A favorite neighborhood pizza spot.
My wife, sister, and I come here monthly and it is consistently the best!

Came here on a weekday for pi day! You do a checkin with the host outside in front of the tree to put down your name and number of guests. Off to the side, there is a counter with 4 bar stools where you can wait at. We were seated where they do have heat lamps. Service here is definitely iffy. Our host wasn't very friendly when we arrived, we weren't given any water for a while and my root beer was forgotten until I mentioned it. Our pizzas arrived in a timely manner and it was hot. * Farm Egg, Ham, Asparagus, Gruyere-Mornay $19.00 * Lamb Sausage, Spring Onion, Garlic Confit, Mint, Tzatziki $19.00 * Mushroom, Pistachio Pesto, Green Garlic, Fava Green, Parmigiana $19.00 * Panna Cotta with huckleberries $8.00 * Complimentary key lime pie Our favorites were the farm egg and the lamb sausage. Looking forward to coming back here again for the food but maybe when we're less hungry.

The pizzas were very well made and had very creative toppings. Outdoor seating was nice!

Amazing gourmet pizza! If you're up for crispy and flavorful pizza, this is the place! Four of us came for a Sun dinner and they were full but no constant lines. Their menu was relatively limited, a few salad & cheese options and individual sized pizzas. We shared one salad and four pizza. The salad was tasty but portion was small. The pizza was definitely no joke! My personal favorite was the seasonal farm egg-ham-asparagus pizza, the ingredients came together perfectly and you can't find it in any other places. They have larger outdoor space than indoor. Overall not a big place, but chill and cozy.
Be the first to ReplyThe pizza is lovely and very new California cuisine.
The servers here and the draconian rules about what side of the tree one must stand on aren't the most inviting however. Hence 4 stars.

Let me start by saying I think the food at Pizetta is amazing. The seasonal salads always impress as do the weekly and every day pizza selections. Now to the not so great. In repeated visits the staff gives a way less friendly attitude. If you walk up and wait at their outdoor podium you may very well be told to stand on the other side of the tree to be helped. If you want to order take out, fidget getting the seasonal salad. I was flat out told that they do not like doing to go orders and they think it takes away from the experience. So pizza only. Ok if you don't want to do to go, don't do it but I really don't need a lecture. And not to sound harsh but that seems to be their general mode of communication. Last evening we walked over to have dinner, there was wait so I waited at the podium until someone came out. I was the only one waiting there. I was immediately told to stand and wait on the other side. Ok so I wait and how long is the wait for a table of two I ask. The reply is 20. 20 minutes? No twenty people. That really doesn't help someone know the wait. So we decided to go up the street get a couple of drinks and stop back a bit later to order a couple of to go pizzas. When we returned and waited at the correct spot the man who came out told us they were sold out on to go pizzas did we want a table. I asked if there were still pizza available for dine in and got another lecture...NO we count the dough, we have a certain and some saved for staff dinner and he went on and on... anyhow his confusing answer at first is the only reason I asked about dine in... I actually went and dined inside a few weeks ago on a Saturday evening. It was fairly slow there and I got a table inside. Service was perfunctory, but I got to hear staff complaining about having to serve a table of French people that had just arrived. Again the whole vibe is we are special, we don't really like the customer and you should feel blessed being allowed to eat out food. As I say the food is really great. the venue itself is really nice. But it really seems that the attitude of staff either comes from the top down or the owner and managers are oblivious... I really wish they could just be a little nicer cuz I do love the food and the environment, it's just not worth it to me to have the attitude

Service here is horrible, basically ruined my stress-free weekend period. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

So after living in the neighborhood for a few years I can confirm that many local folks have had similar experiences, and it's especially true if you have kids. This place just might be the unfriendliest place in The Richmond.

Shoutout to the dude with almost shoulder length hair and big guns who looks like Jodie Foster...highlight of my night .
Be the first to ReplyTo begin with, there was a wait to be seated.
Not a problem in itself as this is standard at many businesses. However, what followed was poor communication, abrupt and rude service and being left to sit in the cold for forty minutes whilst other later-arriving groups 'jumped' us for a table. The male waiter in particular was short, rude and made us (and other guests we had bonded with waiting in the cold) feel like an unwelcome inconvenience. If it weren't for the lack of choice in the neighbourhood I would've gone elsewhere. The food was good, arrived warm and order right second time of service. However, was not worth the wait or the 'hype' so to speak. I would only visit here off-peak in the hope the service is better but wouldn't make a trip from San Francisco where there are plenty of other options in my respectful opinion.
Be the first to ReplyWe tried to eat here on a cold Sunday night.
Place was busy & there was no indoor seating available. We were considering huddling under a totally insufficient heater outside, but when the host was incredibly rude to my girlfriend (& others in line) that made our decision easy. I don't care how good folks claim the pizza is - it's not worth being made uncomfortable by a bitter person who's clearly unhappy with their job/ life. If you scan the reviews, the rude host is a throughline ... unsure why business owner would keep them on - in a city with tons of good options, eventually poor service will kill your restaurant.

I had it for the first time since moving to this neighborhood. We got 2 pizzas which was perfectly sized for the 2 of us. We loved the olives they had and it was clear the ingredients used were of high quality. Didn't try the desserts but I'm sure they were amazing. I will be coming back there but without my cat as a cute dog was walking around. I'd say fairly priced as well.
Be the first to ReplyGood pizza but customer service could be better.
I felt like the waitresses are doing me a favor. Desert not very good.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent pizza with bright, bold flavors.
Salads were beautiful. Hostess and waitress were busy and uninspired.
Be the first to ReplyThe pizza here is SO good.
Just from right outside their door you can smell the flavors and herbs. I had ordered the seasonal farm egg, mushroom, leek, herb, fontina pizza and it did not disappoint. I suggest going a bit earlier because they have limited seating.
Be the first to ReplyAlways amazing.
Great product. Exceptional service. Delish. Love the new outdoor seating, so lovely on a nice day.

Wow wow wow the pizzas are so delicious! I like it better than square pie guys. My cousin ordered it for her son's 3rd birthday last weekend and I am so glad she did cuz it's so so delicious! My fave is the one with arugula on top and I can eat 2 if I am super hungry! It's super thin crust and the sauce just amazing nothing like I have expected just looking at it. I will definitely order it when I visit my cousin from now on! It's her son's fave pizza and he got great taste for a 3 years old! ;)

Food was great, and they made it pretty quickly but the young lady attending customers could have a better attitude.
Be the first to ReplyI went here with my friend a little while back.
I really enjoyed the intimate vibes here. This place is tucked away in Richmond and it's definitely a keeper. There isn't a lot of seating but indoor and outdoor seating are available. As for food, everything we got was great. I like their unique pizza toppings. The ham, egg, and cheese pizza was very good. The menu changes pretty often so keep that in mind. For two people, an appetizer and 2 pizzas was plenty. We had leftovers to take. This place seems great for any occasion, like date night, weeknight dinners, and dinner with the parents. There's a good amount of parking nearby and I didn't have to wait long on a weeknight. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing!! Unique thin crust pizzas and the flavor combos were too good! Loved the vibe
Be the first to ReplyHorrendous customer service.
Refused to sit me and my family because we were waiting on our 4th member who was arriving shortly and had already told us her order. We waited for 30 minutes outside, where we were told to "stand to the side" without any seating. Worst of all, while we were waiting we watched two other families who had arrived after us get seated immediately and they extended the wait time on us as a result. Serves were curt and short tempered with us, not explaining their "policy" to us at all. I suspect racial discrimination is a factor #StopAsianHate

Out of the avenues in the quiet residential neighborhood a warm glow falls on the beautiful sidewalk in front of this rustic cozy teeny restaurant. A pizza oasis, like a glowing beacon of magical warmth appears. With four inside tables, it is easily identifiable by standing crowds hovering to land a prized wooden table that attracts thin-crust snappy pizza devotees far and wide, who want to feast on some of the best this great City has to offer while enjoying intimate heated outdoor views. Pizzas are individual wonders with gorgeous cracker-crisp bottoms, blistered chewy rims and luscious heavenly Italian toppings each serving one to perfection, making it easy to share multiple varieties (we got two). Rotating weekly limited specials are offered. Check online for updated menus. Simple freshness of San Marzano tomato sauce with wild arugula and creamy mascarpone is a stand-out. Delightful attack of spicy and earthy notes flying from every direction. Lush and indulgent creamy mascarpone just the way I like. If you like a red sauce-y pizza, this will knock you off the floor and leave you wanting more. This very happy hungry gator who belongs to the Clean Your Plate Club (no shame) had already a whole pizza secretly wanted to order another San Marzano (coast guard eyes across the table). I'll dream about The Italian Sausage as it was well constructed with perfect cheese distribution, deliciously light, highlighting the Nardello peppers and sweet roasted garlic each complementing another in one harmonious balanced profile. Save room for their fantastic Flourless Valrhona Chocolate Cake with minute almond bits. This is an insanely rich chocolate dessert. Similar to a super decadent not cloyingly sweet and bright fruity taste of a chocolate truffle, this delectable and shareable cake is a delicious end to a perfect beautiful meal any night of the week. Nut-free dessert options available. Plan a trek because it is well worth the enjoyment. Omnipresent lines (walk-ins only) means the yummies never last too long. Accommodating for dietary needs. Attentive and pleasant service staff. Highly recommend!
Be the first to Replythey need to retrain their staff or something these people
they need to retrain their staff or something these people are so so RUDE i never experienced something like this ever they made me feel so dumb just sitting there waiting for someone to finally seat us(it was not busy at all)and they still continue to give us the most shit attitude ever i noticed they treated people of color much more differently and not in a good way, plus their food was not that good only finished it because i was starving it's a small portion and overpriced should be burned down just like their pizza along with the nasty rude employees
Be the first to ReplyNaurrr.
We stood at the entrance waiting for someone to sit us. Idk if we had to ask for someone, but the employees just stared at us. Also we were two women of color and the people eating at the restaurant & waitress at the entrance were all white people sooo gurl explain yourself. We saw the reviews and wanted to try the pizza so bad. Anyways we just left since they ignored us haha. We went to Fiorella Neighborhood Pizza which is near.
