Peak Restaurant & Bar New York Reviews from The Last Year
Once again, (third time here), you can't beat the view, and
Once again, (third time here), you can't beat the view, and you can beat the price, for the price includes complimentary entrance into the Edge. Food is great and service is great.
This place has everything you want.
The view, the food, and the service. Since we had dinner at the restaurant, we could go out on the edge deck for free. The views are breathtaking. When we got seated, we got a really nice window seat since we booked that in advance. They have a prefix menu for dinner, and it was amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and they gave a good portion. We started with an amuse bouch to wake up our pallet. It was a bite of hamachi. Then we got drinks. We had the cosmo colada and bees knees. Both we flavorful and we had 2 rounds of them. For the apps, we got the tuna and Scallops. The tuna was the standout for me. Then, for the mains, we had the lobster and the pork chop special. The pork chop was the winner here. We ended with dessert and had the signature egg and chocolate hazelnut cake. The egg was the best. Overall, I will always make this a stop from now on.
Reservation cancellation will be USD50 fine, need to care
Reservation cancellation will be USD50 fine, need to care about that. Foods taste good, service is good, the best value is go to edge platform free of charge.
Very special treat
We decided to pre book the Peak as we had heard it was a fabulous dining experience with wonderful views across the city. It did not disappoint in the slightest. I’d booked 28 days in advance as we wanted a window seat. It is very expensive and for us Brits - you need to factor in the 20% tip on top as well as pricey drinks . That said we had a wonderful experience - one to remember and as we were on holiday we splashed out and do not regret it . The price includes a visit to the edge platform which is around $40 if you pay separately. All the staff were very attentive and friendly too - happy to take your photo and give recommendations .
We came here reserving the dinner window prix fixe for
We came here reserving the dinner window prix fixe for three. When you arrive at a restaurant that is pricey, you expect a level of service. First, we arrived and they stuffed us on a full elevator full of people, elbow to elbow, not my idea of fine dining experience. The view from the table was a 10 out of 10. The ambience and view was utterly beautiful! We ordered the short rib as an appetizer and it was mid at best - no one wanted to finish it. Next, we ordered the filets which was an upcharge of $9 per person to an already over $135 per person meal. The filets were tender and they were delicious, BUT we had Keens the night before and Keens was a million times better. Then we finished trying three different desserts, including the egg. I would say the dessert was good but nothing mind blowing. We also had the milk bread which was good. All in all our bill was 500, plus tip was $ 600 and it is a total rip off for what we got. The waiter was annoyed we asked him to take a picture which was annoying. You do get complimentary tickets to the edge, but after we asked to use the restroom after we came back, and the staff did not want to let us back in after spending $600!! Honestly, if you are going to be a fine dining experience then the food and service needs to match and this place did not cut it. This is the first I regret going somewhere this much. Skip the peak but definitely check out the edge !!
Great atmosphere and service.
The view is breathtaking. Great spot for a 1st time date or romantic date with your sweetheart.
Amazing view
One if the tallest restaurants in the world. Fantastic view and beautiful decoration. Pre- fixed menu with nice variety of options, which did not have an amazing flavor. We found the plates to be slightly unflavored and heartless. The wine list is spectacular and the service is ok.
This was the most spectacular restaurant I've ever been to.
Interesting that the menu is different depending on where you are seated. We had the corner window seat with the best view of both midtown and downtown, and thus had a fixed 3-course dinner. Man it was pricey. For 2 people it ran $400+ with coffee and milk bread, no other drinks. But, I'd do it again for the vibes and views for sure. It was amazing. Service was impressive and staff well trained. Also get complimentary access to the edge and can come and go as you please. Highly recommend
Nice ambience but I didn't like their menu.
There were that many wine options. It's nice to visit with friends with a nice view but the options are limited.
Peak Bar is an ideal location (in the middle of manhattan)
Peak Bar is an ideal location (in the middle of manhattan) to enjoy cocktails while taking in the city and harbor view from the 101st floor. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, even managing to reserve window seats for us at the last minute. This bar partners with MasterCard, so certain cardholders may receive special benefits. To ensure the best experience, it's recommended to call ahead, clarify any potential benefits, and most importantly, reserve a window seat to fully enjoy the sunset view!
Oh Peak.
.. How to describe Joy, happiness, excellence and singularity in words that goes way beyond the expression thought writing? Peak has become a symbol of New York, A restaurant on the 101st floor with cinematic and outstanding view from the skyline of New York and New Jersey, a place where it doest matter if you go for one drink alone or for a full mean with friends, peak will always be there for you. I remember the first time I walked there; June 2022, a beautiful sunny day, what I didn't expect is that Peak would become part of my history, part of who I am, part of my life in the city. What makes Peak great is not the instagram view, or the meticulous food preparation and a-presentation, of course, those things by itself add an extra layer of creativity, quality and excellence at the job is proposed over there, but again, what makes Peak the jewel of Manhattan, the princess in the tower is the people that work there! I couldn't start this without the first person that I have ever met there, Michael the Maître D'! Michael is that person that no matter what, will always greet you with a smile, even on the grayest of the days, he's there waiting to assist on every single need you might have. Humble and simple, this gives a new meaning to the expression "Fine Dining", the famous "less is always more"; The attention to the details, the conversation, the simplicity of such a great person, makes the first approach to Peak already an outstanding experience, Michael definitely is one of a kind and I am glad I get to see him every time that I go. But this is just one part of their team; I can't write a review from my favorite place without giving credits to the others that makes this magnificent dinning in the skies work flawlessly. Philip is one of the managers the runs Peak. A German young guy full of energy and Iger to make you feel like home, yes, they're not there to count you as just one more person to sit at their chairs, they are there to make you feel like home, and Philip elevate this experience to the highest level possible, extremely professional and friendly, he is the one that even if you said the experience was 100%, he will make sure that you leave there feeling like 200%! If you are sitting at the the Lounge, Seattle will be the most beautiful, eloquent and professional woman that you can find over there; Server is a word that I don't digest well, it gives me a different perception of a human, they are not there to serve us, they are there to assist us in the process of decide what type of experience I want to have, she is there to guide us thought the process of decision with great human touch, a beautiful smile and a warmth heart, Seattle is one of a kind in that place that treat so well everyone. The dining experience at Peak is a must try, either if you go every week or just once, you can't visit New York without visit Peak. The food options is for everyone, they always make sure your needs are well received and right, despite me loving all the items that they have on the menu, the start for me will always be The Egg desert! I will not give any hints on what it is, you'll have to go see by yourself, but is unlike anything that you ever tried. If you are like me, someone that loves sitting at the bar, Peak will not let you go unnoticed, the bar is gorgeous, and again, the service makes everything goes beyond imaginable. Paul, Jake and Cris are the most lovely and caring bartenders in the whole city, they always make my stay there the best one possible in the most different ways every time! All of that under Jules management, another great human that works at Peak. Jules is one of the bar managers, a unique guy (always wearing the most amazing pair of sunglasses) also part of this Peak way of work, will be willing to assist you on everything you need. Peak is my favorite place, I go every week and every week is a different experience, this is a thank you for all of you that always took and take great care of me and whoever friend I bring with me. I couldn't be any happier that I am to found this place and be so well treated. I'm looking forward to be back and see you guys again! Lots of love, Henrry Lacsko.
Food was great ! Service was awesome, very attentive.
The scenery was beautiful I took my boyfriend for his birthday and we had a blast. Make sure you get the window seat it was so pretty. The drinks we had were really good. Restaurant was expensive!! But the experience was worth it. We also had on the house caviar !
Restaurant with the lot - view, service and food!
While the view is amazing, it is the quality of the food and service which makes Peak memorable. Warm and friendly service guided us through a sublime menu. The venue was ambient and buzzing. Views of lower Manhattan, from our front row table, rounded out a perfect evening. We rounded out the night with a visit to The Edge which was included as part of our reservation. An amazing NYC night!
Deliriously delicious. Perfect ambiance and service.
OMG OMG OMG. Yes. Eat here. Get a reservation and go. If you cannot, show up, be polite and nice to the host, and they might get you seated at the bar. Amazing drinks. Spectacular mouth happiness moment after moment. Fantastic service. The views are terrific, but after one bite, who cares? It's all about the food. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g60763-d15214498-r952195805-RH_Rooftop_Restaurant_New_York-New_York_City_New_York.html#
Lovely everything!
What a lovely restaurant for my wife's birthday Great food, wonderful views despite the cloud and although very pricey the food was excellent Staff so professional and friendly Was a wonderful way to celebrate and highly recommended
Spectacular location
We had a table by the window and were absolutely delighted. The menu is outstanding. All the courses were well coordinated and went well together. The chef is definitely an expert in his field. The wines complemented the dishes well. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the whole process was a little slow, but I think that's due to the location. There was only one mistake. My companion's main course was served when she was briefly absent. That shouldn't really happen in a restaurant of this calibre. But that shouldn't detract from the evening. It was a great experience in a spectacular location. We think the prices are reasonable and fair.
A wonderful celebration for our 50th anniversary
We booked the priceless prix fixe meal for our 50th anniversary dinner, and it was delightful. Our server, Ara, was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Everything we ordered was delicious and nicely presented, and the view was incredible— we could see both the One World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty from our table. The only disappointment for us was the rainy/hazy weather, but that couldn’t be helped! Overall we had a fabulous experience.
We dined at the window for the prix fixe menu.
We loved all the food and loved the view. We'd especially call out William who, as our waiter, apprised us in detail of all the food options. My wife love her scallops appetizer and her lobster dinner, which was very creatively presented. As a side, one of the claws was chopped and prepared as one would expect in a lobster roll. Delicious. She absolutely love "The Egg", which was her dessert option. William and the rest of the staff were very attentive to our every need. We felt very welcomed by the Peak team. This visit was a gift from our children in honor of our 37th anniversary. William made our celebration even more special with complimentary sushi and delicious cake at the end of the meal. Being able to access the Edge at sundown topped off a fabulous visit.
Had a nice experience to have dinner at this place .
Food and service just good as expected . Recommended for sure !
Amazing!
We booked a window table for dinner at Peak. The views were amazing. The food, wine and service were all excellent. A perfect and incredibly memorable way to celebrate my birthday!
Saturday 2pm Part 3- I've tried dinner and lounge seating
Saturday 2pm Part 3- I've tried dinner and lounge seating and figured third times a charm . I came to take a friend here for a bday lunch. We had the 2 course tasting menu. It certainly didn't disappoint! We shared the bread and chicken liver mousse for a group starter. I had the hamachi and the steak . My friend had the rigatoni ( which turned out ti be spicy and she wasn't told but it worked to her advantage as we ended up switching , I enjoyed the pork and spicy kick while she ate the hamachi , equally as delicious , next time though want whole serving of hamachi for myself ). We also swapped mains , she liked my steak and I had her trout ( a tad overdone for my taste ). I also got to try my other friend's burger ( good and again a bit overdone, the french fries were nice and crispy ). My other friend enjoyed her tuna . Overall, we enjoyed our dishes , love friends who don't mind sharing food ( and don't have loads of dietary restrictions). Only the bday celebrant ordered a desert that we shared ( they had a complimentary one ) and she got the crunchy toast ( highly recommended by my friends , I never go to try it ). While I love all of my 3 experiences , I prefer the evening experience and the dinner menu selection. Great experience , value as you get to also go to the peak to snap some memorable nyc photos ! Service was good and the setting was perfect especially on a nice sunny day to enjoy the beautiful Manhattan view .
Great value, great view, very good food! But be careful what table you get...
TL:DR - We had a phenomenal Time and it's worth every penny. The food was superb! Seriously, many of our friends kept asking if it was "worth it" e.g. we all were assuming you pay more for view then for food quality: well, Not so! My wife's lobster-dish was over the top succulent. And I have to rate The Peak's Foie Gras appetizer as one of the best I've eaten in a long time. Service was very good: our server was very cool and supportive and everyone very attentive. Great staff. Lastly: our table (we got lucky, it was an "end unit” of sorts, e.g. 3 seater table for a couple) was very very nice, not squished into between two other tables and we BOTH could enjoy the view. However, now that we're aware of seating arrangement, here’s one advice: IF you sit at the window and you get a "real" 2 seater table e.g. squished in between two other 2-seaters, I now realize: that's a raw deal! One person sit's with the back to the window! Only one person gets to see the view. I get it that The Peak wants to maximize occupancy but.. had we been gotten that squished 2 seater at the window, we'd be bitter disappointed: The neighbors are very close, you can overhear every word on each side, and you better like the other couple(s) since you borderline make elbow contact. And did I mention: one person would not get the view. And one more thing: don't stress arriving before sunset, the sunset is "on the other side" e.g. you wouldn't see any sunset. You do get a nice dusk-night effect with lights "coming on". Overall: Great view, great food, great value, we def. would like to visit again!
Wonderful Dinner
Wonderful Dinner with our lovely family, elevated menu, a ,perfect service, the choose of the ingredients 5 stars, incredible view in the 101 floor
Dinner at Peak was definitely an experience.
The ambiance is absolutely amazing, 360° views of nyc from the top of a skyscraper! Service was very attentive, though our server was a bit odd and kinda forced us to order many dishes we wouldn't have. If we didn't order something he recommended, he seemed annoyed and just walked away. Out of all the dishes we ordered, the only thing we really liked was the rolls, they were super delicious. Everything else tho, was not good. We started with a few dishes to share. The pasta was hard and barely any sauce, tasted weird. The carrots were cold and hard and also didn't taste good. The potatoes had a strong mustard flavor and, again, were not good. For the mains we got the steak, lobster tail, sweet potato, and chicken. None of it was impressive, the sides with the steak were bad and there was no flavor to the dish. It was a cool experience, but the food was not good and our server wasn't the best.
Great even for a tourist spot
First time visiting Peak restaurant and it was a great experience for a delayed valentine's night by about 6 days. The views were outstanding on a rainy, cloudy, foggy night but that soon passed as a reason to dine here. The best part was the staff as everyone on the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. They offered comments on what choices on and added to the menu were loved by other customers. They offered to take photos for us. The food choices were outstanding I had the Filet which was buttery and cooked to perfection for my medium request and my girlfriend loved the Halibut entree both the main and grilled sides. We had 2 apps the East Coast oyster which were fresh, juicy and had a nice saltiness to them. And the heritage carrots which were surprisingly better then the oysters, Grilled just right with great sauce and soft texture. We shared the chocolate hazelnut dessert which was a great finish. The cocktails throughout the evening were different and unlike a lot of places now days had strong favors so good. Can highly recommend and we will be returning for our next special night out. So would like to call out our main server Jose on a tuesday night he recommend some great choices, gave us time to enjoy the night and was there to replace plates and utensils immediately.
Made it hard for us just to be seated appropriately
Poor service, wrong order. On seating us the front of house made us feel like dirt and seated our party of 3 on a table for 2. A waiter did give us another table but we still got bad service. The views are great though
Food was good, service could be better.
Would only really go for the view since there are restaurants with better food in the surrounding area. Make sure you check the weather beforehand as visibility might not be the best on some days/nights.
Beautiful views, pretty good cocktails - a little touristy
Beautiful views, pretty good cocktails - a little touristy and overpriced. I felt the service was okay, but they were swamped when I went, so that's to be expected.
We had a great big brunch at Peak.
Seated by the window, we enjoyed good sunlight, a spectacular view, and the food was good. Missing one star due to a rude waitress. I'm a regular but it was my first time encountering her. For no reasons, she was aggressive towards me until my friends intervened. Despite this, I still left a generous tip for the other waiters who took good care of us.
Delicious food.
Gorgeous view, especially if you get window table. Friendly staff. Speedy service. Menu changes often but... Excellent - rigatoni (app), roasted chicken (main), cheesecake (dessert) Very good Hiramasa (app), trout (main), yuzu meringue (dessert) I thought the process to bring you up from the 5th floor to restaurant floor was a bit cheesy and pretentious. but some may enjoy it
WOW JUST WOW! My boyfriend surprised me with reservations
WOW JUST WOW! My boyfriend surprised me with reservations to this lovely place. He knows i love love love sunsets! So he made reservations so that we can watch it together. The view is just out of this world! Best view in NYC! The food is actually very good! Places with beautiful views often do not serve good food. But this place was so good, so much flavor in every single bite. The service was just as great! I believe everyone should experience this restaurant. It is worth every penny !
A modern Rainbow Room.
Amazing views of the city (and access to the Edge right before your reservation time). We came for my daughter's classmate's 10th birthday party. The kids ate happily and the waiters accommodated them with patience and humor. We could easily hear one another to have a conversation. We had the prix fixe lunch. The kids had some desserts - some didn't like the cheesecake so my daughter ate three servings and gave herself a mild stomachache (but she was happy and seemed to think it was worth it).
a perfect meal and service
You couldn't ask for more service was impeccable very knowledgeable about there food and wine , lovely welcome, we booked a table with a view being 100 stories up i expected a beautiful view however the weather decided different but didnt make our experience any less wonderful, however the 'Karen' on the table next to us rather annoyed us ....
Great service at the bar. Limited menu for pescatarian, dairy free person.
The service was outstanding at the bar. Limited menu in my opinion for pescatarian dairy free options. I had the tuna appetizer which was good. The drink was good. Dry January for me.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
