Finally got to try this place while staying in SF.
Pretty good options for Mexican food with a twist. The drinks were good and they have a variety of tequilas, if you're a fan. The service was friendly and very attentive. I had the huarache de huitlacoche and my husband had the pozole and wagyu steak taco.

So I did get food to go just had too long of a week so just recommended to me by an Uber driver and shout out to him!!! The menu was not too extensive so I appreciate that I decided to go with the pozole rojo boy was it tasty I'll say it's not as tasty as the pozole from the market in Mexico City but I'm not in Mexico City!!! I appreciate that they included all the proper accoutrement that is required for a proper pozole. Super great spices and flavors the cuts of meat were great I could have used a little more hominy but that's okay I also ordered a side of their homemade tortillas boy highly recommend those they were delish. Also for a later on snack I got some chips and chose two of the salsas as shown in the pictures the pinky one I'm not sure if it's the medium or hot it's a little garlicky it's an interesting flavor the red one with seeds is absolutely flavorful and fantastic. This restaurant does a great job with to go food it was packed up I have to say one of my top 5 to go packaging

I've never eaten anything short of delicious here. I love the order from your phone process which gets things buzzing to the table right away, plus it takes away the "split the bill" saga bc everyone just orders, shares and pays. Extra friendly staff every single time. This place doesn't miss.

I went late in the evening because I was craving something sweet. Their champurrado and hibiscus concha were delicious!! I did not try their food, but if it's anything like their dessert, then it's amazing. The staff was also very helpful, the woman was able to tell us about their different dessert items before we chose.
Be the first to ReplyNopalito is absolutely phenomenal.
It holds the top spot as my favorite high-end Mexican restaurant in all of California. I stumbled upon it on Hyperflyer and often opt for delivery from there when I can't dine in; they offer better prices and don't tack on additional third-party fees like some other platforms. While the food is undeniably fantastic, with numerous reviews attesting to that fact, don't overlook their drinks! They're truly outstanding and offer a unique taste experience you won't find elsewhere. The service and atmosphere are equally exceptional. You really shouldn't miss out on this gem. Give it a try--you won't be disappointed.

This adorable brunch spot is quite popular, and for good reason. Despite its small size, it's bustling with activity. We visited on a Sunday and indulged in several of their vegetarian dishes, all of which exceeded our expectations. To cap off our meal, we savored their delectable flan, rounding out a perfect brunch experience. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing our overall enjoyment. We can't wait to return!

Really enjoyed trying Nopalito! Huge portions and nice outdoor seating area with heat lamps. We ordered: - totopos con chile - mole poblano de pollo - pozole rojo Totopos con chile were well flavored with a bunch of toppings and not super spicy. Mole poblano de pollo and pozole rojo were both huge portions, well seasoned, and meat was tender. Overall, we enjoyed Nopalito :)

We ordered the Totopos con Chile, Quesadilla Roja, and Mole Poblano con Pollo. The Totopos were a bit dry, and we wish that it had a bit more toppings--cotija cheese and onions. The quesadilla was huge and packed with extremely tender pork belly! Lastly, the chicken (the thighs were a little dry) was covered with a nice blend of mole and salsa. The Horchata on the other hand--Regular (Almond-flavored) and Strawberry--was incredibly tasty and packed with flavor. The cinnamon-sweet milk drink was to die for. This is an absolute must-try! Last thing worth noting was the outdoor patio area was really nice and a perfect vibe for brunch on a nice sunny day. Overall, Nopalito is a nice Mexican restaurant that fuses various Latino cultures. Definitely worth stopping by if you're around!

This place is so good! We sat in the covered patio, which was very nice with greenery. The service was very quick too! I loved the appetizers that we got, especially the chips. I ordered the sweet potato tacos which were so good! I also ordered the Mexican hot chocolate (forgot what it was called). As a chocoholic, I was in heaven, it was so nice and chocolatey! I like that it was vegan. I wish that they had a bit more options, as my husband likes to order burritos or fajitas when he goes to Mexican restaurants, but he was satisfied with his dish too. Great place!

Be the first to ReplyTrendy but casual bougie LatinX spot.
Overall, food is beautiful but lackluster and not impressed with service.Arrived about an hour before close for a quick snack, grabbed a seat at the bar. Place was packed late on a weekday so I imagine reservations are mandatory on weekends.Food's appearance was amazing. I ordered the cauliflower al pastor and ceviche tostada.Cauliflower came out in a rich orange sauce with slices of mandarin and a sprinkle of cheese. While the sauce was great, the fruit taste typically found in Pastor didn't cut through and the cauliflower was a little undercooked, lacking the character or snap that I was expecting as it was a little soft and overwhelmed by the sauce. The tostada came with marinate fish, cabbage, avocado, etc. as expected. The actual base was so thin it may as well not have been there. The fish was decent although the texture was slightly less flaky than I like for ceviche. The sheer massive amount of cabbage overwhelmed the dish however. While it added some crunch, usually the base fills that role and its watery flavor diluted the fish taste. The avocado/guacamole was also a little liquid and overall the dish was so overpowered by the lime and cabbage combo that it really wasn't that flavorful. Very disappointing. While I had ordered at the bar an hour before close, I didn't get anyone to come by to fill my water or check on me outside of initially giving me my drink (bartender) and dropping off food (wait staff) until I had been long finished and was about to close my tab.

This place has a lively ambience and a parking garage next-door. You have a choice it seems between ordering your food per person or family style and we went with family style as were a party of five. Separate checks is also easy as they use one of these QR code online ordering systems. We had to wait outside for our table, but they have some outside seating and you can order a glass of wine from their takeout window which we did. Mexican food was quite good and I would say there are some dishes that are next level. I'm not a fan of Molé in general but this Molé sauce was really pretty good. Here is a picture of what we ordered. Nothing was left over.

excellent tacos. decent service. Our son's wishes were met despite the lack of a kids' menu. a region with lots of eateries.

From the expertly crafted Margaritas on to the unique and crave worthy nachos every dish we ordered was fantastic, each with their own delicious twist . The Mole was truly the best I've ever had , the quesadilla was more like a giant crispy bites style taco - unlike any quesadilla I've seen , lastly the Carnitas were prepared in a more traditional way ( to perfection ) and well worth having . Each server we had was knowledgeable regarding the preparation of both the cocktails and food , they were friendly and courteous. The restaurant was sparkling clean as were the restrooms...A giant plus - They have a parking lot

Heard a lot about this place from friends, so wanted to try it out while in Haight! The ambiance was very nice and the heated patio was clutch; we just walked in with no reservation on a Sunday night. The menu is pretty small but everything is decently priced, however the portions are smaller so you end up ordering more dishes. My favorite dish was the ceviche tostada! Nothing really blew me away though. Service was super nice!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a real treat.
The collective and friendly approach to serving is highly efficient without rushing customers. The set up and decor offer a tasteful balance of modern, casual and understated, especially considering the high quality dishes. Crispy chips and fresh guac are perfectly paired with the house Margarita. El Caldo, light broth chicken soup, comes with a chili that when split ads the right level of heat without ruining the intended taste. La Trucha was baked to perfection, and Las Carnitas so tender and well presented in a shell of fine paper. This is fresh Mexican food at its best! We'll be back!
Be the first to Reply3 stars for outdoor dining service 3.
5- 4 stars for food This Latin cuisine located by SFs DMV, offers pretty authentic food and fresh made tortillas. (Big plus!) The pulled pork was okay - perhaps the team was having an off day .. but I'd give it another chance as the rest of the foods (chicken mole in particular ) was excellent - and came served w those fresh tortillas for your own mole tacos. Whatever you order, I recommend getting an extra side of salsa and crema. Margaritas? 45$ for a pitcher serving 4. Better off ordering individual ones for variety.

Not sure why this place is so popular because the food is just ok. We came as a group of 4 and put ourselves on the written waitlist and waited around 20-30 minutes for a table. Nobody comes to take your order and you have to order via a QR code that you scan with your phone. I wasn't a fan of my quesadilla roja as it had way too many chicharrones, plus I thought all the food was overpriced in general. You would be much better off getting Mexican food in the mission, but I guess the ambiance and drinks here are the bigger draws over the food.

I do not recommend this place, since I feel it was an abuse of trust they will charge me $30 more than due to my receipt, when I realized that, I called, and I think the manager Angel and he said that they would do something about it, 3 weeks have already passed and they did not communicate...It's not the amount $, it's the trust they have and come and take the money! I am a chef and I love going to restaurants very often and more $$$ and they have never had any dispute like this... you can take that money I hope you enjoy it but I don't recommend this place.Thank you

One of the best restaurants in the city! My grandparents and I come here on special occassions or just to enjoy a nice lunch and every time we visit the service is impeccable and the food is AMAZING! By this point we've tried all but a few dishes, and we are always happy! The atmosphere is incredible. I can't get over how kind and attentive the staff is! Everyone, even the kitchen staff as they have a somewhat open layout, is always happy and friendly and that always makes for a wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommend especially for those carnitas!
Be the first to ReplyI happen to take a chance and try this place.
I was pleasantly pleased on the flavor and quality of food. Definitely would be coming back here again
Be the first to ReplyGood but pricey.
The carnitas was $26! Don't think they used any special exotic ingredients hat would make it so expensive. Would take a date her or family for a nice lunch but if I was just craving some Mexican food can't justify the price.

I got the cartinas here and they were good but definitely not worth $26, which is absurd for the small portion. I also felt like it was way too oily and salty, just not for me. My friend got the chicken mole and said it was pretty good so maybe try that?

$32 for some of the most flavorless and dry carnitas I've had. Really not worth it and wouldn't recommend this place at all.
