Ramen Wasabi Chicago Reviews from The Last Year
If you're a ramen enthusiast or seeking an extraordinary
If you're a ramen enthusiast or seeking an extraordinary dining experience, Ramen Wasabi is the ultimate destination. From the moment I entered this cozy establishment, I knew I was in for a treat. Ramen Wasabi not only met but exceeded my expectations, leaving me with an insatiable craving for their tantalizing bowls of ramen. The ambiance at Ramen Wasabi is warm and inviting, featuring intimate seating arrangements and subtle Japanese-inspired decor. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, making me feel welcome from the start. The meticulous attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the carefully selected background music to the thoughtfully placed traditional Japanese artwork on the walls. The Spicy Roasted Garlic Miso ramen is a masterpiece, offering a delightful fusion of flavors and textures that dance on your palate. The egg noodles, cooked to perfection with an al dente texture, provide a satisfying chewiness that complements the rich and savory pork broth. This broth is a true testament to Ramen Wasabi's dedication to quality, as it exudes a remarkable depth of flavor. The standout component of this dish is the succulent and tender Berkshire pork belly, which practically melts in your mouth with each bite. Its rich and savory goodness adds an indulgent touch to the overall experience. The soft-boiled egg, with its luscious creamy yolk, provides a delightful contrast to the other ingredients. The inclusion of marinated bamboo shoots and bean sprouts adds a refreshing crunch to the dish, while the sesame, scallion, and garlic chips contribute subtle nuttiness and a delightful crispness. The sprinkling of chili threads adds a gentle kick of heat, perfectly enhancing the overall spicy flavor profile without overpowering the other elements. One aspect that impressed me greatly was the attention to detail in the presentation. Each bowl arrived artfully arranged, showcasing vibrant colors and enticing aromas. The generous portion size ensured that I left feeling fully satisfied. Ramen Wasabi has undoubtedly secured its place as a culinary gem. With its inviting ambiance, impeccable service, and unforgettable bowls of ramen, it has set a high standard for ramen establishments. Whether you're an avid ramen aficionado or simply curious to explore this delightful cuisine, Ramen Wasabi is a must-visit destination that will leave you yearning for more.
I came up from Indy to visit my daughter, she brought me
I came up from Indy to visit my daughter, she brought me here and I was really impressed. The Kimchi Pork Belly Spring rolls were delicious and my I had the Hakata Classic and it was so good and I even brought some home. We arrived 4 min till 5 to a small line. Totally worth it. Service was great, quick and efficient.
Got the original tonkatsu.
It is a very basic ramen broth with char siu. I do like the char chiu, it's chunky compared to the usual flat ones. Pork belly baos were good the lettuce in it was unnecessary. Tokyo wings were good, but wings were small, not a lot of meat on them. Service was great. Place looked him. Not a lot of seating.
Ramen wasabi speaks for itself.
My friend and I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. The fried chicken was work every bite. I ended up getting the vegan ramen which had great flavor and the spiciness of it was on point. The service here was okay given how busy it was. The overall ambiance was pleasant the natural lighting made the experience more memorable. You can go wrong with ramen wasabi!
This is a very tiny place.
Thank God for the outside area where we were able to be seated immediately. While my sister went to the bathroom, I looked at the menu and decided that we were not staying. Most of the dishes are cooked in pork broth. I don't do pork! I did see one vegetarian option, but it didn't sound appetizing or appealing to me.
Great ramen place! I do recommend coming early for their
Great ramen place! I do recommend coming early for their dinner time. We came 20-30 mins past 5pm and had to be on wait list. On the plus side there's a cute book store or thrift store across the street to pass time!
This place is hilarious.
Everyone says it's incredible but it's really hard to get a reservation. One time I tried to walk in and they said the wait is about two hours, and we won't call you to let you know. So we walked across the street to a sushi restaurant that's new in the area - Nomonomo Sushi - and I recommend that to people now.
Very very good, but for us, not "best in Chicago" or worth
Very very good, but for us, not "best in Chicago" or worth the parking hassle. We got the karaage, gyoza, seaweed salad, katsu don, and 2 kinds of ramen. The karaage was quite good, esp the togarashi mayo dip. The tonkatsu broth was super rich and had lots of umami. The chashu meat was outstanding and you get a thick slab of it in your soup. But overall the food was incredibly salty. Note: If coming for dinner on Friday/weekend you MUST arrive soon after they open at 5 pm. Otherwise you will never find nearby parking (all the side streets are permit and Milwaukee Ave fills up fast). And, you'll have to wait outside to be seated. There isn't room to wait inside.
When it's cold and raining and I want a good bowl of ramen
When it's cold and raining and I want a good bowl of ramen and great service this is my go to! Now it's not easy on the budget but for the quality and quantity of food you receive I think it's more than worth it! The karage is my always as ordering goes, and the tonkatsu or shoyu ( without fish chips) are great! The poke is surprisingly good but has too many onions for my liking so I get it without! The ambiance is welcoming enough to eat here comfortably solo! Love it love it!
It was about time I tried the number one ramen in Chicago.
Idk what took me so long, but I finally ate at Wasabi. Here's a heads up, there's already a line outside the restaurant waiting before they open, so be on time or be ready to wait. They open at 5:00pm, and by 5:20 pm the whole place was already packed, and people were waiting by the door. I went with husband and my brother and we were so happy and impressed about everything we ate. We had the Karage as an appetizer, it was juicy and very flavorful. The mayo that came with it was delicious. My husband and I shared one ramen and my brother had his own. We both the original tonkatsu ramen with pork belly, but my brother substituted his with chicken. Both were very delicious, a very rich porky flavor broth and just explodes in your mouth. We also tried their tuna poke bowl and that too was very great. Costumer service was also good nothing out of the world but our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were ok. The place is very nice decorated, my favorite thing of the place was the middle triangle table that can sit up to 8 people. I loved it. The place is also very family friendly so bring your kids. Highly recommend this amazing ramen.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
