The meatball is the only thing I have tried here.
It's excellent! Have been back several times. Just thinking about it is making me hungry.
Be the first to ReplyI felt this was average.
My mother got the seafood frutti de mare and I got clams with linguine. Canned and fresh clams in mine. Smaller portions and light flavor. Not savory at all. Good with white wine. Happy hour is 5-7 now. Check it out. It's just drinks on the hh menu

Next house salad and Caesar salad we have ever had. The rib eye is a must here so is their chicken parm. All their pastas are ย great so is they bread basket. The place is a bit dark but the staff is amazing . So helpful and attentive. The waiters are nice and helpful. Will definitely come back.

This review is from early November 2021, just before they closed. The food was really good, although the service was lacking a little. The Caesar salad was great, the best I have ever had. Hard to say what they did, I guess just high quality, fresh, homemade ingredients. The meatballs were great as well, very tender and flavorful. Fritto misto, (fried calamari, shrimp, cod, and zucchini) served with remoulade and marinara sauce very good.Crab carbonara, parmesan ย risotto, and Uncle Vincent's Lemon Chicken completed our meal. Everything was better than expected nothing disappointed. I do hope Rao's opens in a new location in Las Vegas Very soon, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for Italian food.
Be the first to ReplyI called three months in advance for a reservation.
Apparently they close down their Vegas location and never notified me. We had nowhere to go that evening. After I had been anticipating eating at their delicious restaurant for many years. It is impossible to get into New York as the tables are personally owned. And so I worked really hard to make sure I was available for a reservation at the Vegas location. No one called me, no one cared. Even though Hotel apologized profusely. But they could do nothing as it's privately owned. It would be nice for them to contact their patrons
Be the first to ReplyWe have eaten dinner here several times.
The food is good but pricey. We usually get an appetizer to start. We both like the meatballs (which are huge) and the angel hair pasta (my husband and I split this). I think when you order food that bread should be complimentary, but they charge you for a bread basket here. This trip (11/24/21) I ordered the crab carbonara. I wasn't impressed and I wouldn't recommend it. There was very little crab in this entree.I felted rushed by our server this trip. I don't know if they (the servers) are trying to "turn and burn" to get maximum tips, but I hate feeling rushed.

Our family went to Rao's Italian Restaurant at Ceasar's Palace on 11/20/21. We had the worse service from an Asian short male waiter (note, we are Asians also)! He did not even introduce his name and the special on the menu for the night. We were expecting top-notch service, but instead, the service of this waiter ruined our night! We almost wanted to walk out! Service was so slow; the waiter was not attentive nor respectful. My Dad ordered Bombay gin with a lemon twist, and this waiter, with a stern tone, asked my Dad, "What do you want, double or single?" It is amazing how this short Asian waiter told my husband, "You know people want double sometimes, that's why I'm asking." I could see in his non-verbal gesture how he was prejudiced and appeared as if we were not worthy of courtesy and respect. In the service business, the perception of the customer is always important! We ordered red wine from this waiter, and again, his response was, "What kind of red wine do you want?" Instead of giving us the choices of red wine, Rao's had to offer. At this point, I was ready to leave and walk out! However, my Dad wanted to order some red wine. This time, the short Asian guy stated, "What size do you want?" Oh my gosh, his tone was rude and condescending. He could have informed our family politely that there were two sizes and explained what the Rao restaurant offered! Lastly, we are a Ceasar's Palace Diamond Total Rewards member. It was surprising how we were treated rudely without courtesy and respect! If servers get training to set aside their hidden prejudice and bias, we would not have this experience. We have been going to numerous fine dining all over Las Vegas. Our dining experience at Rao's was the worse! Our food came late, ย what was on the menu and selection of wine drinks were not explained, and the overall service was horrible! Never again we'll go to Rao's at Ceasar's Palace!!!My receipt showed the name of the server was John. This was the only time I found out his name. The food was not that great, considering the price. I would instead go to Cheese Cake Factory!!! Plus, worse experience with the service! Calling the leadership team at Rao's, please make sure that your waiters and servers get training to be courteous to their customers, regardless of their ethnicity. The waiter's hidden bias in treating their customers would manifest through their choice of words and nonverbal gestures!

We were lucky enough to get a reservation a week before the location closed. Items ordered: meatball appetizer, bread basket, Caesar salad, lasagna, vodka penne, chicken Parmesan, cheesecake. The bread basket wasn't anything special but the Caesar salad is one of the best I've ever had. The meatballs were delicious and tender. The garlic butter sauce on the steak is AMAZING. The cheesecake is super creamy! Everyone enjoyed their meal very much and we are very sad to see Rao's leave Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyNOT WORTH.
This place was expensive, but the portions and quality of the food we received did not match at all! We ordered for to-go, which ended up being ~$55 just for an order of penne pasta with vodka sauce and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were fine (hard to mess up) and the penne pasta was undercooked/chewy (we had better pasta at Carmine's the next day). Because the pasta was ~$30, we expected a larger and shareable portion... It was not. The portion size was somewhere along the lines of a 5x8" box. I wished we had just ordered cheesecake factory for cheaper single portions or Carmine's for shareable portions for the same price.

Wanted to try Rao's before the Vegas location closed and to try the infamous meatballs. I really wished they opened earlier (like many Vegas dinner places). Being from the east coast- eating at 8 sucks. But overall, it was a nice experience. We had the meatballs and bread as an appetizer. The meatballs, despite being very velvety in texture - were a hair bland and underwhelming. For dinner, my wife had the risotto (excellent) and I had the spaghetti bolognese. Interestingly enough, the meatballs that were overwhelmingly blah by themselves , worked extremely well as a meat sauce with the pasta. Had the tiramisu as dessert, was average. Service was great, reservations had priority seating.

My daughter loves Italian food, so before this establishment close their doors, she made a reservation. I had the Risotto which I would say was just ok. The best dish we shared was the Crab Carbonara. The Bolognese and the Lasagna we were just fine. I am happy though that we got to try this place!
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I have been going here for years.
ย We were always huge fans. We hadn't been since Nov 2019 due to COVID. Our visit tonight we extremely disappointing to say the least. Our server John is the only reason we didn't get up and leave, he was amazing. ย The menus (both wines and food) are a fraction of what if used to be. I understand they will be closing at the end of the year after 15 years. At this point they should just close now. I do not recommend going there anymore. It's too bad too
