My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Sunday, November 20. We had been out for the afternoon to start her birthday week celebration and decided to give Osteria a try. Well, all started out well enough, decent calamari and burrata salad, shared. I ordered the sand dabs and was pleasantly surprised. My wife ordered the Ravioli al Ragu. Initially, she enjoyed her meal. I say initially, because ten hours later she awoke with severe nausea and vomiting, interspersed with sweating and chills. Classic food poisoning symptoms. As we had not shared our entrees, we concluded the Ravioli al Ragu the culprit. I called the following morning to warn them about the bad ragu, and left a message, as they were closed for the day. I expected a concerned owner to return my call, to check on my wifes condition. Waited two days, no call. So, my wife calls to speak with the owner to express her surprise at being ignored and concern for other possible victims of this tainted Ragu. The gentleman who answered her call only asked, if she was so ill why she didn't go to the hospital. Well, this entirely inappropriate response, and no follow up call from the owners, led to this one star review. So, dine at your own risk, but if they poison you, be sure to go to the hospital.
