Avoid this dump. Used to be good
Awful. Rude ghetto hostess and her sidekick tried to sit single professional woman at bar, AFTER she clearly requested a table for one for dinner. Incompetent, harassing, and discriminatory, as if the place was packed...it wasn't. Then had the chutzpah to tell customer to go somewhere else! Asked for manager. Got seat. Said hi to reg waiter. Ate and left. Indigestion. UWS.
Be the first to ReplySadly Parm has lost its way
When it first opened Parm was a special little out of the way place. The meatballs were the best Iโve ever had. Passed though the city twice more and it was always just as good. Have tried the Parm off Wall st but Mulbury street was always the fav. Tonight from the hour wait to the service to the management not wanting to hear any complaints itโs time to move to other restaurants that remember they are there for the customers, not the personal whims of the friends of the staff. In 25 years of eating all over Brooklyn and Manhattan the biggest culinary and service disappointment I have ever encountered. If I felt more generous I would buy a copy of the amazing book UNREASONABLE HOSPITALITY and give one the everyone from the doorman to the manager. .
Be the first to ReplyGood authentic Italian food
Stopped in for lunch, sat at the counter after a short wait. Service was good, friendly, made you feel at home. The counter looks a bit like a 50โs eatery. The food was really fresh and flavorful. Not too heavy. The garlic bread was really good and toasty. Definitely recommend. The only negative was how tight and crowded the restaurant felt. Will return.
Be the first to ReplyBest hot sandwiches in Little Italy without the tourist trappings
Great chicken parmagianna sandwich in the area. Authentic food in a simple setting without the hoopla of tourists. Small menu of sandwiches but it's more about quality than quantity.
Be the first to ReplyThird visit: excellent food and super friendly service
I had an awesome dinner here, on what was my third visit in a year. This time, I was solo so I ate at the bar. I was floored with how friendly and enthusiastic the bar tender was. My chicken parm was (again) amazing.
Be the first to ReplyGood Eggplant
Food was very Good, we had the eggplant (A+) and the meatballs (A). For appetizer we had the cucumbers with sour vinegar (A). Everything very tasty. The only fault was, service. They have a large counter and the atmosphere is nice, small place but comfy.
Be the first to ReplySecond visit in a year, good but not epic
After visiting this restaurant in the summer, I was excited to bring my husband back while we were in town again. I think it was a little less amazing the second time around, but still quite good.
There are two types of rolls offered and I got the larger one this time. I felt like the texture felt a little bit too crusty for my preference, so I regretted not getting the smaller softer bun.
And this time, we went at lunch time and found the dining room area really packed. It was a bit too close for comfort.
I'd still go back again for the tasty food.
VERY GOOD
This is not Italian food, it is Italian American food. This place does it very well, and better than the older joints in the city, and at a fair price.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing sandwiches
A local friend recommended this small chain for my visit to NYC. There are a couple locations. My chicken parm sandwich was top-notch and the dessert was absolutely awesome.
Our server was friendly and the food came out promptly. The prices were reasonable.
I'd definitely go back.
Great location, Excellent Dinner
We had a wonderful dinner (outdoor seating) featuring the famous chicken parm. Wait staff was attentive and helpful; atmosphere around the restaurant was festive and fun (saxaphone player added a special touch). Great to see New Yorkers and visitors out enjoying a meal again!!!
Be the first to ReplyAwesome Meatballs
Stopped at Parm for lunch based on a recommendation from a tour guide. Glad I did. I had the meatball Parm. Great portion and it tastes amazing.
Be the first to ReplyCool spot
Small spot, with yummy sandwiches. Good wine, friendly staff.
They have limited seating at tables and a counter with about 10 seats.
They do not take reservations.
Full bar. Homemade ice tea.
The buffalo cucumbers are delicious.
Awful experience. Avoid.
Awful experience. Horrible food and thoroughly bad service. Spaghetti and meatballs - spaghetti was so over salted it was inedible; โSunday saladโ had no dressing - just a smattering of dried oregano on top; garlic bread was burnt. Even worse was the service, despite being half empty there were multiple workers milling about but no one in charge ... so people didnโt get seated, no one ever checked on us, one of our meals went missing (with no one sure who was looking for it), waiter disappeared so had to track down bill etc etc
Be the first to ReplyDelicious pasta and sandwich
Went to this restaurant with local new yorker's and was not disappointed. There was so much food that I felt unable to move for sometime after the meal.
The pasta dish was the one that stole the show for me! I would return to this place purley for that.
Chicken Parm sub was very nice as well but very messy to eat and definitely not the star of the show for me.
