A great resort right off the strip
I loved this hotel! It isn’t on the strip but I didn’t feel like it needed to be. It had everything you would need, restaurants, bars, shops, ice cream, coffee, and gambling. Multiple pools, entertainment space, and the rooms are great and very modern with all the extras. There is a resort fee but you get extras with it such as 2 for 1 drinks. And hold up, the big thing for me, free parking! That is rare this close to the strip! I would definitely stay here again. I enjoyed my time here.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding hotel and complex if a bit far off the south strip
Virgin Hotels was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in recent years. The room with two queen beds that I had was just the right size for me and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food at the various restaurants in the complex was top notch, and it was very convenient to have a Dunkin Donuts on premise. My favourite restaurants were Casa Calavera, which had an amazing Sunday brunch, and Todd English Olives, which had a delightful happy hour. The Kitchen at Commons Club offers evening specials that are reasonably priced. The staff at this hotel and its restaurants are extremely friendly. My room was tidied up every day without fail, no matter at what time I left. The light features on the door module for do not disturb and making up the room is a great feature. The only thing about the hotel is that if you're planning to be on the south strip all day, it's a good 20-25 minute walk. For me, that was a bit too far. I will be likely to return to Virgin Hotels if my stay does not involve going to the strip each day or if I want to indulge in the many pleasures of the hotel, which would include its pool and resort area, which I could not use in February.
Be the first to ReplyVirgin Hotel Las Vegas - there are better options
It’s a decent property but I can’t see staying here again. The front desk staff lack knowledge of their system, are incredibly slow, and take minimal effort to welcome guests. Even though they’re affiliated with Hilton, they complain that they’re on a different system. They charged my deposit multiple times, could not figure out how to allow room charges, and recommended I just return to the desk when someone else was working or call to straighten things out. They require ride-share to pickup off site. There are so many better options in Las Vegas for the same price range.
Be the first to ReplyGreat staff and great rooms!
Really great staff and rooms are super comfortable!! Enjoyed the Pizza place late at night and had a blast playing blackjack. All of the dealers were super friendly and easy going. Valet staff was friendly and helpful also. Nice smooth checkin as well.
Be the first to ReplyWould give 5 ⭐️ but was lacking in minor accommodations
Beautiful property and room. Very friendly and courteous with check-in/check-out. However, was very disappointed to not have a fridge, microwave and more trash receptacles than those in the toilet closet and powder room. Very comfortable couch, bed and pillows. Loved being able to screen mirror the television for entertainment.
Be the first to ReplyWhat you'd expect from a Casino Hotel
There is nothing that stands out about this hotel. It has fine rooms, long walks (through the Casino) and is clean. I thought it was quiet the first night, but both the second and third I got woken up by others- once a guy taking a call in the hallway, and the other time an amourous couple nearby. The view from my room was nothing special (toward the strip) and the layout of the room was ok. There was a sitting area, which was nice to have, as well as the beds. The bathroom layout was weird, with the door SO big you couldn't close it without sitting on the toilet. And no shelf in the shower, so you have to store your shampoo on the floor. I was there for business, so my rate was the per-diem rate set by the feds ($120 including resort fee) so it was a good deal.
Be the first to ReplyNice place to stay off the strip
Stayed here to visit daughter at UNLV. Hotel is off the strip, no fee for parking. Rooms were large and clean. I was uograded to a suite with a small kitchen area, but there was no microwave or refrigerator. Weather was chilly during my visit, but I'm sure the large and distinctive pool area would be loud and hopping during warmer days and nights. Be aware, there are no real casual dining options in the hotel except a small pizza place. Overall, we'll likely stay here in the future, rather than the MGM Signature.
Be the first to ReplyGreat rooms, not so great location
Great room product as well as some cool F&B outlets such as the Thai Night Market and after dark ice cream parlour. Unfortunately the location is terrible though, you can’t walk to anything within even 15 mins of the hotel. Basically have Uber everywhere.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely hope to be back,
Loved the quiet facility (we were in the Ruby Tower). The rooms are great ; comfy beds and pillows. So many electrical plug-in options, great smelling toiletries, and your staff was super helpful and always kind. Definitely would come back.
Be the first to Reply21st Birthday bash
We brought my niece for her 21st birthday and it the accommodations were clean and modern. The beach club was clean, and the vibe was on point for the 21-year old's and us a tad bit older lol. Definitely will stay again,
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Off-strip Option
I wanted a hotel that was a little more laid-back than the hotels on the Strip. This place was perfect. I was in Vegas completely solo for one night. Wish I could have stayed longer. Check-in at Vegas hotels can be a pain with long lines. But not here. I got checked in after only a few minutes. With my Hilton Diamond status, I was upgraded from a standard king to a trendy and spacious king suite in Ruby Tower. Bathroom was huge. I love that the suite has a little entryway separated from the rest of the room. I ate at two of the restaurants, and they were both delicious. Casa Calavera was my favorite. Had the shrimp tacos. Tiny, but really good. In my experience, the staff here were all stellar. Even just passing staff in the hall, they always gave a friendly hello. The only problem I experienced was that I couldn't figure out how to work the rainfall shower. I honestly think it was broken because I tried everything. Fortunately the wand worked fabulously; so no harm, no foul. I can definitely see myself staying here again next time I'm in Vegas, and the fact that there are no resort fees will likely make this hotel my very first choice.
Be the first to ReplyDirty, old and stinking hallway and room
The Canyon Tower where we stayed in was stinking from the hallway to the room.. our room smelled smoke when we enter even though fd said all rooms are non smoking.. the ventilation was not good at all coz we can smell the smoke from the Casino and from the room beside us who where smoking on our 1st night (should have strict implementation of non smoking in the rooms). The room has very dirty carpet with a stinking feet smell, sofa is dirty too.
Be the first to ReplyDehydrated and hungry in the Desert
This hotel could be so much more, but their policies are ruining it.. The hotel states a strict no outside food or beverage policy at the pools. I have stayed at many nice hotels before I appreciate that rule so that crowds of people don't show up with their own coolers. Recently I was there with my wife and two children. Despite seeing numerous people around the pool with their personal water bottles or koozie'd beers my family was singled out and told we could not bring water bottles into the pool area and that our options were to use the drinking fountain or purchase bottled water from the bar. No cups were offered and in fact the bartender told me they are not allowed to give them out unless you purchase a drink. They force you into buying water or getting up every time you want to take a drink. In 105 degree weather that is INEXCUSABLE. To make matters worse service around the pool is very slow (but isn't it everywhere), but the hotels no food policy even extends to restaurants and service locations IN the hotel. I have stayed in many nice hotels before and this is an absolute first for me. My young children needed an afternoon snack so I went to one of the fast casual restaurants onsite (literally 150 yards from the pool) and upon returning to the pool I was told that they must eat those items outside of the pool area before coming back. Just plain ridiculous. Recommendation is stay away from this hotel if you plan to spend any time at the pool. It will leave you frustrated, hungry and dehydrated.
Be the first to ReplyBiiiiiiiiiiiig Hotel
Key points This is a huge hotel the walk to my room is exhausting. The hotel is clean and not in disrepair. The attendant will bring you extra towels, shampoo. Cocktail waitresses are friendly but overwork. The doorman Gets frazzled. CVS is across the street. Workers appear to not have training working with disabled. Some workers lack hospitality training. ADEIT, Moment of Truth require reeducation.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible Response
I had a business conference meeting but had to come back early due to the fact I was not feeling well. I had to call twice to make sure my extended booking was cancelled, at check out they said it was taken care of, but on my app it said it was still active. I still ended up getting charged for a night I didn’t stay. It only appeared on my statement a few days after. I called and got in touch with Kathleen who said a manager would call me to correct it. Two days later still nothing so I had to call back to ask again. This time finally got a manager Scott who said it was taken care of and it would fall off in a few days and apologized and hung up. Worst customer service ever received and usually a Hilton would add points or something for your trouble, very disappointing I wouldn’t stay there again.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Wife Birthday Stay
I would highly recommend staying at this resort hotel, what an amazing experience we had to celebrate my wife's birthday. David G and Danny W both were outstanding and took care of every detail for us. They did amazing. The room was spacious, very clean and beautiful, the beach pool was a lot of fun and perfect for our son to play in the sand. If you considering this hotel, I would recommend you do. You will love it.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful, but boring
We arrived on a Wednesday and the hotel was dead. The only thing to do was go to a restaurant, the pool, or casino which had less than 20 people in it. No entertainment- all closed. Beach club- closed. Only a couple of shops. The resort schedule of events offered only 1-2 things to do on Wednesday and Thursday which didn’t start until 8. The pool was a dud as well. We weren’t allowed to bring our water bottles in the pool on a very hot day. There is no place to get water in the pool area except to purchase at the pool bar for $3:50. After purchasing drinks from the pool bar- we asked to refill our empty glasses with ice and was told it would be $3.50 for ice. You have to leave the pool area to walk up to the bar to purchase drinks and then the gate guard initially refused us to re-enter with our drinks which were obviously just purchased at the pool bar in Virgin tumbler cups. A couple kids in the pool were told they could not play with a ball in the pool (which was not crowded at all). A very boring first day! The hotel itself is clean and beautiful with great decor

I enjoyed every moment of my stay and this was my first time as I usually stay at The Cosmopolitan or Venetian but I am taking the Virgin Cruise in Sept so I thought while I was on a very short jaunt to Vegas I'd reserve a room after flying directly from work (Southwest Air) Justice at the front desk was amazing with his customer service and I had an issue with the 1st room so he put me in another and it was fantastic whereas I met Concierge Lueena? but their was another unfortunate issue inside of my room and when I reported it she documented it immediately. The Beach Club was great and fun, the Commons was terrific and your staff was so helpful when I had questions. I am looking forward to coming again and when I do I'm coming to stay at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas as the rooms and vibe were just as wonderful as The Cosmo in my opinion I am telling all of my Co-Hearts at Southwest Airlines all about you.
Be the first to ReplyA nice place to stay off the strip
We stayed in a suite in the Ruby Tower, which was a great size for our family of four. The room was immaculately clean and check in was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful as we needed oversized parking for our travel trailer. This was accommodated and we felt the parking was safe and secure. The pool was very nice and relaxing. Just a few quibbles: The “wall” between the bedroom and the bathroom was a pane of glass. Thankfully there was a curtain you could pull closed, but it was still a bit awkward. If anyone gets up to use the restroom at night, the light from the bathroom shines through. We could not get the rainfall shower to work. The room did not have a coffeemaker, or a fridge beyond the minibar. We brought a small cooler for our snacks. Housekeeping was unresponsive to our request for an extra towel. After repeated calls and waiting an hour and a half, my husband went downstairs to complain, where it was sorted immediately.
Be the first to ReplyFANTASTIC First Experience for a Virgin Hotel!
Now, I know this one is a weird Virgin property since it is also a Curio Collection property, but still! We had been wanting to stay at one of these for a while, and recently got stuck in Vegas a few days and decided to enjoy our few days. This is super close to the airport AND the strip. Like, if you really wanted to, you could walk to the strip if it wasn't prohibitively hot out. Check in was long due to checking in on a Sunday night during a concert on property, but the receptionist was perfectly lovely and informative for our benefits on property due to being Diamond with Hilton.
The room was wonderful! Seriously well designed. We had a double queen Strip View room (originally a king but the upgrade was for a double queen) and it was so comfortable and super smartly organized, and all the little touches made it one of the best rooms I've ever stayed at any hotel.
The food options here were varied. If you didn't want anything in the resort, there are so many great options within walking distance of the property (I recommend Fries n' Pies!)
If you don't mind staying off the strip, this is a great option! Especially if you're a Hilton Honors elite member, it was a lovely experience and I didn't want to leave!
A welcome improvement from the old Hard Rock
I've been looking forward to staying and experiencing the new Virgin hotel since they made the announcement a couple of years ago. Recognizing it being a 4th of July Holiday weekend, I expected a busy and chaotic hotel. However, it didn't feel that way. I checked in on July 3rd so avoided some of the mass arrivals the day prior. The hotel recognized my Hilton Honors Diamond status and upgraded me to a beautiful one bedroom suite with strip view in the Ruby Tower. I recommend staying at the Ruby Tower. It is in the back side of the hotel, close to the gym and pool access but it also provides a separate check in/check out desk (which I learned after I checked in at the main arrival desk). The room is very well designed. The gym is very large and well equipped... there is a wonderful juice bar next to the gym with delicious smoothies. We tried a couple of the restaurants and the food was delicious. The pool areas were obviously very busy over the holiday weekend but able to find chairs to lay down. My only angst with the stay was one illogical hotel policy. I purchased a couple of smoothies at the hotel juice bar and when I attempted to take them in with me to the pool I was told that I couldn't since "outside food & beverage isn't allowed".... this wasn't purchased outside as it was at the hotel's own juice bar but apparently they only allow purchases at the pool bar. Extremely ridiculous and irrational so plan ahead. Otherwise, I would go back and stay at the hotel since it's more quiet, intimate and off the strip (but not too far)... and can earn my Hilton honors points. The team members were also very friendly and accommodating. Lastly. not having to pay the ridiculous resort fee is also very helpful and provides great value.
Be the first to ReplyBlown away and coming for more!
Loved the exciting, lively vibe! Beautiful decor, nice variety of restaurants, awesome pools with great drinks at the bar, and lots of live entertainment options throughout. Hotel room was spacious, had unique decor, amazing view, comfortable bed, and more amenities than expected.
Be the first to ReplyNo Thank You - Do not stay here!
The toilet hardly flushed for the 4 days and 3 nights of our stay in the Opal Tower. Every attempted flush caused the sinks to gurgle. I called several times and only once did someone come and attempted to resolve the issue, but it didn't. I was told the "Resort Fee" for one day would be removed, but I was still charged. Found out you have to call and request for your room to be cleaned, which from the condition of our room was never cleaned before our stay. Long black hair could be found through out the room along with lots of popcorn and NOT our hair all through the bathroom and shower. When we returned to our room on the 3rd day we found a giant dirty boot print on our bed. If I had to call for housekeeping, then why did we get a knock on our first morning asking if we needed anything? I told them yes, towels and PLEASE run the sweeper as we were leaving. And....nothing was done BUT she took the $5 I left on the bed.
Be the first to ReplyReal mixed level of service
I encountered some amazing service and some really crappy service at this hotel.
First, Virgin Hotels seem to use (or not use) an e-key system where you can use your phone as your key. While standing in the very long front desk line I was notified via text that my room was ready and given the room number. Spoiler alert, there are two towers and the text didn’t mention which tower I was in and there was no room with the number in my text. I found a maintenance man and asked him if he knew which tower my room number might be in. He was kind enough to take me up to the floor he thought it might be in. There was no room with the number I had so he called the front desk and they said they don’t use the app that I received a message from. What?! Why, then would I receive a text that my room was ready and given a room number?!
I was forced to stand in the very long front desk line again. By this point I’d had an hour of my time wasted.
The woman who checked me in was apathetic at best when I explained my exasperation of receiving a text and trampling around the hotel looking for a room that didn’t exist.
No room coffee options and no room service options. That wouldn’t be a problem if the lines for getting a simple cup of coffee or breakfast in the morning were ridiculously long in the hotel. Pro-tip: walk the block down to the Dunkin’ Donuts down the road. No wait.
The staff at The Theater venue where I saw a concert went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in the venue.
The bartender and waiter at the Mexican restaurant were also efficient and great service workers.
Stay away
The room smelled of sewage for 3 days and multiple calls were made. Could not bmeven eat in the room the smell was so bad. No one did anything to make it right or fix the issue. I did not even receive a call back. I did call twice.
