Restaurant Olivia Denver Reviews from The Last Year
I haven't left a Yelp review in some time but I needed to
I haven't left a Yelp review in some time but I needed to for this establishment. In summary--Olivia lives up to and exceeds the hype. My girlfriend and I dined in yesterday for her birthday and everything was absolutely fantastic. Service? Exceptional. Food? Legendary. Drink selection? Perfect. Ambiance? On point. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great evening.
I went here for my birthday dinner with my sister.
The earliest reservation they had for two people was at 8:30 pm even after I booked the dinner 1 month in advance---they are BUSY. We tried the tasting menu and I got the Reserva wine pairing with it. 5 courses with 6 beautiful pairings cost us about $400++ but I would pay it again in a heartbeat. The food was so good, and deceptively served in smaller portions. The one dish I did not like out of the five was the Fritele which came out too salty for me. I would preface that this IS how the restaurant presented it and I just personally do not prefer food that are too salty. The wine lairing they had with it was a great choice for the slaty course. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, but I'll Definitely save up for the next time.

There was a miscommunication on a pick up order, but the staff handled it properly. The Alfredo and French onion ravioli...off the chart. Let's keep these small businesses in business, go visit them!
I ordered the takeout Easter lasagna dinner for 2.
I had ordered the vegetarian lasagna but when I came to pop the lasagna into the oven I noticed it was a meat lasagna (which smelled delicious). I called the restaurant and they said they would do all they could the remedy the issue and said that the chef would be able to make a vegetarian lasagna for me, in the middle of a dinner rush. I greatly appreciate Olivia's ability to meet their customers needs. Even as a takeout order, absolutely wonderful! Thank you Olivia!
One of Denver's best Italian restaurants and extremely
One of Denver's best Italian restaurants and extremely deserving of their new Michelin star.! They have surprisingly healthy portions and everything is divine. The two best pastas imo are the tagliatelle and the ravioli, but you can't go wrong with any of them
This place was really good for Italian food.
I consider myself an Italian foodie as I lived in Naples for 4 years. We did not have reservations, but called ahead and were seated in the back room which was not as nice as the main room but still nice - it's just near the bathroom. hmmm...The staff prioritizes service and all of them take care of all of the tables; tips are divvied up at the end of the night and they share! But they also add gratuity to your check so don't pay twice! I ordered the bolognese tagliatelle which was perfectly prepared. Often I am so disappointed in Italian food stateside (not to sound like a snob but I know this cuisine well). This place is the real deal; you won't be disappointed. The only drawback is that there is no off-street parking and no private lot so prepare yourself to parallel park somewhere.
What a lovely dinner at a woman owned restaurant.
The pasta was delicious and the duck was good but I'll try something new when I go again.

The ambiance and the service are both very welcoming! The food was excellent, especially the eggplant Parmesan and the burrata.
Ok but rushed
A top rated Italian restaurant with homemade pasta. Food was very good but the portions were very small. Restaurant is small and reservations hard to grab. While the service was good — not great — we were RUSHED in and out. For the price, it should not be a “fast food” alternative……

Olivia's, you live up to the hype! Came in on leap day and I was taken back by the beautiful ambiance. I loved every detail and decor of this restaurant! We couldn't decide what to order, so we ended up ordering the whole menu, literally. Probably the best decision that we made and the cost per person is about the same if you've ordered the tasting menu. The dishes that stood out the most and I can't stop thinking about is the tortellini, gemelli, risotto, fennel bisque, and cheesecake. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish that you've order, each dish is unique and the presentation is beautiful. The service is impeccable and super attentive to the point your cup is constantly filled with water. I can't wait to come back here!
Service was good.
Food was tasty but very small portions. Very pricey and very limited menu. Wine was served in maybe 4 ounces in a glass. Left there very disappointed.

Definitely recommend one of my favorite restaurants in town I really like the service and the food is
I was last here just after they opened in Jan 2020.
Very bad timing with the pandemic only 2 months later. They switched to takeout which works for pasta. They have since expanded into a next door space which allows more customers and a separate private dining area. I reserved my table thru Tock with a $25 deposit which was refunded upon my arrival this evening. I started with an interesting cocktail, a Vanilla Negroni for $16. Similar to a white negroni, but less strong. I got a large chopped salad with diced green apple and a healthy dose of grated cheese served with a wedge of foccacia & whipped butter for $14. I got a 2nd appetizer, Risotto Arancini with braised short rib for $19. I added a 2nd cocktail, a Negroni Sour for $17. Very interesting flavor. My entree was a large bowl of Bolognese Tagiatelle. Great meat & pasta. I added a glass of 2020 Tiberio - Montepuliciano d'Abruzzo for $17. A rich well structured red wine that paired well with meat sauce and pasta. For dessert, I had a Pecorino cheesecake with huckleberry preserves. The Pecorino cheese was not sweet like Philadelphia brand or Ricotta cheese but more acidic. It was very smooth and tart. Overall, a great meal. I was served by Whitney M who recently moved from Napa, California. Very knowledgeable about their food and beverages that pair well with food. Light background music. The executive chef, Ty Leon delivered several courses. Ty Leon also brought me a free Amuse-bouche to clear my palate made with Pomegranate and Meyer Lemon sorbet. Their back bar has not yet opened, but it will be an Amaro bar. The demonstration space for pasta classes, limited to 8 participants opens soon. I will return.
A wonderful place to eat.
My dinner club had this on the list and they did not disappoint. The Spaghetti, Tagliatelle and Ravioli were all wonderful. The chopped salad was a perfect addition and their drinks are so unique. I had the Watermelon Boulevadier, a must try. The dessert was a Tiramisu and my favorite was the olive oil chocolate cake. Definitely returning! A must try!!
Easily one of the best dinners we've ever had.
There was a lot of hype about Olivia - lots of folks recommended it - and it completely exceeded expectations. The best way I can describe this food is masterfully crafted. The dishes seemed simple, but every flavor was meticulously balanced. No dish had "too much" of anything. And we experienced flavors we'd never tasted before - the mark of a top tier chef in my book. The bread: Amazing. We tried 4 of the pastas - all of them were incredible. Our server Greg was a hoot! Super funny, gave us all sorts of great recommendations, and we had a great evening in part because of his service. The only bummer was our table, which faced the gas station across the street. There's nothing you can do about it though, and we saw some pups outside so that was nice. 5/5, amazing. Everyone should try Olivia if you love Italian and have a reason to go all out.
Let down
Special menu for Valentine’s Day was very disappointing. The review is for this meal only and we hope this is not a sign of new management or chef at the restaurant. We sincerely hope that more care is given to regular menus and maybe we should not come in the future on a holiday. We have had multiple exquisite meals here, but this meal did not come close to the quality you would expect for the expense of a wine pairing and meal. The pasta is wonderful which is why we rated 3 stars. The main courses were both sub par. Fish was cold, fishy and odd maybe more like a roulade. The duck was oddly sweet and chewy. The duck did not have a crisp skin. The wine pairings were focused on cleansing the palette with lots of acid and less on complimenting the food. To top the evening off, the dessert course which on Valentine’s you expect will be excellent, was a cold brownie they called a torte (on the online menu was sold as a souffle.)

6 of us waited 4 weeks for our reservation with anticipation of excellence due to all the hype and coverage that this restaurant was receiving. The service was fabulous. The restaurant quiet enough for a party of 6 to enjoy each others conversation and the room was well lit with marginal ambiance. The food...appetizers were hot and tasty. We ordered the anrancini and the octopus. Both were served hot along with focaccia bread that was warm and delicious. When our entree's came everyone felt that they were served room temp and all lacked luster. I ordered the spaghetti al limone with poached prawns. My homemade spaghetti was mush the prawns were shrimp bits and it was drenched in butter. It was served room temp and had no aesthetic appeal when served. Other meal as were all confirmed to be mediocre and the diablo dish was so spicy one member of the party could not eat it. . With the price and the lack of quality, I won't be going back
The food here is exquisite.
Everything on the menu has a distinct farm-to-table taste and texture, which is very unique for an Italian restaurant. Their menu is small, featuring a handful of thoughtfully crafted dishes prepared using what tastes like the best possible quality of ingredients. The service is impeccable as the staff executed every aspect of our experience to perfection. They even went as far as bringing us palate cleaners between courses, brought complementary champagne for our anniversary and came over to refill our drinks the second the glasses became empty. The earthiness of the tomatoes and pecorino cream in the green-colored Gemelli dish made for some unforgettable bites, we felt as if we tasted the sheep a little if that makes sense. The Culurgiones were pleasantly spicy with had some very intriguing flavors. And the Focaccia, let me tell you is probably the best bread I've ever eaten. But on the other hand the Pecorino Cheesecake is also on that 'one of the best' list given how soft it was and how great of an accompaniment the huckleberry preserves were on it. I'll say however that in the small plates, the Grilled Spanish Octopus left something to be desired. The octopus was delicious but we wish there would have been a little more on the plate for the price. Also the cocktail program is not the absolute best, as although the cocktails were strong the flavors seemed a bit muted. But those back-of-our-mind drawbacks definitely didn't detract from our experience whatsoever. There's also a comparison to be made between Olivia and Tavernetta, both similar Michelin nod-worthy establishments. The flavors I would say are a little more amplified at Tavernetta and their cocktail program wins out, but Olivia provides the better experience and that farm-to-table taste in the ingredients is unforgettable and simply can't be beat. Olivia also wins out in the desserts category for sure. The price is definitely worth it here, you really can't go wrong picking this place for your next special occasion or date night. Reservations are hard to get, but that is for good reason and the wait is certainly worth it.
Just WOW
Outstanding! From the minute we walked in the door until we left, this flawless restaurant wowed us. Kudos to the team of professionals who made our experience incredible. The food-WOW. The service-WOW. The atmosphere: WOW. We were in the biz for many years and this restaurant is top 5 and maybe number 1 in service. Thank you Shane, the Sommelier who is humble but incredibly knowledgeable, thank you Miguel for your bright smile and warm welcome, thank you Steve for your fun banter and keeping Katie’s water full LOL. Thank you for the team in the back for a beautiful meal. And thank you Austin for the private room that was completely unexpected and lovely! Thank you for making Katie’s birthday the best ever!
Yuuuuuummmmm
We had such a great dinner at Restaurant Olivia! We just asked our server (Kayla - AMAZING!) to bring us everything she thought we needed to try. She did not disappoint! We tried the burrata, arancini, chopped salad, onion ravioli, peach and corn tortellini, gemelli, and the tagliatelle. The topper was the pistachio gelato that comes with the lemon olive oil cake. So stinking good. Everything was so delicious. The service was outstanding. Can't wait to go back.
Perfect for a special dinner
I have to say Restaurant Olivia met our expectations for a celebratory special dinner. Food and service were great and the dining room, while small, was very pleasant. We started with cocktails, which were all expertly prepared. The menu is manageable, but not overwhelming. We did not find all of the dishes on the prix fixe menu option appealing, and so we ordered a la carte. There are a number of pasta dishes and appetizers, but only a couple of traditional entrees. Service begins with a wonderful focaccia, complementary, which is becoming a rare treat these days, and I always appreciate this now. It's hard to believe that some Italian restaurants don't even offer bread these days. We enjoyed our all the appetizers we sampled. A real standout were the grilled asparagus. Perfectly prepared. The Venison Polpette were delicious as well. The chef used huckleberries in the preparation which was such a pleasant surprise. Everybody in our dining party enjoyed their pasta selections. Perhaps the weakest dish was the spaghetti with shrimp. Nothing bad here, but for our taste just the weakest. Parpadelle with lamb was delicious. One disappointment was that the menu online showed stuffed squash blossoms, which were not available. I realize there is always a risk of the online menu veering from the actual offerings, but I was surprised as this restaurant seems to pay attention to details. Some things to be aware of that might bother some diners. A 20% tip is added automatically. Not a concern for me as I usually tip that much for good service. I know this policy may offend some, so know this before you go. A pet peeve for me is restaurants that use Tock, which is not my favorite platform for reservations. When I see Tock, it usually means I have to pay a deposit or the full dinner fee up front, and there are often strict policies to cancel. I get it, but sometimes things happen. Another dislike about Tock is that restaurants don't credit your check, but issue a refund, so sometimes you are waiting day for your refund, AND you've paid for your full meal. Boo to restaurants that use Tock. Keep those points in mind, but otherwise I expect you will have a great meal at Olivia!
Lives up to the hype!
Where to start?? The top 3 meals we've EVER had. From the house made bread and freshest, perfectly dressed salad, to the wildly amazing palette cleanse and divine pastas, to the most innovative desserts, everything was perfection. My *only* complaints were: - BOOK IN ADVANCE. Like 3 weeks. Tiny, TINY space with maybe 15 tables. - because it's small, it'll be loud - portions are on the smaller side. The chef only prepares enough bread for 1 small loaf/table or two for a 4 top. So if you want more, tough luck. Ravioli portion is tiny and my husband was bummed their wasn't more. - If your reservation is late, they will be out of something you'd like on the menu. For us it was an appetizer. - water that is always filled for you is warm tap water, not chilled or with ice; definitely a bummer. - pay attention to your bill. Website says a 20% gratuity would be added to tables of 4+. We were a 2 top and the 20% had already been added. Little sneaky on their part. Overall, the perfect flavors of the dishes outweighs most of the nuances we noticed. Bravo 👏🏻

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Appointment
I was waiting on the transfer for name but it hasn’t happened yet and my reservation is tonight , will it be an issue that is hasn’t changed into my name yet
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Just got scammed!
Thats unfortunate but you can always get your money back if they cancel the reservation.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
