night at the Nobu Hotel & a massage treatment after the spa confirmed that as a guest of the hotel I could enjoy the steam room for the duration of my stay. My goal was to treat myself, unwind, & set intentions for the rest of the year.--------What went wrong:1. Upon checking into spa, I was informed that the steam room was not working (even though the day before when I specifically called, they said I could use it)2. On the way to beach- none of the employees seemed to be clear on where I could get towels for the beach/pool (we ended up finding our own)3. On way to get morning coffee - the employees directed us to a totally different (and wrong) area of the hotel to get our coffee (like how do the employees not know basic things about the hotel grounds)4. When it came time for yoga (which I was very much looking forward to) the employees seemed to not know anything about it (i.e. some said it was cancelled, others said it was on, others said it was in one place, and others said it was somewhere else)5. When I went to return my yoga mat to an employee - his response was that he didn't know what to do it with. And when I asked what I should do with it- he said "eff it, why don't you just keep it"?! I ended up leaving the mat on the ground near him, and it was legit still there when I left later that night (outside, rolled up, never put away- I would not be surprised if it was still there to this day)6. I called for a toothbrush, they said they didn't have any in the hotel - but then later when I saw housekeeping & asked - she had one. I went all morning without a toothbrush7. I called for a 2nd bathrobe and a blanket (we were cold) and they brought a sheet instead.8. My girlfriend arranged a late checkout for us. When I went to get my key extended - the front desk said there was no note of a late check out even though she had definitely spoke with a team member and had all the right details/etc.9. At the restaurant (Malibu Farms) the host asked us to wait at the bar for our table (she said she would sit us in a booth with a water view). She walked by us many time and my girlfriend said "hey we are sitting here just so that you see us/know where we are". Like maybe 1 minute later, she proceeded to give our table away that we had waited for & when we asked what happened she was very rude & abrasive and said she called our name so many times and that we didn't respond - but we didn't hear her bc we were sitting where she asked us to sit!10. On the way out - after all our things were already packed up we realized that we didn't have any lotion and asked the spa for some lotion. They literally got on walkie talkies asking if they had lotion, if they could give out lotion, etc. - when meanwhile it is a spa! of course they have lotion and as Nobu Hotel guests we were entitled to using spa services & amenities (including a pump of lotion if we well pleased).--------What went right:- Views and location- Pool and overall maintenance inside and outside- Breakfast at the Malibu Farms was very yummy- The managers when notified of what was going on, did their best to make it right at the spa, the restaurant, and the hotel overall------Overall, the hotel operated in a highly uncoordinated fashion and as a guest, I was disappointed (and irritated) with how much personal work/effort it took from me to make sure things were right- which was not my job as a guest of Nobu hotel.Likewise, especially given we are still in a health pandemic- the lack of care and concern for hotel guests (and even the hotel itself like with the yoga mat) was alarming. Like if they acted this way in my face when it came to simple things, imagine what is happening behind closed doors- like are they even taking things as important as COVID standards, etc. seriously?

The first full day there housekeeping stole my credit cards! Not worth the headache and personal violation! Management and hotel security did the bare minimum to assist. Stay somewhere else! Beware! Hotel full of thieves!
Be the first to ReplyWe were a group of five and booked three rooms.
The service was great, we are extremely satisfied..Valentina and Roberto were exceptionally professional and hospitable. The bar closes quite early compared to the bar at Fountainbleu. The hotel is pleasant a little more on the quiet side. The adult only pool is not big, but there is three more pools. The beach area had a lot dump trucks moving the sand from one area to another area so we opted to go to the beach by south beach. Overall it was a good stay at Nobu. I will definitely consider returning.
Be the first to ReplyI have some really good things to say about this hotel.
First and foremost NOBU sushi delivered to your room !! It doesn't get better than that. Next - the rain shower - our child wanted to keep taking showers for the first time ever. Speaking of children - this is not necessarily a hotel for children. I would also like to say that the employees are so friendly and helpful. Guest check in was an A plus. Now the downside - worst music piped in everywhere - it's terrible - every song has the same beat and I understand they are not trying to offend anyone but seriously get creative and it needs to be turned down a bit by the pool especially when no one is there. My last biggest complaint are the beach chairs. They give you two - no umbrella - and charge you 90.00 for one chair and $30.00 for a small umbrella. - so there you have it . NOBU hotel in a sushi roll - this hotel deserves a 3.5 almost 4 - can't beat the service
Be the first to ReplyRooms, halls, and lobby bar are zen and luxurious.
The exclusive, adults only pool reminds you that you're on vacation. Nobu restaurant is to die for, and Katy at the front desk offers great, friendly service from check-in to check out
Be the first to ReplySales is VERY hard to reach and I was advised they are
Sales is VERY hard to reach and I was advised they are completely sold out; however, online I can book rooms.I guess they just don't want nor need our business. It's a beautiful hotel but lack in Customer Service.Eden Roc and Nobu is completely sold out every weekend in November but you can book on third party websites.Being a previous VP of Sales for Hospitality I know how the process works as well as Revenue Management strategies.I would not recommend this hotel if you would like to plan an Event 7 months in advance.
Be the first to ReplyNobu Hotel Miami and Restaurant is a real mistake.
Terrible service at a premier price. The operator never answers the phone 15-20 minute waits for your car (but they charge you $54 a day for that "service"). $30 for an "order" of chicken which was 2 small skewers. Then we came back to a room with no towels and no robes. Stay at the Ritz Carlton instead.
Be the first to ReplyI asked the attendant if there was a place to eat inside
I asked the attendant if there was a place to eat inside NOBU hotel. She said breakfast was over 11:00 and lunch start at 12pm, But I was In The Front by 1050/11am , So I Soon Realized This was incorrect when I went over to Oceans Social and had breakfast breakfast ends at 11:30am. Sat for about 10 minutes no one asked me if I wanted a drink or food. When I asked the waiter he told me wait. I had wait for about 40 minutes for my food I ordered potatoes on the side they came out 30 minutes early What a terrible experience... ps the time Is Now 11:53! I normally stay at a different hotel when I visit south beach. Just wanted to give NOBU a chance for my business and it failed

The nobu hotel is a nice hotel located right on the beach in Miami. The nobu hotel shares the same location as Eden Roc. Nobu has its own designated pool and terrace area. The hotels pool and location were perfect, the room and waterfall shower were peaceful and nice. However idk if this hotel is 5 stars. It is more Eden Rock than Nobu.
