5 stars is pretty accurate for this Michelin recognized restaurant, but I'm rounding up to 4.Came here for dinner last night and we were seated immediately around 6pm. The first 2 dishes that came out were the Mussels ($15) and Goat Curry ($18). Mussels were just okay (can be skipped) but the Goat Curry was definitely a sleeper dish. Did NOT expect it to taste that good! Definitely the best dish of the night. The mango chutney paired so well with the curry and the pancake wraps were the perfect texture. Highly recommend, and would get that again if I return. We had 2 more dishes coming but I'm guessing that's when things got very busy because there was an oddly long wait between them. We did say that it was ok if things came out one at a time, but the service got pretty slow which was a bit irritating. Eventually, the Lechon ($22) came out and it was... very fatty - probably like 75% fat and almost inedible. I was hoping it'd be 50/50 fat/meat at the very least. We ate the crispy bits and the bits of meat which were good but had to discard the fats. We did save and bring home the big bone, however, and plan to use it for a broth/soup. Then after some more waiting the Tocino ($17) finally came out. It reminded me of the Viet version of grilled porkchop rice - super homey and a true comfort dish. Quality-wise a bit average, but still satisfactory. Not sure if I'd order again, but I am curious about the chicken adobo since it's the Philippines' national dish. Overall an okay experience - I'd give them another shot.
