Spot on Italian ambience, made me feel like I was dining in Italy. Their wine list was extensive and their servers had a vast knowledge of the menu. Their mushroom pasta was amazing as it had fresh porcinis, the pizza was good, although it was hard to compete with Joes, but their caponata may have been my favorite dish, as it was so unassuming but perfectly balanced sweet and savory. Would be happy to dine here again!

Be the first to ReplyThis place is a gem.
Lovely decor, great service (all thos Italian speaking guys!), and the food is really tasty. We spend summers in Italy, in various areas and this is as good as it gets.Go there. Now!

This place is adorable! The interior and staff are very friendly. The menu is great. I'm partial to Italian food based off the county and I love this mid-southern inspired Italian menu. Arancini was a tad over done. However the house pasta (traditionally named "Norma") was fantastic- super Al dente which I appreciate! Will def go again!
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely try this restaurant.
Service attentive. The four of us tried a variety of Italian dishes and enjoyed each one. Great Negroni.
Be the first to ReplyWarmly greeted for a late weekday.
Atmosphere was warm an inviting. Restaurant was not busy, but they sat as at a tiny two top. Wine recommendation was spot on. Food was excellent with generous portions. I highly recommend the Pasta alla Norma.
Be the first to ReplyTime and time again, Norma's delivers.
...and I don't just mean delivery. Every time we've had Norma's, whether dining in or delivered, just for two or for a large group, the service, food, and drinks are always consistently good. We've had:Arancini (rice balls)I don't think you can go wrong with any of the four options, but my current favorite is the Ragu. Sizeable and shareable, delicious and tantalizing for the main course.PizzaSo many good options here, too, but the two most notable are the Diavola with spicy salami, and the Margherita, which is simple yet made extremely well PastaPasta alla Norma and the Lamb Tagliolini are the favorites all around for their pastas and the Taramisu finishes it all off nicely. I was even more surprised when the pasta, arancini, and taramisu held up extremely well when we had them delivered - tasted like it had just come out of the oven / kitchen, yet packaged perfectly. While the cocktails are good - Norma is definitely about the food. They've also got a significant wine list, too! While the service is on point and the ambiance is nice, what keeps me coming back is the amazing Sicilian cooking. Definitely recommend, and great for a date night, too.
Be the first to ReplyGood food.
Cute place. Decent people, servers. Will go back and try other items on menu.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food.
Feels like you are in Italy. Staff is top notch - so welcoming, warm and pleasant. Would 100% recommend!
Be the first to ReplyThis place has so much potential, but regularly disappoints.
Overall food is great, but regularly have problems with food being undercooked or cold. Service is hit and miss. Sometimes good, but have also waited 15 mins for water and witnessed cooks and waiters get in yelling fights....Hope they figure it out, could be great.
Be the first to ReplyFood was amazing and very authentic Sicilian.
Atmosphere was cozy and service was outstanding. Thanks Alessandro for the best meal we had on our trip to NYC.
Be the first to ReplyI don't get the hype of this place.
Sicilian food isn't high end Italian food, but the prices here make it seem that way. We dined inside and it wasn't busy. We had the carpaccios and eggplant pizza. It was more out of curiosity since the outdoor seating is always busy. We don't like the narrow sidewalk dining. Anyway the pizza was overcooked, not hit because it was sitting there and the eggplant didn't taste fresh. Same for both of the carpaccios.Alessandro was our waiter was totally inattentive. We waited a long time and our saw our food waiting to be brought to us. He didn't care because he was talking so loud to another table bragging that his mother is Norma, so he's not working his tip obviously. Still no excuse for shoddy service. Bad food and service equals not returning. This is NY so many better places for Italian food.

Absolutely go here! Delicious Italian food, great wine, and beautiful decor. We had a lovely server who was quick with delivering food to the table and the right amount of attentive.
Be the first to ReplyWhile the pizza here can be very good, the unspoken
While the pizza here can be very good, the unspoken policies of the owners leave much to be desired.Case in point: Recently I saw an African-American man (dressed as a woman) dining at the restaurant. An expensive bottle of wine was ordered along with some food. Then a second bottle of wine. The server, suspecting was about to go wrong, (based on skin color, attire or sexuality, NOT by anything that they had done to that point) called the police. The police arrived and despite the fact that no crime had been committed, sat in their patrol car in front of the restaurant. Our dining patron went to the restroom and was inside for over 15 minutes. Upon exiting the restroom was presented the check. "I can't find my credit card" the diner remarked, and was promptly arrested.Point being: This is akin to Stop and Frisk, a policy no longer (supposedly) practiced by the NYPD. And while the NYC police dept. should NEVER have entertained any of this, we must find fault with the owners of Norma for instructing their staff to call the police when someone doesn't look acceptable. Do NOT patronize this establishment.

I ate here on a busy night and it was fairly packed but I felt safe because they checked my vac card and ID. Once seated and the waiter came over, he was not wearing a mask and neither was one of the busboys. I should have left but decided to take the risk and stayed. However no restaurant patron should be left feeling they out their health at risk not matter how good the food is. Management should be more attuned to what their staff is doing and stand firm on behalf of their dinner guests.

Food was very good and service was excellent, so she came back to my place after for some fun :)

Consistently scrumptious appetizers, pastas, pizzas, and dessert. This frenetic restaurant makes you feel like you're back in Italy and the waitstaff make every dining experience memorable. Wonderful wines, charmingly casual decor, and a fun vibe throughout. Great for a quick date, family meal, or ordered for delivery!
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, excellent food.
Shared two desserts that were outstanding. Looking forward to going back!
Be the first to ReplyGreat addition to the neighborhood! Terrific Sicilian
Great addition to the neighborhood! Terrific Sicilian food that is not offered in your usual "run of the mill" Italian retaurants around town. The cocktails were also special. The burrata was incredible creamy, the sardine and raisin and fennel pasta very hearty and the arancini out of this world delicious. Nonna's lemon cream tarta for dessert really hit the spot. Cannot wait to come back. Wonderfully friendly and accomodating and patient service also. Five fully earned stars, at a price that does not break the bank.
Be the first to ReplySoooo good!!Came here for a Sunday lunch with friends.
Ate outside in their outdoor seating area. Variety of Italian dishes to choose from, not to mention good selection of wine & beer. The pistachio tartufo was the highlight of my meal. It was really enjoyable. Service was impeccable too, highly recommend

Belated welcome to the neighborhood! This spot takes me back to Naples. The rice balls, tuna salad, pastas, and desserts are all delicious. I ordered a pizza once which had great crust but awful toppings (I typically love pecorino but I guess there is a reason it's not the cheese of choice for pizzas... combined with anchovies, I just could not do it), so I will stay with the more conventional pizza options from now.
