Go for the experience, don't expect fancy food
Came here primarily because of my daughter's love of Pokemon. She thoroughly enjoyed this experience, from the themed food/drinks, to the ambience, to the goodies you can purchase. As a parent taking her, the food is not cheap and is itself quite average. However, at the end of the day, my daughter still loved it and would go back again... so despite the shortcomings, I would still consider this worthwhile and worth going back to again. PS. Reservations online get booked up fast, though there are often same-day openings if you go in person.

My son is a big Pokemon fan and we decided to give it a go. Covid regulations surely did not help the experience. My kids liked it but for us.....the food was overpriced and average to say the least. Happy to have done it for the kids but do not go there for some culinary experience.

Perhaps we were spoilt by all the great fresh food we had had in Japan, but the food here, while looked fantastic was pretty bland and tasteless, some of it felt microwaved. It's quite expensive as well. Staff were very friendly and enthusiastic though.

Visited the Pokémon cafe on the 26 Jan this year having made the reservation one month ago online. Staff will announce the timeslot which I booked (6.30pm) by holding a paper with the timeslot indicated when it’s v close to 6.30pm. Then, we were told of our seat number after confirming our reservation with the staff at entrance and then we walked in to look for our seats ourselves. iPad in various languages were available at every table for ordering. Each drink ordered comes with the chance of getting a surprise coaster by playing a game. Free plain water was also available. Ordered the Snorlax rice with chicken and before they served it to u, they will put a piece of grass-like table mat below it. Food wise was average but the overall presentation was great and fun. Halfway, Pikachu came and did his jiggly dance and interact with everyone. Do note that the gengar grape smoothie glass was not availble in the store and can only be bought when ordering the drink which comes with the option of getting the glass or not. Ended up buying the snorlax plate and pokeball cups and bowls after eating at the store. Overall, it was a v fun and happy experience eating here if you are a Pokémon fan.
Be the first to ReplySuper cute cafe but horrible food
The Pokemon cafe was so cute and well decorated for Pokemon fans. However when you switch the menu to English it just states “food plate” with no description of what was actually on the plate other items stated pancakes etc but made it hard to order especially when the people around us had food which looked quite odd (not sure why everyone is saying it is western food it defiantly isn’t. The waitresses and waiters did not speak English at all which made their interaction awkward and difficult. Overall the menu was very limited and we would not recommend the food but the experience for a Pokemon fan is worth it, even if you just buy a coffee. The exclusive merchandise is super cute.

The food isn't anything special and definitely not Japanese (think fast food), but the experience itself is great. It's extremely organized-- wait in line for your reservation time, you're handed a card with a table number, take that to the staff, and are shown to your table. You order on the iPad. Later on, Pikachu comes to visit! YOU MUST MAKE A RESERVATION IN ADVANCE AND IT SELLS OUT FAST... I woke up at exactly 2am Los Angeles time (right when reservations open in Japan) and it was almost all sold out. All in all, a great experience for Pokemon fans!
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience
This is a great restaurant for at least a I’ve time experience You can’t just walk in and have to book online at least a few weeks before Go to google and type Pokemon restaurant and use google translate to navigate The IPAD to order food has different languages. If you order the Pikachu dish and pay 1000 yen then you can get the plate otherwise you can’t buy it otherwise Same for the Pikachu mug, of you order any drinks then you get random coasters from playing a IPAD game A Pikachu mascot will also cone along which come along and interact with you and your kids You can pay with credit card as well I believe and the slot is 90 minutes long so don’t be late as you are losing time then Last order is 30 minutes before and check under your mat for a take seat Pokemon paper to take away Bring a A4 file to put it in otherwise it could get crumpled up The staff were very nice and even accommodate my religious aspect of not being able to eat beef All the main food had beef and I just said to not give me it, so j in was expecting to get a plate without beef BUT they actually substituted it for fried oyster which I was very happy with You get a slip of paper of your receipt and when you leave, you take it with you to pay at the very end
