Props to the chef
We had an excellent culinary experience. One of the best restaurants in New York City. Everything we had was delicious. Props to chef Javier Carrasquillo.
Mucho éxito 🤟
Amazing Food and Service
The best place to hang, drink, and eat in the West Village. Ordered the bacon, broccoli, corn, fries, octopus, and a steak. Everything was excellent 10/10.

My friend and I went for dinner. Staff were really nice. Food was really good. Nice set up outside. Really enjoyed ourselves.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place, great food.
Great tasting food in a very nice atmosphere. Drinks were excellent too. Steak was done to perfection as was the steak that my partner had. Our server Christi could not have been nicer or more accommodating. When we mentioned that we lived in the neighborhood, she brought the manager Jenna over to say hello and see how we liked our meal. When we left, it was crowded but not noisy so you could have a great meal and a nice conversation at the same time.

A great place with a nice big bar. I came in around 7pm and still lots of nice seating at the bar. Come 8pm and it’s packed though. Really friendly service, too. What I like most is the dim lit atmosphere though could be darker. Still too bright. And also the food selection quite good. It’s hard to find a place that offers some of my faves like a main octopus dish and fried chicken. Really tired of the old steakhouse though the steaks here are quite tasty as well, I only had the bar steak and even that is of great quality and flavor that matches most strips and ribeyes from elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent family dining in Greenwich Village
Following the demise of the Greenwich Village Steakhouse just up the street we have needed a decent steakhouse nearby and Quality Eats delivers. Although they don’t supply plain bread and the starter salad was mediocre the burrata, spicy tuna starters were great and the steak and salmon both stood out. Kids are welcome too so it’s a solid family destination. Recommended.

Saw this on the Flay List and seeing it was a 5-minute walk to the Comedy Cellar, this was a no brainer for dinner.
We showed up early and had a drink at the bar with great service and good wine. When we were ready to be seated, they wanted to seat us close to the front door and it was around 9 degrees outside with windchill. We asked for a different seat and they were very accommodating after a slight wait.
We started with the broken wedge salad and the monkey bread. The salad was incredible, but certainly large enough to share if you want to save yourself for the main. Monkey bread tastes like a baked potato!! For dinner. We had the bar steak, which is the Bavette, but $5 less during the early hours. They cook the steaks on the light side, so you may want to order one temp up. On the sides we did the corn crème brulee and the spinach artichoke hush puppies. I loved the corn, but my wife thought it was too sweet. So, I ate it all. I did think the burned sugar on the top was a little too sweet, so I moved it off and cleaned the bowl. Neither of us were a fan of the hush puppies. They were not bad, but it was just a huge bite of spinach artichoke dip.
Get a reservation and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.
I would never ask for steak sauce in a place like this, but they brought out their own sauce. Try it… they bring it out for a reason.
Some good, some bad
We went here with my nephew. We did not have reservations so we were lucky to get a table after a not-too-long wait.
The restaurant is in an area that has lots of nightlife, and it's quite pleasant to visit. The interior is okay (but the restrooms are not the cleanest).
The service was nice enough, and both my wife and I ordered steak (both medium-rare). Mine was cooked perfectly while my wife's was overcooked.
Not a bad restaurant but not one that I will necessarily return to.
Best steak EVER
Last time I visited New York I enjoyed a wonderful steak at Keens. I was rather disappointed that they were fully booked on this occasion so decided to try Quality Eats.
After the waitress explained the different steaks on the menu, I opted for the Don Ameche, which comes on a bed of caramelized onion, parfait and toast, with a balsamic reduction. Taste sensation, couldn't stop smiling. Would've preferred normal fries opposed to curly, but that's my personal preference.
Although I was skeptical our waitress convinced us to try the hush puppies, which were lovely.
Finished by sharing a lemon and strawberry doughnut. Our favourite meal in New York.
Despite nice staff, the definition of meh
We met friends we had not seen in a long time. We decided to wait for an outdoor table and enjoyed a drink at the bar for about an hour. Both the hostess and bartender were extremely accommodating and friendly. When we finally ate, I was just blown away by the utter average-ness of the whole meal. The server was fine, but the salad, a sort of in a bowl take on a wedge was huge and a little runny, the dressing ok, but not loaded with bleu cheese and the bacon was just ok. I guess we were supposed to love the size, but that is for the chains. I would much rather have a small great salad than a huge ok one. One steak, ordered MR arrived much rawer than the other MR, so that's not the way they do it, that was a mistake. The server was ok with our sending it back, but both of them were sort of stringy and not flavored well. The fries had some sort of coating on them that made me think they might even have been frozen. The burger was also big, the bun looked sort of outsized, the steak salad apparently was very nice. The desserts, a graham cake and a birthday sundae were pretty good. As all the reviews say, it wasn't overly expensive so the whole experience was not a big deal, but we could have had a much more special evening elsewhere. I feel bad saying that because I did appreciate the staff a great deal; maybe it was an off night, but I would never recommend.
