Restaurant Le Dalí Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Great time
Arriving a little early for brunch, we were very pleasantly received and invited to wait in the lobby. The restaurant is superb and the staff very elegant. We enjoyed the pastries and the variety of dishes including artichoke with truffle, Bellota ham and sea bream. The cheese platter is limited and might be worth reconsidering. The trompe l’oeil passion fruit is really good.. and what about the cookie.. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten one as good. In the end, an excellent brunch in a magnificent setting and orchestrated by very pleasant staff.
What a desappointment !
What a desappointment! It all started with the reservation several weeks before the brunch. We had to call back 3 times to finalize the reservation. We are asked for the imprint of the bank card and we tell you that after 15 minutes of delay, the card will be charged. Start of the Meurice experiment: zero. We arrive 15 minutes early and there, you are asked to wait in the cramped lobby of the hotel. No offer to settle down or have a coffee. The only option is to picket the hotel lobby. At 200 euros for brunch, you have no right to any consideration. Brunch is shipped. We barely give you time to finish before we bring you the rest. Lots of people to crack down, too many. Suddenly, it's confusion. We asked for champagne with dessert, and they came and served us at the very end when we had nothing left on the table. Regarding the brunch itself. The pastries were excellent. The rest was, especially the dishes, ordinary, not to say bland. We expect to be surprised, let alone disappointment. The cheese platter was a rickety platter of Camembert, Comté and Mimolette. How original. We have the same ones in our fridge. A little imagination! there are so many choices in our country... Desserts: chocolate mousse, ok. A rum baba, yeah and... a trompe l'oeil passion fruit. Finally a little originality! In short, it's a forgettable experience. Other establishments offer much better quality services.
Pleasant moment with a big “but”
Coming to lunch a little late, shortly before tea time starts, this does not however justify a relaxation of the service. The staff is nevertheless very friendly, well dressed, with elegant gestures. Among the little hiccups that should not be tolerated in an establishment of this standing: stain of sauce spilled on the tablecloth by a waiter who doesn't care, forgetting to bring the wine which finally arrives two mouthfuls from the end of the dish , employee who responds with a "No worries" when we would rather expect a 'Please'. The cuisine is not inventive, it is not strictly speaking chef's cuisine: salmon as a starter with sauces, piece of beef in sauce or chicken accompanied by fries. We expected better. A menu was requested, in the end we only had the menu with prices at the level of a Michelin star, which the Dali is far from being. That being said: the room is splendid, as is the hotel, which is also very clean, we were very well seated, the atmosphere is pleasant, the products served are of high quality, such as the homemade sauces and creams and the perfect cooking! The desserts are of good quality. The meal was therefore very pleasant but the score was much too high compared to the expected experience.
Tourist trap, disgusting cakes
very very disappointed with the experience and the tea time today The cakes were not good, disgusting and we could not choose the cakes we wanted to taste which were imposed on us Regarding the three small bites, presented as sandwiches, it is shameful and especially for the smoked salmon bite, the quality of the salmon was truly of very poor quality The value for money is shameful to wonder if your palace, today only works for the Americans €80 per person for three mini cakes, three savory bites and two disgusting scones, it’s really making fun of the world We see Excellence on TV and when we arrive there it is rather very mediocre to wonder if today it is only money that counts there is no longer any quality or any sense of service. We arrived at 4:15 p.m. we were served at 5:15 p.m., an hour of waiting for three miserable cakes that were disgusting, overrated, too sickeningly sweet to avoid, it's a tourist trap. It's a scam.
A great experience with two hiccups... Too bad. A failed dish, ravioli in-culpable because it is hard and rubbery...
A very nice place, a service with some shortcomings compared to the standard. A cooking error for a dish... Inconceivable at this level...
The Dali very beautiful room
Very warm welcome, very good service, a treat, the flavors were there, we enjoyed it because the dishes were brought to us, no need to get up, also beautiful presentation of the dishes, very nice room, not noisy Congratulations also to the entire kitchen team, we thank you
Christmas Tea Time
After a slightly disorganized welcome, the tea time was superb. Magnificent room, quality and attentive service. The pastries were wonderful. Special mention for the hot chocolate (a marvel), and the apple juice (incredible natural taste). Experience to live!
My traveling companion had a friend who had tea at Le Dali
My traveling companion had a friend who had tea at Le Dali and wanted to go. I made a reservation without checking Yelp first. Now that I have read the other reviews, I see that Le Dali has a long tradition of bad service. In a city known for surly and slow waiters, Le Dali stood out, and not in a good way. We ran out of water to drink, but tea was not forthcoming. I had to contact a supervisor to get the tea brought. The waiter made a great ceremony of turning over the hourglass and told us not to pour the tea until he returned to do it. He never returned. The bread on two of the sandwiches was dried out. The food was generally underwhelming for the price. Go elsewhere for your fancy tea experience.
Flawless
Very nice experience Remarkable service where customer care is the concern of every moment Exciting sommelier who listened to us and offered a blind tasting of an astonishing Meursault, special congratulations to him Flawless
A very nice place, nice principle but average welcome, too bad
The room is magnificent, lights and music, spaced out. The reception is very average, despite the reservation you have to wait for the table, no word of apology, ask the waiter after ten minutes of waiting to order. Nobody takes care of anything. The cart is pretty, good without being incredible except for one of CG's pastries but I expected better. I emphasize the very nice possibility of leaving with the leftovers. A great time, thanks to my company and the atmosphere
Unforgettable tea time
Having high tea at the Dali in Hotel Meurice is always a treat. Each season brings a new signature dessert made by the famous Cedric Grolet. This time we had figs and mirabelles that looked so real we barely dared to break the delicate chocolate shell to taste the fruit compote inside. The scones are also remarkable, aerial, light as clouds. Take time to enjoy every single minute of this experience.

This place is overpriced and overrated! First it is not a restaurant. It is an open lobby of Le Meurice. Beside the standard of high ceiling, long windows, some pots and plants, there was not much to see. There was no separation. The tables were right in the passing corridor of hotel guesses. If you expect a quiet and delightful afternoon tea time, then this is not the place. We arrived 15 min early and wanted to wander around. Instead after checking in, we were told to sit in waiting area and waiting to be called. 20 min later no one called, we asked the hostess. And again she checked our appointment and told us to wait. 10 min later we asked again then were ushered to a table in the corridor. There were only us, a party of two, and another older couples. Otherwise there were peoples walking around with suitcases and kids We asked to have another table further away the traffic. The hostess was not pleased. She placed us after 10 min of excuses. And the place was empty at all time! The pastries were supposed from a famous chef, Mr. Cédric Goslet. There were 8 pieces in three trays. Two of them , chocolate stuffed with cheeses in the form of fruit, cherry and peach, were excellent, delicious and artful. Likely the work of the chef. The others, 2 scone muffins, 1 salty salmon bagel bite, 1 chicken sandwich, fresh berry, and red velvet cookie were supermarket grade. They could be found in other sidewalk coffee shops. The chocolate were delightful. They looked like fresh fruits, but they were cheese and chocolate, melted easily with a gulp of tea. Wonderful taste and lasting sweetness! The teas were fine. We have tasted better teas from South East Asia or Middle East. They were typical Western European teas. Our waiter was quite nice and polite. The service was however less attentive. There was a little 5 min sand clock timer. We had to wait 5-7 min for tea fully soaked. Well for all these, $100 per person was a little difficult to swallow ( no punt intended). It was surely one time only experience

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
