Palma New York Reviews from The Last Year
Palma is a cute, little small restaurant that serves
Palma is a cute, little small restaurant that serves organic food. I loved this cozy spot as soon as I walked in as it was filled variety of flowers (I was told the flowers inside are often changed but not sure how accurate this is). Waiter was attentive and the lady who helped me choose the wine was super helpful and friendly. Food was good and filling - definitely want to return to try other items from the menu. Looking forward to be seated in their courtyard garden on my next visit :)
Lovely place with wonderful food and staff.
A true oasis in the city. Everything was delicious and the service was exquisite. So happy to find this place and rejuvenate after a long day of sightseeing.
This was by far one of my favorite meals in NYC.
The courtyard was beautiful. The service- amazing. The food!!! I wanted to try everything. Calamari dish is a must. Fettuccine ai Funghi, fresh made pasta, mushrooms, and truffles. I'm going to dream about this dish. Everything was delicious. The Limoncello was a perfect ending to a perfect meal.
I live nearby and let me tell you I have been sleeping on
I live nearby and let me tell you I have been sleeping on Palma. I dont always want Italian because I am concerned I'll feel too heavy after. Do not make the same mistake as me and wait to eat here. Also, we did not realize, the back garden is high-ambiance. The lobster spaghetti was amazing. The spinach ravioli was even better. Do not be going to Palma and telling me you didn't get the ravioli. The sauce alone is enough to send you to heaven.
Tried to experience that summer outdoor dining here and it
Tried to experience that summer outdoor dining here and it fell flat. We walked in Saturday evening and got a table outside. I've heard the courtyard inside is aesthetic but needs a resy. Mosquitoes!!! Heat! Sitting outdoors is not romantic! Plus the tables were crammed so closely together that we couldn't walk through without our neighbors moving their tables. The food was so average here. The watermelon salad, a "special" that day, was wildly expensive for how simple it was. You could throw this together at home in no time. The lobster spaghetti was lukewarm and the meat was tough to pick out of the shell. The spritz classico was too bitter; the la vie en rose cocktail was too bland. Service was ok although we had to lock eyes with the server for him to even approach us. We paid ~$50 pp pre tax/tip for this and were ready to bounce out of there. I wouldn't recommend unless you can sit in the courtyard and are willing to fork out for some ok food.
We came to Palma during a trip to NYC at the recommendation
We came to Palma during a trip to NYC at the recommendation of my husband's friend. I snagged reservations in advance for right when they opened - we arrived a few mins before our time, but we just waited outside with a few other couples and slowly made our way in as tables were ready. The restaurant is on a cute small street (Cornelia St - yes, THAT Cornelia St), and it's fairly secluded. We totally would not have known it existed! Once we stepped inside, we saw why it came highly recommended. The vibe is impeccable - it feels like you are in someone's home in a villa in Italy, although with the "outdoor" and indoor space, it is pretty spacious. We were in the courtyard area which was just so cute with so many little terraces and plentiful roses around the space; it's an Instagrammer's dream! Despite getting there right when it opened, the restaurant filled up by the end of our meal. We never felt rushed by our server, who was very helpful and patient with us as we made up our minds. We started with a glass of wine (in retrospect, should have just gotten a bottle since we each got 2 glasses) which was delectable and a unique varietal. For our meal, we split a few antipasti and each got a primi. To start, we went for the eggplant parm and a fig / ricotta / prosciutto dish. The eggplant parm was dense but sooo good - it was so creamy and the sauce so rich to appropriately smother the crisp eggplant. I could have had that as my meal and been satisfied! The fig and prosciutto was much lighter and fresher, with excellent quality meat that was balanced with the creamy ricotta, sweet figs, and tart pomegranate seeds. It was a fantastic blend of flavors. I opted for the fettuccine ai fungi for my primi, I foolishly asked if I could get another pasta type that was not gluten free - growing up Italian, it was sacrileg to not have "traditional" pasta, but man did Palma prove me wrong. Per our waitress' rec, I kept the gluten free fettuccine and I'm so glad I did. I would have had zero clue that this was an alternative pasta type, and the noodle shape and texture lended itself so well to the creamy mushroom and truffle sauce (which was incredibly flavorful). I loved every bite of it, and I sincerely take back my request for a swap! My husband chose the pappardelle alla Bolognese, which he very much enjoyed as well. The pappardelle were so wide, encapsulating the rich meat sauce, which we could tell simmered for some time. The portions of the pasta dishes were quite appropriate - I didn't feel overwhelmed with the size, but I was pretty comfortably full after. I probs could have passed on one of the antipasti, but they were both delicious so I regret nothing. We were too stuffed for a secondi or dolci, although offerings on both parts of the menu were enticing. While Palma wasn't cheap, I do think the price point for the quality, portion, and experience of the meal is well worth it. We had such a memorable meal at Palma, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Italian fare in an adorable restaurant space in a more secluded part of NYC. We hope to make it back soon!
Came here for my 25th birthday.
Food and drinks were great and ambiance was nice and cozy. It was smaller than i expected, but overall nice. The service was great as well. Our server was very attentive.

Food was great! I booked indoor garden in advance but it's closed for private event; just wish the staff informed me earlier. Overall it's great place to dine, very cozy and the flowers are really pretty
ambience was wonderful.
we requested to be seated in the outdoor garden area and it was absolutely stunning. the food was pretty good- but there's definitely better italian in the city
We had an excellent meal at Palma last night.
They were able to increase our party size to 6 guests, when 2 friends joined us for my birthday celebration. We were seated in the romantic private dining space, to the right of the entrance. Everything was lovely, from the cande-lit ambiance, charming flowers, heart-warming tortellini en brodo, and delicious tiramisu. While the wine list is a bit pricey, we greatly enjoyed our overall dining experience at Palma, and thank them for having us!
Disappointing Food, Horrible Pastries and Service
I really love Italian food but unfortunately the food here was not very good. Also the desserts lacked flavor and they were dry and tasted like they were spoiled. In most cases I do not even write reviews but I had to share my experience after eating at this restaurant. To make matters worse the front of the house staff had an attitude as I looked to explain the issues with the food that I shared with my family. The manager and server did not care what I had to say and they chose to defend the Chefs who make their food. I cannot support restaurants like this and restaurants like this only last when the guests are not used to having good service and authentic food experiences. NYC has much better Italian food options along with much better Italian pastry options than this place.
This restaurant was good but not great.
I think my biggest disappointment was the focaccia. It was cold, hard and came without anything to dip or spread. The truffle pasta was the star of the show, so I am glad there was something that made it worth the visit. The music and ambiance were vibey, but it did feel a little dim and very crowded. I think overall based on the price point and difficulty getting reservations, it was a little underwhelming. But overall good experience and good service.
Excellent.
The secret here is knowing that the spicy vodka rigatoni is the same At Carbone for half the price, let's just stop here.
Palma was absolutely excellent! From the moment we walked
Palma was absolutely excellent! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so attentive and welcoming. The ambiance is stunning, with a greenhouse patio in the back. We sat inside, but I preferred that anyway being near the bar and seeing the kitchen close by. They had a great sommelier, and our server was fantastic. She seemed to be serving every table, so I'm assuming she is an owner or manager as well. We started with a cauliflower and salad special appetizer that were both excellent. The salad was a bit over-dressed with oil, but so fresh. We ordered two pasta dishes that were excellent as well. We had a lovely experience, and I hope to return soon :)
Came here to celebrate a birthday.
Ambiance was enjoyable, mostly young fashion ladies. Service was on point with every recommendation and food was delicious. Definitely coming back.

Palma is a really solid West Village Italian spot! Every cocktail, appetizer and pasta I've tried here has consistently been good. The ambiance is also really great- the outdoor area is especially pretty. It's probably not the best Italian in the WV (there's so many in the area), but it's a reliable place to have a nice meal.
Authentic Italian
Authentic Italian food in the heart of the West Village. Fair pricing but on the higher end. Highly recommended, cool vibe and excellent service.
Beautiful atmosphere and fabulous food! I went with a group
Beautiful atmosphere and fabulous food! I went with a group of friends and we had so much fun! Make reservations!!!
I came to this darling restaurant for a bridal shower.
It is so insta worthy. It photographs beautifully. The food was authentic and delicious. Top of my list: The eggplant Parmesan. The branzino. The beet salad. The roasted vegetables. The tiramisu. As one of the hostesses of the shower I can tell you it was a frightfully expensive place to host a private event. Based on the pricing I had expected our room to be more private. But all the other events going on had to pass through our room. As the room is narrow, they had to frequently ask us to push our chairs in as they walked by. It took away from our intimacy for sure. At one point, a guest from another room knocked over a flower vase on the wall and broke it. Perhaps staggering event start times might have helped? Aside from that, I can see why this spot is a NYC favorite given the dreamy decor and delicious cuisine.
It's kind of classic NYC restaurant.
Sat at a tiny table in the front room and it was too loud to really hear what my friend sitting centimeters away from me was saying. The food is good but extremely over priced (especially for the super small portions), but you're paying half for the ambiance. The restaurant is adorably decorated and probably a good spot for a date (if it's quieter). I just prefer my restaurants more lowkey! The servers are really nice ( I think? I couldn't really hear them lol). Would recommend the Agnolotti agli Spinachi; would not recommend the Ravioli Cacio e Pepe. The Focaccia is just okay and only come with 3 small prices. I think there's better Italian restaurants to try nearby!
Lovely garden and service was great.
Had eggplant app delish and spaghetti w lobster which was great. Also cacio Pepe ravioli Terrific. Very nice dinner
First time back in several years and the food is just as
First time back in several years and the food is just as good as it has always been. The sommelier was so nice and helpful. The food was excellent, and the ambiance was terrific. The lobster pasta was the very good as well as the meatball appetizer. The service was very friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend.

This tucked away spot is all about authenticity and ambiance. The food focuses on vegetarian options but also has a few seafood/meat options at the end of their menu. This restaurant has a higher price tag but you're paying for their beautiful greenhouse space & awesome staff.
Prob not worth it
You could prob make any dish on this menu, not bad not excellent. DON'T do outdoor seating in winter, it's shabby, saw a guy poop on the doorstep right in front of the restaurant while eating a few feet away. That was the highlight of the dinner. If you go atmosphere inside is very beautiful and homey, just make a res at least a month in advance or your gonna be on the sidewalk, and atp there's a trillion other places prob better in the warmth with an equally cute atmosphere. Staff were lovely:) Food meh and certainly not worth the price. Never write bad reviews, but I was really disappointed, the picture online for outdoor seating were very misleading and lead me to believe it'd be a cute place for a date night

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
