Great Food, Fast, Efficient service, Not Cheap but You Get What You Pay For.
We're the grandparents and while spending a week-end in NY with our daughter, her husband and two teen-age girls we dined at the Red Farm. It is not cheap but worth the price since the meal was exquisite in every way. The service was quick and efficient and although, as a late booking, and with 6 of us we had a time limit of 90 minutes and were very pleased with the experience. The Peking Duck is a show piece and not to be missed. The dumplings were excellent. Wine and beer prices very reasonable

I tried to access the website for the menu and all I got was some godaddy crap. Give me a break. And this review has to be one hundred …
Be the first to ReplyTruffle shrimp… say no more
A friend recommended we visit Red Farm when we came to NYC. We arrived at the restaurant hungry, after walking & exploring for hours. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The shrimp with truffles was mind-blowing. Try it!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food. Wonderful staff
We sat at bar because restaurant so busy. Bartender couldn’t have been nicer! She was fun and made us feel welcome. Food was very good with huge portions.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, pricey and rushed!
The food was lovely, they seated us although they were busy. We were rushed thru a bit and they have restrictions on what you can eat and order when. Just a bit random. When I paid the bill and I was there for just over an hour and the bill was the best part of 386. I understand they want the table, but come on… it cost you 10/15 dollars to make this food. Ok so we had a beer and 2 wines. So the mark up is huge. Great food, but production line to get us out. The bill was also delivered before we had even asked for it!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful dinner
We had a lovely dinner here. Everything was delicious, particulary good were the Soup dumplings, the cocktails and dessert were also excellent. The place was packed, we couldn’t get a table inside, so we reserved a table “outside” which worked out OK; not the same atmosphere as inside, but it was heated so could sit there even on a cold day. Strongly recommended.

I have dined at both locations in Manhattan and Red Fram does not ever let you down. Customer service is impeccable and the managers, Andy and Craig are customer orientated and always accomadating. They are gold standards of NYC restaurant managers. The food is out of this world and generous. They are also vegetarian friendly. I wish I can recommend one dish but I can't although the steak is out of this world and perfectly cooked. The choices are all delicious! Reservation advice = Make sure you order the Peking Duck well in advance. If you love Thai, Japanese and Chinese, try Red Farm. You will be delighted and want to go back. I can't wait to go with my British family to the London location.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious! Uniques flavors.
We had several dishes . The rib eye was amazing. The udon noodles with short ribs was delicious. Grilled chicken fried rice was great. Three Chili Chicken was perfectly spiced. The staff was VERY friendly and efficient. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We prefer a booth which was comfortable and private.
Be the first to ReplyA great place to eat - just don’t be rushed.
Came here as a very highly recommended restaurant by family members who live in, or have visited NY. We travelled quite a long way from our hotel to go to Red Farm and it was really worth it - the place was very busy and had a great atmosphere, As we were 15 minutes early we sat at the bar for a drink first which was lovely. We ate soft shelled crabs, salmon in black bean sauce, egg and bacon rice and wide noodles. For dessert we had chocolate cake and key lime pie with an outstanding lime sorbet. All the food was lovely and with drinks ($10 for a can of beer) the total bill was $218.86 which included a 20% tip. So, why only 4 stars and not 5? The service was just a bit too fast for my liking and made me feel as though they wanted to get us in and out - but remember, that may just be the New York way!! This was obviously a very popular restaurant - I would definitely go again but would like to spend a little more time there I should say that all the staff were very nice, just quick!
Be the first to ReplyGood food but over priced
Food was very good and staff very friendly. Menu pricing was a reminder of the current hot topic - inflation. All jokes aside - prices were out of whack with the dishes. Hey - with good reviews you get to charge but unfortunately we won’t be heading back from a value perspective but we will try out some other options etc. to see if our view of pricing to experience is accurate.

Red Farm really lived up to the great reviews. We were going to a show at the Beacon Theatre so we arrived around 5:45, and by the time we finished our dinner at 6:30 the place was heaving and many were waiting to be seated. The atmosphere is comfortable and it’s one of the most spacious NYC restaurants I’ve very been to. There is room between tables, you don’t feel like your on top of the table next to you. There were also plenty of people eating at the bar. The wait staff is friendly and will give great suggestions from the menu including dishes and quantity to order. The food was excellent! We opted to order 5 small plates to share instead of ordering entrees. We had the duck with lychee (amazing), 3 color vegetable dumplings (probably the best dumplings I’ve ever had), the tuna salad - vibrant and fresh, black cod tart, and the crispy oxtail dumplings. Each small plate was not only delicious, but was presented beautifully. The flavors were great. The meal was slightly on the expensive side, but the food is so good you won’t mind. Highly recommend!

This is my second time to Red Farm and I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. I have been to both locations in Manhattan. Food and service is impeccable. Unfortunately, I cannot suggest one or two dishes as the entire menu is incredible. Andy Wang, one of the managers sends out a personal email to ask about your experience and I was happy to give him positive feedback. I cannot wait to return to Red Farm, preferably at their latest location in London. Thank you Andy and the entire staff at Red Farm for making our dining experience so enjoyable.

Only try, but really slice of home. Original taste, lovely foods, best staffs. Hm, the duck was amazing.
Be the first to ReplySo delicious!
The food was so so very good and the presentation was completely delightful. Yummy cocktails. Good wine list. Helpful waitstaff
Be the first to ReplyWe are a family of four foodies, and Red Farm delighted all of our taste buds! Yum!
A casual and sophisticated atmosphere with friendly, helpful service. Our family of 4 Adults food-loving adults had no problem finding lots to taste and savour. The food was fabulous!!!
Be the first to Replydidn't live up to promises
The dumplings were good, the rest of the food merely OK. We found this rather amazing given the restaurant's high pretensions and extraordinarily high prices. Photographs on the menu are misleading. We have eaten much better at unprepossessing Chinese restaurants for much less money.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing meal!
This was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The food was fresh, well-seasoned and delivered to the table without a long wait. Must try items are the duck, pastrami egg rolls, vegetable fried rice, and Sichuan chicken dumplings. If you're visiting New York, add this to your list of places to visit.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service!
Had a fun dinner with family on Sunday night. The place was packed, but service was excellent throughout the meal. My favorite item on the menu was the pastrami egg roll.
We also tried the bbq beef fried rice and the Nueske's bacon and egg fried rice. I didn't care for the flavor of the bacon fried rice, but enjoyed the beef fried rice.
Other dishes we tried were dumplings and egg rolls. They have a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, entrees are served family style. Reservations are definitely needed on the weekend.
Some of the best Chinese food in the US
We had an incredible dining experience here: the food includes some of the best Chinese dishes I’ve had in the US. The dishes were creative, tasty and left me wanting more even though I was so full. The service was top notch, and the room was intimate and comfortable. I can’t wait to come back.
Be the first to ReplyLocal favorite perfect for visitors seeking a taste of New York!
Red Farm Broadway is our local favorite. Perfect place to take “tourists” for a taste of New York like my brother and (vegetarian) nephew visiting from Boston: Pastrami Egg Rolls for my brother, everything else easily vegetarian. We loved the three color dumpling; tofu with mushrooms and mixed vegetables; string beans with Brussel sprouts in black bean sauce (perfect!); vegetable fried rice.
Also a good choice with our gluten-free & dairy-free daughters: but be aware that their mushrooms are sauteed in butter. The garlic chicken is a great, ”safe” choice but the salmon is not.
Great lemonade and mixed drinks! Perfect for groups. Fun place!
Superb meal!
I chose Red Farm so that we could order the Peking Duck (from Decoy, the sister restaurant). You need to make a reservation for the duck & Craig was very helpful and patient with my changing my reservation dates three times (big thanks!).
Well, I can report that our party of 8 loved every bite of our meal: pork belly, soup and Pacman dumplings and pork buns, udon noodles with beef, as well as the star of the show, Peking Duck! The meat was super tender and the pancakes were light and fresh (it was some of our first Peking Duck that we actually liked, too). We had fun trying the 3 sauces with it (hoisin was our favorite). Next time we will love to try out more of the delicious menu! Also, our waiter, Dan, was just super (we all commented that he added to the experience).
One of my favorites
If I lived close by, I would be there multiple times each week. The food is addictively delicious and the service is friendly and pleasant.
Be the first to ReplyAlways look forward to going here!
I come here on every trip. The food is fantastic, the service great, and I love the neighborhood feel of the place. Everything I have every had is fantastic, whether I order dumplings, soup dumplings, the amazing pastrami egg roll (always have to have this) or any number of other dishes.. Not to be missed.

Just moved in to the UWS and Red Farm was recommended to us by a friend. Loved it and can't wait to come back.
Enjoyed the cocktails and the food. So many options to choose from so we'll want to try different items next time.
Nice, friendly and knowledgeable service too!!
