This restaurant was good but not great.
I think my biggest disappointment was the focaccia. It was cold, hard and came without anything to dip or spread. The truffle pasta was the star of the show, so I am glad there was something that made it worth the visit. The music and ambiance were vibey, but it did feel a little dim and very crowded. I think overall based on the price point and difficulty getting reservations, it was a little underwhelming. But overall good experience and good service.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent.
The secret here is knowing that the spicy vodka rigatoni is the same At Carbone for half the price, let's just stop here.

Palma was absolutely excellent! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so attentive and welcoming. The ambiance is stunning, with a greenhouse patio in the back. We sat inside, but I preferred that anyway being near the bar and seeing the kitchen close by. They had a great sommelier, and our server was fantastic. She seemed to be serving every table, so I'm assuming she is an owner or manager as well. We started with a cauliflower and salad special appetizer that were both excellent. The salad was a bit over-dressed with oil, but so fresh. We ordered two pasta dishes that were excellent as well. We had a lovely experience, and I hope to return soon :)

Ambiance was enjoyable, mostly young fashion ladies. Service was on point with every recommendation and food was delicious. Definitely coming back.

Palma is a really solid West Village Italian spot! Every cocktail, appetizer and pasta I've tried here has consistently been good. The ambiance is also really great- the outdoor area is especially pretty. It's probably not the best Italian in the WV (there's so many in the area), but it's a reliable place to have a nice meal.

Beautiful atmosphere and fabulous food! I went with a group of friends and we had so much fun! Make reservations!!!
Be the first to ReplyI came to this darling restaurant for a bridal shower.
It is so insta worthy. It photographs beautifully. The food was authentic and delicious. Top of my list: The eggplant Parmesan. The branzino. The beet salad. The roasted vegetables. The tiramisu. As one of the hostesses of the shower I can tell you it was a frightfully expensive place to host a private event. Based on the pricing I had expected our room to be more private. But all the other events going on had to pass through our room. As the room is narrow, they had to frequently ask us to push our chairs in as they walked by. It took away from our intimacy for sure. At one point, a guest from another room knocked over a flower vase on the wall and broke it. Perhaps staggering event start times might have helped? Aside from that, I can see why this spot is a NYC favorite given the dreamy decor and delicious cuisine.
Be the first to ReplyIt's kind of classic NYC restaurant.
Sat at a tiny table in the front room and it was too loud to really hear what my friend sitting centimeters away from me was saying. The food is good but extremely over priced (especially for the super small portions), but you're paying half for the ambiance. The restaurant is adorably decorated and probably a good spot for a date (if it's quieter). I just prefer my restaurants more lowkey! The servers are really nice ( I think? I couldn't really hear them lol). Would recommend the Agnolotti agli Spinachi; would not recommend the Ravioli Cacio e Pepe. The Focaccia is just okay and only come with 3 small prices. I think there's better Italian restaurants to try nearby!
Be the first to ReplyLovely garden and service was great.
Had eggplant app delish and spaghetti w lobster which was great. Also cacio Pepe ravioli Terrific. Very nice dinner

First time back in several years and the food is just as good as it has always been. The sommelier was so nice and helpful. The food was excellent, and the ambiance was terrific. The lobster pasta was the very good as well as the meatball appetizer. The service was very friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend.

This tucked away spot is all about authenticity and ambiance. The food focuses on vegetarian options but also has a few seafood/meat options at the end of their menu. This restaurant has a higher price tag but you're paying for their beautiful greenhouse space & awesome staff.

Can not overstate how much I enjoyed my dinner there last Saturday night. The food was amazing. Fresh flowers everywhere. Great service. I will be back.

A classic Italian restaurant serving handmade pasta and authentic recipes. Our reservation was last minute and so we had to sit outdoors. It was super cold even though they had heaters. We would definitely recommend booking in advance to avoid being seated outside. As for the food, we ordered: 1. Fritto Misto A fried calamari dish paired with lemon. This dish was relatively plain with no sauce and just lemon. We asked our server for some sauce to pair with calamari - a tomato basil sauce came out - and it made the dish much more tastier. 2. Charcuterie This was a "special" for the night. It was very typical and expected as we didn't find anything noteworthy. We regretted ordering this. 3. Fettuccine Ai Fungi Our favourite dish of the night. Gluten free and handmade fettuccine pasta paired with truffle and mushroom. We found this pasta delicious, perfectly al dente, creamy and buttery. 4. Pappardelle Alla Bolognese A typical red sauce bolognese pasta made with veal, beef and pork ragu. We found this dish tasty with lots of sauce and enjoyed sharing. All in all, this Italian restaurant was a cute spot, however, the food was just mediocre for the city. The cold temperature wrecked our experience as we just quickly ate and left ASAP.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food.
Good service. Cool and hip atmosphere. Decent pricing. Perfect combination of intimacy and being social.

Everything I tried was excellent from the focaccia, to the meatballs, eggplant melanzane, even the salad was notably vibrant given the time of year. I had the fettuccine ai funghi and it was bursting with all types of mushroom flavor. I am not allergic to gluten, but their gluten free fresh pasta is extremely impressive and does not seem compromised in any way, texturally. Staff is extremely attentive, and it is just a nice place to be for a meal.
Be the first to ReplyThe Italian food is so amazing and has great food options.
One of the best Italian restaurant we dined in. The food is so good and fantastic quality of Italian food. The cocktails were taste good and smooth, especially the wines. The pasta has great flavor and texture. The sauce is balanced and well-seasoned. Dessert is a must try too. Had great time there and will keep coming back.
Be the first to ReplyFood, service, and ambiance are all perfect.
I've never had a bad meal or experience here.Places like Palo Santo are special.
Be the first to ReplyAn incredible Italian spot in the village.
There is no shortage of Italian food or Italian restaurants in the city -- but Palma is the real deal. Family owned by an Italian couple, pasta dishes made in house from scratch, ambience that screams soft romance. From the moment you walk in, you forget that you're in nyc and perhaps in a small Italian town or someone's home. Come here if you want no fuss, down to earth vibes. The cacio pepe ravioli and the chocolate almond flour cake were noteworthy. I will definitely be back
Be the first to ReplyI think this place is underrated.
Their food is exceptional, the service and ambiance are top notch. Their food makes you feel like you just had a big hug. And their tiramisu is one of the best in the city.
Be the first to ReplyMagical and beautiful on the inside with the right people.
It's the garden of the owners house pretty awesome tbh. I only gave fourbutyou know why
Be the first to ReplyPerfect in every way.
Ambiance is romantic, cozy, beautiful, and vibey. Food and drinks are GREAT. Couldn't recommend this place more!
Be the first to ReplyLimited menu, tacky plates, rickety chairs.
Food was OK but definitely subpar. Plenty of other upscale Italian places to go to. Prices here are high for the quality of everything that was provided. I mean they served bread in a bowl that looks like it was made by a child. Issa negative from me.

We went here back in December and we're seated in the courtyard. It was quite beautiful, but the tables and chairs were very uncomfortable and it was also very cold in the room. My friend had gotten there before me and was seated on one side of the courtyard where everyone going in and out of the kitchen kept bumping into her. She asked if she could be moved to another table and said the person who moved her basically said if she was "sitting properly at the table that wouldn't be happening". She is taller and can't tuck the chair in fully under the table "properly". After that we were able to get a seat without being bumped into and our server was kind to us. I had been here before and got the same pasta (Cacio e Pepe) this time. Did not disappoint. They had good options for drinks including a variety of cocktails and wine.
Be the first to ReplyI want to preface this review by saying the staff was all
I want to preface this review by saying the staff was all very nice and the food was good. That being said, I was extremely taken aback by the pricing on their specials. We ordered their burrata and mixed meats appetizer special as well as the special fish dish. When we got the bill, we were charged $40 for the cheese and meats, which compared to the other appetizer prices was far above them, and at the end of the day, it was a blob of cheese and meats. Was the meat and cheese all direct from Italy!? At that price is sure hope it was. The fish special was blackened cod. Cod, as most people know, is one of the plainest and cheapest fishes you can buy. It's a white flakey fish similar to flounder. I saw on the menu they charge $46 for the King Slamon (which is still outrageous), but I figured this cheap cod must be less than that. The cod dish, with a side of mashed potatoes and kale, WAS $45!!!! I could not believe it. Absolutely offensive. What made this all worse, was that the sever never told us any of the special pricing -- when you are offering socials that cost that much, you owe it to your patrons to give a heads up. I've been to some of the fanciest restaurants in NYC, and they always give pricing on specials.Anyways, guess the lesson is to ask next time! This place is good if you have someone with a gluten allergy and who wants pasta, but otherwise, I'd suggest going to some of the many other better and less expensive Italian spots in west village.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely wonderful food, ambiance, service, etc.
no complaints whatsoever!! Their dishes are mainly gluten-free and u would never know. Our waitress was so lovely & helpful as well. We got the roasted cauliflower app, the caccio e pepe ravioli and the mushroom pasta- all of it was delicious! I was also in love w the focaccia bread basket that we were provided- we kept asking for refills lol, couldnt get enough!!!
