Petit Trois Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Why have I never reviewed Petit Trois? A favorite for both
Why have I never reviewed Petit Trois? A favorite for both brunch and later in the day, the simple omelette is perfection. I love the fresh, clean ingredients and can live on the Jamon Beurre! The closest I can get to France while living in LA.

Will give a chance but I am a food lover born in Paris let's me see if you can get a Michelin star ! To be continued Remember Butter bread salt and pepper of course Dijon mustard a must ... Merci Encino ca Michelin watch

C'est splendide! It's been on my list for too long, so I went for lunch on a Tuesday. We got lucky with a seat at the bar. We ordered escargot, a butter lettuce salad and split the mussels. Paired with a glass of Sancerre and Chablis. The result was the classic quintessential French dining experience. Everything was prepared perfectly. We sopped up the buttery garlicky sauce that came with the escargot with a fresh baguette. Heavenly. Crisp, thin pom frites came with the mussels, which were swimming in a tasty white wine broth. I've been to France and this matched what we ate there to a T.

Lowkey obsessed with our waiter, I hate that I didn't get his name but he was so silly and made my birthday dinner so special. I got the escargot along with a mussels dish (forgive me I was drunk) and it was both divine! I love escargot and the garlic butter it was doused in was great. The mussels soup was good and not too briney. Their chocolate soufflé cake was so decadent I loved it. Literally shoutout to my waiter I hope our paths cross again soon
Chef Lunas Petit Trois is the BOMB! Worth the trip.
I do not usually do a review so here I am. I was going for a wedding in West LA and meeting our son in law and daughter coming in from Houston. We came in from Miami. So I looked for a French restaurant who had been reviewed having great steak tartar and escargot. My wife helped me book a reservation for the four of us. My daughter after looking at the reviews said this was Chef Ludo's place. Quite the character but love his passion for food. I make a mean steak tartar and in Miami most restaurants make a tuna tartar. Unappealing to me. I was pleasantly surprised how good this was at Chef Ludo's. Even better than I had at Bouchon in Napa. Escargot was also devine. Hard to screw up snails but delightful. All in all a special dinner. We had dinner the night before the wedding at Dan Tana's and it was a total disappointment..not worth the prices our patron whom paid the bill. Sorry. My Kudos to Chef Ludo. Need you in Miami. We have Michael Mina's steak house but you make a steak tartar that works for me. Willing to share my recipe!! You are the Man!
Wow, great gastronomic experience, food great, service
Wow, great gastronomic experience, food great, service great. Was fully impressed with my experience, sat at the kitchen chefs bar/ counter and watched all the wonderful food come out. We had the mussels, steak frites, chicken liver mousse, all were great. Definitely coming back to try other dishes. Comfortable atmosphere. These people have their stuff together!

Savor our tender, perfectly seared steak paired with crispy, golden frites and house-made sauce, bringing a taste of Paris to Los Angeles.
I would have been happy with the delicious baguette and
I would have been happy with the delicious baguette and wine as I've been on keto for months. Still craving that baguette! Hamburger was worth the price. Bar service was great as was the ambiance. Can't wait to go back.
In Short, Love this place from 10 years ago and today it's
In Short, Love this place from 10 years ago and today it's still excellent as it was the first time. Must Try spot. With a few more details, Petit Trois is growing and yes they have a much bigger restaurant in SFV and now more seating at this branch but I still like to sit at the bar and watch the cooking happening in front of me and feeling the heat from the kitchen. The bar used to be all of the seating they had and it's something I like when I come here. The atmosphere is always nice. Night and day. Although I like it when it's busy at night. Blaring french hip hop and yummy food and a healthy loud environment. I bet with the new patio outside it gives it more space. The service was wonderful. Appropriate wait time and very friendly chat with Ryan who was excellent. The food. Everything you get here tastes fantastic. The french onion soup. Escargot. Chicken liver. But my favorite is the Big Mec Burger. So juicy with so much flavor. It looks heavy but it is not. The bordelaise sauce gives it a nice tang and the extra on your plate is to dip your burger in. Yes eat with your hands. Garlic aioli with the fries are real good. The have verbal specials from time to time and this time is was a french dip. It was STACKED with meat and provolone cheese with caramelized onions on the bottom. It was epic especially that the jus is the same from the french onion soup. Anyway you should know by now that I highly recommend this place and it's one of my favorite little restaurants in LA.
French restaurant with attentive service.
My dad and I had a reservation here at 5:30pm prior to catching a show at the Zephyr Theater. We made a reservation online in advance and opted for indoor seating. Note that only the outdoor dining has tables - everything inside was high top bar seating so if you have a big group, I'd suggest dining outside. Service was very friendly and it was fun being able to see the kitchen prepare our meal. We started with the seasonal salad which had ingredients from the Santa Monica Farmer's Market - I really liked the bright, fresh dressing. My dad got the mussels with fries and I got the Jidori chicken. I loved the chicken - the skin was crispy and the jus was flavorful. The fried potato that accompanied it was crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. We ended with chocolate mousse which wasn't too sweet, and went well with the fresh cream.

We ate on the patio with a group of 8.
Nice vibes and friendly service. We were told there was only one chef working that night so we were definitely waiting a while between courses. Everything was pretty standard French fare, but the beet salad was spectacular. There was a little spicy kick which made it stand out among all the beet salads we've tried recently.

Order These 2 Dishes , Omelette Petit Trois & Filet Aux Poivres , Worth 5 Star Ratings (Best 2 Among Other Dishes Tried). Probably Best Omelette In L.A. Super Tender Filet Aux Poivres Tastes Sooo Goood !!! Thumbs Up !
I fucking love this place.
Good croque monsieur, cute patio. An LA staple you should add to your list.
Food was pretty good overall.
The service was great but the desserts were amazing. We ordered all of the desert in the menu and each dessert was delicious.

Amazing!!! Everything we had was delicious, service was amazing and it was fun to sit at the chef's counter to watch and chat with the chefs! Will definitely go back. Highly recommend the omelet and the French onion soup!

The food here is to die for! I also love that they don't use seed oils. It's a great, casual french spot for the whole family. Get the french onion soup, the omelette, or the steak frites and an apple crumble for dessert. The liver mousse is also my favorite! I would give this place 5 stars, but every time we've been here so far, they forget to bring out an item we've ordered or just straight up forgotten to ring something in. My husband doesn't exactly like his food coming out 15 minutes after mine and our sons. Its so yummy though, so we'll give you another chance, Petit Trois!
Huge disappointment
Not a horrible meal but had a lot of issues with experience. Omelet was a great soft scramble served with well dressed bid lettuce on side. Needed a tad more of the black pepper cheese or another element. Not worth $24. Big mec was huge disappointment. Bordelaise sauce was reduced and flavorful. But the burger itself was bland and unremarkable. They drenched it in sauce and charged $37 which is ridiculous. Also how does a French restaurant with frites serve what clearly was frozen fries. On top of that the only parking is valet which is another $15 plus tip. Two sub bar entrees somehow costed me $100. Definitely would not go back despite loving the ambience. Service a tad slow. If this meal was like $30 I would probably not be so harsh but the outrageous prices has to be accounted for.
I have not been here for a while and had a recent visit.
Our dinner was amazing. Enjoyed every single dish that we ordered. The staff were so professional and friendly. I would love to go back anytime! If you feel like having a great French feast with your loved ones, Petit Trois may be a wise choice! Don't forget to reserve your table ahead.

My mother and I had an excellent lunch here! We were seated quickly with a reservation, which I suggest making as they do fill up quickly. Services is outstanding, they are so friendly and welcoming, as well as extremely efficient. You may be lucky enough to see the chef himself at work, as we did.we have tried a variety of their menu items, one is better than the next! High-quality and gradients, perfectly executed and beautifully presented. This is ideal for a casual intimate lunch or dinner. Highly recommended!
I've been here before but had to try it again.
Great food and tbh it was better the second time around! I love this place!!! Mussels are 10/10

Stunning food! Everything we ordered was overthetop! From the Bronzino to the Pistou pasta, to the Belgian endive salad, everything was incredible. The ambience is warm and friendly and the service, exceptiona!. You cannot go wrong here. It's a delectable treat.
Been here multiple times and the food is always good, but
Been here multiple times and the food is always good, but tonight, the hostess was incredibly rude. So rude that instead of putting our name in for a reservation, we just left. She left her hostess stand unattended for so long that there was a huge line of parties waiting & the other staff had to go track her down. When she came back, she didnt apologize for the delay, or even say hello. Instead, she just sat on her Ipad in silence until I said "...hi?", to which she rolled her eyes. Then sassed someone else in line who simply asked if they were in the right place. For this rude of behavior - I'd rather spend my money somewhere else.
Great food, great service, great wine.
The omelette and the steak frites - two great recs on this wonderful cholesterol bomb of a menu.
The new crabcake was boooomb.
Service still great (even when they're shorthanded). The heritage chicken was fantastic. Love it all.

The food at the restaurant I visited was great, but the seating situation was a nightmare. They sat a man next to me who had no concept of personal space and was constantly invading mine. The discomfort and pain I experienced from sitting on those hard chairs outweighed the quality of the food, making it unlikely that I will return.
Not good.
Typical European style restaurant/bar where everyone is touching and breathing on each other. Everything's expensive, but it's L.A. I don't drink, but a $20 cocktail from a jigger is inappropriate. The other reviewer's pictures are inaccurate from the experience. All of the food was way too salty/way too rich. Once seated, we weren't acknowledged for 20 minutes. Server finally arrived and took our order, then 3 more before entering them into the system. Look, I've been a server, but that is an excessive amount for timely service. When the food finally arrived, 1 hour later with no warning nor explanation, the medium rare filet I ordered took 3 minutes to chew one of the already sliced pieces. My boyfriend, 2 minutes, but he has a larger set of chompers. Still too much time for what should be a melt-in-your-mouth-filet for $40 with a side of fries. It was not 6 oz either, as advertized. When I brought it to Jake the server's attention, he had the audacity to tell me that I should have ordered it medium well-well done because it's a filet. "Filet's need extra time to cook." Ummm...what? The Béarnaise sauce was not your typical Béarnaise sauce. It was their take on it, which I appreciate the creativity, but the butter wasn't clarified, it was broken, it was alllll wrong and holy moly! Hello Tarragon. Yowza. I also brought this to Jake the server's attention and he looked at me like a deer in headlights and said this is how Béarnaise sauce is. Clearly not knowledgeable in the classic mother sauces and how other sauces are created from them. I assume the chef is a smoker and can't taste. Listen, I'm not a food snob at all, as I love all food and experiences, but I'm also a classically trained chef. I was very disappointed. This was not on par with expectations. My fault for having them, but eww. Just not good is all I'm going to say. There are so many amazing spots in L.A. for half the price, better service, and overall better food/ingredients. There's simply something off about this vibe. I hope they up the game because it's really hard to survive in such a competitive market. Make your own decision, but buyer beware. This place has been around for a long time so maybe they were having an off-night. I got this recommendation from Timeout LA as a foodie. I guess that's why we are also given the opportunity to review. My recommendation, try The Airliner instead. Great food. Great service. Reasonably priced. Most importantly, the servers know what they're talking about. Best wishes fellow foodies!! Xo
The food here is always the experience! Never disappointed.
We had a great front row seat at the counter and enjoyed the show and atmosphere of the food and drinks being prepared. Dylan provided fun and relaxing service that was greatly appreciated. Also the rice pudding was out of this world for dessert!
The steak from the steak frites was the chewiest steak I
The steak from the steak frites was the chewiest steak I have ever eaten. It was super hard to eat and made my jaws and head hurt. But overall, the rest of the food was really well plated and was pretty yummy.
Ambience and welcoming committee was terrible.
Had reservations for noon today arrived at 11:55 AM was told to stand outside in the cold rain until they opened in five minutes. The hostess brought us in after 12 noon, and proceeded to seat us by the door/exit where it's cold and drafty; we asked to be seated at another table , there were two available tables at the end of the row. She refused our Request. My guest and I decided to leave and we enjoyed another local restaurant. You guys lost my business due to a very poor welcome.
Great French food.
French onion soup starts things off right. Large round tables are great for a bigger group. Excellent
Got the omelet , salad and French bread with butter.
Sat in the bar area. A bit crowded but great service and hostess. Enjoyed the French style food.
Is worth
Place discovered by chance, slightly strange location (in front of a car park), you can't even see it from the street. French menu, quality cutlery and napkins, high-level food, courteous service, apparently a very popular place on Melrose, a stone's throw from Hollywood. Slightly high bill but worth going. We will be back.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
