Oh la la!
Oh la la! This is a great spot on the main drag. Although it’s not very large inside they have outdoor seating. The quality of the sandwiches are excellent and the dinner menu is lovely-I had mouses frites. The bar area small but well decorated. A definite stop on a Hamptons summer / fall day
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing!
Food was good but an order of french fries was 17 dollars because they don't allow substitute. A manhattan was 30 dollars which is crazy. The restaurant was understaffed as they had one waitress who was great but she was tending bar as well as waiting tables. They had people at the bar and at least 13 tables of people. We left before dessert which I was looking forward to on my birthday. The owner should be ashamed that he was so short staffed. Will not return which is a shame as the food was good. .
Be the first to ReplyNever Again
Having eaten at Pierre's earlier in the month and having enjoyed the experience, I gladly agreed to join friends for New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, I will not be returning given the poor quality of food, service and overpriced meal. My entree was not edible (overcooked and shoe leather tough veal chop), the lack of not being offered the welcoming cocktail and a $100 per person bar bill for 2 drinks. Not only was the prix fixed dinner overpriced for what was delivered, the staff seemed eager to run up the bar tab to improve the amount of their gratuities. Overall this was not a pleasant dining experience that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Why should you go here? Well, you shouldn’t. Terrible music. Pricey and mediocre food. The bar crowd was from a sideshow: a man from a couple shoveling pieces of steak with his hand, a nit screeching at the bartender to pack her food for her son arriving later, and an overly chatty host with a barfly regular. How depressing. Passed this place many times, now will speed up as I do. It’s a damaging experience
Be the first to ReplyService as bad as the food
Sorry to say but the service was as bad as the food. The waitresses was arrogant and rude, manager came and must admit solve the service issue, unfortunately the food was bad ! Everything we took was not at the level ! Sorry, its very rare ( probably second time ) that i write a review, but i rather share it . Hope the management will take it in consideration.
Be the first to ReplyGreat job Pierre!
We try to avoid the south fork in season, but love this place so much we stopped in at 2pm on an August Friday. Although packed, we found two seats at the bar. Great and fairly priced bottled wine list, fantastic burger, even better service. Food and wine came faster than imaginable given the crowd. 10 stars.
Be the first to ReplyPierre lost his mind
Pierre us a megalomanic that has no clue about customer service and seems to have lost his mind. Rude to everyone, food is average at best, kitchen id in a disgusting state. Dirty in there and needs a desperate reno. Pushes customers around so its a surprise he remains in business. Toping rose is so much better and nicer dining room for the same money. Go there instead.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced……slow service but polite….food just acceptable…just average…but with a big bill‼️‼️❓
Overpriced…slow service…average food……don’t ask for recommendations as they charge top prices for mediocre products. I mentioned that the inexpensive champagne by the glass was charged at a super high price considering it’s quality…he couldn’t explain why and couldn’t care less. Don’t give them a credit card for a reservation there are other restaurants that will meet your needs…and you can choose. Always ask the price of recommendations.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible Experience
While the food is OK (only OK) the service is TERRIBLE. Rude staff; rude owner. No interest in pleasing the customers. Very expensive. Our bill for 4 came to $800.00 plus. Skip this restaurant like the plague unless you enjoy being treated like you are intruding on their stiff stuffy attitude. Among other things expensive wine was poured sloppily; while clearing the table (before everyone was finished!), bits of food fell from the plates into the wine glasses; no substitutions even if you are allergic to a side dish. Very hurried and uncomfortable. And do not even think of talking to the restaurant owner who is possibly the most obnoxious egotistic self-admiring person in the industry and for absolutely no good reason.
Be the first to ReplyArrogant Owner/Unpleasant Experience
The owner, Pierre (the guy for whom the restaurant is named), is fundamentally an unpleasant individual who makes dining here a very unpleasant experience for his customers. I have a been a customer year in and year out for 22 years and he still does not remember me and makes people feel like they are there to do him a favor. The most recent example of his off-putting behavior: I had just bought three expensive croissants this morning ($6.00 each x 3 = $18.00) from his own "Pierre" next door cafe this morning and sat at one of his tables outside. I was drinking a coffee I had bought somewhere else. He came up to me and - because I had not bought the coffee from him - wanted to kick me out despite the fact I had just spent $18 on his three overpriced croissants...and on top of that he didn't even recognize me as a regular customer after 22 years of patronage. His arrogance is boundless and has no limits. I WILL NEVER DINE NOR SHOP THERE AGAIN.

Lovely energy! Our first time at Pierre’s. The croque madame was incredible as was the mango salad. Cute tables outside but we preferred inside seating. Need to come in for dinner now!
Be the first to ReplyLovely intimate dining room
We had a lovely lunch served by a delightful server with a French accent. Best French onion soup on a wintery day followed by a perfect burger and fries. Others at the table had chicken soup which they thought was tasty. I got a bite of the very thin tart it was wonderful. I will definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyStinky birthday dinner for my husband!!
We arrived last night, 4 friends for my husbands birthday, the only ones in the restaurant. We were in a festive mood, and eager to order. We asked the waiter if we could substitute the watercress salad that came with my $50 skirt steak, for the kale salad., and he said no. Then I asked to substitute the French fries for the string beans and he said no. So I had to pay $17 for my kale salad, and $17 for my beans, and received my hangar steak on a big plate with nary a garnish.. it seemed very harsh and unappetizing., for those prices, they could have made my plate up with a sprig of parsley? Or been a tad more accommodating? I wouldn’t suggest eating here again. The waiter was very curt. And as we were his only table, he seemed like we were interrupting his evening. Go to Nick and Tony’s!!! They are much friendlier!! And will substitute salad or vegetable, easy peasy!!!
Be the first to ReplyOne of Our Two Favorite Hamptons Lunch Places
Pierre's is predictably excellent food and service every time we go there. It has become our favorite for lunch out in the Hamptons (along with the American Hotel in Sag Harbor). Best to book at weekends.

Canceled my reservation 2 days in advance came in the next day for dinner was told it was cancelled 2 months later charged my card a crazy fee. They do not care beyond rude
Be the first to ReplyWorst dining experience
Let me start by saying we’ve been going to Pierre’s for years. Almost every Friday in July we dine at this restaurant. We made a reservation through Resy and unfortunately couldn’t make it. The restaurant charges a $50 per person cancelation fee if you do not cancel within 48 hours. My husband wanted to be polite since we go there so much so he called, apologized for not being able to make it and canceled the reservation nearly 55 hours in advance. The host did not officially cancel the reservation until my husband realized the reservation had not been canceled when he originally called the day before and it was finally canceled 27 hours in advance. The restaurant charged a $250 cancellation so we called and explained that we originally called to cancel well before the 48 hour window. The hostess was sweet and told us to email Pierre. When we emailed and explained the situation to Pierre, he told us he would not refund the $250, and called my husband a “Karen” for trying to get the money returned. What a disappointing, and rude experience from a restaurant to had loved going to for years. Unfortunately, and needless to say, we will never step foot in this horrible establishment again... Not that Pierre cares as made very clear by his disgusting behavior.
Be the first to ReplyNever make reservation here!!!!!!
Had family emergency and cancelled reservation early in the day and told would not be charged. Even received email confirmation of cancellation. The next day they charged my credit card $200. I emailed the rude owner and explained the situation and didn't care. They must be really desperate to charge customers money for no reason. Maybe if their food and service was better they wouldn't need to rip off their customers. Beware of this and avoid. Much better restaurants in the Hamptons.
Be the first to ReplyRude treatment
During the shut down in summer of 2020 we went online and placed a takeout order. When we picked it up at the restaurant we noticed the price was higher than on the website. I called Pierre and all he said was “Well, if you can’t afford it…”. Have not been back since!!!!
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and nasty - AVOID!
It makes me sad to write this review. As a new local, I make it a point to support local businesses. Unfortunately I will not be back to pierres and discourage everyone from as well. The owner is an extremely rude and arrogant man who has no interest in making his customers feel welcome. Instead of welcoming me into his establishment - which was half empty - he insisted that i wait outside in the 90 degree heat while my wife was parking the car. It's not like the table would have been turned over in the 5 minutes it would take her to arrive - plus I would have ordered a drink! This is not the way a local businessman should approach local customers, in my opinion. And his prices relative to the quality of food/service just adds insult to injury. Please go to the other establishments in the area - they are far better and at least they value our business!!

Pro (Yep, just one): Pierre is a very popular Hamptons restaurant.
Cons (so many): Rude and inattentive service is for some reason acceptable in French restaurants despite the prices ($30+ for apps), but we stomach it because the food and ambience make it tolerable. Pierre serves consistently bland and flavorless food unfit for the slop line at the nearest low budget food mall. The service aims to not just annoy, but insult. Let's start with cleanliness before we start using words like character and ambience. I had plenty of time to inspect while waiting for anyone to pass who could bring me utensils and what I saw was a restaurant mangled like Delta house. Window screens bent and hanging off the windows, floor filthy and decrepit, and tired and stained booths, Hello Folks! We are in a pandemic, clean it and fix it.
Very good food, but!
We were guests in the Hamptons and went with our hosts to Pierre's. Pierre himself was genial and agreeable; we sat outside and the ambience at the sidewalk table was very pleasant.
The menu offered many choices, but we were very surprised at the prices. We knew Pierre's was expensive, but! From our experience, dishes up and down the menu cost at least 50% more than what very good restaurants charge in other places we have been.
We ordered a bottle of white wine, which was (surprise!) reasonably priced ($44).
The onion tart was absolutely delicious; the gazpacho, great; the lobster bisque lacked the richness and character of some but didn't stint on the lobster.
The endive salad was very good (but really, $30??); the mussels, excellent, as was the seabass; and the pastry desserts were very good.
Service was friendly and attentive, but was a little too pushy trying to move us out (i.e., courses arrived before we had finished what we were eating). We were also left without the necessary implements (fork, knife) a couple of times.
Bottom line: a pleasant evening with friends; generally very good food but way overpriced; and decent service. I rated Pierre's very good because of the food.
Service was so rude we left!
After too many days of shopping and cooking for my family I decided to go out for a leisurely Friday morning brunch with my husband. We strolled up to this restaurant with lovely outdoor seating. Of the couple dozen tables only three were filled. We walked to an empty one and a waiter barked at us that we would have to go into the restaurant to arrange for a table. My husband waited by the table while I I put on my mask and walked inside to find a completely empty restaurant. At the host podium stood a well groomed man in black trendy glasses flanked by two others. I politely explained I wanted a table for two outside. The man in the glasses peered down his nose and in the snootiest voice asked “do you have a reservation?” I told him no. He looked totally disapproving and then asked if my party was all here. I explained it was just my husband and me and my husband was outside waiting to sit down. Mr trendy eyeglasses grudgingly instructed the man next to him to take me to the table. By this point si felt totally unwelcome. By the time the waiter brought menus and I perused the $24+ eggs options I decided to leave. Went home and made breakfast. Too bad. The food looked delicious. Bridgehampton used to be more low key. Disappointing experience.

Gone down, badly.
There was a time when the salads were delicious, seats comfortable, the welcome was warm and the vibe was cool. That is now long past.
Upstairs for quiet, outside for lively
We are upstairs and it was like private dining and a terrific experience. Service was outstanding. The food and mixed drinks were delicious. The wine list was carefully selected for integration with the menu. The menu is very seafood heavy and not super extensive, so check that everyone in your party will find something delicious. Best dining experience in three days in the Hamptons and recommended. Outside dining in front is louder and more vibrant, but a little noisy, especially from traffic.

Got a plain Caesar salad. Yes, it was tasty. It was also 20 dollars for a tiny plate of lettuce croutons and dressing
