Quality and world class
Cutting edge service, superb tasting menu, insane wine pairing. World class service. Amazing drinks. A well oiled machinery. The kitchen is exquisite. Italian ambiance, Italian quality. If you want beers and burgers this might not be the place for you. Location is splendid, central and my the tube. 5 star all the way.

A wonderful 6 course tasting menu - flavour, texture, presentation, attention to detail, all served by a delightful staff with an understated theatrical flair. A truly memorable evening.

Outstanding epicurean experience at Omer. We enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu which is to exhaustive to write about. Sensational wine list and a wonderful, cosmopolitan staff. Bravo!
Be the first to ReplyGood food, poor service, no atmosphere
Food was very good but service was disappointing and maybe even a rude. The main waiter was not accommodating and a little condescending to guests in our party. It looks like they were trying a little too hard to be a Michelin style restaurant but they didn’t get the balance right between food and service. There was no atmosphere in the restaurant.

Very special place. 8 course taster was incredible. How they come up with these meals I’ll never know. The staff were second to none. Knowledgable in every aspect. Can’t rate it highly enough. Special memory, thank you to the staff for being so kind!

I visited Ormer with my friends last Saturday 21/01/23 and I have to say it was one of the most amazing meals and experiences I have had in a long time. We had a drink at the bar before our meal and the service and cocktails were amazing! When we finished our cocktails, we were brought to our table by Lorenzo who welcomed us so warmly and hands down made the experience so memorable! We opted for the 8 course tasting menu along with wine pairing. Every course was intriguing , tasteful and perfectly executed, showcasing a great deal of skill and precision from the Chefs ( and major kudos to the creativeness of Sofian the exec chef who designed the menu and created such a masterpiece) ,The wine perfectly complemented every course and the Sommelier (Serg I believe his name was) was interactive and so knowledgeable. Overall, from the service , attentiveness, cocktails, wine and of course the food , I can’t stress enough how everyone needs to experience Ormer at some point! Hats off to the chefs , the kitchen staff , the front of house , Serg and Lorenzo for making it such an incredible experience !

I'm sorry this is a bit late (September 22) but I need to get back into travel / Trip Advisor mode !! . A remarkable 6 or 8 course tasting menu and a terrific range of wines (often by the glass) We were told there are only 30 covers an evening and that certainly showed: the quality of the service was excellent throughout.. Lastly, although there are wine pairings , they have an expert sommelier and if you aren't sure what to drink with a particular dish, then ask him !!!! We got a recommendation of Madeira with the soft cheeses : absolutely spot on. This is expensive of course but very much worth it for an anniversary or big birthday. I guarantee you will not regret it. And at my wife's request, we went in privately hired London Black Cab. Terrific experience !!

This is by far the best I have ever experienced not just the food, its the full package the service was so on point. The staff were all friendly & professional without being over the top. We went for the tasing menu everything was an experience of tastes, We have been to a few 5 star hotels for dinner & tried tasting menus which have all been good but I can honestly say this is the best. Go for the tasting menu you won't be disappointed

This is an amazing experience for food lovers. The standard is 3 star Michelin, magnificent food, beautifully presented and served graciously. Every course unique, magic from start to finish. Surroundings tasteful, staff very professional and knowledgeable. We didn't want the experience to end! I cannot recommend the experience more highly.

My partner and I had a great birthday dinner at Ormer Mayfair. The dining room is beautiful, Art Deco style, and pleasantly quiet. On the London dining scene, more often than not you are forced to shout to be heard across the table! Not at Ormer fortunately. Service was outstanding, professional (getting rare these days…) and friendly, not overbearing, perfect balance. The staff contribute to the relaxed yet classy atmosphere. And the food & wine were amazing! We had the 8 course menu with Prestige wine pairing. Beautifully presented plates and you get pleasantly surprised by innovative dishes such as the warm Jamon Iberico jelly, the sweetbread in pear & walnut mustard or the cod and clams in Yuzu blended foie gras! The Prestige wines were a great mix of classic French grand crus and most interesting discoveries from Italy, Austria or South Africa. Not to mention the 30-year port wine on cheese! Altogether a fantastic evening! This place is Michelin star material. We look forward to returning on another occasion.

We've eaten here 3 times; this was our first experience since Shaun Rankin has left and I ahve to say, it was by far the best. We opted for the 8 course tasting menu which was exceptional, honestly breathtakingly good. What sets Ormer apart is the service provided by staff - I found them to be enthusiastic, polite, unpretentious and wholly knowledgeable about the food they were serving. We came here for our 10 year anniversary and they made it truly memorable day. Wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend

I've been with my girlfriend and we've been so pleased to be there! They work on the tasting menu only and the experience they offer is one of the most unique we ever had! It's a must to try!

Been coming for year’s, on this visit it just wasn’t as good as previous experiences, though the food was mostly good, couple of inconsistencies showed.
Most disappointing was a slight damp smell were we sat didn’t help.
Splendid
Exquisite food and impeccable service.
We had the pleasure of dining at Ormer for a celebratory dinner, All I can say is absolutely magnificent, from the welcome, to the staff, to the great food.
Thank you to all the staff for making our evening so special.
Amazing From Start to Finish
We had the five course tasting menu and cannot recommend it highly enough. Each course was absolutely delicious. The service and attention to detail made it one of the best dining experiences ever.
Thank you to Manuel and the team. Can’t wait to return.
Excellent food - particularly helpful with dietary restrictions.
This was one of the best meals we have ever had; there was no reduction in standards because we were using a Virgin Experience Days voucher.
We had the 6 course tasting menu and every dish was excellent. As a low FODMAP eater, I thought they would struggle to cater for this in a tasting menu, but they didn’t disappoint. For every course, they matched my husband’s normal menu dish with a gluten, dairy and onion free version for me. The staff were attentive and friendly, and all were knowledgable about what each dish contained. The whole experience was impressive and we would recommend Ormer to anyone.
Amazing
Love this place! Food has great balanced.
Booked for a romantic night and couldn’t have been more impressed. Service was first class, every member of staff were very professional and attentive. You would have one star, in my opinion.
Excellent Dining Experience
Had a perfect dinner. The 8 course tasting menu was excellent, well presented and delicious. Service was top notch, friendly and professional. Deserves a michelin star.

I cannot speak highly enough of Ormer! I held my retirement dinner in the Clarges Suite. Colin was supportive and delightful throughout the planning and event - nothing was too much trouble, down to the flowers and a car home. We had drinks in the delightful bar. But above all, the food was fantastic as you would expect at Ormer! My guests adored the food and the whole event. Perfect!!!!
Be the first to ReplyHigh calibre, Mayfair located, Pearl of a restaurant
We recently had a weekend in London and wanted somewhere offering top quality food and service to help celebrate a special anniversary.
We were not disappointed having chosen Ormer.
It is located on the lower floor of Flemings hotel, one of London's oldest & finest hotels in a beautiful district of the Capital.
We received a warm, friendly greeting and were escorted to our table, which was a wonderful corner seating banquette, with a great vista.
We began the evening with a couple of glasses of champagne, which the Sommelier explained in detail to us.
And then began the journey through the tastes and senses as we started to enjoy the 6-course tasting menu (8-course is available also). The experience was sublime and we savoured each and every course; all of which was described in great detail. The brill was especially memorable, but honestly it was a fantastic experience and the Chef is an extremely talented person.
We enjoyed a wonderful New Zealand Syrah with our courses, which was light, fresh and adaptable to all the food. We then had a delicious sweet wine with the pre-dessert, a pallet-cleansing apple and celeriac delight.
The staff were wonderful. Friendly, genuine and quite perfect service.
The evening could not have been better and we can say it must rank as the best dining experience we've both had in more than ten years (and we eat out a lot).
Don't deny yourself...try Ormer because you will not regret it and we cannot wait to return.
Very nice dining experience.
We dined at Ormer on 25th September 2021 choosing the 6 Course Tasting Menu. The restaurant decor is very nice and welcoming on arrival, it set the scene that you are going to have a very nice dining experience. The staff were very attentive throughout the evening and both understood and catered for my butter / cheese intolerance. The quality of food, its preparation and presentation on the plate was very good, although I would question why would you have back to back game dishes (Pigeon and Quail) as the addition of a beef or lamb dish within the 6 Course Tasting Menu would, in my opinion enhance the experience that little bit higher. The only negative comment I have about our whole dining experience was at 10:15pm, the staff were clearing the tables around both us and the other last remaining table of diners and setting them for breakfast, not what I would have expected from a fine dining establishment. I accept that this hotel restaurant has multiple functionality, but set the tables for breakfast once all diners have finished and left!
