Be the first to ReplyThis cute cozy place in Aspen is a must visit spot in Aspen
This cute cozy place in Aspen is a must visit spot in Aspen for vegetarians. This restaurant is located on the top of a very cute book store and has all the vibes. The vegetable pot stickers were the main highlight of our dinner. We gobbled them up as soon as they very served. Entree selection was pretty good as well. I felt the price point $$ was a bit high for the food served but over all the experience was very pleasant. I recommend this place!

I was aggressively complimented by my partner for finding this place on yelp: I quote, "I'll never be the one to pick a restaurant for us to go to from here on out." Feeling proud of that.We were intrigued by the diversity of options, and by how balanced and packed they were with nutrients. But walking in was the real experience. So now, imagine walking into a bookstore lined floor to ceiling with shelves, up a rail staircase and past the second floor of books into a charming restaurant terrace and the trees just outside it.Mega delightful

Delicious and healthy food options in Aspen! We ate here twice during our stay in the area. We had corn soup, gnocchi (without cheese to make it vegan), Asian noodle salad with lemongrass tofu, avocado chocolate mousse, peach and berry cobbler, and raspberry sorbet. Lots of vegan options and gluten-free options are also clearly marked on the menu.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service; a nice healthy spot in Aspen.
Theres a cute library downstairs as well. I like how serene the atmosphere was as well

Through a bookstore, on a roof deck, yummy and nutritious with plenty of vegan options and low prices relative to other Aspen restaurants. The local eating next to us said it's his favorite restaurant, and I can see why.
Be the first to ReplyDon't order takeout from here.
Slow, terrible service, and dishonest billing practices. We really wanted to like this place. It's super cute and the menu looked good. We came before 6 one evening with a crying baby and ordered take out as we were in a rush. It took someone 10 minutes to come over and take our order and it took another 45 minutes before our food was ready. It shouldn't take nearly an hour for a to go order for three people. While we waited, we were ignored, despite our crying baby. We asked for water for the baby and it took ten minutes for them to bring it. We had to flag down five or six waiters to check on our order's status... finally someone said "but of course, the duck takes at least half an hour to cook." Would have been nice to know in advance. It also would have been nice for someone to offer us water or bread while we waited so long. But what was most frustrating was a hidden 15% charge that was tacked onto our bill. The menu said something about a service fee for parties of 5 or more, but nowhere did they say there was a mandatory 15% on a party of 3. Now I'm usually a generous tipper, even on takeout, but it would have been nice to be told of this mandatory fee in advance. Furthermore, the waitress didn't say anything about this fee when she handed us the bill so I almost tipped in addition. Not cool!We paid a lot of money and waited a long time For our food. This was some of the worst service we have encountered in a long time and the sneaky and mandatory 15% fee made me further regret we chose to order takeaway from here. There are so many other great choices in Aspen where the servers actually pay attention to you and show they value your business. I recommend finding somewhere else.

Perfect for a date or personal family outing. Good service and the food was up to par. I liked their matcha latte with oat milk and the.....Risotto.....

Pyramid is behind a book store in Aspen, so can be hard to find. In fact, we went in through the book store, but exited in the back as the book store closed before we finished our meal. It seemed to us that so many restaurants in Aspen seem to have focused on Asian food. Pyramid was along those lines. We began with the vegetarian pot stickers, which come recommended by many on Yelp. They were ok, but I would not order them on a return visit as they did not have much flavor, but no doubt were the healthiest pot stickers we have had. Our wine choices were the Malbec and the Chardonnay. Both were pretty good and reasonably priced. The chicken stir fry was kind of bland and the chicken was dry from overcooking. The duck was very good and recommended, although a bit tough. The best part of the evening was the dessert. A somehow reasonably healthy cobbler that maintained a great taste. Service was attentive and friendly. Our water was consistently refilled without requesting and the waiters worked very well together in coordinating taking care of us.

Tucked away on the upper level of the local bookstore, you are instantly greeted with charm and a warm reception by the team. Service was superb and team was happy to answer questions about the menu. Options on the Menu are clearly marked vegan or gluten free. The variety of vegan options to choose from is excellent so be prepared to actually decide on an option vs. simply going with the only one on the menu!As for the food, it was fresh and delightful! Started with a bread service, followed by their gazpacho, and wrapped up with farro risotto. Will be sure to return to try the other options.

Be the first to ReplySo happy we found this fabulous restaurant.
It's above the book store in a beautiful setting. We were with friends, and all of us thought this was the best restaurant of the week. First, I shared the beet salad with a friend, we loved it as a starter. I had the seared duck on gnocchi, absolutely delicious. One of my friends is Vegan, he claimed the risotto was the best he had ever had. Another friend had the stir fried tofu, he loved his dish as well. Happy to have discovered this quaint restaurant. Vegan's will love the menu, many dishes to try. I highly recommend!!

That in itself makes it interesting, and I think it would be beautiful to visit in the summer and sit outside on the rooftop. The place was cool, and service was nice, but the food was... interesting. Some of the dishes were just a bit off. Still tasty, but not a home run. I like that they have a lot of vegan dishes, so I'd likely give them another try next time we're in Aspen.Dishes tried:- Kale Crunchies with cashew crust. There was a lot of crust. And then, apple butter on top. Aesthetically not the best choice. Also, I like the idea of a sauce, but apple butter is too thick and didn't complement how dry and crunchy the kale was. Maybe it could be fixed by adding more kale, or instead a peanut sauce would have worked better- Thai Butternut Squash Soup (pumpkin seeds, pom syrup). This was a little spicy and actually really nice.- Mango Spring Rolls (carrots, mango, avocado, mint, cucumber, lettuce, curried peanut sauce). I was hoping for the mango to add more flavor, but the flavor didn't really come through as I was hoping. These were similar to most spring rolls, meaning that I liked them but they weren't too special- Lemongrass Tofu (forbidden rice, napa cabbage, broccoli, roasted peppers, cremini mushrooms, squash, cilantro, tamari & carrot ginger sauce). The vegetables were good, the mushroom added a lot of flavor, but the tofu/rice were too dry for my taste- Complimentary bread and pesto. This and the soup were both great.

Super clean and healthy food. Avocado chocolate mousse is to die for.
Be the first to ReplyBased on the reviews, we were so excited to go there.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The mango spring rolls were almost all lettuce - needed more mango or some other veggie. It felt overpriced for four pieces of what essentially was a lettuce roll. We also got the curry which the server told us was spicy but had no heat at all and the flavor was kind of bland for a curry overall. The veggies were nicely cooked though. The kefir shrimp was similarly lacking in flavor. It was cooked perfectly but there wasn't anything spectacular about it, no amazing flavors. The duck was delicious though. Had a lot of flavor thanks to the chutney and perfectly cooked. However, the gnocchi that came with it were burned and lacking in flavor. Service was fine but not outstanding. Had to ask for another drink. Did love the atmosphere though. Pretty outdoor area.

Be the first to ReplyThe bistro is always on our list when we visit Aspen and it
The bistro is always on our list when we visit Aspen and it never disappoints! The patio under the trees and the fresh, healthy and flavorful food (and fresh squeezed juices!) make it a wonderful place to spend the afternoon. We're grateful for the vibe, especially - nothing pretentious like so much in Aspen these days! Highly recommend the stir fry (and everything thing else!).

Food was overpriced, and the service was really disappointing. The waiter or manager walked by my friend and I and "shushed" at us very loudly. I found this to be extremely inappropriate considering we were having a regular conversation in an empty dining room.
Be the first to ReplySurprised at all the good reviews here.
The vegetable potsticker was an attempt of a potsticker with a hint of Asian. The chef does try with having fresh ingredients and I'm appreciative of that, but that's about it.The quinoa tasted like a dish created out of looking around the kitchen, putting everything together and stir frying it. Although not terrible, it was not good. Each bite led to getting more and more tired of the dish.Unfortunate as I really wanted to like this place. The waiter was very nice.

Love the whole grain bread and pesto! As a plant based eater, I'm so happy to have this as a choice. Friendly waitstaff.
