after hearing about this restaurant my friend and i decided to go for lunch the other day and i have to say if there was a place to leave 6 stars i would add one. the food is super fresh and so well prepared and was one of the better restaurants we both had gone to. just amazing delicious food. besides the food we were also so impressed with the customer service we got from the wait staff. Mack and his 2 man team were on top of everything. you never had to look for them as they never missed a beat with serving you with top notch service. we were both so impressed and felt like vip's eating there. super friendly and now i know why this place has been in business for i believe over 30 years! i can't say enough about this SIX star restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone, we both look forward to going back there soon.

Periyali has been our "go to" Greek restaurant for the last 30 years. Last night we had an assortment of appetizers including giant beans and a hummes type dish. I had lamb chops. No surprise here as it's what we always do. Service was excellent. Think of it this way, we take a $20 taxi ride each way from east 60th street to get here.

I attended a work dinner for 7 people on a Wednesday night at Periyali. The restaurant was dimly lit and very quite when we arrived. There were a handful of diners already eating (we had a 6:30 reservation), but the restaurant quickly filled during the course of our time there. We were seated promptly and given the option of bottled vs. tap water. The decor was simplistic but elegant and really gave me Mediterranean vibes. Our waitress was very attentive throughout the meal and came to our table on the perfect cadence. 3 of our party ordered the snapper (one of the nightly specials), but after 5 minutes, the waitress came back and informed us that there were only 2 snappers left. I found it odd that we were there well before the nightly rush but that we took the last two snapper "specials". Others in our party ordered salmon and bronzino dishes while myself and one other person ordered the Mousakas. Most appetizers were priced $10-$20 and most main dishes were priced at $30-$50. We also ordered a few cocktails and a couple of glasses of Greek wine.I really enjoyed the Mousakas, and the ground lamb in it was so tasty. My only gripe was that it came out a bit lukewarm (almost like it had been sitting on the counter waiting for the fish dishes to be ready). Everyone who ordered a fish dish seemed to enjoy it.Periyali has excellent service in an awesome setting, and it truly has an authentic Greek feel. However, my dish left a little to be desired, particularly for the price. I would consider giving this restaurant another shot and maybe trying one of the fish or beef entrees.

A friend and I shared:+ taramasalata+ tzatziki+ melitzanosalata+ Oktapodi sharas+ Horiatiki salata+ SpanakopitaThe taramasalata was amazing, but the other dishes were nothing special. There's much better greek food in this city but this is a solid option for the area (I'll admit Flatiron is kind of a desert when it comes to Greek food). 3.5 stars.

I've been coming here for years and it has never, not once, disappointed. I would go as far to say that it is the best Greek food fine dining experience in New York. The salmon is my favorite thing on the menu, but everything is superb. I'm literally sitting in the restaurant right now and so happy that I'm here.

I have eaten in restaurants around the world.Periyali in Manhattan is at the top of the list. Mediterranean and Greek food at its finest. Fresh fish, fabulous appetizers, octopus, grape leaves. Open for lunch Monday to Friday. Dinner 7 days a week indoor and outdoor dining.

Wow!!!! What an amazing chance experience during Restaurant Week. If I lived next to Periyali I'd never state how stunningly amazing it was as I'd love to keep it all to myself. It's beautifully and delicately appointed down to the fragrant fresh roses arranged in every nook. Our server, Denise, was in training and yet extremely knowledgeable and excited about the menu options. The menu was simple and classic, but their interpretations of the classics were extraordinary beyond their descriptions. Generous portions of decadent deliciousness we are now trying to figure out how we can make it back for more. A++

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
