I took my partner to Pera Soho for an anniversary dinner! I reserved outdoor seating for the upstairs patio. I arrived and was unfortunately told that the patio was not available but we still had options to sit indoors or outdoors. We opted for imd and I must admit, the ambiance is so amazing space that I did not miss the up space. The art and lighting and overall vibes of this place is amazing! The service was fast and efficien. The staff aas super super friendly and knowledgeable about both the space and the menu. The food was absolutely delicious as well. my partner still raves about it today. Pera Soho is definitely a new favorite and I will be returning and recommending this place to everyone.

(Overall: B) - Overall, I found the fine dining food here to be quite mid with lots of room for improvement. The staff were kind and attentive and the venue itself was quite nice to host large groups, but the food could be better. (Octopus: A) - Their octopus is a well composed dish with a tender octopus leg and smashed potatoes that are nicely seasoned to give a forward depth of flavor and to heighten the octopus. The greens also add some vibrant color to make this dish pop. (Steak Frites: C) - It was smart to use the bread as a canvas to catch the steak drippings and not let those juices go to waste. Unfortunately, the rest of the dish is sub par as the steak was cooked to at least medium well, becoming quite dry. Further, I would've likef to see more of those regional spices tossed in the fries to differentiate from just regular fries. The plating could also be improved as the fries completely dominate the first look of this dish. (Calamari: B) - The cherry peppers add a pleasant sweet spiciness to enhance the fried squid. Aside from the sloppy presentation, I think this is a well executed dish. (Dip Sampler: D) - Aside from the carrot ginger hummus which was quite innovative from those notes of sweetness from the carrot, this dish was quite discomforting. The beer botani somehow mimics pepto bismol in both color and consistency in the form of a dip -- yet, somehow I find consumig pepto bismol more pleasant. I was a bit disappointed that the smoked eggplant was not coming through in the labne as well. -- Food: E Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: +1 Menu: E Overall: +2 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Great place for a work dinner or just casual happy hour with friends. I always recommend Pera to all my friends when they come into town
Be the first to ReplyHad the chance to visit this place for a baby shower brunch.
There was a very long table set up for all the guests and there was ample room to go around and meet everyone. Absolutely loved the ambiance on an early Sunday afternoon and the service was top notch. The various cocktails I tried: Pear Sangria, Soho Blossom and Spicy Cucumber Cooler. All were refreshing. We had a set menu for brunch, where I tried: - crisp pita chips with trio of dips (carrot ginger hummus, smoked eggplant with garlic yogurt, beet borani dip [had nice chunks of beets]) - purslane & frisรฉe salad - shakshuka eggs - baklava with a cappuccino I absolutely love Mediterranean food and I enjoyed trying everything. I do plan to come back again and try some other options.

We were at the Soho restaurant and totally enjoyed our Greek Salad, lamb plate and olive oil lemon cake w/vanilla ice cream. Enough of all 3 courses to share. Service was excellent by our server Safa. Ambience was pleasant and were able to have an audible conversation. We will also visit your Madison Ave location in the near future. Tom G

Be the first to ReplyHi,Fun brunch.
Thought the food was okay and so was the table. The waiter was great! The chips for the Mediterranean plate were over roasted and greasy. The table was in a dark section of the restaurant and the picture on open table looks colorful and light.I came from uptown. Next time we'll go to the midtown location.
Be the first to ReplyCelebrated my birthday party here with a mid-sized group.
We dined inside and absolutely loved the experience! Food was delicious- absolutely loved the lamb sampler and the potatoes bravas were to die for. The cocktails were incredible too! Our service was great, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for all occasions. A great place to dine for an intimidate date or a fun celebration. I'll be coming back!

This was a great place to go and share a few tapas with friends! The brussel sprouts, whipped feta with endive, and octopus were some of our favorites. The outdoor area looked beautiful, will definitely come back once we can eat outside.

This was my 4th visit to Pera Soho and I just love this place. The food and cocktails are always delicious and the service is great. it's a nice ambiance for a date nigh, girls night, brunch or even an engagement party. I'll obviously be back, because it's my go-to, great location in the mix in Soho (with great outdoor space as well).
Be the first to ReplyIt was great.

had a great time with my friends here for restaurant week! There were many vegetarian options which was fantastic to see and portions were well worth the price (complimentary wine or beer was a nice touch).
Be the first to ReplyThe front desk lady was very rude and snobby.
My family said we had a reservation at 8:00 but they claimed that our reservation was not on the system, but it was on my dad's end. They told us to leave and didn't even say sorry.
Be the first to ReplyFood was average.
Good but not amazing (especially for their prices) and the server was rushing our table as soon as we got sitted so I felt rushed the entire evening, I do not think I would go back because of the service and the average tasting food. Do get the octopus, that was delicious.

I'll admit it: I went into this experience with very high expectations. Situated in the heart of SoHo, I expected Pera to provide an exquisite Mediterranean dining experience. Unfortunately, it fell short in a few ways. In terms of ambiance, the restaurant floor is warmly lit and inviting to patrons. The menu is substantial and enticing, hence my high hopes. Staff was friendly and checked in often.I started with a cucumber-gin cocktail that was quite pleasant. It was advertised as spicy, but was fortunately not overpowering in any way. Consider this a green light for those that are spice-averse! Our meal began with the dip sampler, featuring hummus, "muammara", roasted eggplant, and a yogurt-based dip. All were tasty, but didn't blow me away. My main course was the chicken shashlik, which came with an arugula side salad, a side of rice, and pita bread. The variety alone drew me to the dish and was a great way to try different flavors. However, the chicken itself was uninspired. It was cooked well, but had minimal flavor. The dipping sauce provided was ketchup. I would have expected a more cuisine-appropriate dip; instead, I felt like a bit silly dipping my bland chicken in ketchup. My friend ordered the burger, which actually had a more authentic flavor profile. If I return, I may splurge for the lamb in hopes of a more complete experience. All in all, I will be continuing my search for a go-to Mediterranean spot elsewhere. If you have your heart set on trying Pera Soho, I would recommend for a specific occasion given the vibe and moderate prices.
Be the first to ReplyThe steak is very small portion like a kids meal.
ย I will never come back again or recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyCam here Friday evening for dinner with a girlfriend.
Ambiance: This restaurant is beautiful and a really fun vibe. I wouldn't come here for a special occasion/birthday dinner as I don't think that is the vibe but ย more for a fun dinner with friends if you were planning on not going out but wanted a fun evening. I noticed a lot of 8 tops sharing a bunch of food and it really is the perfect ambiance for thatFood and drink: I opted for an aperol spritz and my friend got the blood orange martini. I did see a lot of reviews that the drinks are small which is true but they were really delicious and you could tell they were fresh ingredients and not sugary mixes. I do want to point out that the website menu is not what the actual menu is and the menu in the restaurant is a lot smaller. We split a dip platter, fries, and a salad. All three items were delicious and made a perfect dinner for two people. Staff: The staff was really kind but did not check in. We waited for about 30 minutes till our waiter popped back to order another round of drinks. Once we ordered it was out super fast so I would just be sure you make the effort to get your own waiters attention as they will not check in as frequently as you think! All in all I would definitely check out this beautiful yummy restaurant!
